Xxx With Naruto xxX
Before Naruto could reach the kages, he was stopped by a sudden gust of wind. Following the source of the attack, Naruto spotted 2 men running towards him.
Both were dressed in standard Kumogakure uniforms, one had golden hair while the other had silver. As they came closer, Naruto was able to discern that they were twins due to their identical appearance, they also seemed to have whisker marks on their cheeks similar to him when he was the jinchuriki of nine-tails
'Kinkaku and Ginkaku!' Naruto realized as he sensed some of the nine-tails chakra leaking from them, 'I never met them in my previous life but I had heard Darui and his team had managed to defeat them'.
The two stopped a few meters away from Naruto.
"Stay back, I'll deal with them" Naruto spoke as he saw the Kazekage move to battle them.
The golden-haired brother, Kinkaku, had a glowing rope wrapped around his left arm while his right hand held a big red fan.
The silver-haired brother, Ginkaku, held a light blue broad sword with a brown talisman hanging from the handle in his right hand and clutched a brown-coloured gourd wrapped in a red cloth in his left arm.
"The infamous Gold and silver brothers" Naruto started, "Traitors of Kumo, said to have attempted a coup d'etat against the second raikage during a peace summit, killing him and severely wounding the second Hokage, quite an impressive resume".
"Good to know we haven't been forgotten after all these years" Ginakaku replied.
"And we didn't just critically wound the second Hokage, we killed him too!" Kinkaku continued.
"Weren't the two of you caught and imprisoned for your crimes?" Naruto asked as he subtly weaved hand seals.
"Yes, we were" Ginkaku answered.
"But we were granted a pardon on the condition that we kill you" Kinkaku continued.
"Charming" Naruto replied sarcastically as he unleashed a massive wind sphere in their direction.
"Fuuton: Shinkuu Gyoku (Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere)"
Kinkaku stepped forward and swung the red fan.
"Bashōsen: Coil of Fire"
A large wave of fire erupted from the fan, destroying the wind attack and continuing forward towards Naruto.
Naruto quickly completed the required hand seals and spat out a huge stream of water.
"Suiton: Mizurappa (Water Release: Violent Water Wave)"
The water jutsu was able to cancel out the fire just in time.
"So, you do possess the famed Rikudō Sennin no Hōgu (Treasured Tools of the Sage of Six Paths)".
"Oh!, you know of them" Ginakuku started "That is quite impressive".
"Of course I know of them" Naruto replied as he activated his Sharingan and rushed forward while unsheathing Mugetsu.
Kinkaku dashed ahead to face him while Ginkaku followed close after him.
Naruto used his sword to slash at Kinkaku, who blocked it using the golden rope wrapped around his arm, with his other arm he swung the red fan.
"Bashōsen: Coil of Lightning"
This time, instead of fire, a huge wave of lightning blasted out from the fan and engulfed Naruto.
The lightning was quickly dispersed when Naruto activated the Susanoo.
Before he could swing the fan again, Naruto's black-red Susanoo punched Kinkaku in the distance then picked up Ginkaku, who was trying to slash at the Susanoo and threw him away as well.
He deactivated his Susanoo after a few seconds as he sensed Kushina and Minato shunshin near him.
"Did you take care of the jinchurikis?" Naruto asked as he approached the two "I sensed you sync with the Nine-tail, good job on that by the way" he praised.
"Yes, I did" Kushina answered "The four-tailed jinchuriki, Roshi, didn't make it. I was able to seal the others"
Naruto sensed some sadness in her but decided now was not time to discuss it.
"Minato?"
"I faced the explosion corps of Iwa" Minato answered.
Naruto nodded, understanding the underlying meaning that Minato killed them all.
"I was about to attack Jijin and Fubuki when I sensed your chakra spike so I came here instead, they probably went back to their kage" Minato continued.
Naruto nodded as he knelt and pressed a finger in the ground.
"Sakumo is facing the Raikage, he'll be able to handle himself, so no need to worry about him. The gold and silver brothers are making their way over here," he paused "Minato take The Kazekage and deal with them".
"Are you sure I should go?" the Kazekage asked, surprised to be included.
"Yes," Naruto replied, "They possess Rikudō Sennin no Hōgu (The Treasured Tools of the Sage of Six Paths), it would be tricky for Minato to defeat them alone."
Naruto activated his Sharingan and looked Minato in the eyes.
After a few seconds passed Naruto deactivated them and continued, "I have given Minato the information regarding the tools, he will fill you in."
Minato nodded and motioned the Kazekage to follow him.
"Will you be alright?" Naruto inquired after Minato and the Kazekage left.
"I'm fine" Kushina replied "I can handle-".
Naruto suddenly kissed her mid-sentence, making her relax in his embrace.
The kiss lasted for few seconds but it did its job of brightening Kushina's mood.
