Question 28: Tell your partner what you like about them: be honest this time, saying things that you might not say to someone you've just met.

Blaine was late. He had been in this dentist's office for almost an hour and he hasn't been called yet. Kurt would be mad. They had arranged a meeting with a cater to start organizing things for their wedding. Blaine looked at his watch again only to confirm he was screwed.

On a normal day, Kurt would be pissed of being stalled, but it was first day they would be seeing things for the wedding. The week before, it had become a touchy subject when Kurt had almost thrown out his box with wedding plans he had made since he was little. They had talked and Blaine had assured him he also wanted a big wedding. Only, it kept bothering Blaine what else Kurt might be doing to spare him or to make him feel comfortable, without even asking Blaine what he wanted.

He knew he was being paranoid, but being paranoid was how he had learned to survive after the Sebastian incident. Kurt had assured him he had learned his lesson and would never assume Blaine thought or felt something without asking him first. They had made love and agreed to make this appointment with the cater. The same one Blaine was late to because of his stupid tooth being aching. Deep down, he knew it wasn't his fault, but on the shallow of his mind he kept punishing himself for keeping Kurt waiting.

Blaine was already tapping his foot and checking his watch every few seconds, but nothing would ease his anxiety. He loved Kurt so much, why did he kept doing things to hurt him? He went to the water dispenser and grabbed a cup. But drinking it didn't make him calmer and made his tooth ache even more.

He approached the woman at the front desk. He smiled at her and she smiled back:

"Can I help you?"

Blaine put on his most seductive grin:

"Yes, please. My name is Blaine Anderson and I'm waiting here for over an hour…"

She interrupted him:

"I'm so sorry, sweety; we had an emergency and Doctor Newman had to start a complicated and timely procedure. Do you have an appointment? I don't see your name in the book."

Blaine sighed:

"I called earlier and someone told me to come here that Doctor Newman would see me. My tooth is hurting a lot and I was instructed to come ASAP."

The middle-aged woman smiled sympathetically:

"I'm so sorry, sweety. On a normal day you would already be back at home with your problem solved. Today in exception, I promise."

"Is there someone else who could take a look at my tooth?"

"Sorry, again. Only Doctor Newman is on call today."

Blaine tried his puppy-dog eyes:

"I'm in so much pain…"

The woman eyed him pointedly:

"Tell me the truth."

Blaine sighed again:

"It's… my fiancé. I'm late to meet him and he'll be really mad."

She smiled in a very motherly way:

"I'm sure he won't be, it's not your fault you've been delayed."

Blaine started twisting his hands to try to undo his nervousness. She looked at him caringly:

"What's troubling you, dear?"

Somehow Blaine felt he could trust her:

"My fiancé will be disappointed. We were… kind of in an awkward situation last week and I really didn't want to bother him."

"Tell me more about your fiancé. Does he get mad at you often?"

Blaine was quick trying to defend Kurt, even if the woman hadn't properly offended him. It was important that she'd understand how wonderful Kurt was.

"He never gets mad at me. It's I that feel insecure so often and… Why am I annoying you with my troubles?"

"Well, we're just chit-chatting and passing time. Want to talk about something else? Am I annoying you?"

Blaine smiled with just the tip of his lips:

"Not at all, ma'am. And talking about Kurt is my favorite thing in the world. You know, besides being by his side."

"You must love very much this Kurt of yours..."

Blaine chuckled:

"It's kind of funny to hear you call Kurt mine. I always felt like I was his; body and mind."

"It's difficult to see so much commitment in a lad so young like yourself. How did you two meet?"

"Through a friend in common, she was his roommate and I took her place."

She raised one eyebrow in a suggestive way:

"Kurt must have liked the change."

Blaine chuckled once more:

"I like to think he did. Kurt rescued me from such a dark place that I want to make up to him and try to make him happy every hour of every day."

"And you already do."- said a familiar voice that caught Blaine's attention.

He turned around to see Kurt opening the door of the dentist's office. He turned to the nice lady of the front desk:

"This is my fiancé."

She smiled at him:

"He doesn't look mad to me."

"Why would I be mad?"

Blaine turned to him again and began to shift his weight between his feet:

"I just thought you wouldn't like to be kept waiting."

Kurt approached him and squeezed his hand:

"Oh honey, I was worried. And then I remembered that if you need anesthetics, you might need my help getting back home. So, I gave a rain check to the cater and came to be with you."

"My knight in a shining armor."

Kurt bent his head to the side in thought:

"I like to think of myself as your partner in crime."

"Kurt… You always zig when I think you are about to zag. I love that about you."

"I love you too. May I kiss you or is you tooth still hurting?"

"Let me just ask…"

Blaine was about to ask the nice lady when he noticed she had gone somewhere while he spoke to Kurt. Kurt passed his arms around Blaine's neck:

"She must have gone to give us some privacy. You were telling some pretty intimate things to someone you just met."

"I always get carried away when talking about you. Anyhow, you came here to kiss or to tease me?"

Kurt giggled:

"I came here to here to hear the wild things you'll say while on painkillers."
