Kaleido Star and all of its characters belong to Gonzo and Jun'ichi Sato.
Kalos Eido was a pragmatic man. At least most of the time. But the image he let people see wasn't his true self. He had dreams too and could be sensitive. He had feelings like anyone after all. Those feelings he rarely showed drove him to his greatest life achievement: the Kaleido stage and the birth of the true Kaleido star.
But right now, he felt frustrated with his professional life. People around him moved too quickly for him to follow. He felt like an old man resisting modern changes. He was no more the man who took risks because now he had a lot to lose. Before, everything was new, and taking risks was the only way to achieve his goals.
What about today? What was making him act so cowardly?
"Maybe it's just fear." An old voice spoke.
Kalos looked at his guest with gloomy eyes. "I guess it is."
"But you already noticed, did you?" The old man asked with a defeated tone.
Kalos sighed from his chair, legs crossed to the right. He put a hand in front of his mouth, reflecting. Then he threw a glance at the man sitting before him, on a sofa. "Kenneth" He started with the idea to argue but he quickly surrendered. What was the point in keeping on lying to himself?
He was not stupid. They were not stupid. "But what do you suggest I do?"
M. Kenneth grasped his cane tightly and said in a grave tone. "Nothing Kalos. Nothing. Let them fail or succeed on their own." Then, he stood up ready to go. He told me what he wanted to say. "Then, maybe the old man and his conservatism can deal with the consequences."
"I see." Kalos agreed it was the only solution. Knowing Sora, if he went against her wishes she would go even deeper just to oppose him.
They both left his apartment while he took his decision. But for now, he wanted to see his girlfriend. He owed her an apology.
In front of Sarah's door, he hesitated. He was in a make it or break it situation. They needed to go to the next step or leave each other. He wasn't a man to live with a sword above his head.
He finally knocked. She opened the door quickly. It was Saturday afternoon. The dorm was quiet before the next performance, on the night.
He was about to do the most unpredictable thing of his life and he felt carefree about it as soon as he saw her smile.
"Come in." Sarah said. She pushed herself on the side to let him in and closed the door behind him.
She felt in a really good mood. After his surprised visit last night, her happiness meter was already high but now it was exploding. She hoped it wasn't a simple phase. Because she enjoyed him more when he stopped pushing her aside. When he trusted her to share his troubles.
They sat on her sofa while she poured him some lemonade. It was still hot for the first day of october.
"Thanks." Kalos quickly drank. His throat was almost dry.
"What are we doing today?" Sarah inquired. "I don't mind another game party! We can invite the crowd?" She suggested.
Last night, Kalos not only surprised her with a visit but also with his behavior. Lately, his visits were only for sex and he would hardly speak. However, yesterday, he not only asked her how she felt but also proposed to make some activities together. She was overjoyed. That's all she always wanted but never dared to ask. She loves Kalos for his ambition and she knew how independent his mind was. She accepted it when they got together and loved him with his qualities and defaults.
Yet, lately, they both felt so distant with each other. She was part responsible for lying to him about her miscarriage. But she still didn't know how to talk with him about it. But he also had his part of blame. Each time Yuri tried to move the cabaret project, Kalos was insufferable. Yes, the stage was his baby. But, sometimes, the kid had to grow up without its parents but friends and acquaintances.
She didn't know and when, but it seemed that Kalos finally had its lesson.
"How about Vegas?" Kalos offered.
Sarah left her thought, startled. "Vegas? I don't think we can come back for the next show!"
Kalos just dismissed her argument. "You can ask your understudy to replace you. She needs some spotlight too."
"What? But?" Sarah was lost. When did Kalos become so spontaneous?
"So? Layla and Sora are already having fun together. Don't you want it too?" Kalos put his arms on Sarah's shoulders and caressed it slowly to ease her fears.
"Well, I guess, we can for a night." She finally approved.
"Excellent! Just take a few things. We'll buy anything else needed or ask the hotel." He got up from his place, ready to leave.
"What! You mean now?" Sarah shouted, amazed.
