And now the end of the story begins! 5 last chapters of Avatar Book 4 Time, the invasion from Shaina's forces to Agni starts, will the city that once was the capital of an invading force, turn into the last hope of the world, or it will fall against the new enemy? Time to find out!

Chapter 29: The Final Invasion part 1: The Resistance
Time was running out really fast and everyone was getting ready for the final battle, the white lotus training on Pian Dao's dojo, Jin and Toph alongside the Earth Rumble participants and Toph's metal bending students and even some soldiers from the earth kingdom were creating the escape routes on the entirety of Agni
-Come on Jin, ready to rise up a mountain?!- both Toph and her student would make a strong stand position
-Whenever you are, master!
-Everyone, with all your strength!
It was an entrance almost as big as the entire crater
And while that, Zuko and Azula had to regulate their lightning by their own, doing it on a pond filled with mud, putting their hands on it
-Come on…- Zuko felt his lightning being reduced -We are doing it fine.
-But not enough- Azula sighed -Well, time to go to the next activity.
As they shook their hands, Zuko asked -Ready for this? - Azula nodded -Remember to let the energy flow on your stomach and then to flow it on your other hand, but you have to be mentally ready.
As that Zuko prepared his own lightning, Azula started to breath, extending her two arms, finally her brother shot, it was really difficult to manage it as the thunder didn't want to go through her body so easily, but somehow she managed to do it, the lightning was shot on her other hand, but with her putting her knees on the ground and gasping really heavily, Zuko went to help her
-It is a nightmare; how did you manage to do this?

And on the shore, with So Ren and Ty Lee practicing with their bending, Katara was talking with Aang while mimicking moves with their hands, he would ask

And the two stopped for a second -Aang, you're training Ty Lee and his father to become air benders at the same time, besides, you're trying to do it on a complete body, maybe you should start with something little.

-Finally, after so much fight and resistance, the final victory is on our hands, Raion, all the people who cared for me on my time, this is for you.
Milly and Ozai approached to her
-With the black sun on Agni, the entirety of the fire benders that we have will not be able to use their element- Ozai said
-Thankfully they aren't our main force and we have enough weapons to defend yourselves- the avatar said -So Milly, we start the invasion before or while the black sun is on?
-We have to arrive at least 30 minutes before and then take advantage of the black sun to get rid of the enemy fire benders- Milly was really anxious -I cannot believe that we are one fight ahead of achieving the global domination, it feels so surreal now.
-Once we finish and I get rid of my objectives everything will be for the people, for those who fought the most.
Something that of course caught Ozai off guard again -Power for the people- Shaina nodded –Chaos will rise on this world.
-Chaos… that will depend if the people like the idea or not, their decision to have emperors after this war will depend only on them- then she turned her face to look at Milly -That everyone gets ready, and prepare our special soldier.
-Of course… ummmm…
-What?- Shaina asked
-Well, I can't hide this, I'm absolutely nervous of what is going to happen, even if the advantage is on our side, what if we lose?
-We won't- the avatar said -I make a promise Milly, once the war is over, we will celebrate together the final victory, you deserve it the most my friend.
-Friend?- Shaina nodded and extended a punch -Of course!
Milly corresponded and went inside the ship, Ozai just baffled -Ties.

