Warped Commander Chapter 28
Azure Sky Naval Base: Center Square
June 30th: 1400
Third Person: Omni
"If I were to describe her in my eyes, Adorable is the only thing that you could reasonably get out of me considering just how she releases herself from her weights whenever she is around me," Ben said with a grin while his Kaga patting turning into something absent-minded, something that happened far too many times to count reasonably.
"And what about you?" Nagato asked Kaga, she would have a far more normal perspective compared to Ben… especially if the other Nagato was acting as the leader since even if they were so different, there were still constants between them.
"Whenever he is not around, she is extremely… serious," Kaga said with a bit of trouble, the pleasure of having her ears scratched and her head patted was something that she would never get used to… though she would only ever let Ben near her like this.
"Though after interacting and marrying him, she started to become far more open with everyone, not the cold leader of the sakura empire…" She trailed off as she pressed her head more into Ben's gloved hands. Nagato looked at this sight and remembered all of his actions, she could definitely see why her alternate would change like that when interacting with him.
"To be honest… you two are quite different in personality…" Ben said as he slowly stopped his attack on Kaga's dignity. She was quick to notice his intentions and quickly started to restrain herself once more, it was far more embarrassing here when compared to the other universe.
Cough "Sorry about that display… But Nagato was originally tricked into doing something by my sister… Akagi… Though not the Akagi that you will meet in the future, just like how Ben's Nagato is different than the one who was sealed within the tree." Kaga said while using her hand to comb her hair back into the proper position.
"Right…" Nagato said while looking at the pair… she could not help but be a little jealous of both of them for two wholly different reasons. Though it was quickly buried by thoughts about her other-self. She was reminded that she didn't even know what she looked like.
"Do you perhaps have any photos of her?" Nagato said, she remembered him mentioning that he had his phone from his original universe. Ben nodded his head before receiving the phone from his pocket, currently, it was a photo of Enterprise in a maid dress.
"Right one second… I should have a photo of her and Mutsu having a picnic…" He said while scrolling through the photos, there were a fair few, with none of them needing to be deleted, he somehow created a device with a huge amount of space somehow.
"Right here," Ben said while showcasing the photo of one of his wives. A young girl with fox ears inside of a shrine maiden's outfit was sipping some tea while the cherry blossoms were in bloom. In the background was another young-looking girl running around with a genuine smile on her face.
"This one is Nagato." He pointed to the girl drinking some tea. Her long hair softly blowing in the wind as she had her gentile smile directed at the person taking the picture. Both of the girls in the photo were without their riggings.
"I… see…" Nagato had to restrain herself a little at the cute sight of her other self and her alternative sister playing having a picnic. She could indeed see why Ben could say that she is adorable without any reservations.
"She tried being serious with me for a majority of the time, though how she spoke when she was embarrassed was quite the thing…" Ben said before putting the phone back into his pocket. Ben had a smile on his face as he reminisced what to him was some time last year.
"On another note, I will be wandering around for a bit more before I get back to work… It gets stuffy after a while…" Ben said while walking away from the thoughtful battle ship and the understanding carrier. He just waved his hand behind him as he walked foreward.

