Chapter 27: Fury of the Righteous

Celestia and Luna each fired a blast at the fleeing remnants of the Drukhari fleet for good measure. Only 4 vehicles remained, the rest lay burning on the scarred plains outside of Ponyville.

"That's the last of them. Come sister, Aries will surely need us." Luna said to Celestia as she prepared to take flight...only to pause as an unearthly roar emanated from the Everfree Forest.

Moments Prior

Queen Chrysalis scowled in disgust that Starlight Glimmer was holding her own against the Dark Eldar. She would never admit it, but she had started to develop a begrudging respect for the Unicorn since this conflict began.

Chrysalis was torn from her thoughts by a dreadfully familiar sound, the sound of several small blades grinding against each other as a bladed whip unfurled.

Chrysalis turned and blasted the Razorflail with her lightning. Glaring vengefully at Belatrixx.

Chrysalis recognized the Wych's top as the Cozy Glow's flanks. While she never liked the villainous filly, she found herself feeling a tad upset to know she suffered such a cruel fate.

Belatrixx recognized the look in her eyes. "Oh, did you know this creature?"

Chrysalis narrowed her good eye. She remembered well how their last fight went, and had been planning her revenge ever since.

Belatrixx's smile disappeared when green flames enveloped the Changeling and faded to reveal the Wych staring at herself. "Allow me to show you the true reason I am the Queen of all Changelings."

Belatrixx lunged. Completely shocked to find the imposter matching her blow for blow. Impossible! It took me years to perfect the Razorflail! She only saw me use it once!

The Wyches danced with their Razorflails between them. The deadly blades ringing out as they clashed, rebounded, and clashed again. It reminded Belatrixx of her mother.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! Now do you understand? There isn't a single Changeling alive who can mimic movements better than I can. Even when my personality shines through a creature that's too different for me to stomach impersonating, I'm able to fool all but their closest friends by mimicking their body language perfectly." Chrysalis explained as she continued her dance.

Belatrixx wasn't having fun anymore. This was outrageous! This wretched creature needed to be taught a lesson.

Belatrixx went for the kill. For all of Chrysalis' perfection at mimicking Belatrixx's playful attacks, she hadn't seen the Wych fight all out. She moved faster, hit harder, and aimed at more vital areas. Chrysalis managed all of three deflections before she had to transform into a hummingbird to avoid a fatal blow.

Belatrixx's smile returned as she cemented her superiority over the Mon'Keigh. She twirled her Razorflail in an attempt to catch the tiny target, and unlike Chrysalis had in their first fight, Belatrixx was well aware that the Changeling was flying towards her as she dodged, prompting the Wych to backstep as she kept up the barrage.

Unfortunately, Belatrixx realized too late that Chrysalis was directing her into a trap. She heard the familiar sound of a Changeling's transformation behind her just in time to leap to the side.

A large sword crashed down where she had been standing a second prior, and Belatrixx followed the blade to a black Bloodthirster that transformed into a dark male Changeling.

Chrysalis returned to her true form and stood beside the newcomer. "Wonderful of you to join us Pharynx. Where did you find that new form?"

Pharynx regarded Chrysalis with an annoyed scowl. In the past, he would've followed her to the end, and he still saw the wisdom in her philosophy. But she had abandoned the Hive without a fight. She was selfish and uncaring of her subjects. The more he thought about it, the more Pharynx considered that if she had remained in charge and conquered Equestria...he probably would've usurped her himself.

"Hmph, Thorax and our other warriors are helping where they can...you looked like you weren't doing too well by yourself." Pharynx jabbed.

Chrysalis shot a glare at the other Changeling, but quickly returned her attention to Belatrixx.

The Wych's scowl slowly returned to her slasher's grin as three more Wyches joined her. The two opposing sides charged as an unearthly roar echoed from the Everfree Forest.

Elsewhere

Fluttershy thought she had seen the worst of the Dark Eldar in how they carelessly discarded the lives of other and caused pain purely to cause pain, but she had not seen what they can do when they have time to focus on a single victim...until now.

The abomination that had once been Tirek roared in agony as it slithered from the Everfree Forest. His equine lower body had cut in half with the back half being replaced by the tail of a Hydra. A Chimera's and Manticore's paws had been sutured onto his body under his arms, and their muscles had been unnaturally swollen to the point of separating the fur to look like hairy human limbs and even breaking the skin in places.

