Yo, everyone! Sora Sentry here with the first part of the Season Finale! This chapter came out far longer than intended, you see I wasn't planning to write the filler chapter at all, but I couldn't really do it as it's the movie's setup, then I tried to resume it, but when I did I end up writing the whole episode and became add up with the first half of the movie, which was already long to make. Please enjoy this LONG chapter and look forward for part 2! Although I have to inform you that it might take awhile as it's action-oriented and you know those take me a time to figure out, thank in advance for your understanding.
May your hearts be your guiding keys and go beyond plus ultra!
Two Heroes, Part 1: I-Island Shenanigans.
Class 1-A were now on summer break, however they wouldn't go to the training camp until the last week of july, so they have three weeks off at the moment.
At U.A. High School.
All Might entered the teacher's room alongside Cloud. The skeleton-like man coughed before greeting his fellow teachers. "Good morning." He greeted his fellow teachers.
"Morning." Cloud did the same with a plain tone.
"Good morning." Cementoss greeted them, he stood alongside Midnight.
"There's a special about you on TV." Midnight said to All Might as she pointed at the TV.
"About me?" The No.1 Hero asked as he and his otherworldly friend approached and watched at the screen.
"How did the Symbol of Peace, All Might, become the No.1 Hero? To know it, we'll look at his time studying in the United States." The TV show recordings of the first ever appearance of All Might during his youth, back then he already had his iconic line: I am Here!
"What memories." All Might commented with nostalgia.
"Heh. You barely changed at all." Cloud said to him with a noticeable smirk.
"How long ago was that?" Midnight asked and suddenly All Might started coughing. She and Cementoss glanced at him awkwardly while the SOLDIER just deadpanned at him. "You hide your age by coughing? Are you a woman?" The R-rated Heroine thought.
"I'm sure that was at least 2 decades ago." Cloud said to his other two fellow teachers still deadpanning. Toshinori flinched slightly at hearing that.
"Anyway. That's the costume from your youth period, right?" Cementoss glanced back at the TV with a happy smile.
"Yes…" All Might replied as he and the others looked back at the TV.
"You know a lot." Midnight commented to the cement Hero with a smile.
"Of course. I've been All Might's fan since I was little." Cementoss replied happily as the TV show recorded images of All Might in his first Hero costume.
"Who said adults can't be otakus?" Cloud commented casually.
"As expected from the Symbol of Peace." Midnight commented to All Might with a smile, then suddenly he puffed into his muscled form.
"It's nothing!" All Might said in one of his classic poses.
"He says it with a lot of confidence!" Midnight thought.
"Typical Toshinori…" Cloud deadpanned at him again, he's used to his antics.
"While aboard, the sidekick that supported him was the young David Shield." The TV now showed images of the younger All Might working with the younger David Shield during his time at the United States.
"Dave." Cloud muttered, his eyes light up slightly when seeing this.
"He's talking about the famous Professor Shield?" Midnight questioned.
"A nail brings out another only if they are of the same level." Cementoss nodded. The TV kept showing images of David and All Might working in their youth before showing the image of a more recent newspaper article about the professor.
"Dave… How nostalgic." All Might wore a smile with a glint in his sunken eyes.
"Man. It's been a while since I last talked to Dave and Melissa, maybe Toshinori and I should give them a call later." Cloud thought with a tiny smile on his face. He actually missed the people that looked after him ever since he came to be in this world.
All Might then heard the receiver tone of his email box, which played: ''An email is here!'' twice, he would have to go check it while Cloud would make a snarky comment of his choice for personal tones were it not for Aizawa coming in.
"It's time for the special class." The Eraser Hero informed his co-workers.
"So soon?" Midnight asked surprised
"Let's finish the preparations." Cementoss said.
"Very well, let's train the young ones." All Might declared, deciding to check the email later.
U.A. has a special class for those who wish to train during vacations. And today was the first day for that special class.
At Class 1-A's classroom.
"We'll do this several times with few students. This time it's the 8 of you." Aizawa announced to the group of 8 students in the classroom, consisting of Sora, Riku, Deku, Kacchan, Shouto, Ochako, Tenya and Tsuyu. Curiously enough each were seated in their respective seat, even if the rest of the seats were empty.
"You have known that it'll be harder than a normal class. Get ready." Cloud informed the group of teens, the SOLDIER stood beside the homeroom teacher.
"What will we do?" Tsuyu asked herself.
"If we fail, they'll threaten us with expulsion?" Izuku asked himself.
"I know it's extra training, but I wonder if this will count as extra credit if we succeed." Sora wondered. He does very well in school, but it never hurts to score extra credit, right?
"What you will do in this class is facing and capturing a hypothetical Villain." Aizawa announced to his students. Bakugou's face lit up a little when hearing this.
"It's really a Hero class!" Sora, Deku and Ochako shouted excitedly at the same time. It only took a glare from the teachers to shut them up immediately.
"It should be obvious, but Villains do many types of crimes. You'll go to a crime scene and determine what happened. If it was a Villain or not and if you should fight them or not and you'll train your ability to determine a situation and how to resolve it." Shouta informed his students about the special class of today. Sora, Riku, Deku, Ochako and even Kacchan smiled excited about it. "Your instructors will be-" Aizawa was about to explain, but he was suddenly cut off by the sound of the backdoor of the classroom being opened up suddenly.
"Here I am entering through the backdoor!" And there stood All Might in the back of the classroom making one of his iconic poses. The teens looked at him in surprise.
"All Might!" Both Sora and Deku said excitedly in unison. Riku, Shouto and Kacchan just looked surprised.
"You're very muscled today!" Ochako also said, wearing an excited grin. Tenya and Tsuyu seemed pleasantly surprised. The legendary Hero started to laugh.
Cloud just glanced at him with a deadpan. "Typical Toshinori, always making up either over the top or ridiculous entrances." He knows how much his friend seems to make his rather comedic entrances everytime he can. He knows him too well for the short time he has come to know him, it seems.