"Let's go" Naruto retorted "I have a war to win".
As Naruto approached the kages, he was met with the swordsmen of the mist again, only this time instead of seven only two were present, Jijin and Fubuki, they stood beside their leader, the Mizukage, with a bloodthirsty grin. The death of their teammates seemed to have no effect on them.
Onoki, the Third Tsuchikage, stood beside a tall and brawny shinobi. He had dark eyes and short dark-grey-coloured hair as well as a beard and a bulbous nose. He wore the standard Iwagakure shinobi uniform. His name was Katsuchi, he was the son of the Tsuchikage and his second in command.
Stopping a few meters away from them, Naruto started, "Finally decided to show yourself, I thought you ran away with tail between your legs after we slaughtered your army." he taunted.
Onoki became red with anger, he was about to reply when Kitsuchi put a hand on his shoulder to stop him.
The Mizukage suddenly stepped forward and started "Yondaime Hokage, Naruto Uchiha Uzumaki, I humbly request you to leave Kirigakure out of the aftermath of this war. I won't give any excuses since it was my own greed that led me here. In exchange for leniency for my village, I am ready to lay down my life".
Naruto was about to respond when Fubuki abruptly dashed towards him, "Screw this!" he yelled and swung samehada.
He never reached him as Kushina suddenly glowed yellow and kicked him away, she lost her golden chakra where her leg touched samehada but she didn't bat an eye as the cloak quickly recovered.
There was a loud rumbling as giant golems rose from the ground.
"Doton: Gōremu no Jutsu (Earth Release: Golem Technique)" Kitsuchi yelled.
The golems surrounded them and started attacking them with their fists.
"Get down!" Kushina yelled as she got in a ready stance.
Following her order, Naruto lowered himself to the ground.
Kushina morphed her cloak to create a large sword and swung it in a circular arc. The sword destroyed all of the golems, crumbling them back to stones.
Suddenly, a white light caught Naruto's attention, he quickly got up and lifted Kushina off the ground, and leapt away.
The second he jumped away, a transparent cube with a sphere of chakra in its centre expanded and disintegrated everything it touched.
"Jinton: Genkai Hakuri no Jutsu, Rippou (Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique, Cubical Variant )"
"Phew!" Naruto exhaled as he let Kushina down "That was close!".
"You are still not in the clear!" Jijin retorted as he materialized behind them and swung his axe.
Naruto quickly raised his katana and blocked the attack aimed at his neck.
Jijin then proceeded to swing the hammer on the axe to break through Naruto's defence.
He didn't succeed as Kushina morphed her cloak to resemble a hand and caught the hammer mid-swing. Using her other chakra arm, she created an enormous Rasengan and smashed it into his chest.
"Chō ōdama Rasengan (Massive Rasengan)"
The Rasengan was so enormous that it eclipsed his entire body. When Kushina stopped the attack, Jijin body was a bleeding and broken mess, without immediate medical attention he wouldn't survive.
"That ... was interesting" Naruto praised, impressed with Kushina progress.
By now, Fubuki had returned to his position near his Kage, he had lost his bloodthirsty grin.
"Ok!" Naruto exclaimed as he stretched his neck "Playtime is over, I won't be holding back now."
"You were holding back this entire time?" Fubuki asked as he slowly merged with samehada.
"Of course" Naruto replied "Had I fought with my full power from the beginning, your entire army of 8000 would have been slaughtered within few minutes." He boasted, "I chose not to because I still value human life and now that the ones who still live know the horrors of war, they will think twice before instigating war."
There was a loud crash as he finished his small speech, out of the debris came the gold and silver brothers, covered in version 2 tailed beast cloak with six tails swishing behind them.
Following them, Minato and the Kazekage appeared beside Naruto.
"They rushed here as soon as they sensed Kushina's nine tail chakra" Minato explained.
"It's ok, I was done here anyways" Naruto waved off, he then faced Kushina and continued, "Kushina, stop using nine tail's chakra, I can sense it slowly overwhelming you since you have yet to master it."
Kushina was about to reply that it wasn't overwhelming her and she could continue using it for a while longer but Kurama's voice made her stop.
'He is right, you have already crossed the time limit I gave you. It's only because I am consciously holding back my chakra's hatred that you haven't been completely overwhelmed yet.'
After hearing Kurama's explanation, Kushina ended her transformation and nodded towards Naruto.
"Now then, let's get started!"
Xxx Few Minutes before with Minato and the Kazekage xxX
"Don't let the golden rope touch you" Minato informed as he flashed away from the brothers, appearing at a safe distance from them.
The Kazekage nodded and manipulated his iron sand to form a sort of shield around him, he then took to the sky using his Kekkai Genkai.
"Distance won't keep you safe!" Kinkaku exclaimed as he swung his fan.
