Chapter 28
After opening the clue that was left on the floor, they decide to open it and see, Elena says, "Some of the words aren't readable...I am not sure what they mean..."
Ash says, "Let me see, I think I can read it." Elena nods and she gives Ash the letter, and he notices the picture and the words, he sighs, "Oh, A mysterious large hole that connects our world to another. This phenomenon was originally discovered by Professor Mohn. The hole connects to worlds where Ultra Beasts live. Some beasts are different from the Pokemon that we are familiar with."
"Ultra Beasts?" Alice asks, and Ash sighs, "Here we go again..."
"You these Ultra Beasts? Ash?" Elena asks, and Ash says, "Of course I know, I have been asked by Ms. Lusamine to help to stop them from getting to our world back in the Alola Region. If you don't know who she is, she is the president of the Aether Foundation as well as the wife of Professor Mohn."
"I start to wonder what kind of journeys do you have in the past...but look at the place, I think it is the Max Lair." Elena says.
"You're right. Let's go there and see." Once they get there, they find Peony and Peonia. Peony says, "Hey there, Chief! Thanks for stoppin' by! I'm finally gettin' a little quality family time with my darlin' Nia."
Peonia just grunts a little, and Elena says, "Uncle, we found this in the house, do you know about this?"
"Hmm? Did I drop something at base camp? Is that really mine? I don't recall ever writin' it... Hmm? Hang on-isn't that the Max Lair there in that clue?" Peony asks in confusion.
Just then, they see a lot of trainers running out from the Max Lair, much to everyone's confusion.
"What happened?" The scientist in front of the gate asks.
"Creatures! A horde of creatures appeared inside the Max Lair! And we don't know if they're Pokemon!" A boy yells.
"What?" The scientist mutters, "Has something caused alien beings to appear? And is this somehow connected to that Ultra Wormhole that opened up briefly in the sky?"
As they hear the scientist's words, Peony says, "Well, sounds like some new, crazy thing's afoot! And you know what that means, Chief! Bet you a new expedition's approachin'! And I know just what to call this one!"
They Came from the Ultra Beyond!
"Dad...you are embarrassing us..." Peonia says, and Elena says, "We are used to it, Peonia."
"Ha! How d'you like that one, Chief? Anyway, for now, there's your goal: catch the Pokémon-or whatever-in the photo on that odd clue! Now get pumped for some more adventurin'!" Peony says.
After that, Ash says, "So there are Ultra Beasts inside of this place...we need to stop them before they wreak havoc."
"I agree." Alice says, "We may not know what they are, but we are going to stop them no matter what."
As they enter the wormhole because everyone is already gone except for the scientist, who also agrees to let them use their Pokemon, they find the mark that has the Fighting Type. As they go there, they find out that the Pokemon is no other than Buzzwole.
"That is Buzzwole, also known as Code: Absorption." Ash says, "This is the Ultra Beast that can destroy heavy machinery with just one punch."
"How are we going to beat it?" Peonia asks, and Ash says, "It is still a Pokemon, and it is Bug and Fighting Type. Flying Type Pokemon will be great to defeat them."
The others nod as they send out their Charizard, Corviknight, Unfezant and Braviary. The four of them are using the moves together, but Buzzwole might uses Power-Up Punch to raise its Attack stat and then use Leech Life on the Braviary, but in the end, they are still able to defeat it without any problem.
"So how are we going to catch it?" Elena asks, and Ash takes out a Beast Ball and says, "We use this. I got them from Lillie since she told me that they are useful to capture Ultra Beats."
After capturing the Buzzwole, they get out of the place and they send the Buzzwole back to Delia so that she can do something about it. Peonia says, "The information you gave us, does that mean you have seen this Buzzwole before?"
"Of course I do." Ash says. "Back in the Alola Region, it enjoys flexing its muscles. I had to distract them by acting with him to capture them and send it back to their own world."
"Okay." Alice says, "Should we find the next one?"
"We should." Ash says as they enter again, and this time they find a Dark Type one, Ash gulps as they see that the Pokemon is no other than Guzzlord.
"Guzzlord, also known as Code: Glutton." Ash says as he sweatdrops. "Guzzlord has gobbled mountains and swallowed whole buildings."
"That sure is a big mouth...what if we are sucked inside?" Peonia asks.
"We just need to do some Fairy moves." Ash says as he sends out Sylveon, Alice sends out Ninetales, Elena sends out Mawile and Peonia sends out Ribombee as they all use Dazzling Gleam at the same time. But much to their surprise is that the Guzzlord can use Max Quake to give them a lot of damage, as well as the use of Brutal Swing.
"This really is a hard Ultra Beast to battle..." Alice says, Ash says, "I agree. I faced two of them back in the Alola Region, as they are destroying the Alola League after I become the first Champion. It is thanks to all the Trial Captains as well as the Kahunas that we can win against the two of them."
