Chapter 28 Light in the Darkness
Eraqus's POV
I slowly opened my eyes...and found myself floating through the darkness.
"No", I said as I started frantically looking around. "No. It can't end like this! Please don't let it end like this! Please don't let it end like it did for my grandfather! Please!"
With that, I began desperately looking around for something. A light that could lead me out of this darkness.
I didn't see it, but...I heard it.
I heard...Xehanort.
"Xehanort", I asked myself in shock. "Xehanort! Where are you?! Please answer me!"
With that, I once again looked around frantically.
And then...I saw it...I saw Xehanort.
But he wasn't alone.
Xehanort's POV
I slowly opened my eyes...and found myself in a seemingly endless room with a floor made out of water.
Using the palms of my hands, I pushed myself onto my knees before looking around.
"What is this place", I asked myself.
Then, I down into the water...and saw my reflection.
It looked normal at first, but then...something happened.
My reflection's eyes...turned yellow. The same colour my friends told me they had turned to when I used the power of darkness against the Darkside.
"No", I breathed out in dismay. "No, it can't be."
After I said this, I had to jump back...as my reflection's hand lunged out at me!
I could only stare in horror as my reflection rose from the water, becoming it's own person.
"What are you", I asked in fear.
"I'm you", my reflection replied in a voice exactly like mine, only...it was much more dark and cold. "I'm the person who fell to darkness. I'm the person who's being drawn to the darkness got their friend killed. The friend that they promised they would keep safe!"
"No", I denied. "It's not true!"
My reflection did not like this, as he grabbed onto my shirt and hoisted me into the air!
"Stop lying", he commanded. "You know that it's true! Admit it! You killed Urd!"
I couldn't lie. Not to my reflection...or to myself. Because I knew deep down that it is true.
"I killed Urd."
After I said this, my reflection threw me down to the floor.
Then, he summoned his Keyblade...and was about to stab me with it...when this happened.
"Get away from him!"
As soon as I heard that voice, I recognised who it belonged to.
"That voice", I said in shock. "It can't be. That voice belongs to..."
Before I could finish my sentence...I was proven to be correct about who the voice belonged to when they landed in front of me and blocked my reflection's attack, and that person was...
"Eraqus."
