"Newlyweds?" Bucky and I had just pulled back from our kiss, the question came from the male half of an elderly couple seated in the row across the aisle from us.

I bit my lip as I looked around Bucky's shoulder, his smile was almost blinding. "No, we're uh, not quite to that point yet." He answered, linking our fingers and kissing my knuckles.

"Not yet," the wife repeated sharing a knowing smile with her husband, who had taken her hand in his. Their fingers sliding together as easily as mine and Bucky's had. "Only a matter of time, I think."

"Don't embarrass them, Dot," her husband admonished without a hint of heat, his eyes seemed to sparkle when he glanced her way. "Let them enjoy the chase for a while longer," he was teasing her, and I wondered how long they'd been together.

"Like we don't still enjoy it," she shook her head, a small smile, private and intimate, ghosting her lips. "It doesn't go away," Dot wasn't speaking to her husband, she was letting me in on the secret. "Not if it was there from the beginning."

Bucky's fingers were warm on mine and I wondered if she was right? Would it always feel like it felt right now?

"Dot?" It just hit me, Delores - the bear and Coney Island. "That's a really sweet nickname."

"Isn't it?" Her husband smiled. "I gave it to her when she showed up for our first date wearing a dress covered in polka dots." He shook his head at the memory. "Everyone thinks her name is Delores or Dorothy, but it's Mildred." He chuckled. "She's MY Dot."

I smiled and Bucky buried his face in my neck, chuckling. "You didn't honestly think," he murmured, just loud enough for me to hear. His lips met my pulse. "I told you, Dot's my past, Brooke. And I thought you didn't share." My eyes were fighting to stay open. "I really want you -" I wasn't sure I was breathing, and I wasn't sure if Dot and her husband were paying attention to Bucky and me anymore.

Swallowing hard, I cleared my throat. "If you'll excuse me," Bucky pulled away, sitting back while I stood up and made my way to the bathroom with the less direct line of sight for witnesses. I REALLY hoped he picked up on my completely nonverbal and totally internal idea, because dear God, I wanted him too.

Taking a deep breath, I entered the tiny 'room' and waited. I was moments away from giving up when I heard the softest of knocks followed by his voice whispering my name.

Opening the door, he slipped inside and then his arms were around me and our lips met and I didn't care about joining a club, all I wanted to join was him. I made sure the "occupied" lock was set, and Bucky made sure he kept my mouth occupied so I was kept marginally quiet, and we made the most out of at least part of our flight.

I went back to our seats first, Dot and her husband were smiling knowingly as I buckled back in and they couldn't hold back chuckles when Bucky rejoined me, but that probably had to do with the fact that I bit him, and neither of us noticed.

"What?" Bucky, looking like a confused labrador with his brow furrowed turned to me, and my eyes went wide as I took in the very obvious teeth mark right below his jaw. I cringed and turned his face toward me. "Brooke?"

"I bit you," I bit my lip and pulled my purse onto my lap and prayed that I had some concealer in the vast depths and reaches. "I guess that's a pitfall of keeping me quiet, Buck." I found a tube, but another downfall was the fact that he was more tanned than I was, guess I should probably get out in the sunlight more. I worked to make my vampire tendencies less noticeable, and he sat patiently while I worked. "I'm sorry I nibbled on you," I murmured, and he snorted.

"I'm not," I glanced up to see him looking down at me. "I'd do it again in a heartbeat, Brooke." I shook my head. "You are -" he bit his lip and sighed. "Everything I never knew I wanted." I didn't know what to say to that. I mean, what could you say to that?

"I love you," I finished covering my brand on his flesh and stared into his eyes. "Just you, Bucky Barnes."

I heard Dot murmuring to her husband as Bucky leaned forward to kiss me, "just a matter of time."
