It was morning, and Snotlout was lying down on the deck of the Going Tiger. Hiccup and the others had taken everything that wasn't nailed down, including Astrid's tangerine trees, leaving the ship completely bare say for his possessions. He got what he wanted, but somehow that didn't make him feel any better.

Hiccup wasn't feeling any better; he was sitting on top of the tower overlooking the hotel where they were staying. He began to wonder whether he could have broken the news to Snotlout in a different way, at least a way that wouldn't have upset him.

A huge crowd of people, mostly reporters, currently outside dockyard one because they had heard rumours that Iceberg had been attacked. Additionally, people had heard about the destruction of the Eret House as well as the scuffle out on the cape.

"Who was the first to find him?"

"Can they please answer a few questions for us?"

"Who's the culprit?"

"Are there any suspects?"

"Is there any connection between this and the annihilation of the Eret House?"

"What your position? Can you give us a statement?"

The streets were also abuzz with rumours mostly.

"Hey, did you hear about what happened to the shipbuilding island last night?"

"Is it true? Did he die?"

"Eret did this; I just know it. You leave someone like that run around free, and this is what happens!"

"Well, it might have been those pirates that have been hanging around the shipyards past few days. Word is, there was an explosion out of the cape last night."

"You think there's a connection?"

"I don't know for sure, but there have been a few pirates fighting with the foreman recently."

Ragnar had been out searching for Heather but with no luck. In the end, he returned to the hotel room only to find a completely empty and discovered that everyone was sitting on the roof, except Astrid and Fishlegs.

"So this is where you've been?" he said. "We went through all the trouble of renting a room, and no one is using it. I guess no one could sleep, huh? And where's Hiccup?"

"Over there," said Chopper pointing towards the tower. "So, where were you?"

"I kept a lookout over the Rocky Cape all night," Ragnar sighed. "I wanted to be there in case ever came back."

"Oh," said Chopper.

"I take it she didn't show up," Ruffnut assumed.

Ragnar shook his head. "She never said anything about leaving; I wonder where she went."

"Ever since we got to this island, it's been one bad thing after another," said Chopper. "Our money was stolen… then there's everything that happened to poor Snotlout. He's injured, he can barely stand up, and by now, on top of everything else, he's probably got a fever."

"Chopper, that's enough, okay," said Toothless. "Don't talk about him any more."

"I had half hoped that this was all a terrible dream," said Tuffnut as he looked down at the city.

"I think I'll try looking around her in town today," said Ragnar.

"Do you think we're going to find?" Chopper asked.

"I don't know; it's not like I have anyplace specific in mind to check out. Just have this gut feeling that she's still here somewhere. If anything should happen, we should use this inn as our meet up point."

"I wanna help; I want to come to," said Chopper.

"All right then, come on," said Ragnar.

However, then suddenly storming onto the roof was Astrid and Fishlegs with frantic looks on their faces.

"Hiccup!" Astrid yelled.

"What's the matter?" Ragnar asked.

"It's awful," said Fishlegs. "The whole city is talking about it. Hiccup, something terrible happened to Iceberg last night."

Hiccup turned his head to look down at the two of them.

Palmer had just received word himself from Lasse over the transponder snail.

"What? Iceberg was shot at his home?" Palmer stared in disbelief. "Stop screwing around! Is this some kind of joke?"

"It's no joke," said Lasse.

"Is he alive? Who would do such a thing? Everyone loves Iceberg!"

"Yes, he's alive calm down, Palmer. Listen to me for a second, okay. He was discovered in his room earlier this morning lying in a pool of his own blood. Like I said, he's alive, but he's been unconscious since he was found. You need to come to the main office immediately."

Palmer then slowly put the receiver down, still shocked by what he had just heard.

Lasse had put the receiver down, and then Silvernose approached him.

"Lasse, where's Palmer?" he asked.

"I just called him; he'll be here soon," said Lasse.

"Good. Reporters are all over the place; it's mass hysteria out there. We're the ones who would like to know what happened. The office has been torn apart, but there's no trace of anything been stolen… no money… no valuables… nothing. If this wasn't a robbery, then the question is who would try to kill Iceberg and why?"

"At any rate, we're in big trouble here," said Lasse. "The city is in total panic. If anything should happen to Iceberg, then it's not only the end of the Galley Law Company but the entire city of Water 7 as well."

Iceberg was currently in his bedroom been overlooked by Lael and Kala, and he was on life support.

"Doctor, please, what is his condition?" Kala asked with tears in her eyes.

"He was shot two times in the front and another free from behind," said the doctor. "I have no idea what happened in that room last night, but whatever it was, it was brutal."

Lasse was bringing Silvernose up to speed by what the investigators have found out so far

"According to forensics, there's no sign of the lot been picked to his office or anywhere else in the building," said Lasse. "The incident occurred in the room no one could have entered. The only thing at a place they found was a mass you could buy just about anywhere."

Back at the inn, Astrid and Fishlegs had just told everyone the bad news about Iceberg.

"Iceberg? He's been shot?" Hiccup stared.

"Yes," Astrid nodded. "I hear he's still unconscious."

