Chapter 29: Rivals Returning
Once the group is finished with the Z Crystals, Ash continues to take the Water Leaders around the area, Ash says, "Here in the area, you can see some dens in the middle of the ocean, that is actually the dens where you can find Dynamax Pokemon."
After explaining what it is to the people who have no idea what Dynamax is, Serena asks, "But it is in the middle of the ocean, how are we going to get to the dens?"
"In Galar, there is something known as a Rotom Bike, you can ride it through the water to reach the dens." Reisa says.
"That really sounds cool. So what are the new Gigantamax of this area?" Professor Oak asks, and Ash says, "First, we have the Starters of Kanto and Galar, Blastoise and this Pokemon."
As Ash sends out a Pokemon, it has been leaning on a tree as it gives them a nod. "What is that Pokemon? It looks like a spy in the movies." Misty says.
"This is Inteleon, the final evolved form of Sobble, a Galarian Starter Pokemon." Ash says. "Its nictitating membranes let it pick out foes' weak points so it can precisely blast them with water that shoots from its fingertips at Mach 3.
Inteleon shoots out the Snipe Shot attack at the water, and the others are in awe. Reisa says, "Blastoise's Gigantamax is capable of learning the move G-Max Cannonade. This move continues to deal damage to opponents for four turns after the attack."
"And Inteleon's Gigantamax is capable of using G-Max Hydrospine. This move can be used on the target regardless of its Abilities." Reshow says.
Gladion has a Blastoise in his party, so with Lillie's help, she manages to give him the Max Soup to make him capable of using Gigantamax.
"As for the others, there is Kingler." Ash says as Misty says, "Speaking of Kingler, I remember that you mostly have him spend in Professor Oak's Lab."
"I know, that is a mistake that I made a lot, but he is capable of using Gigantamax and I am proud of it." Ash says. "It's move, G-Max Foam Burst, harshly lowers the Speed of opponents."
Nessa says, "And I know one more Gigantamax that I used a lot in my gym." She sends out a Drednaw, and Bonnie tries to get close to it, only to be bitten until Max helps him let go.
"That really hurts a lot." Bonnie says.
"Sorry, With jaws that can shear through steel rods, this highly aggressive Pokémon chomps down on its unfortunate prey." Nessa sighs. "But its G-Max move is G-Max Stonesurge, a move which scatters sharp rocks around the field."
"A Water type move that causes Stealth Rocks, you don't see that every day." Merlon says.
"Do you remember the Pokemon I showed you back in the FS Resort?" Ash says as he sends out an Urshifu. Serena says, "You told us that it has two forms, with one being Single Strike, and the other being Rapid Strike."
"But I am not sure which one this is." Max says.
"This is the Rapid Strike, which is Water Type. Its G-Max move actually gives out a Water attack. G-Max Rapid Flow. This rapid-strike move can ignore Max Guard.
"Where can I get one? It looks so awesome." Misty says, and Wallace says, "I heard that it will be easier to find a Kubfu in the FS Resort."
"That's right." Ash says, "As for the final Pokemon with the Gigantamax..."
They turn around and see a red fish swimming by, it has scales like a Magikarp, but steam can be seen showing from its scales.
Warmish: The Warming Pokemon: Water and Fire Type. Careful not to touch this fish's scales, or else you are feeling a burn surging through your body.
"That Pokemon sounds really dangerous." Lana says.
"I know, but when it Gigantamax, it is capable of using G-Max Boiling Hot. This move causes the opponent to burn in the end."
"Just like Scald but powerful." Nessa says, and Dawn decides to capture it because of how cool it is.
Now that they are done exploring the outside of the island, they are heading into the city as they can see a lot of people gathering for the Showcase. Serena says, "This is my second Showcase, and I am not going to lose this one."
"I am sure you'll be doing fine." Ash says, and then they hear a voice, "Serena!"
They turn around and they see a familiar girl rushing towards them. Serena says, "Shauna! It is so good to see you again!"
After the two girls are greeting each other, they also see two more people who are panting and sweating after the run. Bonnie says, "Tierno, Trevor! You are here as well!"
"It is good to see you again, Bonnie." Tierno says. "And to you as well, Serena."
"Is that Ash?" Trevor asks, "Wow, you have changed a lot, I wasn't able to recognize you if I didn't look closer."
"Sorry, a lot of things happened a few months ago." Ash says, "So how long have you been here?"
Shauna says, "I was asked by Aria to come here and check out the showcases. I never thought I would be meeting you here."
"As for Trevor and I, we were trying to take part in the League." Tierno says. "They really are in a different league."
