Chapter 28
On the next day at the Hano Grand Resort, Lillie wakes up after the sun shining and she notices that Ash is still sleeping. She smiles and she goes to the desk, only to find that her blue ribbon is on the table. She starts to remember some of her memories, and she remembers the time when she received the ribbon from Ash.
Ash also wakes up along with Pikachu, after seeing Lillie looking at the blue ribbon, he asks, "Lillie? What's wrong?"
Lillie says, "I think I have some memories getting back to me...Ash, did I have a Skiddo race with my mother?"
Ash smiles and says, "Of course! Your mother wants you to come back home to train as a professional Rhyhorn racer. but you tell your mother that you have decided to become a Pokémon Performer and will not go home."
"I did that? It sure has been a while." Lillie says, "I think I remember about that...and do we have a date in Coumarine City?"
"A date?" Ash blushes a little and says, "Well...you can say so...since we are alone without Pikachu by our side..."
Lillie notices his red face and she smiles, "That was when you gave me this ribbon, right?"
"Of course." Ash says as he tries to calm himself down, then he notices Lillie ties the ribbon on her dress' collar, she asks, "How do you think? Ash? It was just like the way I wore the ribbon, right?"
Ash smiles and says, "Of course. But does that mean, do you remember your first loss in the Pokemon Showcase?"
Lillie nods and says, "I remember, that was my weakest point, but I decide to cut my hair and change my outfit to show a new me, right?"
"Yeah." Ash says. "Do you remember more?"
"Unfortunately...I don't." Lillie frowns. "I guess my memory has stopped before we leave Coumarine City..."
"It is fine. You have done enough." Ash says, "Let's go tell our mothers about it."
After that, they all go downstairs while holding hands, then they see their mothers waiting for them in the hotel lobby. Aurora asks, "How do you two sleep?"
Ash says, "We have good news, Lillie remembers more of her memories. She even remembers the time when she attempted her first Performance."
Lusamine says, "Really? That is good news."
"I know." Lillie says, "And I remember how I won against you in the Skiddo race as well."
Lusamine flinches a little and Aurora giggles, "I will like to know about that."
Lusamine sighs and says, "I'll tell you about it later. Since you are here, how about you two enjoy the beach before you go to Konikoni City?"
"Of course, Mom." Ash says as they all leave the place to the beach.
Ash has been waiting for Lillie as she is dressing up in the dressing room, Ash decides to capture a Staryu using his newly evolved Leafeon which he evolves back in the Lush Jungle.
"Ash...here I am." Ash turns around and sees Lillie in her swimwear, which is the color white and it shows her curves well. Lillie is covering herself and she says, "I look really bad..."
Ash quickly kisses her and he says, "No, Lillie. You look perfect for me." This causes her to blush a little and Ash decides to take her into the water, then he starts to spray water at her.
"So you want to play this game, huh?" Lillie says as she starts to spray water at Ash as well. As the two of them are playing, Pikachu and Sylveon are resting at the shore as they notice a sand Pokemon. Pikachu asks Rotom and he says, "Sandygast, the Sand Heap Pokémon. A Ghost and Ground type. Sandygast can control people or Pokémon if they touch its shovel."
Pikachu and Sylveon are terrified as they quickly take a step back, but the Sandygast is curious as it just walks towards them. Out of fear, Pikachu uses Iron Tail on the Pokemon, causing the shovel to fly out of the Pokemon's body into the sand close to Ash and Lillie.
"What's the matter? Pikachu?" Ash is about to pick up the shovel, but Lillie stops him. "No Ash, that is Sandygast's shovel."
"Sandygast?" Ash notices the angry Pokemon trying to attack Pikachu, and he says, "What's the big deal with that Pokemon?"
Rotom says, "It is a Ghost type, if you touch the shovel, you will be controlled by the Pokemon..."
"I don't want another Malamar incident to happen as well..." Lillie says, and Ash decides to take out his own handkerchief, picking the shovel and gives it back to Sandygast, much to the Pokemon's happiness.
"I am sorry if Pikachu scared you." Ash says, and the Sandygast just nods and it decides to join Ash, Ash is delighted as he captures the Pokemon.
After having fun on the beach, the two of them clean themselves up as they decide to head towards the Diglett's Tunnel. They bid farewell to their parents as they go there, and they see Olivia there.
"Hmm? Oh, Ash and Lillie, wasn't it? This cave really is something, y'know? It's overflowing with these Pokémon called Diglett, and they are getting really out of hand. Mediocre Trainers can't even get through!"
