Chapter 28
WOW! It's been a very long time! I've been really wanted to continue this story but life has happened. Every once in a while I will get a notification that someone has favorited my story and I read it again and wish I would've continued. We will see how this goes and please leave me reviews.
** Seth hung up the phone and went to where Roman and Jon were very impatiently waiting for him.
"Dude, we are starving over here" Roman said to him
"Yeah, I'm starving to" Jon said as well
Seth rolled his eyes "guys, seriously? I stepped away to talk to my fiancé for just a few minutes and you two act like I was gone for hours" he laughed at them being so dramatic
"well, let's go our table is ready" Roman said following the hostess
Jon hung back and said quietly to Seth "is everything ok man? You seem a bit worried"
Seth sighed heavily "Corey seems to be slowly but surely making moves on my fiancé"
This caused Jon to almost lose it " are you kidding me? What the hell is going on over there, what did she say to you? I swear that dude, I knew there was something up with that guy…." He tried to keep going but Seth stopped him
"Hey man, I appreciate how protective you are of her. She just said he would put his arm around and say she has other options and all that. I totally trust her…." Seth said
"but I don't trust Corey" they both said in unison. They laughed and headed to the table before Roman dragged them over to the table.
** Back with Corey and Anndrea**
Anndrea reluctantly opened the door "hey Corey, come on in" she said and he brushed past her and set up all the food, drinks and everything they needed
"how was the call with your fiancé? Is everything ok?" Corey said as he started dishing up his plate
"Everything is good. I just miss him. This is the first time since we've been together we will be away for an extended amount of time. I know he supports me 100%. It's just so hard to be away from him after everything we've been through" Anndrea said as she also started filling her plate with food.
"Yeah, Roman filled me in" he said out of the blue and instantly regretted what he said.
Anndrea wasn't paying a lot of attention. She was texting and then getting everything she needed ready to eat as she heard him saying something "What did you say?" she asked him curiously
"oh nothing, I ran into Roman at the training facility and he just told me you've been through a lot is all" Corey said hoping she didn't' suspect anything odd
"oh ok. Yeah I've been through a lot but we all learn from what we've been through right? Now, the important thing is looking to the future. Maybe instead of watching tv while we eat we look at these scripts so we aren't completely clueless and make Vince and HHH regret signing us" she nervously laughed
"that sounds good, I don't want to mess this opportunity up" Corey said as he was staring at her and not the script
Anndrea always got an odd feeling about Corey. He was a great guy but just something about him was off. She decided she needed to make sure that her focus was strictly on her career and planning a future with her true love Rollins.
Roman and Jon were having some sort of debate about something and Seth was just off thinking about his fiancé. How he wishes he was with her but he knows this is a great opportunity for her. Even though they just got off the phone he decided to text her.
"hey baby" he said
Anndrea heard her phone beep and looked at it and immediately smiled.
"hey there yourself" She replied
"how's it going? Is Corey behaving himself" Seth said hoping he was
"of course he is. You know I would never let anything happen between him and I. You are the love of my life and it will stay that way. Besides, I cant' wait to start planning our wedding" she smiled as she sent the text
This of course caused Seth to smile really big.
"I know babe. I can't wait to start planning our wedding and our future together. Please no pressure on that front right now. I want you to focus on your career and making an amazing impression on the creative team and the head honchos over there" Seth knew she could do this and didn't want her worrying about the wedding planning.
"You always know the right thing to say. I can't wait to plan our future together but right now I should focus on my time in NXT and not messing up. Maybe tomorrow after my 1st official day we can facetime?" she said already knowing the answer
"Do you really have to ask that?" he said laughing
Anndrea laughed to "well…I know…I was just saying"
She got a look from Corey like we need to keep looking over our scripts so please can we. She gave him an equal I know look I will be off in a min.
"I need to get going babe. Corey is giving me a look and we really need to work on our scripts and characters. Just know I love you so much. Say hi to the two clowns for me. I'm sure they are arguing about something" she laughed
Seth looked up and she sure knew Roman and Jon well as they seemed to be in an intense conversation.
"I love you" Seth sent the last text
"I love you to" Anndrea text and put her phone away
"Geez, he cant be away from you for 2 seconds? You were just on the phone and then texting" Corey said sternly and instantly regretted it
"Seriously Corey? What is your problem? It was just a few minutes. Let's go over these scripts and characters" Anndrea said and rolled her eyes at him
"I'm sorry" Corey said to her
"for what?" Anndrea said looking at her script while finishing up eating her dinner
"the way I said that about Seth. I'm just so nervous about making a good impression tomorrow I really don't want to mess it up. I took it out on you, im sorry" Corey said scooting closer to her.