Kalos raised his arms. "Yes." It was obvious for him. "Oh, and take a dress with you."
"Why? Are we dancing?" She questioned, curiously. "Or just to take it off?" She added, sensually. She came close to him and put her hands behind his neck while he put his own on her hips with a smirk.
"Yes. After our wedding." He stated with the first sign of worry in his eyes. It was now or never.
"Ou wed-" Sarah was completely lost for words. She could not think straight. "Kalos, you're asking me to-"
"Yes!" He interrupted her. "Please just say yes!" He was now begging.
Tears flowed on her cheeks. She glanced on the window and observed the quiet court of the dorm. Why did she hesitate?
"Sarah?" Kalos pleaded, worried.
She stared at him and found the answer. "Yes."
And she sealed her promise with a kiss. Soft and full of hope. She prayed she made the best choice for both of them.
The same day, in the evening, in the hotel lobby where they all had their rooms, the two couples of the Kaleido stage were discussing.
Well, Layla and Kalos were arguing.
The first one was trying to convince Kalos to change his mind about the wedding while the second one was reproaching Layla for her lies about her relationship with Sora.
"I think you owe me that after all those pitiful acts. I'm the last fool to know the truth. What did you fear? That I would ask Sora to choose between the stage or you? And so what? That's my job! Are you that insecure?" He put his fist on the table; they were all sitting with strength, out of frustration.
"Kalos, they-" Sarah started, trying to calm her fiance and soon to be husband.
"No! You lied to me too!" He raised his index finger to her head level to stop her from speaking.
"Actually, I just stayed silent. I told you the truth when you finally asked." The English woman revealed.
So that is how it happened, Layla thought. And now, the man was blackmailing them to be their wedding witnesses. She refused to participate in such a farce. Those two were on the verge of breaking up last week.
"So?" Kalos was impatient. "We're supposed to present ourselves to the chapel in 30 minutes."
"30 minutes! But we need to change quickly!" Now, Sora was panicking.
Layla glared at her girlfriend with disbelief. Was she the only sane person in this table?
"I think I'm fair. You can do whatever you want about your relationship as long as you bear the consequences. I'm just asking for your presence in my wedding."
"Our wedding." Sarah precised.
"Of course. Ours." Kalos repeated.
And 30 minutes they were inside the said chapel, ready to exchange their vows.
Layla was still skeptical but Sora persuaded her to come. A surprise waited for her in their hotel room. A good one, she hoped.
The Japanese girl on the other hand was enjoying the ceremony, as short as it was. It was so fast one could miss it by blinking. Then, Sarah turned towards their witnesses.
"Call me Mrs Eido now!" She shout energetically.
"I'm so happy for you!" Sora glanced at Layla with a wide smile to share her positivity. "We are happy for both of you. Right?" She closed the distance with her girlfriend, holding her arm, resting her head against.
The proximity was enough to make Layla forget her bad mood. She smiled despite herself, stroking Sora's face. "Yes, if that's what you want, congratulations, both of you." She said in a quiet voice, still enamored with the lilac-haired girl next to her.
"Thanks." Kalos and Sarah said at the same time, like an old couple.
"Hum. It's time for the honeymoon, isn't it?" Sarah suggested playfully, catching Kalos arm.
"I guess it is." He tried to say nonchalantly. "But before we leave, we will talk again about you two back at Cape Mery. I may have to do some client service because of you. Don't do anything stupid!" He warned them.
"Stop being such a party pooper!" Sarah told. "Goodbye girls! Have a good night too!" Sarah added.
"Goodnight!" Sora answered.
Layla stayed silent. She didn't like the infantilization. They were cautious until now.
Then at the end of the day each couple went to their room. It was the best of their night for both of them.
Layla was already changed in her nightgown. She was waiting for Sora who took her time. She was sitting in the middle of the bed, legs stretched, with a book and glasses on her nose. Since Sora took her time, she decided to read the original book of Carmilla. And she was still frustrated with the character of Laura. She wasn't sure she could capture her well enough. Maybe the training sessions with Sora will help.
