-Chapter twenty-eight-

-Santana pov-

Today is a special day! Mami is turning 40 years old. I can't remember the last time she celebrated her birthday. I don't think she likes remembering she is old.

But that changes today! The moms are going to treat her to a spa day while we fix up the house. We are bringing the club over to help. I can't wait to see her reaction.

There are somethings she won't be able to do at the spa sadly. But I think she'll still have a fun time. I can't wait to meet my baby siblings when they come! I hope the moms get married by then.

"Santana!" I jump and look at Rachel "You gonna help decorate or just stare into space?"

"Help" I get up and walk over to the decoration box "I'm gonna help"

"Thank you" She smiles and leans into my ear "If all goes well maybe we can finish the night of with some fun"

"Not making plans without me right?" Lucy comes in with a smirk "That would just be cruel"

"Tease" Rachel gives my cheek a peck and walks away "Come on! We got decorations to get done!"

I smile and grab some decorations out. Today's gonna be a good day.

-Shelby pov-

"I can't do most of the things in there!" Maribel is still sitting in the car pouting "I just wanna be able to enjoy a day with you three! Holly can't do somethings either!"

"There are things we all can do" Judy opens Maribels door "Come on! You haven't even tried yet!"

"No" Maribel pulls the door closed "I want to know we all can do something together!"

"You and hormones will be the end of me" Judy sighs and turns toward me "You are up"

"I like how when she's mad she is my problem" Judy walks to Holly while I walk to the door "Mari? Can you open the door and let me in?"

"No" I hear the lock go "Just leave me alone"

I sigh and put a hand to the window "I can't do that Mari" I give her a small smile "You know it's not the same if we all aren't together! We can't do this with out you!"

"Yes you can" I can see tears in her eyes "Everyone can do stuff without me..my own daughter doesn't even want me anymore"

"What do you mean?" Maribel doesn't respond "Mari?"

"She pushed me out the door to you three today" Mariel wipes her eyes "The plan has been set on my fortieth birthday for years now...it was supposed to be me and her at the movies, then dinner, and then a walk through the park...she forgot because she doesn't need me anymore"

"Oh Mari" Judy walks back over with Holly "She didn't push you out..she sent you with us cause..well"

"She's setting up a party at home" Maribel looks up at us surprised "She wanted to surprise you with our friends and family"

Maribel smiles "Really?" We nod and the door unlocks "I guess if she planned this then I should be good right?"

"Correct" I open the door and hold my hand out "Now come one birthday girl"

She smiles and takes my hand. Let's hope we don't run into anymore hiccups today. I also hope that Santana still does the plan these two had tomorrow. I think Maribel will be upset if they don't.

But all I can do is talk to her.

-Time skip-Santana pov-

Everything is looking perfect right now. I know we had original plans but those can wait. I want her to spend a day with all of her family. She deserves a good birthday.

The glee kids finally came and started helping out. The house is complete and now it's just waiting time. Judy sent a text that mom knows now. I didn't push for why she does.

I know she wanted it to be her and me today. But I wanted this to be special. I wanted her to be happy. Maybe I should have held back on this though.

But it's too late now. I just hope she enjoys it. It has taken a lot of hard work. I'm proud of what we have done today.

"They are here!" Marley backs away from the window "I hope they didn't see me just watching"

"You are so easy to worry" Unique shakes her head "Let's just focus on making this a good birthday"

"Yeah" Marley nods "Good birthday"

The door knob turns and soon it opens. The moms voices can be heard as the lights turn on. Mom is leading them in. When they get close enough everyone jumps up.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

"Oh Mija!" Mom smiles wide as she looks around "It's amazing! Thank you so much!"

"I'm glad you like it" She pulls me into a big hug "We can do the years long plan tomorrow ok? For today let's spend your birthday with loved ones"

"I couldn't agree more" Mom gives me a squeeze before letting go "I hear you also have the birthday song ready?"

I nod and walk over to the radio. It's becoming tradition so why stop.

-Santana singing-

They say it's your birthday

It's my birthday too, yeah

They say it's your birthday

We're gonna have a good time

I'm glad it's your birthday

Happy birthday to you

Ah

Ah

Ah

Come on

Come on

Yes we're going to a party party

Yes we're going to a party party

Yes we're going to a party party

I would like you to dance (Birthday)

Take a cha-cha-cha-chance (Birthday)

I would like you to dance (Birthday)

Dance yeah

Oh

Come on

I would like you to dance (Birthday)

Take a cha-cha-cha-chance (Birthday)

I would like you to dance (Birthday)

Oh dance! Dance

They say it's your birthday

Well it's my birthday too, yeah

They say it's your birthday

We're gonna have a good time

I'm glad it's your birthday

Happy birthday to you

"We also had a special song prepared thanks to Santana" Blaine smiles "She said you enjoy this song a lot so I hope we do not ruin it for you!"

I look over at mom who looks confused. I shrug and just smile at her. I think she will enjoy this.

-Group-

Is this the real life?

Is this just fantasy?

Caught in a landslide

No escape from reality

Open your eyes

Look up to the skies and see

I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy

Because I'm easy come, easy go

Little high, little low

Any way the wind blows

Doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama, just killed a man

Put a gun against his head

Pulled my trigger, now he's dead

Mama, life had just begun

But now I've gone and thrown it all away

Mama, ooh

Didn't mean to make you cry

If I'm not back again this time tomorrow

Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come

Sends shivers down my spine

Body's aching all the time

Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go

Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth

Mama, ooh (Any way the wind blows)

I don't want to die

I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

I see a little silhouetto of a man

Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?

Thunderbolt and lightning very, very frightening me

(Galileo) Galileo

(Galileo) Galileo

Galileo Figaro

Magnifico-o-o-o-o

I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me

He's just a poor boy from a poor family

Spare him his life from this monstrosity

Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?

Bismillah! No, we will not let you go (Let him go!)

Bismillah! We will not let you go (Let him go!)

Bismillah! We will not let you go (Let me go!)

Will not let you go (Let me go!)

Never let you go (Never, never, never, never let me go)

Oh oh oh oh

No, no, no, no, no, no, no

Oh, mama mia, mama mia (Mama mia, let me go)

Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?

So you think you can love me and leave me to die?

Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby

Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here

Ooooh, ooh yeah, ooh yeah

Nothing really matters

Anyone can see

Nothing really matters

Nothing really matters to me

Any way the wind blows...

"Thank you" Mom smiles and wipes some tears "You've truly made this old ladies birthday!"

"Now that the songs are done" Judy holds up the cake "How about some birthday cake?!"

Everyone cheers and I walk with mom to the cake. I love our family that is growing. I can't wait for the next birthday. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I hope everyone will be together for it.