"It's not just All Might. Cementoss, Midnight and Present Mic will also participate." Aizawa informed, unfazed with All Might's sudden entrance. Cementoss, Midnight and Present Mic were in the classroom, it should also be noted that when Shouta mentioned her name, Midnight winked at the teens.
"All right, let's start the training. Go to Ground Beta." Cloud ordered the students.
After changing into their Hero costumes, the group of students went to Ground Beta. Right now they were standing in an alleyway.
"I see cardboard figures of police officers." Izuku said as he and Sora peaked their heads though the corner, then came Tsuyu's, Ochako's, and lastly Tenya's.
"That must be where the crime is." Tenya commented.
"I'll tell you the scene's situation." The students turned to look at his homeroom teacher, Cloud was beside him with his hands in his pockets. "It's a Villain attack at the jewelry store The employees and clients are hostages and they're barricaded inside. The amount of Villains and hostages is unknown. The police requested Pro Heroes to resolve the incident." Aizawa explained the current situation.
"Aizawa-sensei! Strife-sensei!" Then Tenya raised his left arm up. "The teachers will play as hostages and Villa-?" He tried to ask, but Cloud cut him off.
"We won't reply to your questions." The SOLDIER said bluntly. "Verify the situation and resolve the case." He ordered the students.
"Hai!" Sora, Deku, Ochako and Tenya said at the same time in unison.
"All right, let's start the training." Aizawa announced and then a horn played, indicating the start of the training.
Sora, Deku, Tsuyu, Ochako and Tenya peaked their heads through the corner again. "Let's see, what do we do?" Tenya asked his companions.
"First we must see how many Villains and hostages there are." Deku said to his friends.
Kacchan was scratching his head before looking at his classmates. "Uraraka, you go."He told the gravity girl.
"On my own?" She asked.
"If all of us go, the Villains will spot us." Bakugou explained. "You can enter through that window." He pointed out the point of entrance Uraraka can reach. It was a little odd seeing Kacchan not being overly rude or loud in this instance.
"Can't believe I'm saying this, but… You're right, Kacchan." Riku said to him with his hands in his pockets. The explosive blond just scoffed at him. "If we distract the Villains, Ochako should be able to float to that window unseen." The Silver Keyblade Master explained to his friends.
"Sounds good, Riku." Shouto said to him. "Uraraka, get ready. I'll make a call to distract them." He said to her.
"Alright." Ochako nodded in response.
Shouto then pulled out a phone and typed the number to call inside the jewelry.
"Who is it? The police?" The icy hot teen heard All Might's voice on the other end.
"All Might's playing as the Villain." Shouto informed his companions.
"This again, huh?" Sora commented as he scratched the back of his head. (For those who don't know, there was an OVA set after Season 1 where All Might played as the Villain. Assume that happened in this story off-screen, I wasn't feeling like making it.)
Shouto put the phone back on his ear. "I'm a Pro Hero. You're the criminal, aren't you?" He said calmly.
"I don't know." He heard All Might replied with his best villain impression.
"Indica the Villains with the right and the hostages with the left." Deku whispered at Ochako, showing her what to do with her hands.
"Understood." She nodded in understanding before turning around.
"Release the hostages. Tell me your demands." Shouto said to the 'Villain' keeping his serene tone. Meanwhile Ochako took a deep breath, puffing up her cheeks and then using her Zero Gravity Quirk on herself to null her weight and start to float.
"Just one. That the police and the Heroes get out of here." All Might replied. Meanwhile Ochako was pushed gently by Deku, sending her floating towards her target and successfully reaching it without complications. "If you don't follow my demands, the hostages will be wounded." The false Villain threatened. Ochako looked through the window and saw All Might playing as the sole Villain while Midnight, Present Mic and Cementoss were playing the hostages, being tied up and muzzled up.
"Alright. But first, tell me about the hostages. Are there any injured?" Shouto asked.
"They will be the longer you take! Hurry up and begone!" All Might demanded.
From her vantage point, Ochako turned to look at her companions. She raised one finger on her right hand and three on the left one.
"One Villain, three hostages." Izuku whispered to his classmates. Shouto had ended the call.
"Uraraka-kun, wait there!" Tenya whispered to her while making hand gestures. Ochako did a gesture in response, indicating she understood.
"Hide!" Sora ordered his friends and they moved backwards into the alleyway.
"It's All Mi- I mean, the Villain." Deku spotted All Might standing at the door of the store.
"He's checking if we left." Shouto said to his classmates.
"Hide well. If he sees us, the hostages will be in danger." Tsuyu said to her friends. Meanwhile Katsuki sat on the ground, resting his chin on his left hand, he was tapping his pinky finger impatiently.
"What do we do? Shall we surround them from the back?" Tenya asked.
"This is your first decision. You'll try to call the Villain again? O…?" Aizawa thought as he and Cloud watched silently as the training developed.
It was then Katsuki yelled as he raised his hand up. "This is stupid!" He shouted in clear impatience as he stood up, taking his classmates by surprise.
"Kacchan?!" Izuku looked surprised.
"Bakugou-kun, don't tell me…?!" Tenya looked surprised as well, he figured what the explosive teen planned
"Will you go head in?" Shouto realized as well.
"You can't be serious." Riku scowled at him.
"Of course I am!" Katsuki replied. "Sora, you with me!" He glanced at the Keyblader.
"Huh?" The spiky brunette blinked in confusion.
"While we shot blasts at the stupid Villain, you save the hostages or something!" Katsuki said harshly at his classmates as he walked past them.
"Wait, Kacchan. I don't think it's a good idea." Sora told him with concern.
"He's right. You're very impulsive." Tsuyu agreed with him.
"What are you saying? It's our chance while he's at the window!" It was then that Bakugou propelled himself with his explosion, dashing out of the alleyway and towards the store.
"Dang it! Wait, Kacchan!" Sora jumped after him.
"I knew it would end like this." Shouta said to Cloud unsurprised.
"Yep." Cloud replied unsurprised as well.
"No subtlety then!" Riku dashed out of the alleway as well.
"Now we can only go." Tenya said as he and everyone else ran towards the store.
"Y-yeah!" Izuku replied.