Azure Sky Naval Base: Dorms
June 30th: 1430
"Hopefully… I will be able to help all of you out… No, I will help you out." Ben remarked while looking up at the building. He was currently in the courtyard on the cobbled path. His sight was focused on all the populated rooms. He knew that once the other girls got here, they would start recreating their own dorms once more.
"Honestly, you always go beyond your current reach whenever you interact with us." Stepping out from the foliage was Sheffield in a black cloak. Her long leather high healed boots clacked against the pavement as her lone golden eye directed at him.
"Well, it certainly helped with you, has it not?" Ben said with a smile to the maid off duty. She could only blush with her emotionless face on display. Though it was only a hit of red, only someone who was intimately familiar with all her faces would be able to tell with this lass.
"Of course not master. It would seem that I must speak with the other maids upon this matter." They both knew that she was joking, others would have no idea while the maid team could only get to 50% of being assured that she was joking.
"Well, I remember my own assassin blushing while giving me some valentine's chocolate. So I do believe that my thought pattern is not unstable." Her blush only got marginally deeper as he said so, though, to Ben, it was a major win like always whenever he spoke with her.
"I believe a certain pest of a master is imagining a memory." Her monotone fluctuated just a tad as she spoke, today was very much Ben's victory over this maid. Ben just laughed a little at her response, it was just like her admitting her love for him so long ago.
"This brings back memories…" Ben said while reminiscing his long past, what was to her only a scant few months ago. She could only stop herself from speaking as she followed him to a bench to sit at. His smile turned into a relieved one as he looked up towards the clouds in the sky.
"Master…" Sheffield said while looking at him, she noticed the very slight amount of moisture in his eyes. He pulled his hat to his eyes while closing them. He had not actually thought about them too much over the year away from them.
"Honestly… I started to feel the effects of you all not being there after about a week in my government-assigned quarters." Ben said with a sigh. While she was not the warmest girl in terms of expressing emotion, Sheffield could still understand and feel them, otherwise, she would have never fallen in love with him in the first place.
"Master… We are here now." Sheffield said while hesitating to bring him into a hug. She was just not used to displaying her affections in forms other than sarcasm, though he would not want any different from her.
"Right…" Ben said they sat together for a few more minutes before Sakura notified him that he had to get back and finish today's paperwork. As he stood up to walk back to the offices, Sheffield stood up with him.
"What is it-" Sheffield gave him a quick peck on the lips before leaving… the action stunning Ben for a few seconds, she almost never initiates something like this. He could only smile lightly at the sudden gesture of affection from the usually stoic maid. He could spot the rather deep blush she sported as she left.
"You should just say it outright you know… though I am not mad at this arrangement either," Ben said to himself before walking off. Sheffield quickly disappeared and returned to her room without the notice of any of the ships inside of the dorms currently.

"The paperwork is slowly abatement huh…" Enterprise said while organizing the stack of papers that Ben had finished. It still surprised her sometimes the speed that he could read and understand these pages which would leave most sleeping on their desks from boredom.
"Yeah, a majority of the paperwork in setting up for building permits and suppliers are done now… though it is the harder option to split from the World Defense Navy, it should help us in the long run," Ben said while finishing another paper. Even if she hasn't ever met a representative of the international navy, Enterprise would give them respect for being able to connect the world even when all the sea routes were severely limited.
"Still have to go to that global meeting…" Ben said while finishing another page, he already knew Sirius would be accompanying him, mainly due to her true purpose of being a bodyguard. She has had maid training sure, but first and foremost is her ability to fight.
"Sirius will do a great job, master," Belfast said while bringing some tea through the door. After the sudden air raid of sirens during a part, of which Sirius dispatched them all by herself, it was clear just how capable she was at being a bodyguard… being a maid however was still up for debate, though she has gotten better in that regard.
"That I know… but I wonder who will be going along with the other admirals," Ben said while stopping his pen to pick up the cup of tea that Belfast skillfully placed on one of the few free parts of the table.
"Indeed, it might be a good idea to bring along another kansen…" Hood said, showing up just behind Belfast with a stack of papers in hand, though it was far from the amount that was on the table as of current.
"But who to bring…" Ben said as he placed the cup back onto the saucer, the empty container was quickly filled with tea once more by the head maid before she made a cup for Hood. He took another sip before resuming the filing of paperwork.
"I will have to supervise them…" Enterprise said, the unsaid part of her wanting to come with him was what everyone in the room could infer from her usual statements. Indeed, all of them had work that prevented them from accompanying him…
"Since I have to lead the Royal Navy ships, and Belfast the maid corps, we are not free either…" It had been quite a bit of time since she was to be the faction leader after Ben got Elizabeth, the responsibility corresponding with the job had been largely lifted from her, though she was number 4 in the leadership line at the time of his disappearance.
"Indeed, I could have Newcastle take over for me, but that would just be going against the wishes of the former head maid." Belfast states, she loved her sister very much, and as much as she loved Ben more, it took precedence when her sister's oath is on the line. There is a reason why she retired and left the position to Belfast after all.
"Indeed… who should I take…" Ben said while leaning into his chair, Cocura was already taking care of the Wo-Class, so she is out, the kanmasu from this world was out due to needing training, and Yorktown was also out in order to handle paperwork that he would have had to deal with.
"I do believe that you should also bring Kaga for air support," Yorktown said as she carried in a far smaller stack of papers. It would seem that the paper tower was almost finished for today. Ben could finally see the light of the moon now.
"Do you remember the last time Kaga was brought to a meeting," Ben asked with sweat dripping off the back of his head. The others paused as they tried to think about just what he said happened, she was one of the first ones that he took.
"She ended up challenging the entire group of ship girls and winning, then she was banned from attending again by the Nagato," Ben remarked, reminding the group of wives to one of the many incidents.
"Ah yes, I remember that Kaga still has the medal that they manufactured the day of… you admirals were really drunk at the after-party huh," Enterprise said with a tilt of her head. They usually hosted a party after the meeting came to a close, it did quite a bit for their morale when they were up against insurmountable odds at the time.
"Though she is a lot calmer now…" Ben said with a quick scribble, signifying a quarter of the papers he had on his desk being completed. She had stopped challenging anyone and everyone after their marriage… though her competitive nature still showed through when it came to claiming his time from other kansen.
"Yeah, it might be a good idea for her to accompany you this time, just to gadge it properly." His usual girl to take on things like these meetings besides Sirius was Mikasa from the Sakura Empire, Tirpitz from the Iron Blood, Hood for the Royal Navy, Brooklin for the Eagle Union, Saint Louise from the Iris Libre, Algérie from the Vichiya Dominion, Yat Sen from the Dragon Empry, Kirov from the Northern Parliament, and Duca degli Abruzzi from the Sardina Empire.
"Yes, it is a shame that you don't have your usual diplomatic ships on hand. It would have made a far better impression with them." The first meeting he had was when he had relatively few ships, so Enterprise could spare some time to accompany him to the meeting.
"Yeah, I'll write up the tasks later, I want to go on a stroll tonight as well, I haven't actually done that yet," Ben said with a sigh as he completed another document. The girls nodded as he worked later into the night than any one of them would have liked.

