Novilunar: adj. pertaining to the new moon
The full moon has a reputation for being the most ominous, and by that token the new moon should be the least eventful, but no.
"What happened?" Wilson asked.
"It was dark, and my foot went down a hole," Carter explained.
"He got stuck, so I tried pulling him out, but tripped on a branch," Newkirk continued.
"He landed in the briar bush. I pulled myself out, but overbalanced and fell down the hill."
"Then there was the mud pit," Newkirk shuddered without explanation.
"But you got the film?" Hogan asked, and both men nodded. At least that went right.