"I'm sorry, but the training is not for you to fight." Aizawa thought as he and Cloud watched the students go at it.
"The Villain's gone…!" Izuku saw that All Might was not at the front of the store anymore.
"You won't go for the hostages!" Katsuki then dived at the store and unleashed an explosion that completely shattered the glass door!
"No! Quickly!" Tenya shouted as he and the others hurried.
As the smoke faded there stood Katsuki speechless, a second later Sora came in beside him and was also shocked to see what happened. Then the others came inside the store and were also shocked at the scene in front of them.
"Why…?" It was the only thing that Sora uttered.
"Well…" Cloud said as he and Shouta stood right outside of the store. Inside the store the teens looked at a chilling scene: The 'Villain' laying on the ground, a flesh wound on his chest and blood on the floor, as well as a bloodied knife... "This is where the real special class starts." He concluded as the simple case of roberry and hostage situation turned into a murder mystery.
"It'll be interesting to see how they deal with this." Shouta replied to his younger co-worker.
"The Villain is dead…" Izuku said to his friends.
Tsuyu then approached the 'corpse' of the 'Villain'. She crouched beside him and tickled his nose with the tied up end of her hair, she saw that All Might moved slightly and laughed really softly. "He's really not, but it seems he's supposed to be." She explained to her friends, meaning it was all part of the training.
Ochako then dropped in from above, landing beside Deku. "He died because of Bakugou-kun's explosion?" She asked.
"It wasn't that strong!" Katsuki replied defensively. "And weren't you looking from up there?!" He then asked her.
"I couldn't see anything because of the smoke from the explosion." Ochako replied.
"Nice work, TNT Brain." Riku scowled at him.
"See? Told ya it was a bad idea, Kacchan!" Sora also frowned at him upset. Bakugou growled pissed off at them before looking to the side.
Shouto then glanced at the floor. "The muder weapon is the knife." He said looking at the bloodied knife.
"The scene should have been surrounded by the police, so if we assume that no one came in nor out... " Tenya began after analysing the situation. "The one that killed the Villain must be among the hostages." He declared as everyone looked at the 'hostages'.
"Wait, Iida-kun. It's too soon to tell." Deku said to him.
"He's right, besides all of them are tied up and gagged. How did any of them do it?" Sora asked as he pointed out that fact.
"You have a point, but even so we must look into everything before coming to a conclusion of what happened." Riku replied to him with his arms crossed.
"Yeah, first we must listen to what they have to say." Deku nodded in agreement before he looked back at the 'murdered Villain'
"Yes. We must know what happened here." Tsuyu agreed with him.
The group then untied the 'hostages' and started interrogating them.
"I'm an employee of the jewelry store. The Villain suddenly threatened me, and as soon as I gave him the jewels, he tied me up with a rope." Cementoss, playing as the jewelry employee, explained.
"I came to buy accesories, but when I came in, there was a Villain and he trapped me before I could do anything." Midnight, playing as an employee from an advertisement agency, explained.
"I came for that, yo, a wedding ring, yo, for my girl and the Villain came up! He hit me with a lariat and left me out cold, yo!" Present Mic, playing as a musician, said in a sing-song manner, even making exaggerated movements.
"When the Villain apparead, you were already inside the store?" Shouto asked him. Sora and Ochako glanced at him oddly.
"Yes, that's right." Cementoss replied for him. "He left him unconscious and he didn't wake up for a while." He added.
"When you came in, were they already here?" Shouto then asked Midnight.
"I didn't see well when I entered, but when I was tied up, I saw that he had already left them in different parts of the store." She explained.
Shouto hummed as he cupped his chin. "There's nothing that doesn't add up." He said, not finding anything out of place there.
"Excuse me, can we see your wallets?" Izuku asked Midnight and Present Mic. Then he and Ochako checked the contents of their wallets. "How does Midnight's look?" He asked the round faced girl.
"There are many credit cards." Ochako replied.
"Present Mic's is also full." Izuku said. "Both have enough money to buy things." He added.
"Yes." Ochako agreed.
"They killed the Villain! The culprit is one of them!" Katsuki shouted stomping towards the 'civilians'.
"And the motive?" Shouto asked him.
"Hah!? The stolen jewels, of course!" Kacchan shouted at him in the face, as it was something obvious.
"Doubt it. Like I said, they all were tied up and I don't think that in the few seconds before we came in one of them broke free, killed the Villain and then tied themselves back up again." Sora pointed out calmly.
"Besides, there weren't signs of struggle. Whatever happened to the Villain, must have been very swift and brief, extremely brief." Riku added in an analytical manner.
"And even if it is like that, wouldn't it be imprudent to kill him here? They would be obvious suspects." Tsuyu pointed out.
"Besides, the Villain had the jewels No one took them." Shouto looked back at the explosive teen, who was only looking more angry.
"If the motive wasn't the robbery, then…" Tsuyu began.
"An inner conflict?" Ochako concluded.
"If there were two Villains and in the attack they argued about how to divide them… As revenge…" Deku analyzed with his arms crossed.
"In that case, the hostages should have listened to their conversation." Tsuyu pointed out before the three of them looked back at the 'hostages'.
"I didn't hear anything, yo!" Present Mic said, always loudly and over the top.
"Me neither." Cementoss said.
"Nor I." Midnight also said.
"Was the Villain alone?" Shouto asked them. Bakugou had an angry frown.
"Yes." Cementoss replied.
Then Tenya came out through the door at the back of the store. "I checked every corner, but there's no back exit and the windows weren't open. No doubt that the Villain acted alone." Tenya informed his companions.
"Then, the culprit must be here." Ochako said as she looked back at the 'hostages'.
"I didn't do it!" Midnight said.
"Me neither." Cementoss said.
"It wasn't me, yo! I swear it, yo!" Present Mic shouted loudly.
"They didn't find definitive evidence of who is the killer. This is their second option." Aizawa thought as he and Cloud observed from the outside of the store.
"Wouldn't it be better to tell everything to the police and let them take care of it?" Tsuyu suggested.
"You're right." Tenya agreed with her.