Azur Sky Naval Base: Dorms: Wo-Class Room

He had made sure not to be noticed by any of the girls as he walked through the halls. Curacoa had already been relieved of her duties for tonight far before this hour, so it was only him and probably Sendai up at the moment. Though the night battle-obsessed cruiser was busy in the water of the hot springs right now.
"Hello." Ben rapped on the door gently, though none of the other apartments on the floor were filled, it was good to make sure that no one besides the abyssal heard him. He could hear the shuffling of feet from within the temporary abode, it was far nicer a prison than what other ships would allow.
"Wo." Her voice was far less raspy than before, now having a bit of moisture in her body from the fresh water and tea that the maid had given her.

Note: Hope you all enjoyed this rather late chapter, though it still is well within my two-day posting.
FFN:
Skull Flame: - I didn't understand your answer, but Wo seems to be doing fine.
- So the admiral has a "penchant" for picking up strays, huh... Interesting.
Response: In a majority of fan works that I know about, the main abyssal that is used to signify that hey, not all abyssal are bad, or is used to show that indeed, abyssals are kanmasu all along.
As for the strays thing, I just decided that it would be fun for sirens to come along for the ride.
SnitchPogi12: Would KC shipgirls may interact with their AL counterparts? Like Nagato meeting her cute counterpart.
Response: Indeed, the girls will be showing up and interacting with one another, it is the main point of the fic afterall.
Ao3:
Curtis: Awesome chapter i cant wait to see what happens next. I am wondering who will show up next from azur lane will would be cool if its amagi. Keep up the good work
Response: To avoid spoilers, I will only say that they will not be from the Sakura Empire, I like to keep the various factions from suddenly arriving multiple times straight.
saber1: very nice i cant wait to see who gonna show up, question are you gonna bring girls from gfl or other serie as well or only azur lane ?
Response: Indeed the GFL girls will be showing up, just not for a while. As for other series, it is just up to my muse and how I deal up my world building.