-Absolutely, but I won't discuse that with you, besides, how is that you're so powerful yet you have a human side?
-There is nothing bad with it- Shaina answered -The spirits abandoned me, so I can only take care of the humans.
-Spirits… even the other avatars?- He asked -I know about the avatar state because of stories that I heard.
-I'm unable to activate it, the spirits won't let me and I was never on the situation to require it, No problem, I have the armor alongside me, that gives me the power that I need.
-So, you just want anarchy because of what just happened in the future? - Ozai just baffled
-Anarchy… if that's the word to describe freedom of people, so be it.
Maybe that was her idea but not applied on the most positive way, and that was something that everyone on the fire nation, especially on Agni that would be the core of the invasion was expecting, Zuko was looking at the horizon from the balcony of his palace, with the entirety of the Gaang, of course aside of Sokka, being behind him
-Once we spot something on the horizon the defensive protocol must start- and he looked at the moon -Is going to be soon.
5 guards approached to him -My lord, the soldiers are ready to evacuate the citizens on the safety points that are around the city as you asked, with the emergency ships ready for any inconvenience.
-Perfect.
-The bunker is also ready for you to stay safe during the invasion- another guard said
-What, bunker? - he asked after finally turning his attention to the soldiers -Why?
-It was the protocol with every fire lord, if an enemy tries to invade, the fire lord must remain safe on his special bunker- explained another soldier, but then the group was surprised after seeing Zuko denying that -But Fire lord?
-No, I'm not defenseless, soldiers, as I'm a skilled swordsman too, with my girlfriend's help we are going to lead the defense of this city, a leader must fight alongside his soldiers, not to stay quietly watching how everyone is sacrificing their lives.
That made everyone smile, even Azula remembered the first invasion they suffered on an eclipse, shaken by those words, the soldiers put knee on the floor making a reverence
-It will be such an honor to fight at your side, fire lord Zuko! - the guards said at the same time
He smiled, but then Aang noticed something -On the horizon, they're approaching.
As that, the entire group looked on the balcony, it was a weak line, but was starting to get shape, lots of points on a huge line
-My god they are lots of ships- Ty Lee said
-They're attacking with the entirety of their fleet and army- Katara added -Sokka, hopefully after this I can find you.
-Time has come- Zuko then started to give orders -Call the white lotus and start the evacuation, now!
Everyone on the city was starting to move, around Agni 10 bunkers with escape routes were ready, at the other side of the island another shipyard was ready, while that was happening, Zuko and Aang were using their flying companions to check the entirety of the city, just for them to realize something on the other side of the island
-They're coming from the other side too! - Aang screamed
-Goddamit, they must have at least 100 ships at their disposal- Zuko said – the main force is at the front but if they manage to infiltrate from the other side using the escape routes…
-They won't- Aang said -we need to divide our forces, to fight them as much as possible.
-As much as possible? - Aang nodded at Zuko's question -If we do that that would mean that you will fight Shaina and my sister will fight Ozai, the two alone.
But Aang smiled -I have confidence on the power of all of you, besides, if we manage to resist until the eclipse ends, the fire nation could go all out to fight back, don't you think.
Zuko smiled -Yeah, having confidence will be ideal.
The resistance soldiers were ready, even some waiting at underground level, also hidden in the walls of the shipyard, both Toph and Jin were alongside them as the first defensive line so no one would enter, and on the towers, lots of fire and earth benders were ready to launch rocks
Katara and Ty Lee were alongside the second line, who was composed of all the machines and beasts that the fire nation had, being also used by the reinforcements gathered from all nations
-I can't believe how everything feels- Katara said
-There is electricity on the air, it feels surreal- Ty lee added
Inside of the city, the royal siblings were helping the people to evacuate, leaving the White Lotus alongside some soldiers to watch the back of the capital city, Hakoda and Pian Dao in front of them all, So Ren, Hama, Huu, Jeong Jeong and Yu behind them, as the ships coming frome the other side were approaching, the water tribe chief started to talk
-The time for the battle has come, destiny wanted it to be this way, all nations against all nations, a new enemy that changed our destinies, and now those are joined- Pian Dao looked at his team mated behind them –Air, Water, Earth, Fire, and all the warriors from all corners in this world has gathered here, on this very place that once was the synonym of despair, now it is for hope.
But it was on the Azulon's Shipyard in which the main enemy force was coming, as they were getting outside of their ships, were also ready for a surprise attack, at least of how they were looking everywhere, Shaina stopped
-Please…- gave a little step, she knew it all after that -Soldiers, step back!
And begun, Toph gave the order -Now!
A massive attack from the underground, not in time to hit a good amount of soldiers, in fact the enemy was barely affected, and then using their own fire benders, they counter attacked, Toph and Jin protected the defenders with their own earth walls, then Jin gave order
-Towers!
Fire shot from those places, and also missiles, the invaders used shields and earthbenders walls in order to protect themselves from the attack, Shaina was a little frustrated because of that start, but then looked at the sky, the eclipse was near
-We have probably less than 10 minutes before the start… Ozai, take some soldiers and get rid of the tower attackers.
It was their turn with the goat gorillas and the rhinos, both of them with special armors, to take the towers down
-It was getting a little boring- the second wave of invaders came outside, the soldiers were also wearing black armor -Earthbenders destroy the towers that I and the waterbenders don't attack, understood?
-Yes sir!
Outside with Shaina resisting the attacks coming from the resistance's earthbenders, noticed who was leading them
-Tsk, you again…
Toph smiled -Round 3 I suppose?
But Shaina had a better idea, looking at the sky -No time for that, Milly, come!
As fast as she could, the commander stepped in front -Which is the plan?
-Lead the invasion, from now I will change the game.