"I thought everybody in this entire city loved that guy," Hiccup frowned. "Why him?"

"Who are you talking about?" Tuffnut asked.

"Whoever he is, he sounds important," said Ruffnut.

"He's the nice man that helped us out so much yesterday," Astrid explained. "The present of the shipbuilding company as well as the Mayor of Water 7."

"I can only imagine how the city is reacting," said Ragnar.

"Yeah, it's about the worst thing you can imagine that could happen to this town," Fishlegs nodded.

"Let's go check on him then," said Hiccup as he jumped back onto the roof.

"I'm coming to," said Astrid following him.

"And on that note, let's go look for Heather," said Ragnar. "Come on, Chopper."

"I'll come to," said Fishlegs.

Ragnar looked at Toothless and the twins. "And you guys?"

"I'm just gonna stay here and see how things turn out," said Toothless.

"We're staying too," said the twins.

It didn't take long for newspapers to litter the entire city and on the front page while the details about assassination attempt Iceberg.

"Extra… extra… read all about it! Iceberg, our beloved mayor and hero of Water 7, has fallen victim to the hands of an assassin! This is an urgent news report covering the incident!"

"This is terrible. Is Iceberg okay?"

"How awful. Who would do such a thing?"

"Hey, give me one of those!"

"Who did it?"

"It doesn't say."

"No clue."

"You with the newspapers there some crucial information missing here!"

"What's the deal?"

"Does anyone know anything?"

"What's going on?"

"On the pirates would pull a vicious attack like that out of nowhere. No doubt about it."

"I would like to get my hands on the ones who did it."

"There were a bunch of pirates rampaging through Dock One just yesterday."

Lasse was sharing his speculations with Slivernose.

"I know it sounds crazy, but I think the Government did this," he said.

"What?" Slivernose stared. "What are you saying?"

"I'm talking about Corgi. Every time that he comes to talk with Iceberg, he gets rejected and leaves. I don't truly know what he's trying to speak with him about, but he must have done this out of spite."

"I would keep that theory to myself," Silvernose advised. "If you openly blame the World Government, it will be taken lightly."

Palmer was rushing towards the office as quickly as he could on the back of a squire.

"Who in the hell did this?" he said, his face covered in rage. "I'm not going to let them get away with it!"

He soon reached the main office and was immediately swarmed by reporters.

"Excuse me, but can we get about this incident?"

"What were you told before you came here?"

"Shut up all of you," said Palmer as he continued to make his way to the office. "Get the hell out of my way!"

"Tell us what explanation were you given by your company?"

"Palmer, please a comment!"

"I don't have time for this crap! Get out of here!" Palmer barked as he pushed his way through.

"Are you aware of any incident that could cause someone to target Iceberg's life? Anything at all?"

"There must be something! An altercation with pirates?"

Palmer finally lost his patience. "Did you idiots hear me! Get out of here!"

Hiccup and Astrid were riding on a Squire through the canals, making their way to Iceberg. Hiccup was sitting at the back reading the newspaper as Astrid held the reins.

"Looks like the rumours were true; he was attacked," he said.

"Yeah, we go to the shipyard, and most likely, we will be able to meet with him," Astrid nodded.

"What about his house?"

"I believe that he lives inside the main office."

"No doubt that place is jam-packed with reporters," Hiccup frowned.

Astrid then noticed they were actually riding down the same street where she had found Snotlout; there was still a trace amount of his blood on the pavement. She still couldn't believe that he was no longer part of the crew.

"Thinking about Snotlout?" Hiccup assumed.

"It's nothing," Astrid assured him.

Eret had arrived back at Water 7 after his business transaction, but he was completely horrified by what he was seeing when he got to the Eret House.

"Kalena… Kaley… I-I'm I sleep?" he said as he stared at the demolished building in front of him. "Is this a dream?"

"This is no dream," said Kalena, who was the twin without the goggles.

"Without a doubt, this is the very spot where the Eret House stood," said Kaley.

"But something like this happening…"

"…just seems so extreme."

Eret removed his mask, revealing himself to be a handsome black-haired man in his 20s. "What the hell is going on! Who would be stupid enough to do something like this to my house?"

However, he already knew the answer there was only one person in the entire city that would go to such extremes and had a general cause.

"Hold on, I know who," he said, clenching his fist. "Damn you, Dragon Conqueror Hiccup. So this is your payback for stealing your 200 million Gil. How dare you treat my faithful men this way."

"It's so heartless," said Kaley.

"Unforgivable," he said furiously.

"Eret! Bro!" Teeny yelled as he and other members of the Eret Family appeared from behind some rocks, badly wounded.

"You came back!"

"Thank goodness!"

"You guys all right?" Eret asked. "What a relief, thank goodness."

"It was terrible," said Teeny as he fell to his knees. "Those pirates are completely insane. Listen, we've been keeping track of what the Dragon Riders are up to. We know there's no way you're going to let them get away with this."

"Where are they now?" Eret asked.

"We saw them going into an inn."

"After that, they head over to shipbuilding island."

"It's Dock one," said Teeny. "They were there yesterday; I bet that's where they're going."

