All I Wanted
Chapter 28
The trip back to Tree Hill was alot more quieter and un eventful then the couple had expected. Aside from the car radio playing Angie just stared out the window.
Brooke and Lucas made it a point to stop often on the way to the airport. Hopeful Angie would open up by talking or trying to interact but she didn't she simply kept to herself.
Brooke slowly drank her second bottle of ginger ale. Trying to calm the morning sickness that was taking over.
She finished off one package of crackers then handed over the other package to Angie.
Angie shook her head from side to side.
"You have to eat something. We're on the way to the airport. Once we get seated moving around won't be allowed while the plane is moving. I have cookies if you would want that instead." Brooke said pushing the large bag towards the young girl.
"No thank you." Angie replied. Focusing her gaze towards the window.
Lucas got back in the car and restarted it. Looking to his wife.
A sad expression across her face.

Hours Later
Tree Hill
After hours of flying the family unit of three finally got back to town. When they entered the home. Angie looked around then looked to Brooke and Lucas.
"How many kids am i sharing a room with.?" Angie asked.
"Just yourself. The upstairs is all yours. We talked with you're social worker. We decorated the room in a way you would like with the colors that are favorites of yours and you have a closet full of clothes and shoes. And a fresh set of PJ's to change into." Lucas replied.
Angie's eyes went wide. "Alright what am i expected to around here.? The two of you are fostering me. So what are the rules i have to follow.?" She questioned.
"Be a kid. Get settled in. We'll enroll you in school. We don't have much expectation other then you doing you're best and if you need help in any way. We want you to come to us first." Brooke replied.
"Brooke and I are having twins. Those babies will share a room." Lucas informed her.
"When am i going to see my momma and daddy.? You said you had a way to contact on them." Angie questioned.
"We are still working out the details on that. Once we have the needed clarity and have access to you're parents. We will let you let's us show to you're room." Brooke said. Leading the way up the stairs.
Lucas followed along close by. It wasn't until the pair got Angie inside the room did they start to see a reaction that wasn't so removed.
"Thank you." Angie said. A small smile went across her face. As she clutched the purple monkey.
"You're welcome. We'll be right down the hall if you need us." Lucas said.
"Brooke could i have some cookies and milk please.?" Angie asked.
"Sure. I'll bring it right up." Brooke replied with a smile.

Weeks Later
At 10 weeks along the babies were the size of two prunes.
Brooke cautiously ate her breakfast of dry toast and yogurt. Feeling her stomach turn as she swallowed.
"Are you feeling any better today.?" Lucas asked as he came down the stairs and kissed her good morning.
"No the nausea and vomiting are still very much present."
"But the positive side is i'm starting to show. My flat stomach is finally beginning to get round and poke out. My body is changing already. It took me longer then normal to get dressed today but i'm happy." Brooke said. The emotion in her voice thick.
"You look beautiful. Stunning in a way i can't describe."