The avatar started to fly, Jin tried to catch her with a flying rock but Shaina destroyed it with a kick
-Dammit!- if it wasn't for Toph, a giant chain could have hit Jin on the head, but a rock blocked the attack -Thanks sifu.
Toph setepped in front of her -Take some soldiers and protect the towers, now.
-What, but you…?
-Look who is attacking.
Jin looked at him at the distance, getting inside of a tower, Ozai was dispatching the soldiers inside, judging of what was heard
-My father in law, do you think…
-You don't have a chance, but pay attention to the sky.
Jin nodded and with a hand gesture took some soldiers in order to defend the towers, as soon as they were upside, a brawl between benders started there too, Jin went as fast as she could to intercept the former fire lord, who didn't hesitate on shooting fire to her, Jin covered with a wall
-Whoa, I've heard bad things from your children, but attacking like that, you're worse than what I've though.
-My children you say?
-Yeah well, you're witnessing the future fire lady- Jin said with a smile
-An earthbender as the fire lady… what a shame…- but Ozai looked at the sky, time was running out -Well I can spare with you, but first.
He threw a gigantic fire ball against one of the towers, destroying it and the structure started to fall against the defenders, some were unable to protect themselves or escape, and to Jin's horror, that gave a chance for some invaders to surpass the first line of defense
Clinching her teeth, Jin stepped on guard and threw a huge rock against her enemy, who destroyed it with his own power
-Oh please, this is not going to be easy…
Toph looking to all of this, wanted to help Jin -Maybe I had to go…- but Milly proved to be a fierce warrior, by almost hitting Toph on the head with her chains, and then being able to cut a little of her stomach with her spear -Get out of here!
Milly avoided the column coming from the ground -In fact, I'm planning that, just after I beat you.
-Don't mess with the strongest earthbender in the world.
On that moment Milly smiled, and gave order -Send the tanks!
-No!
While not numerous, 10 tanks originally from the fire nation came outside of the ships, and started to shot rocks covered in fire to the resistance, Toph was astonished, and the distraction costed her a huge chain whip attack to the bod, sending her to a wall, Milly was smiling, it was just a matter of time before they can enter to the city