"Yeah. It's a dead end, guys. I think it's the only thing we can actually do." Sora agreed as well as he crossed his arms.
"It's frustrating. We know the culprit is here." Ochako said. Deku and Riku, however, didn't say anything, both cupped their chins and seemed to be in deep thought.
"Then..." Katsuki then generated sparks in his right palm, scaring the 'hostages'. "Let's make them confess!" He shouted with a manic smirk.
"Bakugou!" Shouto shouted at him.
"Stop!" Tenya did the same.
"Didn't you learn anything about being impulsive?!" Sora frowned at him.
"If you do that, the police will arrest you." Tsuyu tried to dissuade him.
"I know that!" Kacchan shouted angrily at them. He then noticed that Riku and Deku were in deep thought. He scowled at them before speaking. "Oi, Deku, Edgelord. You both thought something, right?" He knew this was the case.
The greenette and silverette glanced at him. "Yeah, I figure we're thinking the same, right Deku?" Riku looked at his friend and he nodded. "Something isn't right about this whole situation." The Keyblade Master then glanced at the rest of his classmates.
"What is it?" Shouto asked.
"Robberies like this are supposed to be extremely brief, something in matter of a few minutes, in and out. However, it turned into a hostage situation, which would be unlikely for a simple score." Riku began his explanation.
"He's right, don't you wonder why the Villain locked himself up in the store? Isn't it weird? If he was after the jewels, he should have escaped as soon as he took them. Why?" Izuku continued. He and Riku questioned how exactly the situation took place.
"It's because while I put the jewels in the bag as he ordered it, the police arrived." Cementoss explained.
"You called them?" Ochako asked him.
"It wasn't me." Cementoss replied, shaking his head in denial.
"Someone from outside must have seen it and called the police." Tenya deduced.
"That's right." Riku nodded at him. "If that's the case then…" He continued.
"The one that called them was Midnight, right?" Deku picked up the line as he glanced at said woman.
"Me…?" Midnight replied with a surprised expression.
"You were the only one that entered after the Villain." Deku explained.
"Agree, it's the only likely explanation." Riku said as he crossed his arms.
"Wait, you two." Tenya said to both Izuku and Riku.
"Idiots, don't make it worse." Katsuki scowled at them. "Why would the one that called would come in and let herself be caught?" He questioned angrily.
"Because… Because I believe that she's the reason for the Villain to lock up." Deku declared.
"You knew him from before, didn't you?" Riku said to Midnight sternly. The woman glanced down with a mortified expression. '
"You also knew that he committed a crime. Knowing that he would rob a jewelry store, you called the police when he attacked. And before they arrived, you came in on your own. The Villain was surprised that he was met with an acquaintance, but he understood your real intention. Even so, the Villain continued with the robbery and tied you up. When he did, the police arrived and he was forced to barricade." Deku then explained what he and Riku believed happened.
"W-why would I have to do something like that?" Midnight asked the boys.
"Wasn't it because you wanted to stop the Villain?" Riku asked back at her. The woman looked surprised and looked to the side without replying.
"It didn't matter how much you tried to stop him, you couldn't make it. That's why, you acted in a way so the police would catch him." Deku once again explained what he and Riku thought happened.
"Wait, Deku-kun." Ochako said to him. "Even if everything happened as you said, why did they kill the Villain?" She asked.
"She just wanted to stop him, right?" Shouto said to him as well.
"Yes, that's right. She didn't have reasons to kill him." Tenya pointed out.
"That's right, she didn't." Riku said to his friends. Sora, Ochako and Tenya seemed confused.
"That's why the culprit…" Izuku and Riku turned around to look at their friends. "Isn't among them." The greenette concluded.
"What?" Tenya shouted.
"What are you guys talking about?" Ochako asked.
"You guys lost me." Sora rubbed the back of his head with a confused face.
"You shouldn't, Sora." Deku said to him. "You said it yourself, it's unlikely that any of them did it since they were tied and how fast it happened." He added.
"Obviously there could have been ways in which it could have happened and made it seem like they didn't move, but given the circumstances, it all points that none of them did it. That only leads to one likely possibility" Riku explained.
Sora gasped and the others seemed to know where the duo was going. "You're saying that…?" Sora's voice drifted off.
"Yeah." Riku nodded. "The Villain… committed suicide…" He declared. He and Deku then turned around to face Midnight again.
"Knowing Midnight's intentions, he still tried to escape. But as we, Pro Heroes, arrived…" Deku began his explanation.
"He resigned and suicided?" Tenya assumed as he cupped his chin.
"No." Deku denied. "This is what he was thinking: 'If they catch me, they'll expose my relationship with Midnight. If that happens, there will be a shadow over her, her whole life'." He explained as he and Riku looked at the 'corpse'. Tears started to well up in Midnight's eyes. The duo looked at her with sympathy.
"That's why the Villain… silenced himself with his own hands. Midnight didn't tell us the truth because she knew what he was thinking when he took his own life for her." Riku followed up the explanation. Then Midnight broke down into tears.
"That's why she didn't say anything." Deku concluded.
"Deku-kun, Midnight and the Villain…?" Ochako asked him. The emerald teen nodded in response.
"How sad. Midnight wanted to save the Villain because she loved him." Tsuyu said, sounding slightly sad, she even had small tears in her eyes.
"And the Villain wanted to save Midnight because he loved her." Tenya said, glancing down.
"That it ended like this…" Shouto lowered his head. "How ironic."
"Yeah… It's a tragedy." Sora said with sadness on his face.
"That's the truth behind the robbery at the jewelry store." Deku declared.
"A tragic one at that." Riku added. The others looked sad about it.
"What a farce!" Except of course for Kacchan, he found it stupid how everyone else got emotional about this.
"Alright, that's all." It was then that Aizawa declared the training concluded, both him and Cloud stood at the door of the store.
"How fun!" Then Midnight looked up with a cheerful smile as if nothing happened.
"She came back too soon!" Sora, Deku, Tenya and Tsuyu thought at the same time. All sweat dropping.