The tails of the same beasts(or at least different members of the same species) protruded from his back and over his shoulders. The snake hissing and snapping wildly and the scorpion stinger dripping a purple poison that definitely wasn't natural to Manticores.

Tirek's back was covered in various vials that constantly injected alien fluids into his body, driving him to madness while also ensuring his obedience to his new master.

Between his front legs, Fluttershy made out the haunting sight of Cozy Glow. Her hind quarters had been removed and the rest of her body had been surgically attached to Tirek. All of the Pegasus' hide had been cut from her flesh. Her wings had been snapped and left hanging by strands of meat. Her eyes hanged from their sockets, and her digestive system had been replaced by machinery that forced her vital organs to keep functioning against their will.

Many of the animals Fluttershy and Greenskin had set free fled from the terrifying sight, but some still stayed at Fluttershy's side ready to fight...but Fluttershy didn't register this.

"Wut'z da plan boss?..Boss?..BOSS!?" Greenskin tried to Fluttershy's attention, but she was focused on something else.

Praxis road on the shoulders of his creation, his Wraks adding their blades to the butchery. Cutting down fleeing or fighting Equestrians and the Everfree beasts that still under their influence.

Praxis enjoyed the spectacle, drinking in the suffering he had caused to so many as an afterthought while he focused on Tirek.

Fluttershy stared at him, her lips rising into a snarl and her head lowering, causing her mane to cast a shadow over her eyes.

Greenskin observed this, and oddly enough, the shadow that fell over Fluttershy's eyes didn't look dark to him. But rather an earthly green.

"...You...MMOOONSTEEEEEERRRR!!!!" Fluttershy shot towards the haemonculus like a bolt round fired by the Emperor Himself, breaking the sound barrier for the first time in her life.

Tirek's snake snapped at Fluttershy on instinct, but otherwise, nocreature had a chance to react before Fluttershy slammed into Praxis and the two of them crashed back into the Everfree Forest.

Tirek didn't register this, neither did the Wraks, it had all happened too fast. Thus the abominations continued to stalk towards Ponyville, killing all in their path.

Greenskin and the free animals found themselves leaderless, but those who hadn't fled already were unwilling to back down. Especially Greenskin.

The Ork stared into the unfocused eyes of the Centaur. You'ze da unOrkiest git I've evah met, and I planned on killin' ya...but not loike dis.

Greenskin knew the horrors of the Drukhari more than any creature alive, for he had died at their hands when they had squeezed the very last drop of his being out of him. He didn't even remember when it ended, or how. For all he knew, he could've been made into a Wrak himself and was killed fighting battles for the very creatures he feared and hated more than any other being in the galaxy. He wouldn't wish that pain on anyone...even if they were a piece of rotten squig meat.

"Alroight Boyz, Fluddashoy'z takin' it to dere Boss, which means it'z our job tah take it to dem. Let'z show'em our teef!WAAAGH!!" Greenskin charged the hulking horrors, a horde of Manticores, Bugbears, and Chimeras right behind him. The beasts of the Everfree were larger than any Wrak, but Tirek towered over all of them...at least it'd be a good fight.

Elsewhere

Fluttershy and Praxis crashed through branch after branch with no sign of slowing down.

After hitting a clear spot for half of a second, the haemonculus was able to strike back with a syringe of poison.

Fluttershy felt the needle pierce her spine just as she slammed the Drukhari into a tree. While the pain was immense, she was able to break away before Praxis could recover and inject the needles contents.

Praxis righted himself and displayed his 6 arms. The natural two were the only ones with hands. Two ended in syringes, one in a scalpel, and the last one in a Splinter Pistol. "I learned a great deal from the adolescent I dissected, but I look forward to seeing the contrast of a more developed specimen."

Any other time in her life, that sentence would've terrified Fluttershy to the core of her being. But right now, she could only think of the all the innocent creatures, sentient or not, who suffered because of this monster, and how many more would suffer if she let him escape.

This thing couldn't be reasoned with, and it couldn't be taught the error of its ways. It had to be...destroyed!

Fluttershy flew straight at him and then turned sharply when he aimed his pistol at her. Shurikens tore through the bush behind where Fluttershy had been as she slammed into his head before he could turn.

His scalpel arm struck out, slicing open an artery in one of her hind legs and forcing her to retreat above the trees.

She surveyed the damage, she would have to bind the injury quickly or she could lose a fatal amount of blood. But she had to finish the Dark Eldar first.