"Is that so," said Eret. "All right, then… Dragon Conqueror Hiccup, when I find you, I'm going to rip you apart."

Meanwhile, at the sea train station near Water 7, the wind was beginning to pick up, in the waves were becoming more rougher.

"Wow," said Chimney. "Granny! Granny! The wind is blowing like crazy!"

Coco made her way outside while Chimney played around with Paws.

"Crazy wind! Crazy wind!" she repeatedly yelled excitedly.

"Enough already, keep it down," said Coco, and she took a swig from her flask. "The southern wind, huh? The waves are getting rough too. If this keeps up, the sea train will be able to run tonight. Chimney… Paws… get ready when going back to the island!"

"Okay!" Chimney nodded.

Coco just stood there facing the wind. "Aqua Laguna is coming."

At Water 7, sirens could be heard throughout the entire city.

"Your attention please!" said a voice on the speakers. "Your attention, please! This is the Water 7 Weather Forecast Centre! As of now, an Aqua Laguna severe weather warning has been issued for the entire island! Its arrival time is estimated to be sometime between midnight and 12:30!"

"Oh yeah, I guess it is about that time."

"I've been preoccupied about what happened to Iceberg."

"Hey, Aqua Laguna is coming! Make sure everyone knows about the warning!"

"All right, no more work for today!"

Ragnar, Fishlegs and Chopper, who was in his animal form, were still looking for Heather when they heard the announcement and were rather confused.

"What did he say?" Chopper frowned.

"Aqua Laguna?" Ragnar blinked.

Fishlegs then turned towards a passerby. "Excuse me, sir. What was that broadcast about just now?"

"What do you mean?" he frowned. "Everybody knows what—Oh, wait, are you visitors here? Sorry, you've come sightseeing at a rather bad time. Aqua Laguna is an annual storm that is about to pass through here."

"A storm, huh?" said Ragnar curiously.

"A big one, you're going to need to evacuate to higher ground. This entire city will be underwater soon."

Fishlegs' eyes widened. "Underwater? It's that powerful?"

"Don't worry, it's not going to happen right the second," he assured him. "According to the forecast, it will arrive sometime around midnight. The locals have gotten used to it, annual, remember? See yeah!"

"Later!" Ragnar waved as he walked off.

"The whole town will be—" Chopper instead of the two of them horrified. "Wait, it's going to sink?"

"That's what he said; if that's the case, we're going to have to fight Heather and quick," said Ragnar.

"But where should we look for her?" Fishlegs asked.

"Good question. Is there anyplace around here she would visit?" Ragnar asked.

"Ancient ruins, maybe?" Chopper suggested.

"Unfortunately, there's nothing like that on this island," said Ragnar. "That said, we don't really know that much about Heather, do we?"

"No, we don't," Fishlegs nodded, rubbing the back of his head. "We should ask more questions about her."

"Too late for that, suppose the only thing we can do is wander around aimlessly and hope that Chopper you can pick up her scent," said Ragnar.

Meanwhile, at Dock 1, there was a huge crowd of people wanting to know more about Iceberg's condition.

"Can't you tell us anything?"

"Hey, Iceberg! What happened here?"

"What's going on?"

Hiccup and Astrid arrived to see the huge crowd of people.

"Can't go that way," said Hiccup. "We're not gonna find out what's going on until we find some way to get to Iceberg."

Astrid stopped by a nearby man on a Squire. "Excuse me, can you tell me where the entrance to the main office is?"

"Yeah, it's at Dock One," he said. "But I don't think you're going to have any luck getting in with everything that happened here their only allowing authorised personnel to get through. You're not alone; everyone wants in. We're also worried about him."

"I see, thank you," said Astrid and they sailed away.

Unbeknownst to them, Eret was looking down at the massive crowd at Dock One of the top of the bridge.

"Look at all those people," he said. "What's all the commotion about? Well, the bigger the audience, the better I always say."

Suddenly everyone heard the sound of drums beating and judging from the look on their faces they recognised it.

"No, don't tell me!"

"It's that rhythm!"

"What? Why now?"

"Hey, guys, question… did you just say my name?" said a voice above them.

"No, we didn't! Just go away!"

"Where is he? Where's it coming from?"

"I don't see him!"

"Wait, he's up there!"

"Oh, no."

"Come on, everybody, there's no need to be shy. Say my name," said Eret as he and the twins were standing behind a curtain.

"We don't want to get lost!"

"You're the one who attacked Iceberg, aren't you?"

"Yeah, he has to be!"

"Just leave, get the hell out of here!"

"You good for nothing, punk!"

"Huh, what a bunch of noisy flies," he said as he tossed the curtain away. "I'm water 7's number one super guy. The face of the underworld, and you know why. I'm the man with a plan, the power and fame and people everywhere call out my name… Eret!"

Eret stood there wearing nothing but a Hawaiian "Aloha" shirt with a large gold chain necklace around his neck and a pair of beach shorts.

Upon seeing him, everyone immediately began running away.

"Come out and show yourself, Dragon!" Eret roared at the top of his voice.