"Midnight-sensei… is a really good actress…" Riku sweatdropped as well. She's really that good to evoke genuine emotions.
"Thanks. You can go now." Cloud said to his co-workers and the three of them walked towards the exit.
"How did I act?" Present Mic asked his fellow teachers.
"It was too much." Cementoss replied.
"Midoriya. Riku." Aizawa glanced at the two of them.
"Hai." Both replied in acknowledgement.
"Your deductions were exactly the scenario we prepared. The Villain took his own life with his knife." Aizawa confirmed and the boys looked in awe because of it.
"Good work figuring it out by questioning why he locked himself up." Cloud praised them.
"The teachers praised you!" Ochako said to them happily.
"Good work, you both!" Tenya said, smiling as well.
"Way to go, guys!" Sora did the same as well.
Riku and Deku smiled at this. Deku blushed a bit.
"But you ignored a key point." Aizawa informed the students and the teens looked at their teachers in confusion. "That's why, your note on the training… Is zero points." He declared.
"Eh!?" The group seemed shocked that they failed their training.
"What do you mean?!" Kacchan was rightly pissed off to hear this.
"Look." Cloud simply said as he and Shouta gestured at where All Might lied and when the teens turned to look…
"What?" Ochako asked in surprise.
"The Villain's corpse is gone!" Izuku said shocked as All Might was no longer there.
All Might was laughing as he was running away from the scene.
"He's alive!" The group realized too late as they all watched, jaw-dropped, how All Might was running away.
"I'm flying towards freedom!" All Might declared before laughing again as he disappeared into the distance. The teens just stood there right outside of the store jaw-dropped and shocked.
"You assumed that the Villain died and you didn't tie him up, so you lose." Aizawa explained to his class as he and Cloud stepped out of the store. "You didn't take that into account." He added.
"Can't be…" Deku muttered in disbelief as he, Sora, Riku, Tenya and Shouto turned to look at the teachers.
"Was that allowed?" Kacchan asked in a low tone.
"But he was supposed to be dead!" Sora said in disbelief.
"Didn't you notice the clue Toshinori gave you when he was playing Villain? When Tsuyu tickled him…" Cloud began to explain. The frog girl croaked in surprise. "He reacted, didn't he?" He concluded.
"Corpses don't move. He was alive." Shouta declared.
"This was meant to simulate a real scenario, it's on you if you all thought it was a play even if it was." Cloud scolded them with a stern look on his face and his arms crossed.
"That's all for the special class. Dismiss." Shouta declared as he and Cloud walked off.
The group, except Bakugou, just watched them leave. "No…" Deku muttered in disappointment.
"That's cheating!" Kacchan shouted pissed off.
"We were played for fools!" Sora was also angry at this. He then dropped his head. "There goes our extra credit…" Sora muttered in dismay. Riku groaned as he facepalmed himself.
"Wait. If the Villain was alive, he faked suicide, but he was looking for a chance to escape, right?" Tenya said to his classmates.
"Midnight misinterpreted and thought it was because of her, eh?" Tsuyu said, feeling really dumb now.
"What about their love?!" Ochako asked in dismay.
"Their love?" Sora and Deku said at the same time looking upset.
"Their love?" Riku and Shouto repeated looking up.
"There wasn't any love!" Kacchan shouted furiously to the sky.
"The wall!" Then the group noticed that the front wall of the store started to crumble and collapse causing the students to be caught in a cloud of dust.
And thus concluded their special training.
Later at the teacher's room.
All Might opened the door, he had reverted back to his small form and he was coughing a bit. Cloud was with him.
"It's exhausting to maintain the muscles for so long." All Might muttered tiredly.
"I can see that." Cloud commented to him as both stepped into the room. "That class could have gone a lot worse, but also a lot better." He commented about the training he and Shouta observed a bit ago. Toshinori nodded in agreement.
"Oh, that's right, I had an email." All Might said as he saw the screen of his computer and sat on his computer chair. "From Melissa?" He said in surprise as he read the information of the sender.
"Really?" Cloud heard this and quickly approached the computer and read the message, it was indeed from Melissa, the title read in English: Greetings from I-Island.
All Might then read the message to open up the full email which was also written in English that both he and Cloud could perfectly read for obvious reasons. Before Cloud started to read, he heard the beeping ring coming from his own computer (Which sounds like the Final Fantasy victory fanfare in 8-bits). He turned to look and saw that he just received an email.
He approached his desktop and read the message. "Heh. Melissa sent me an email too." He said with a smile as he read that the email came from her and it also read: Greetings from I-Island.
Toshinori smiled at his younger friend as the SOLDIER sat in his computer chair to read the email. The skeleton-like man then focused back on reading his own email.
"Dear Uncle Might. It's been such a long time. It's Melissa Shield. Are you surprised to see my email? I hope Cloud is getting well integrated over there! I am writing to both of you because the I-EXPO will be held in I-Island where my dad and I live. Aren't you taking a summer vacation from your school now? I will be sending you invitation cards to the I-EXPO. Please come visit my dad! A Japanese Hero who fought with Villains while being an exchange student, and his reunion with an American Scientist for the first time in so many years… Don't you think it's dramatic? And hopefully Cloud accepts coming with you! P.S. My father will be so shocked if you visit us. I'm looking forward to seeing his surprised face! Best regards, Melissa." That was what All Might's mail read. At the same time, Cloud read his, which was also in English.
"Hello Cloud! I hope you're doing well over there in Japan and getting along with my Uncle Might and everyone else over there. I know that it's been over a week since you left, but my dad and I already miss you, it feels a little empty without you over here. I am writing to both of you because the I-EXPO will be held here in I-Island. And since you should be taking summer vacations in the school you're working in right now, I was hoping that you would come here with Uncle Might, that would make my dad and I really happy! I will be sending you invitation cards to the I-EXPO. Please come visit us, Cloud. I'm sure Uncle Might will come! P.S. I hope that you met that boy you talked about, Sora was his name, right? Maybe you can bring him too! Also if you're wondering why this email just came in when earlier I sent one to Uncle Might, is because some errands I had to do earlier, hope you didn't misunderstand it! Best regards, Melissa." That was what Cloud's mail read. A smile was drawn on his face as he read it. He had already made up his mind. He glanced at Toshinori and saw him lean into his chair, looking to the ceiling in deep thought.