"But we have four people, and we are strong, right? There is no reason why we can't stop it." Elena says as they have Ash Dynamax and uses the Max Starfall, causing it to fall and Ash quickly uses the Beast Ball to capture the second one.
"So how many Ultra Beasts are there to find?" Alice asks Ash, and he says, if I remember it correctly, there are a total of 9 of them. Since we captured 2, there might be 7 more."
"Next let's go to the Flying Type one." Peonia says as they head there, they find that the one with the Flying Type is no other than the Celesteela.
"This one is Celesteela, also known as Code: Blaster." Ash says, "Witnesses have seen it burn down a forest by expelling gas from its two arms."
"That sure is too big, and I am pretty sure that it is a Steel Type." Elena says. "Wait for a second, did you say that it is Flying Type as well?"
"I did. So we can't use Ground Type attacks on this Pokemon unless we change the gravity." Ash says, and they decide to use Pikachu, Cinderace, Magnezone and Salazzle to battle. Much to their surprise is that the Pokemon uses Earthquake to give them a lot of damage, and the fact that it also uses Leech Seed to take their health.
In the end, thanks to Salazzle's Corrosion ability, they manage to poison even the Steel Type Pokemon, and then Ash throws the Beast Ball to capture it.
"I thought that it won't work..." Ash says, "I mean...I didn't get to capture it the last time."
"What happened?" Alice asks and Ash says, "It actually arrived in Alola approximately 200 years ago in what was believed to be a naturally appearing Ultra Wormhole, and was stuck in the ground ever since, passively absorbing energy for a takeoff. Because it was too deeply rooted to the ground at the time, we have failed to capture this Pokemon. But when Celesteela was preparing to take off, we realized that the flames produced when it flies would set the surrounding area ablaze. So we have to create a giant barrier to protect the forest and see how it blasts off home."
"I never know that it is such a big deal." Peonia says, "Sounds like each of those alien-like Pokemon are really one of a kind."
"I know..." Ash says.
The next one they find is Poison, and much to Ash's horror, it is the jellyfish-like Pokemon: Nihilego.
"Nihilego, also known as Code: Symboint." Ash says, " People on the street report observing those infested by it suddenly becoming violent."
"In other words, it is a parasite that can try to parasite us..." Alice says. "What type it is?"
"Rock and Poison, Steel may be the best choice." Ash says.
"I am glad to hear that." Elena says as they send out Lucario, Sandslash, Copperajah and Perrserker to battle. Because they are Steel Type, Poison moves aren't able to get to them and Nihilego can only use Brutal Swing and eventually it is defeated.
"I don't know why you seem to have a big deal with this Pokemon?" Alice says, and Ash sighs, "Believe me, this Pokemon is anything but. We witnessed how it manages to parasite Ms. Lusamine into the Ultra Wormhole, and the fact that we have to chase it to their own world, which is known as the Ultra Deep Sea. It has been throwing Rocks at me and if it wasn't for the help of my Pikachu's new Z power, we won't be able to go out of the place live."
"Okay, but that is four of them." Peonia says as they go to the one with Electric, and much to Ash's delight, it is Xurkitree.
"This one is Xurkitree, also known as Code: Lightning. It raided a power plant, so people think it energizes itself with electricity."
"Electricity, huh?" Elena says, "Then Ground Types are going to be useful in this one after all."
As they send out Stunfisk, Steelix, Mudsdale and Sandaconda, they have been trying to use some Ground moves to knock it out, but the fact it uses Power Whip shocks them as they see how their Ground Type Pokemon are dealing a lot of damage.
"I think maybe it is a tree, it can use Grass Type as well." Ash says.
"We have to be careful." Alice says as they continue to attack, eventually it manages to defeat the Pokemon and Ash captures it.
"When we saw this Pokemon, it was at the power plant sucking electricity as energy, and then it tries to attack us with that wire-like body. We manage to distract it by using some flashy moves and tricks until I use Lycanroc to stop them for the first time."
"That sounds cool." Alice says as they send the fifth Ultra Beast back into the castle.
In the castle, Delia has asked Lillie to come and Lillie says, "So they are the Ultra Beasts that Ash and Alice capture?"
"That's right. Though we are curious about how to deal with them...it seems like they don't remember how they end up in the Max Lair and how they managed to Dynamax their own."
Lillie asks, "Do you think it is related to that Pokemon?" Lillie asks, "I mean...the same Pokemon that control Nebby back then?"
"I am not sure, but it might be the case, let's hope that they manage to capture them." Delia says as they look at the sky, where they can see a small Ultra Wormhole that is opened.
Here is the new chapter, and from this chapter and the next one, it will be Ultra Beast capturing and the final Legendary Clue. Peonia is going to be a partner for them as they capture the Ultra Beasts, and I decide to have them use their own Pokemon since Ultra Beasts are dangerous in Anime compared to Game.
