Ch 28.
The Darkness, the First of the Eldritch Terrors came to Greendale and took the form of several miners as they made their way towards a fire that warmed a homeless man.
The Darkness moved to grasp and kill the beggar, when all of a sudden the man jumped and gave a mighty strike that sent one of the dark possessed miners flying away.
"Mimwhashamamwawmam!" A series of incomprehensible noises where made by the beggar before it started fighting with the Darkness's avatars.
The battle raged all night, the beggar seemingly without an end to its energy while no matter how many times the darkness was struck down, it still returned, for Darkness was endless during the night. Only the first rays of sunlight made the Darkness retreat.
As the Darkness retreated the beggar shed its disguises, revealing it's long flowing hair, top hat, glasses and necktie of a particular Addams family member, right before said Addams left to inform his relatives in Greendale of what happened.

The door was opened by a groggy Sabrina who had Harvey's hand in hers. Sabrina rarely let Harvey alone now, out of a misplaced stalker like fear that some slut would come and seduce him if she was not near. She was going through a yandere like, crazy jealous lover phase.
Oh, how much Harvey loved this woman!
But his adoration of his Soulmates Sabrina, was interrupted by the sight of the Addams relative that defeated the Darkness for now.
"Cousin It! What brings you here?"
"Mimwhashamamwawmam!"
"Really? Eldritch Demons! Oh my!"
"What did he say?" Sabrina asked.
"That the barrier between dimensions is broken and that the Old Gods are returning. This is Cousin It, he's a secret agent that works as a freelancer and currently he's been employed by Heaven to see to the Old Gods." Harvey explained.
"Mimwhashamamwawmam!"
"He wants us to take care of the Darkness while he searches and prepares for the coming of the other Terrors." Harvey said as Cousin It nodded and then gave Sabrina and Harvey a map to where he tracked the Darkness's retreat before taking his leave to prepare for the other Terrors.
"Guess it's time for a good old fashion bounty hunt! Giddy yup!" Sabrina said with excitement in her voice, despite the situation they were in, she was rather enjoying it. For Sabrina at heart was a warrior for good vs evil and it always felt good to do good.
And what better way to show how good she was, especially to Harvey, than with a round of ultraviolence?
"I wonder...is that the only way?" Harvey asked as an idea formed in his head.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx A few hours later xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"I WON'T LET YOU DO THIS HARVEY! GOING IN THERE TO NEGOTIATE WITH THAT THING!?THIS IS RECKLESS, INSANE AND DANGEROUS!" Sabrina said in outrage as she stood in front of the entrance to the mines where the Darkness had retreated to hide from the daytime.
With no Blackwood to perform the egg ceremony the Darkness was not strong enough to engulf the World in night, so it could only exist outside of sunlight.
"Brina, are really asking me to not do something reckless?" Harvey teased.
"Yes I am! Yes, I know I am a hypocrite! But I don't care! I'm the girlfriend in the relationship and you must obey!I HAVE SPOKEN" Sabrina said and latched onto Harvey's hand, refusing to let him go into the mines to try his reckless plan.
"Brina, come on now, if this works then everyone benefits!"
"And if it backfires then you'll be dead! You belong to me!" Sabrina said as she tightened her grip of Harvey's arms. "I would kill for you...I'd die for you...and I would before I let anything bad happen to you! I would do anything, give up my own beating heart to keep you safe!" Sabrina said with a fierce determination in her voice.
"Okay then." Harvey said with a smile as he then picked up Sabrina, catching her off guard, and started carrying her bridal style into the mines.
"What the? This is cheating! Put me down!" Sabrina said with a blush.
"You said that you are not gonna let me go and do this by myself, so we are doing this together. And as for me carrying you, do you really want me to let you go?" Harvey said and gave her an amorous look causing the young half-witch to blush even more and look away.
"I hate you sometimes!" Sabrina said in embarrassment as Harvey carried her bridal style over the mine's threshold and into the Darkness where their deepest fears resided in that pitch black abyss.
"This is so romantic!" Harvey said with enthusiasm.
"I ought to slap you silly for this." Sabrina shot back in annoyance at the situation, at just how much she was putty in Harvey's grasps and cute puppy dog eyes.
"Promises, promises." Harvey said as he gave her a kiss on the forehead and a smile. Oh those eyes, those that she could not resist.
"You're perception of reality must be quite skewered for you two to come here to me willingly. Unless of course you are both in a lover's suicide pact." The voice of the Darkness was heard all around the pitch black of the mines.
"We've come to talk actually." Harvey said to the Darkness.
"About what?" The Darkness replied.
"We have a proposition for you." Sabrina said as she explained Harvey's crazy idea that she was fully behind, for since now that they were both in the mines there was no danger of either of them dying before the other, if they triumphed now they would triumph together and if not, then they would be spared the horror of seeing the other dying before them.

The Arch Angel Michael keeled over in laughter as he saw the outcome of the confrontation between the Darkness and Sabrina and Harvey.
For they had come not to fight, but upon Harvey's philosophy that they call can get along, had proposed that the Darkness abandon the Elder Gods and in exchange for that it would be allowed to stay in the world and frighten the mortals.
And it worked!
And not just to the benefit of the Darkness, but to Heaven itself.
The Darkness showed the greatest fears to the humans and those that were on the path of alcoholism, drugs, abusive behaviors, bad choices, where shown the worse outcome, their greatest fears made flesh had scarred them straight and thus increasing the amount of kindness and goodness on Earth.
The scares at first where to terrorize the humans, then they became a surprise that lighten them out of their daily repetitive routine.
Then, then a collective thought arose from the humans.
And in that moment the Darkness changed.
Inside the very maple trees where Sabrina had retrieved the Crown of rebuild itself as it created a world dedicated to scarring the mortal, it chose Halloween, the Old Festival of All Hallows Eve, as the day when it would focus its efforts most of all. And because of that the Darkness changed again as the world became a town as creatures of Darkness gathered there in order to practice their dark arts in a way that not only did not harm humans, but also brought benefits to the world.
A town that thought 'Life was no fun without a good scare'.
And in that moment the Darkness's shifted fully into its new form.
A skeletal form, dressed to the t, that would rule over this Halloween Town.
A king of this Halloween Town.
And this king of frights, of Halloween and of its Pumpkin faced frights leads his new followers into a song to commemorate their first Halloween.
"Boys and girls of every age.
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?"
Michael stopped viewing as he recovered from his endless amusement.
"To think that that little affair with Hardrada and Freya would produce such benefits. Love and understanding really is the path to peace and prosperity! Oh, I can barely wait to see how they deal with the other Terrors."