"Dave…" All Might thought as he reminisced about the time he talked to his old friend Dave about his dream of becoming this world's Symbol of Peace.
"Melissa invited us to I-EXPO." He was brought back to reality by Cloud.
"Yeah…" All Might nodded.
"So, what do you think, Toshi?" Cloud asked him, but All Might didn't reply. "Well, dunno 'bout you, but I'm going." He said as he stood up from his chair.
"Will you?" All Might asked him.
"Yep. I was actually thinking of paying them a visit since we have spare time, talk about convenience." The SOLDIER replied. "I'm not telling you what to do, but you should pay them a visit as well. This could be as good a time as any, who knows when you'll get another chance like this? Maybe you should bring Deku with you too, he would like to meet them." He suggested to his friend with a cool and collected expression. "Anyway, I better get ready to go. Hope to see you there, Toshi." And with that Cloud walked out of the room, leaving All Might alone with his thoughts.
The sun was setting and Izuku was right outside the apartment complex he lived in and then…
"I am… here waiting to intercept Midoriya-shounen on his way home!" All Might came running in with a bag.
"A-All Might!?" The emerald teen was taken by surprise with the sudden appearance of his mentor.
All Might then reverted back to his small form while coughing briefly. "Midoriya-shounen, you know I-Island, right?" He asked his disciple.
"I-Island? Of course!" Deku replied nodding excitedly. "All Hero stuff companies created a city to develop Quirks and tools. It's a mobile artificial island with a total area of- '' And then he unleashed an assault of muttering on his mentor, he would have been overwhelmed were it not for him cutting off the shounen's habit.
"You want to come with me?" All Might asked his student, spilling out a bit of blood out of his mouth. That was enough to make the boy stop and gasp with a shocked face.
"Me? With you?" He asked in disbelief.
"It won't be for fun. Now that you are my successor. I wanted you to develop more insight." All Might explained to him.
"You're doing it for me…" Izuku said in awe. All Might nodded at him with a smile. "Sure!" Izuku accepted with a big smile on his face.
"Then, go to your room to prepare yourself for the journey. We're leaving immediately." All Might ordered him.
"Right now?!" The boy asked, shocked.
"Hurry up, Midoriya-shounen!" All Might said to him.
"I'll pack up right now!" Izuku said hurriedly.
Meanwhile, Sora and surprisingly Katsuki were arriving at a playground because Eijiro texted both of them to come here.
"I wonder why Eijiro told us to come here." Sora thought out loud.
"Who knows?" Katsuki replied flatly.
"I mean, don't take it badly, Kacchan. But even if we're friends, although you don't like to say it out loud, we never really hung out before today." Sora said to the explosive teen, who growled at him slightly.
"Bros!" Both of them looked forward and saw Eijiro rushing towards them as he waved his right hand. He wore a grin.
"Hey, Eijiro." Sora greeted him with a smile. Bakugou just glanced at him with a neutral face.
"Sup dude. How'd it go in the special class?" The hardening teen asked them cheerfully.
"You don't wanna know…" Sora said to him with a grim expression and Katsuki looked very angry at the mention of it. "All I'll say is for you to have good luck when it's your turn." He added.
"Oh man…" Kirishima gulped nervously.
"Is that all why you called us out here?" Bakugou asked him with a frown.
"Oh, no. That's not it." Eijiro shook his head in denial. "You guys heard about I-Island?" He asked them with a smile.
"Sure I do, Deku told me all about it." Sora replied with a smile of his own.
"What's that have to do with this?" Katsuki asked bluntly.
"Well, I heard there's this cool expo going on around there and since we're on vacation I thought it would be awesome to go! Of course you can only do that if you were invited and that's where Sora comes in." The redhead explained.
"Huh? Oh! That's right! That's the prize I got from winning the Sports Festival! I almost totally forgot about it." Sora said with a big grin as he slapped his own forehead.
"You seriously forgot that you have an invitation to go there?" Kacchan asked him with a frown, finding that really dumb of him.
"Well, with everything that happened after the festival I really didn't give much thought about it. Heh." Sora rubbed the back of his head with a sheepish smirk.
"You're really hopeless." Katsuki scolded him.
"Hey, maybe I can bring-" Sora ignored the insult, but his line was interrupted by his phone vibrating in his pocket. "Sorry, gimme a sec." He said to his friends as he brought out his cell phone. "Messages from Riku and Deku…" Sora had received text from his two best friends.
He first opened up Deku's that read: "Hey Sora, you won't believe this! All Might invited me to go to I-Island! Isn't it amazing! Oh and I know that you received an invitation when you won the Sports Festival, I hope to see you there with Riku!"
"Man, good for Deku!" Sora thought with a smile.
He then opened Riku's that read: "Sora, I received a text from Deku that Sensei invited him to go to I-Island, speaking of which I think you can forget about bringing me with you over there, you know since you have an invitation and all. Shouto asked me to go with him earlier, he's going to represent his father, but I'm guessing he just wanted to get away for a bit at least. I'll see you over there, I already left with him."
"Huh. So that's what Shouto wanted to talk with him earlier." When leaving the school Shouto asked Riku to talk to him in private and Riku told him to go on without him. "Well, I guess I can scratch bringing Riku and Deku with me, they're already going over there." Sora said to Eijiro and Kacchan as he put away his phone.
"Hah?! You gotta be shitting me, useless Deku's going there!?" And of course the explosive blond didn't like to hear that.
"Wait bro, that's actually good." Eijiro said to him with a smile. "I was actually about to ask you to bring us with you!" He then turned to look at Sora as he surrounded his explosive friend with his right arm.
"Hell no! Ain't going to where shitty Deku and Edgy Emo are!" Katsuki shouted at him.
"C'mon dude, don't be like that! I know you also wanna go there too." Eijiro replied with a smirk.
