-Chapter 28-Three moms watching-

-Shelby pov-

"The girls are acting odd right?" The other two moms nod and I pick up my coffee mug "Did we miss something?"

"With our combined mothering skills?" Judy smiles and the frowns while slumping "Yeah probably"

"Hey!" Maribel smacks Judy on the shoulder "Speak for yourself! I'm a great mother!"

"Santana vomited on stage from being drunk" Maribel cringes and Judy takes a sip of her latte "I believe she also got us all to breadsticks so she could defile our friend over here"

"No she didn't" I look away when Mari looks at me "WHAT?! You all just started dating!"

I sigh and look at her "I was out numbered" Mari raises a eyebrow "Brittany isn't as innocent as she seems!"

"Trust me" Maribel shakes her head "I know"

"What do you mean?" Judy and her share a silent conversation with their eyes "What?"

"Brittany hasn't lived at home since..well a while" I frown at the new news I'm hearing "Her mom and dad actually moved..she doesn't know that though"

"You were around when she tried to kill herself?" They both nod "I assume Russel was too?"

"He hated the idea of her moving in" Judy shakes her head and sighs "She moved in with Maribel instead"

"Got my ex husband to leave" Maribel shrugs "The mother in law isn't much of a loss"

Judy rolls her eyes "I wish I got that lucky" she takes another drink from her lattes "I have my mother and mother in law!"

"Well I like my mother in laws" Both girls glare at me before we all laugh "I'm glad we can be friends"

"I am too" Judy sighs "I wonder if I should just let Diana just come and see Luc..Quinn and Frannie..she misses them dearly"

"Why does Quinn hate being called Lucy?" Judy stands up "Bad question?"

"Not at all" Judy gives me a smirk "I'll be back"

"This will be fun" Judy walks off and I give Maribel a confused look. I get met with a evil smile "Quinn loves her old photos so much they are locked in her room"

I'm about to speak when there's a thud "Should we check on them?" Maribel shakes her head and I stand at another thud "Maybe we should go!"

"NO MOM!" I sit down as Judy comes in followed by Quinn "PLEASE! I need some dignity left! She'll never marry me if she sees those!"

"She'll never marry a complainer" Maribel takes the book while Judy holds Quinn "This is my favorite book!"

"NO!" Santana comes running in with Brittany "IM IN THAT ONE!"

The books opened and I can't hold in my laughter. It's not to make fun of them though. I just got taken off guard by their outfits. Santana is puffy cheeked and in a Dorothy outfit.

Quinn was a chubby little girl. She definitely filled out her wicked witch dress. I stop laughing and smile as I look through the photos. I chuckle when I see the first photo of the three together.

"You all look so adorable" I hold it up and show them "You went as cats?"

"We had just taken them to see a cats play" Judy smiles "It was no where near Halloween!"

"So this was by choice?" The girls nod and I laugh "Oh boy! You all look so cute!"

"I have a replacement one" Judy pulls it out and places it down "You can keep that one"

"Thank you" I sit it off to the side "I'm glad my mom doesn't know where I li~"

Knock knock knock

"We have guest?" I shrug and follow the moms to the door while the girls take the book. I grabbed the photo before I walked away "Wonder who it could be!"

We open the door and I freeze "I'm sorry Shelby" my babysitter points behind her "She wouldn't stop and I was coming for my check"

"Hello sweetie!" I'm pulled into a hug "Oh I can't believe this! You got such cute girlfriends here!"

"Yeeaaahh" I pull away and hand my babysitter her money "Thanks for trying Monica! Enjoy your break! And run far away! Don't turn back!"

She nods and runs away. My mom walks in and I get confused looks. I sigh and walk in after her. I freeze as she picks up Beth.

"Is this my granddaughter?" Mom smiles happily as Beth babbles "You're so much younger than I thought you'd be"

"Who's the old bag?" I sigh as Santana leads the girls into the room "We donating to hobos now?"

"Big nose, star eyes, and brown hair" Sugars eyes go wide "Santana! That is Shelby's mom!"

"Shit" Santana is immediately at my moms feet "IM SO SORRY! You're the prettiest hobo I've met! I mean you probably are not a hobo! You we still very pretty! Should I shut up now?"

"You should have shut up a while ago" Santana nods and quickly comes back to us "Are these your maids?"

"Is it cause we are Mexican?" Maribel raises a eyebrow "Cause that would be racist"

"No dear" My mom points to Maribel "You and the blonde are wearing aprons"

"Oh yeah" Maribel sighs "Santana learned too much from me"

"I hope the blonde is your girlfriend" I share a look with Judy "I am missing something here...why don't we get a run down?"

"I'm Rachel Barbara Berry" Rachel smiles "I'm your granddaughter"

"Then who am I holding?" Beth smiles up at her with drool "Is it my granddaughter?"

"She is" Wuinn steps forward "She was mine..I'm Quinn Fabray"

"Fabray Huh?" Oh no "I knew a Fabray once! His name was Mike!"

"He's my grandpa" Quinn smiles "He was a nice man"

"He stole money from me and forced Shelby plus me onto the streets" Quinn slumps back "Alright! What the hell is happening?"

"You are being a bitch in my house" Judy steps forward "You will not belittle my daughter and you daughters girlfriends!"

"Girlfriends?" Judy tenses "Who are you dating Shelby? Certainly not a Fabray!"

"Girls upstairs" I walk over and grab Beth "Take Beth with you"

Brittany walks over and grabs her "Good luck" Brittany looks at my mom with a smile "It is nice to meet you!"

We watch as they all go upstairs. I motion mom to the kitchen and she follows. The other two are with us as well. I could use some friends.

"So" Mom crosses her arms and looks at me "Speak Shelby! Tell me why you are with a..a Fabray! You know what they did to us! I can't believe you even raise that devil spawn!"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" All eyes are wide and on me "You can say what you what about me! But don't you ever...EVER! Call my family a devil spawn or be rude to them! Mike took the house because you spent money on alcohol and drugs! Cigarettes mattered more than food for me! He was the reason I got fed! Diana is the reason I got fed! If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have lived! Did you know I almost killed myself?! Kids called my potato sack!"

"Shel~"

"No!" I slam my hand down on the table "Yes I'm with three of my students! Yes I have made some bad decisions for money! Yes I regret giving Rachel away! Yes I regret a lot of things! But the number one thing I do not regret is leaving!"

"Donald" I give my mom a confused look "The last time you were this passionate was for that duck you wanted to name Donald"

I sit down and smile "You wouldn't let me have him" She nods with a watery smile "You never returned my letters...it's why I never reached out again"

"I was in a program" Mom pulls up the bag she's had "I have all of your baby photos that helped me get through it all"

"Why don't we all start over?" Maribel smiles "I'm Maribel lopez! I'm the mom of Santana and technically Brittany!"

"I'm Judy" Judy doesn't smile "I'm Quinn's mom and you will have to build back up trust"

"I understand" Mom looks at me and stands up "I best go get a hotel room"

"Stay" We all look up to see my girlfriends in the door way "We have the space! Even when the other grandmas come!"

"Santana?" She nods "I would love to but I've caused enough issues"

"No!" Quinn walks over with a smile "Stay! We can learn more about Shelby and you! We'd love to meet our future mother in law!"

"Shelby" mom looks at me with a smile "You did good with these picks"

I smile as she walks away with them "You know she is gonna show them pictures right?" I shrug and look over at Judy "Shouldn't you be worried?"

"Usually I would be" I look back and smile as I hear the laughter "But for now..for now this is fine"

Honestly it really is fine with me...for now.