"No wonder it has the name." Ash says.
"So, how's your island challenge going? Let me see which crystals you've earned." Olivia says as she looks at Ash's pocket. "Ooh, look at you, Ash and Lillie! Nice work! I see you've even passed Mallow's trial. It's about time you had some fun with me! The Diglett have settled down, too. If you are as strong as you appear, you should be able to make it through this cave."
"I think we are." Lillie says.
"At the other end of it, you'll find Konikoni City. That's where my shop is. I'll see you there!" Olivia then bids farewell to them as they leave the place.
After walking for a while, they decide to train up some Pokemon. They evolve their Spinarak into an Ariados after battling a worker, and then they also evolve their Grubbin as well.
"Charjabug, the Battery Pokémon. A Bug and Electric type, and the evolved form of Grubbin. Charjabug stores electricity and can share it with other Pokémon."
They also train their Bonsly to be able to learn the Mimic, and it evolves into a Sudowoodo. And then they also train up with Surskit and Dewpider, and they evolve into a Masquerain and Araquanid.
"Araquanid, the Water Bubble Pokemon. A Water and Bug type, and the evolved form of Dewpider. It delivers headbutts with the water bubble on its head. Small Pokémon get sucked into the bubble, where they drown."
As they continue exploring, Lillie pales as she sees two Aether Foundation workers. She says, "Ash...they are the bad ones...What should I do?"
Ash says, "Hide in the Reversal World, that way you won't be found."
Lillie nods as she does it, as Ash approaches them, he hears them saying, "Phew...With Olivia in charge, we've finally managed to make some headway against those Diglett."
They notice Ash and they greet him, one worker says, "We're members of the Aether Foundation. We work to support Pokemon conservation."
"It seems like Team Skull was responsible for the Diglett in this cave getting so riled up and bringing them all up to the surface." Another worker says.
"Oh, Team Skull is this group of troublemakers, you see...They seem to delight in interfering with Trainers and their Pokemon."
"Diglett normally live in elaborate systems of underground tunnels that take years to dig out. We're here to ensure that they return to their tunnels and let people pass through here without having to fight so many Pokemon."
"Some of the Diglett are still stuck on or near the surface, though, so be careful!"
"We will." Ash says, and the other worker asks, "And by the way, have you seen a girl with a white dress and a white hat around here?"
Ash knows that they are referring to Lillie, and he says, "No, I didn't."
"It's fine, if you see a person like that, please contact us." The worker says as they leave.
After they are gone, Lillie comes out and she sighs, "At least they didn't see me."
"Yeah." Ash says, "Though they really give us some good information about the Diglett and Team Skull."
But as they continue further, they see Tupp and Rapp again. "Ahh, no way...just when things were startin' to heat up, yo, I got surrounded by Diglett and beat up, yo!" Tupp says.
"Since when can Diglett use Beat Up?!" Rapp asks. "I am so mad that now I want to beat up on some fools!"
"Don't be mad 'cause you were the fools who were dumb enough to be here right now." Tupp says.
"Ash! Lillie!" Hau suddenly comes and he says, "Aue! I was wondering who you were playing around with without me, and it's Team Skull!"
Tupp says, "You want some? That's how we say hello! Nice knowing you, punks!"
Then they decide to battle against them, and their Fomantis and Salandit were defeated by all three of their Pokemon.
"Are we headed to the grave, yo? Will our bones be laid bare, yo?" "The gloom that enfolds us like fog...we can't seem to shake it off."
After they recall their Pokemon, Rapp says, "Yo, step off! Enough with the beating up, yo!"
"We may not be trying to take over the world or nothing, but we're still hard as a bone out here!" After they leave, Hau waves at them and says, "See you on the flip side!"
After that, he turns to Ash and Lillie, "Man, Ash, when I fight with you... It's like even my Pokémon feel more at ease! You really are some kind of Trainer.
"Thanks?" Ash is confused, and he says, "Now I'm gonna go have some more fun with those Diglett! See ya!"
After he leaves, the two of them continue to get out of the cave to the Konikoni City.
Here is a new chapter, and Lillie remembers the memory up to episode 60, which is also the time when she changes her outfit and her hairstyle. I decide to give Ash and Lillie a moment on the beach since some people are asking me to make them imitate each other. The next chapter will be the Konikoni City and some other Pokemon capturing.