"Agh! Fine, yeah I want to go there too." Bakugou caved in much to his own chagrin. "You're bringing us or what?" He then turned to look at Sora with a frown.
The Keyblader crossed his arms as he thought about it for a moment. "Okay, I'll do it." Sora nodded in acceptance.
"For real?! Thanks bro-!" Eijiro was saying with a hyped grin, but Sora interrupted him.
"On one condition." The spiky brunette said, raising up a finger with a smirk. Both Kirishima and Bakugou were taken aback. "Kacchan, you have to ask me nicely, you have to say please." He said with a teasing tone.
"Hah?! Fuck you, Sora!" Katsuki shouted angrily at him.
"Then I guess I'll only bring Eijiro with me, don't worry we'll bring souvenirs." Sora shrugged with a mocking smile.
"Rggg! Fine, fine!" The explosive blond caved in before taking a deep breath. "Can you please bring me with you?" He said between gritted teeth, his expression was of utter disgusts to be forced to do this.
Sora pursed his lips "Hmm. It lacked sincerity… But I'll take it." He said, still wearing that mocking grin. "Of course I'll bring you in, see? That wasn't so hard." He then patted Bakugou on the shoulder as said explosive teen just glared daggers at him.
"Then it's set! Thanks Sora, you're a legend!" Eijiro thanked him excitedly. "Okay bros, let's pack up and set off!" He added.
"Right now?" Sora asked him.
"Of course, the sooner the better!" The hardening Quirk user replied excitedly.
"Good point. I-Island here we go!" Sora said, raising his fist up excitedly.
"Yeah!" Eijiro did the same. Katsuki just glared at them with a small frown.
All Might and his successor Midoriya were on a plane toward I-Island. The Legendary Hero had fallen asleep, dreaming about the time he and Dave stopped a pair of Villains in his hometown of California all those years ago.
"All Might… All Might. All Might!" He was then awakened by his student.
"What's wrong, Midoriya-shounen?" The skeleton-like man asked as he rubbed the sleepiness of his eyes.
"We arrived. Look!" Izuku told him with an excited smile as he pushed his face against the window as he and his mentor glanced outside the plane. "The city is in artificial movement inhabited by more than 10,000 scientists, I-Island." Both observed the massive artificial island. "It's a dream being able to go to I-Island right at the start of summer vacation!" The greenette said excitedly while holding a guide of the upcoming expo taking place there in his right hand.
"I didn't think that you'd be so excited. I'm glad that I invited you." All Might said with a smile as he relaxed in his seat.
The boy then realized something. "But, is it alright that I came with you?" He asked his mentor.
"There's no need to worry. The invitation said that I could bring a companion." All Might explained with a smile.
"Doesn't it mean someone from your family?" Deku asked again only to be silenced by All Might raising up a finger.
"We're connected by something stronger than blood, aren't we? It's through the bond of One for All." All Might said with a glint in his sunken eyes.
"Hai!" Izuku nodded happily. Then both of them hear a beep, making them look up.
"In a moment the unit will start to land at I-Island's airport." The pilot informed, making All Might look sharp, he stood up glancing around to make sure no one was seeing him.
"Now comes the exhausting moment I was thinking off. Because once this plane lands, I…" And All Might buffed up and removed his coat, he was now in his Golden Age Hero costume. "...Must maintain my usual muscle form. Now, Midoriya-shounen, you too must change up." He said to his student, he had to crouch as he was too big to stand straight on the plane in this form. "You asked the school if you could bring your Hero costume, isn't that right?" He asked the boy.
"Hai!" Izuku replied with an excited smirk.
And so the plane started its landing at I-Island's airport.
After landing and changing into his Hero outfit, Deku and his mentor All Might got off the plane.
"Now we'll start with the migration inspection."
The mentor and disciple duo now stood on a conveyor belt with their baggage as they went through an inspection process.
"I have a question for you, Midoriya-shounen. Why was I-Island created?" All Might asked as he and his student were being scanned as they moved on the belt. Holographic screens with their basic information appeared beside them.
"Let's see…" The emerald teen cupped his chin with a smile. "It was created with the ends of looking for talent around the world and being able to find great Quirks. This island was made mobile to protect the scientists and their investigation from Villains. The security system is equivalent to that of the Tartarus, therefore, any Villain hasn't committed a crime here before." He began to explain and quickly started to go full muttering mode again.
"You really know a lot about these things, eh?" All Might gave him a thumbs up.
"The inspection has been carried out successfully. Currently in I-Island, we have the opening of I-EXPO, an exposition of the results from I+D. If you have an invitation, you can come and take a look."
And so Deku and All Might stepped out of the airport, the boy glanced with huge excitement at what was in front of him. A world of technological wonder and amusement, lots of attractions around that made the area seem like one huge amusement park.
"Before being open to the public, I can't believe there are many people here." All Might said in awe.
"Looking at all of this, I really can't describe how amazing it is!" Deku was rightfully amazed and excited beyond what words can describe.
"I-Island is different from Japan, in the sense that in I-Island, you can use your powers as you wish. It seems, there's plenty of attractions and pavilions that use Quirks. You should go later." All Might informed his successor.
"Hai!" Deku replied excitedly.
"Let's see… The hotel is…" The No.1 Hero looked at his phone to check the address of the hotel they're supposed to go to.
"Welcome to I-EXPO." Then a female worker approached them. "W-wait… All Might?!" And she immediately recognized the legendary Hero.
"All Might?!"
"The No.1 Hero?"
"It's really him?!"
"Amazing!"
In a matter of seconds a sea of heads surrounded All Might. People asked for pictures, autographs, interviews and whatnot. Poor Deku was being nearly squashed to death with all the people pushing him around.
All Might just laughed merrifully as always. "Thank you for the warm welcome! Make a line for your autographs!" And as always he had to please his fans or else he would never get rid of them.
Sometime later, Sora, Katsuki and Eijiro arrived at I-Island after a long flight. The unlikely trio stepped out of the airport and Sora and Eijiro glanced around in awe and amazement. All were wearing their Hero costumes.