On the road to agni, alongside the majority of the weapon-based soldiers and some tanks, Katara looked everything, from Shaina flying inside the city, to the enemy soldiers coming from the front, she and some waterbenders were leading the defense
-Ok is our turn, let's give it our all!
While the arrows proved to be innefective, not the tanks, in that sense it was the speed that was needed in order to avoid the attacks, but the water benders managed to block them almost on their entirety, those who surpassed all of those blockages were being outnumbered
-This is pretty easy… in fact, very easy…
It was on that moment that Katara noticed a huge group of soldiers using their animals, by carring gigantic bowl filled with water…
-Oh no, please not them.
And behind them, a group of armored water benders joined the attack, being more fierce, balanced the battlefield and even some were able to surround the defensive line
Katara started to think, she needed backup, and the numbers were not helping -Ty Lee!
The sisters came out of the plants to ambush the water benders with kicks to them all, but Ty Lee concentrated on destroying the bowls with her newly acquired air bending, still when a soldier came behind her, she punched him so hard that make him unconscious, despite hurting her hand
-Ouch, that is gonna leave a mark- she said, before shooting an air barrage against another enemy -Katara, did any enemy trespassed.
-Just a few but, I don't think that we will be able to contain them all from here- Using the water, Katara formed an ice wall -And Shaina went inside the city.
They knew that it would mean one thing, but before saying anything, an explosion that destroyed the whole wall, then they witnessed 2 tanks coming, and alongside them warrior with fans on their hands, despite the armor that they now used, Ty Lee recognized them
-The kyoshi warriors were turned into monsters…- Then she closed her eyes -Suki, I'm so sorry of what happened to you, but I promise that I will get them back…
One of her sisters though, gave her an alarming advice -Ty Lee, those armors are covering all of their pressure points, there is no way to stop them with out hits!
Katara then knew it, Ty Lee just opened her mouth, the water bender approached to her -that means that we have no choice but to hurt them…
-Shaina…
…
But on the city, as Zuko noticed the invader avatar flying on Agni, while he was evacuating the citizens alongside Azula and their soldiers, he knew that it would mean one thing
-Please Aang, you're our hope…
Shaina stopped to remove her helmet, in front of her, the flying bison who was using his old fire nation armor, approached to her and on his loin, the avatar himself, Aang was looking at Shaina, just with one idea on mind
-I want to ask you one thing, let's move our fight when no one can get hurt, please.
Looking at the city, how everyone was escaping, Shaina sighed -You guide.
Appa flew again outside of Agni, with Shaina following him, whatever could happen now, it would determine the fate of the entire world, moments after starting to fly
There it was, the place in which he took the whole training, alongside Toph, alongside Katara, and he trained Ty Lee on that place, it was perfect for their fight, once landing, Aang touched Appa on the head
-Go and help friend, I will be fine- licking his partner on the head, the bison left the place, then Aang looked at Shaina -I don't know If I will be able to ask you some questions before fighting, it had no use against Ozai.
-What do you want?
-To know exactly why you're doing this, you want revenge against me, apparently because of what happened in the future, and you talked about my people so…
-It is exactly what you heard, the airbenders from my timeline, alongside the fire nation destroyed my home city, I was born as a fire bender, but moved, then time later they joined forces to destroy them.
-What, and am I or any of my friends guilty of what happens on the future?!
-Not exactly, but killing you all can prevent the destruction of Raion, I'm doing this for the only people thar cared for me.
-Enough to send you alone here- That line produced an uncomfortable silence -Shaina, stop all of this right now, you have the power to do this, we don't have to kill each other.
-I know, but I have gone to far to stop here, besides, destroying your system will set mankind free.
-What are you talking about? Set them free? Do you have any idea of what you're talking about, who are we, and how much we care of this people.
-Lies! If you truly care, then you wouldn't have escaped from your home on the first place, you're a coward…
-Like you… instead on fighting on your own timeline, took the easy path and went to a place in which you have the advantage to fight- that was hard coming from someone like Aang -I'm asking you one last time, stop the invasion, go back home so we can rebuild what you have done here.
-Not doing it- Shaina took her helmet and put it back, on the very moment that the black sun appeared -I don't have both my fire and lightning now, but you neither, the battle from now will turn pretty interesting.
Aang took the staff from his back and went on guard -I'm sorry that it had to turn this way, but I hope to put you in your senses
-Senses you say… je… what I'm going to do is to rip your head off.
And both clashed, hopefully for the world, the final battle between the two avatars ends without a disaster