She had the speed advantage, but if she got close enough to hit him, his reaction time ensured that they would both be struck, and his attacks were more lethal.

As Fluttershy pondered this, shurikens tore through the trees as the haemonculus fired blindly. That's it, I need to hit him from a distance.

Fluttershy dived back under the trees, breaking off branches and vines as she went.

"What's this? You drag me all the way out here for a fight and now you cower before me!? YOU SHOULD'VE THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE YOU WASTED MY TIME!!!" More shots rang out, shuriken punching through solid oak trunks as though they were rotten or hollow.

Fluttershy ignored this, continuing to gather supplies. She dove to the ground, scooping up as many triangular pieces of rock as she could. She didn't have time to sharpen them, but she could put enough speed behind them, it wouldn't matter.

"Well, are we done playing games?" Praxis called out. He didn't shooting at the darting form behind the trees anymore, it was clear to him that he couldn't hit her.

"Hmph, very well. Remember your place next time, whelp." The haemonculus snapped as walked backwards towards the village, keeping his eyes on his cowed foe as he went.

Suddenly, something shot out of the forest and nearly struck him. He caught the offending object in his hand and found that it was a crude spear.

Praxis didn't have time to process this before another spear struck him in the thigh.

The blunt tip bounced off with far too little pain to warrant a Drukhari's attention, but Fluttershy erupted from the bush from the same spot she had thrown the second spear and drove a third into Praxis' eye.

His attached arms lashed out, but the Mon'Keigh cleared his attack range before he could strike her back.

Praxis removed the spear from his eye, more annoyed than anything. I liked the color of that one.

The rustling of tree leaves above him caused the Drukhari to look up in time to jump out of the way of a large rock the cleaver beast had dropped on him from above.

Unfortunately, he made the mistake of exposing his back. Fluttershy dropped dropped from the sky like a lightning bolt with two spears in her hooves and drove them both into the Drukhari's back, breaking the shafts...and stabbing the broken ends into him as well.

From her position on his back, and with four staves stabbing into him, Praxis couldn't reach behind him but with one arm, an arm that Fluttershy had stomped on.

She then brought up her other front hoof and stomped on the haemonculus' head repeatedly. Praxis flailed his arms out desperately, trying in vain to reach his opponent with one of his deadly weapons.

One of his arms with a syringe came close enough to Fluttershy that she bit into his wrist and arrested the assaulting appendage. She then quickly brought up the hoof that arrested the arm that could reach her and stomped on the arm. Driving the syringe into the Drukhari's back.

By a stroke of luck, the syringe pierced Praxis' spine and unloaded its deadly concoction, the very one he had tried to inflict on Fluttershy at the beginning of the fight. A dreadful poison that caused his bones to rapidly grow spiky protrusions all across his skeleton.

Fluttershy leapt off him as one of these spikes stabbed the soft inside of her back right hoof, and turned to watch as he, as immune to pain as any haemonculus, tried to aim his Splinter Pistol at her one last time before he was frozen in place as his joints became locked up by excess bone.

Fluttershy panted, exhausted, and looked down to her bleeding leg. She had tied it off with a vine when she had been building her spears, but she had still lost a lot of blood.

She wasn't feeling cold yet, so that was a good sign. But she knew that she wouldn't be able to help anypony else back at Ponyville, nor could she stand to trouble the doctors knowing how much they had neededherhelp before the fighting even reached the town.

Her mission completed and her rage spent, Fluttershy laid down in front of the haemonculus petrified by his own cruelty and slowed her relaxed in order to slow her heartrate. Her part to play had ended.

Author's Note:

Oh, I've been waiting to write this chapter for a while. Hell, I wrote the whole thing in a freaking day. THAT'S how well I envisioned it in my head before I even started writing.

The version of Fluttershy from the Changeling timeline cemented Fluttershy as my favorite Mane 6.

Anyone's whose seen my username(and knows the source material) knows I'm a fan Elfen Lied. And Changeling-Hunter Fluttershy reminded me of Lucy, which in turn convinced me that if her fate had been kinder, Lucy would've been exactly like Fluttershy(she even pitied that little shit stain Tomoo before he pushed her over the edge)

Anyone who follows my YouTube channel, keep an eye out for a new video about this fight.

Next chapter will be Greenskin vs Tirek and, possibly, the conclusion of Chrysalis vs Belatrixx and Aries vs Fune.

That's all I got for this one, see you all next time.