"Bashōsen: Coil of Fire"
The fan released an enormous stream of fire aimed at the Kazekage, who quickly cocooned himself with his iron sand.
As the fire died down, he morphed his iron sand to keep the brothers in his sight.
But, he could only see Ginkaku smirking at him, Kinkaku was nowhere in sight.
That was when he heard.
"Bind and Draw Out!"
He quickly turned back, only to see Kinkaku's rope covered fist a few inches away from his face.
"Rasengan!"
Minato suddenly flashed below Kinkaku's outstretched arm and smashed a Rasengan in his chest.
The Rasengan drilled into Kinkaku and launched him away from the Kazekage and towards Ginkaku, who immediately caught him.
"You used me as a bait" The Kazekage retorted.
"It was the only way to get close to him" Minato replied "But, now that I have marked him with my Hiraishin, I can fight him more easily".
The Kazekage nodded, finding his logic sound.
"I thought only The Yondaime and his wives could use the Rasengan" The Kazekage spoke as they both landed on the ground.
"I figured out how to create the technique" Minato replied as he got ready to fight the brothers, "Mine however is weaker than their's and needs more time to form".
The Kazekage nodded and morphed his iron in the shape of multiple shurikens.
"So, The Kokinjo (Golden Canopy Rope) draws out our word soul, whatever that is, and that strange sword, Shichiseiken(Seven Star Sword), severs it?".
Minato nodded "Yes, The Kokinjo draws out their word soul, it is the word spoken most during a person's life, and The Shichiseiken severs it. It is then stored in that brown gourd, Benihisago(Crimson Gourd). If the person affected says that word or any other word resembling their word soul then they get sucked and trapped into that gourd" Minato finished, pointing towards the gourd, "I guess you have already figured out what The Bashosen (Banana Palm Fan) does".
The Kazekage nodded, "It is capable of generating the basic five elemental chakras without the need of hand seals"
"You are well informed" Kinkaku interrupted.
"There aren't a lot of people who know this much about the sacred treasures of the sage." Ginkaku continued.
"I guess I lucked out by having Naruto on our side" Minato replied as he suddenly disappeared and appeared behind them.
He was about to thrust his Kunai into Ginkaku's nape but stopped when he sensed several shurikens thrown at his position.
Minato flashed back to The Kazekage with an angry expression, "What the hell are you doing" he asked as he pointed his kunai at him.
The Kazekage disarmingly raised his hand and pointed towards the brothers.
They had managed to redirect all of the shurikens away from them but some of the shurikens had burrowed themselves in the ground near them, revealing an intrinsic maze of golden ropes forming a sort of net under their feet.
"Well, looks like our plan failed" Kinkaku retorted.
"We have lost our element of surprise" Ginkaku continued, "It seems they have somehow discovered the working of our sacred treasures and know how to avoid it" he finished as he sealed away the gourd and the strange sword. Ginkaku then passed the red fan to his brother and tightened the rope around his arm.
"Looks like we will have to do this the old fashioned way!" Kinkaku finished with a smirk.
"Bashōsen: Coil of Water"
A huge wave of water blasted out of the fan covering a large area.
"Satetsu no Kabe (Iron sand wall)"
The Kazekage slammed his hand on the ground and manipulated his iron sand to create a wall in front of them.
Minato leapt above the wall and launched his attack.
"Shinkuu Gyoku (Vacuum Sphere)"
He launched an enormous sphere of wind at them which was countered by Ginkaku.
"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique)"
He released an enormous sphere of fire which clashed with the wind sphere, ultimately cancelling it out.
"Bashōsen: Coil of Lightning"
Kinkaku launched a stream of lightning from his fan which crashed into the iron wall, dismantling it.
Minato and The Kazekage both jumped back to gain some distance as the lightning advanced towards them.
"Shit" Kazekage cursed, "The water acted as a conductor for the lightning and disturbed my control over the iron sand."
"Can you salvage it?" Minato asked as he prepared himself.
"I'll need some time"
Minato nodded and rushed forward "Be quick, I hold them off"
As he fought, Minato discovered that he was faster than them but he couldn't capitalise on it because the two had perfect teamwork and used the sacred tools with such precision that any wrong move could be deadly for him.
Flashing away from yet another stream of fire, Minato appeared beside The Kazekage.
"Are you done?" He questioned.
"Almost" The Kazekage replied, "Have you found any weaknesses?".
Minato shook his head, "They have excellent teamwork, each covers the other's blind spot so surprise attacks are ineffective. Although I am faster than them, their sacred tools put me at a disadvantage. Ginkaku has wrapped his entire body with the golden rope, so mele combat is out of the question, any ranged attack I use just gets overpowered or deflected by Kinkaku's red fan."
"So, how should we proceed?"
"We separate them, take away their advantage".
The Kazekage nodded, "I have a plan".
