Nobody's POV
"Congratulations to you. Two little girls could escape from hundreds of trained henchmen!" Dunbar stated sarcastically.
He slammed his fist at the oak table.
"And you don't know where Barbie is. With her on the way, activation of our plan might fail again just like last time!" he growled while glaring at them.
Right at that time a woman came in.
She glanced at Dunbar who was ready to kill and the horrified men standing there.
"Let me guess. They couldn't handle two girls running around," she said, "but there's something weird about what's going on. I have some information that can help."
The woman smiled knowing she managed to calm him down.
Dunbar turned to them.
"I'm not done with you, yet. But for now you're all dismissed," he said.
They quickly ran outside fearing for their lives.
"So Marlo, what is it that you found out?" Dunbar asked.
Marlo nodded. "As I said something about Barbie seems off. According to what I found out, there are other people who are after her."
He now was interested.
"But why are there so many people after her?" he asked, "I want to capture her and stop her from interfering with my next plan. But what about the others who are chasing her?"
Marlo smirked as she nodded.
"My thoughts exactly! So I decided to investigate this whole situation myself," Marlo replied, "and guess what I found!"
Dunbar shrugged and waited for Marlo to continue.
"Roberts singularity," Marlo said as she pointed to her tablet as she pulled up the information she searched.
Dunbar frowned.
"The Roberts singularity? I thought it was just a family myth," Dunbar said as he sat down on his chair.
Marlo looked at him puzzled.
"You know about this?" she asked.
Dunbar scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"Of course I know about it! Have you forgotten? I was in that family before," he scoffed.
Marlo chuckled.
"Anyways, so you're suggesting that Barbie is trying to find that legacy, right?" he asked.
Marlo nodded as she glanced at her tablet. "It seems like it."
Marlo looked up to see Dunbar smirking smugly.
"I know that look. What are you planning?" Marlo asked seeming very excited.
Dunbar laughed evilly.
"Oh you're right. I do have a plan. In fact, Barbie won't know what hit her," he chuckled darkly.
Barbie's POV
"So all we have to do is to steal the riddles?" David asked.
I nodded. "Yeah, but we need to do it the right time."
"Actually guys, now I think is the right time. According to this news I found online, Elena Delaforse is invited to a charity event that is only gala," Teresa explained as she showed us her phone, "the event ends at eight p.m but now is just 2 p.m."
I smirked.
This was the perfect opportunity.
Patricia groaned.
"Barbie, this crazy! Right today we nearly fell off a cliff," she said.
I sighed.
"Sorry, kitty. But we have no choice," I replied.
She sighed in defeat.
After preparing for the next move, we were ready to leave.
Renee and Teresa and I left the house.
"I'll drive," Renee declared as she sat on the driver seat.
"Shotgun!" I called.
Teresa groaned as she sat at the passenger seat.
And with that Renee drove us to our destination.
I glanced at the mansion.
I smiled as we got off the car.
"The door is locked," Teresa said.
I looked for another entrance when I saw a window which was left open.
"We don't need to enter from the door," I said as I pointed to the window.
Renee and Teresa glanced at each other.
I glanced at the surroundings to make sure no one was there.
Then I grabbed my zipline backpack, using it I quickly reached the window.
Right then Renee and Teresa did the same thing.
I looked around the place seeing if there were any security cameras.
I smirked when I found out there was none.
"I swear these rich people are a bunch of idiots!" Renee snickered.
I laughed.
"Come on, guys. Let's go. The riddle we're looking for is in her office," I said as we headed towards that room.
When I opened the door I was stunned by the beautiful decorations.
My eyes landed on the picture of Queen Elizabeth, King Philip's wife.
Renee and Teresa began to look through the shelves of books while I began to look through the stuff she had on her desk.
I saw an old history book which kinda seemed cool.
I opened the book and right then a paper fell on the floor.
I picked it up as I began to read it.
I smiled at the victory.
"Guys, we found what we were looking for," I announced as I held up the paper.
Right then I heard a sound of cars around the place.
"Holy shit!" Teresa yelled.
I quickly put the paper in my bag.
"We have to get out of here, now!" I said sternly.
I quickly opened the window knowing that we can't get out by door.
"Oh no, no, no! Not jumping," Teresa said fearfully.
Renee rolled her eyes.
"Teresa, it's either jumping or getting caught," Renee said.
Right as we were about to jump the door swung open.
"You useless idiots, get them!" Elena yelled.
Right then we jumped out.
But right after that two men ran towards us.
We quickly rushed towards our car.
We quickly got in and the car and Renee drove off.
"Ummm, guys! I think we're having followers," Teresa said as she pointed to our back.
A black car was chasing us.
I quickly pulled out my gun and rolled down the window and jumped on the top of the car.
I aimed my gun at the car.
I shot the tire causing the car to stop.
I got back in the car.
"Yes! We made it!" Renee exclaimed excitedly.
I chuckled.
"The second piece of the puzzle, here we go! Now all we have to do is to try and figure them out," I said.
After we returned back I decided to take a look at the riddles.
"Eight are the leaves on my lady's grace.
Fair sits the round of my lady's face.
Thirteen tears from suns great door
Make right to tread in gules on the floor
Then add one in for the queen's fair sin
Then all shall be told and the gift unfold," I read it aloud.
Patricia stood up.
"Weren't there eight lines? This paper only had six lines," Patricia pointed out.
Then I glanced at the others.
"And besides, what was the meaning of all of that?" Teresa asked.
I shrugged.
I really didn't know.
"I think this riddle is more explained in the will of our great grandfather," Cassandra said.
I pulled it out of my bag.
But it wasn't clear enough.
"Any backup plan?" David asked.
Right then a small paper fell on the floor.
I sighed as I picked it up.
I smiled.
"I guess we do. This shows that my great grandfather had a lawyer who has the will as well," I announced.
So all we had to do was to get our hands on it