"But we are still capable of having three badges." Trevor says as he shows the badges, Ash says, "Congratulations. I am sure you are capable of entering the League with the strength of yours."
"So Ash, you are the Sevestar Queen?" Shauna asks. "I heard from Aria that you pretended to be a girl and partake the Showcases."
"I am." Ash says. "Thanks to Aria and Grandma, they have been training me."
Misty says with a tease, "Really? You are changing into a girl again? Did you remember what you tried to do in Erika's Gym?"
"About that, they already know since we just met her back in the Greeny City." Ash says while shaking his head. "I mean, it is not a big deal."
Aurora smiles and says, "Since you are here, why don't you show your female form to the others?"
Ash nods and he glows, then his female form appears in front of everyone. Those who didn't see it before are shocked.
"Wow...you look so stunning." Lana says.
"Indeed. Ash. You look like an actual girl." Crasher Wake says.
"Thanks, guys." Ash says. "And I am called Scarlett in this form."
"As much as we want to talk some more, but we have to be quick or else we aren't going to enter this showcase." Serena says as they all rush inside the Showcase Hall.
As Serena and Shauna are competitng in the showcases, the first round is the Quizes, which is similar to the one they had in Anistar City.
"Now the third quiz, according to the URS, which Pokemon is not the Ultra Beast?" Monsieur Pierre asks.
Speeduni uses its speed to grab onto the flag, then Serena says, "The answer is Necrozma!"
"You are correct, which means Performer Serena will be advancing to the free style round!"
Then Ash and the others cheer for her, Shauna also advances into the second round with the help of her Florges.
After the Performance Round is over, Serena has Delphox and Comfey on the stage while Shauna is beside her with a Venusaur and a Delcatty. Both of them are doing great job in their performances, so their scores are almost the same when the audience is voting for them.
"The winner of the showcase is… Performer Serena!" Monsieur Pierre says as everyone starts to cheer for her.
Serena screams in joy and hugs her 2 Pokemon. Shauna is sad that she lost the showcase to her best friend again, but she says, "Congratulations, Serena. You are amazing."
"Thanks, you also did a good job, too!" Serena says.
Once they are outside, Tierno says, "Serena, you really are amazing."
"Thanks, Tierno." Serena says while Shauna tries to pull his ears away from Serena. "Sorry for him being this perverted."
"It is fine..." Ash turns to Trevor, "So are you going to challenge the Oceablu Gym for now? I mean, since you are here."
"We might as well, though we are not sure if we are capable of battling them." Trevor says.
Reisa says, "How about we try it out, since Reshow and I are the gym leaders here, so we can just give you one."
"That will be great." Tierno says as the four of them leave to the gym for their battle.
Ash says, "And since they were doing their gym challenge, why don't we go find our Warrior Task Weapons?"
With the new term, Ash and Lillie are going to explain to those who know nothing about the definition of the Warrior Tasks and the Weapons, and they reach the Energy Room which is located at a sunken ship like the Sea Mauville in the Hoenn Region.
"I never thought that this place would be ideal for the Energy Room..." Professor Oak says.
"This place is capable of holding the energy from the Mystic Water and Splash Plate. So it is a perfect place for the Water Type Warrior Task." Lillie says.
"But what is the weapon in this place?" Dawn asks, and Ash takes out a Cross. Misty says, "I think I know this one since some folktales regarding Possedon or Neptune use the same kind of weapon."
"That is one of the reasons why we use this one as the Weapon for Water Types." Ash says. Aurora takes out 6 Crosses and gives them to Dawn, Cilan, Max, Bonnie, Serena and Gladion, she says, "Here are your weapons, but as usual, you will need to practice them."
"You can use it to do the Rain Dance, just use the Cross and dances around." Lillie says, "And you can also use it to do some other moves such as Water Pulse and Hydro Pump."
As they are trying it out, Bonnie manages to use Bubbles and she starts to play with them, while Serena tries to use Soak, and it causes the others to get wet because how they have become a Water Type, she has to apologize it to the end.
Reisa and Reshow have arrived and they see how wet they are, Reisa asks, "What happened to you all?"
"We accidentally used the move Soak. Don't ask." Dawn says, and the others nod as Reshow says, "Let's go to the gym, we have some shower rooms for you to change your clothes and take a bath."
The others nod as they go head to the gym for a change of clothes.
Here is another chapter. Serena now only needs one more key and she can go to the Master Class, not only that, everything in the Water Type Chapter has been revealed except for some Pokemon and the Gym Battle. I hope you enjoy this chapter and the next one will be the end of Water Type Chapter with the gym battles and the Aquarium.