She was still preoccupied when a voice interrupted her.
"Layla." She heard Sora's soft voice but with a deep tone. It intrigued her and she stopped what she was doing, looking up towards the bathroom door.
What she thought bewildered her. Instead of her nightshirt Sora was wearing a long velvet dress and… make-up? Sora usually didn't wear any make-up outside the scene. And they were about to go to bed. What was the point. Was it part of her surprise? "Listen Sora, between this day's activities and Kalos' surprise, I'm not in the mood to go anywhere at this hour." She started to complain. Yet, she only gained a smirk from Sora who approached her dangerously, like a cat preying a mouse.
"Huh, Sora?" She asked, a little lost.
The Japanese girl was now in front of her, on her knees, but she sure was dominating the blonde woman. She was gazing at her girlfriend with confidence, Layla rarely saw. It reminded her of their date inside the audition room. But it was even more intense. "Sora…" She repeated.
"Shshhh." The younger order with a finger in front of her mouth. "For now, just look. Then you can touch."
Layla was even more intrigued when Sora walked back slowly on all fours. But everything went clearer when she caught the long bar on the side of their room: a strip-bar actually. Sora was giving her a strip dance, Layla finally realized.
If you asked if it was worth sitting through Kalos and Sarah's fast wedding. Yes! It was fully worth it!
Sora's dance and gaze were captivating. She was moving sensually around the strip. She was enjoying herself with Layla reactions. The blonde woman was becoming impatient with a heat growing inside her. She was about to stand when Sora stopped her with a warning arm.
"No babe, you have to wait, I still have my clothes on." She playfully joked.
"But I want to take them off myself." Layla protested. Yet she obeyed. She will patiently wait her turn to be more active on Sora. It didn't mean she couldn't be active on herself, especially when her private dancer started to remove the zip of her gown. "You're trying to kill me!" She said promptly. Nonetheless, one of her hands started to wander under her nightdress.
Sora smiled mischievously. That was exactly what she wanted. "Come on Layla, show me, how much you want me." And she let the dress fall completely on the floor. She now only was wearing white underwear. "You like them? They come from New-York." She revealed.
"New- Oh!" Layla understood. She vividly remembered the day Sora bought them. The day of their first time. And today she was much more hungry. Her hand was now entering inside her intimate parts. She was just trying to release her frustration. But she would much prefer having Sora's hand or mouth. "When…" She pleaded.
"Soon." Sora replied while removing her bra from behind. Her smile growed again seeing the effect on Layla.
The American woman's breath became heavier and needed to sustain herself with her free hand to the head of the bed. "Sora!"
"Yes. Shout my name. That's all you can have until you come." Sora clarified while dancing with the strip.
Layla accepted Sora's challenge. It was quite easy with such a view. Her movements under her nightgown became more and more rapid. She was breathing loudly with moans. Louder too.
Sora achieved her by striping her panties. "I'm waiting too, Layla." She said in a naughty voice, caressing her own body.
Layla broke down. "Huuh!"
"Good job!" Sora congratulated her while jumping on the bed, sitting on her knees and naked, in front of the wasted fromer Kaleido star. "What do you want now? You can ask for anything. I'll never say no."
Layla was trying to win back her normal breathe and watched her girlfriend suspiciously. "Anything?" She needed to confirm.
A grin grew on Sora's face while she recklessly moved to Layal's right ear to whisper the most obscene words, the blonde woman never thought she would hear from her.
"Have you ever been an innocent girl?" Layla wondered. She caught Sora's back to prevent her from putting any distance between them. "Well, Mrs Naegino, you allowed so don't complain. I can be a dangerous pervert."
"I hope so." Sora dared. And Sora Naegino never lost a bet.
Finaly! I made it.
Ok, I hesistated on describing the full sexual role-play but sometimes, it best to leave the rest to the imagination, right? Tell me. I will if you want.
But for now, let's leave Vegas for good and get back at the main intrigue.
See you soon and take care!