"no worries at all Corey. Let's nail this script and characters. We already have the athletic ability, now we just need to get this script down" Anndrea said not looking up from her script
Corey sighed heavily as he looked at her. She really was a beautiful woman…he thought to himself 'seth is a lucky man. I would love to be with a woman like her'. He snapped out of his thoughts when Anndrea started talking to him
"corey? Earth to corey? Where are you?" She said laughing and waving her hands in front of his face
"sorry, just thinking" Corey said. "Can you repeat that please?" he asked and she continued
"well our characters are going to be separate for a bit but they have us here causally running into one another backstage. I really like how it starts. They have a great creative team. I wonder who I will be working with as my rival" Anndrea said out loud as they continued to look over the scripts.
** meanwhile back with the guys
"Roman, he's the best because he just is ok!" Jon said
Seth was really curious as to what he missed. He grabbed a breadstick and starting eating it while he tried to figure out what in the world these two clowns were arguing about.
"No, No, No Jon. You got it all wrong. My guy is the best" Roman said matter of factly and continued "and your argument that your guy is the best because he just is, that's the worst argument ever" Roman said laughing at him
"Ok you two, what in the world are you two arguing about?" Seth finally said. The curiosity was getting the best of him.
"Roman thinks The Rock is the best wrestler of all time just because it's his cousin" Jon said rolling his eyes
"Jon thinks John Cena is the best wrestler of all time because he likes that they have the same first name" Roman said
Seth started laughing. "you two crack me up, seriously. Never a dull moment with you two" He drank some water and sat back in his seat.
"Well….who do you think is the best wrestler?" Roman and Jon almost said in unison.
"Hmmm, that's a good question. Both of the guys you chose are realy good but they are both too new. You need to go way back and more old school wreslters." Seth told them
"ok, Mr. Smarty pants….who would you pick as the best wrestler of all time" Jon said crossing his arms looking at Seth
"I would have to say the Undertaker. I mean, he has been in the business so long and still gets the loudest pops every time the first note of his music hits. He doesn't even have to reinvent himself and people still love him no matter what" Seth told his best friends which caused both of them to become speechless
"Woah, Woah, Woah wait a min. You two….speechless…wow this is a moment for the history books" Seth said laughing which caused him to get two napkins thrown at him…one from each of the guys.
The waiter came and took their orders.
"Were you texting your fiancé?" Jon said as he sort of sung the word fiancé.
"yes I was" Seth said as a matter of factly
"how is she settling in?" Roman asked curiously
"she's doing good" Seth said rather quietly
"ok, spill it. What's going on?" Roman said looking at him curiously
"oh, it's nothing. I just miss her and before both of you say anything, I know she only left this morning but we've never been away from each other since we've been together. After everything that has gone on, I don't want ot be away from her. I told her to focus on her career right now" Seth said as he drank from his glass of water
"wait. You two didn't break up did you? What about the wedding? " Jon asked concerned
"oh no. Of course we didn't break up. We are still going to plan our wedding. What I meant when I told her that was, no pressure right now to start planning. I want her focus right now to be on NXT and making a good first impression. That's all" Seth said more confidently
"Ow. Ambrose what the hell was that for?" Seth said as he got a swift punch in the arm from Jon
"That was for scaring us into thinking you two broke up" Jon said shaking his head at his friend
"We know you two are solid. I know it probably sucks being away from each other. She's an amazing woman. Trust her while she's there. I know love her very much but give her a little space while she's' there. Don't be texting or calling all the time. So she can focus, like you said. Does that make sense?" Roman said to Seth
"yeah, that does make sense. The last thing she needs is to be distracted while she's working and starting her wrestling career. Thanks guys" Seth said
Roman looked at Seth and Jon and extended his arm into a fist that ended right at the middle of the table. Jon and Seth looked at Roman and they all did the same.
Anndrea excused herself to the bathroom and sent a text to someone.
"Can you call me later tonight? I really need to talk to you" -?
The recipient looked at his phone and was really curious as to what this was about.
"of course. Just text me when you are free later" -?
"thanks" Anndrea replied to him
Who was Anndrea texting and what did she need to talk to him about. Seth telling Anndrea to focus on her career and her being away at NXT could put a strain on their relationship. Can they survive this?