"Wow! Amazing!" Sora said with a big grin.
"You took the words right outta my mouth, bro! This is even better than I thought!" Eijiro said to him grinning as well. "Now this is how you kick start summer break with a bang!
"Can you both stop acting like 12-year olds? You look like idiots." Katsuki said to them with an annoyed frown.
"C'mon Kacchan! Don't be such a spoilsport, will ya?" Sora replied to him.
"Yeah, man. You gotta admit that all of this is amazing!" Eijiro said briefly, looking at him before looking back at the sight in front of them.
"You're childish bakas." Bakugou insulted them.
"Nah. Don't be like that,Bakubro! Let loose a little and relax!" Kirishima patted him on the back with a toothy grin.
"I am relaxed!" Kacchan said, looking irritated, not relaxed.
"Doesn't look like that." Sora said with a teasing smirk.
"Hah?!" Kacchan only got more irritated at this.
"Okay, okay, dudes, let's all chill, we're all bros in here, 'kay?" Eijiro got in the middle of them, side hugging them both. "Let's go to check in the hotel before taking a look around, I heard that we can use our Quirks as we want in here and there are attractions that use Quirks, we can have fun in there!" He suggested to his friends before letting go of them.
"Good idea, man." Sora liked that idea. "Although I want to go look for Deku and Riku, we agreed to meet up here on the island." He explained.
"Can't you spend a single day without them or what?" Katsuki asked as a means of insulting him.
"Aw, if you're upset that I'm not hanging out with just you and Eijiro, just say it. We can always hang out just the three of us some other day," Sora cheerfully smiled at him as he patted him on the back.
"Fuck you." Katsuki said angrily at him.
"I didn't hear a no." Sora kept smiling.
"Me neither." Eijiro smiled as well. Bakugou just grumbled at them. "Anyway, let's go to the hotel." And with that the three of them started to make their way down the stairs. When they reached the end the hardening teen noticed something. "Hey, isn't that…?" He pointed forward and when Sora did…
"Cloud?" He saw the SOLDIER and quickly rushed to him. "Cloud!"
"Hm?" He turned around and saw Sora quickly approaching. "Ah, Sora." He greeted him. "Figured I would see you here, though not so soon." He said to him.
"What are you doing here?" Sora asked him. Kirishima and Bakugou also approached.
"Crazy to see you here from all places, Strife-sensei." Eijiro said to him.
"You brought them with you, I take it." Cloud glanced at Sora.
"Yep. Deku and Riku were invited here and they asked so…" The boy replied shrugging. "Anyway, you're here on vacation?" Sora asked cheerfully.
"Remember that friend I told you about the other day? Well, I'm here to pay him a visit and I was also invited to the expo." The swordsman explained. Sora seemed briefly confused until it clicked to him
"Oh, right! And are you gonna meet him now?" Sora asked him, smiling.
"Yeah, I was actually going to do that. You can come with me if you want." Cloud said to him with his usual cool and collected expression.
"For real?!" Sora asked with an excited glint in his eyes. Cloud nodded response. "Sure!" And Sora accepted without question. "Oh, uh, you guys don't mind going on without me? It's just that I really wanna meet this friend of Cloud's." He then turned to look at his friends.
"No problem, bro. We can see each other later." Eijiro replied smiling. Katsuki just humphed. "He says it's cool with him." Eijiro pointed at him.
"Nice, then I'll catch you later guys." Sora replied cheerfully.
"Make sure Katsuki doesn't blow up anything." Cloud said to the redhead plainly.
"Hah?!" And he didn't like that assumption at all.
"C'mon bro, let's go get check in at the hotel." And then Eijiro started to walk off as he pushed Katsuki away against his protest.
After they were gone, Cloud glanced at Sora. "So, shall we?" He asked and the boy nodded excitedly and they took off with Sora following the SOLDIER.
After being harassed by a sea of fans, All Might and Deku were finally able to get away, now both stood in a beautiful park. All Might had kissing marks all around his face as Deku looked exhausted.
"I didn't think that they wouldn't stop me for so long. So much so that we were about to get late!" All Might said as he wiped all the markings off his face.
"Late?" Izuku asked him.
"Yes." All Might replied. "I wanted to have a reunion with an old friend that I haven't seen for a long time. I'm sorry, do you mind coming with me?" After explaining, he asked his student.
"A friend of All Might's…? Of course I do!" Deku replied with an excited smile.
"I haven't told them about One for All or how I passed it the Quirk… so keep up the secret." All Might whispered to him.
"It's a secret even for your friend?" Deku asked, surprised to hear this.
"It's because danger follows those who know the secret about One for All." All Might reminded him, making a silent gesture.
"I see. I guess it's so…" Deku replied in understanding as he lowered his head. "One for All goes beyond that being a secret." The boy remembered when All Might told him that he might one day face the great evil, known as All for One… "That's right. I have to be ready when that time comes, and I must learn to use One for All adequately as soon as possible." He then glanced at his right hand before closing it into a fist with a determined frown.
That was when both of them saw something bouncing in the distance towards them. Both seemed confused until All Might then recognized what it was or rather who it was.
"Uncle! Uncle Might!" It was a beautiful blonde girl with blue eyes that came in on an oddly-shaped jump stick. She wore glasses on her eyes and it was clear she was American. She jumped to All Might arms and happily embraced him.
"Oh, Melissa!" All Might happily hugged the girl back. Deku blinked in utter confusion.
"I'm glad to see you again. I'm so happy that you came!" The girl, known as Melissa, said happily as she was held up by her uncle.
"Thank you very much for the invitation! It's almost been a year, but my, look at you! You've grown a lot!" All Might said happy to see his niece once more.
"It's because I'm 17 now. I'm heavier than before, right?" Melissa replied.
"I don't think so!" All Might said as he raised her even higher, both shared a heartful laugh before he put her down.
"I'm glad that you're fine, as always, Uncle Might. I'm sorry, I got late. I was so focused on my experiment that I lost track of time…" She said with a bashful blush.
"Is she All Might's old friend? The age doesn't seem right… Could it be her Quirk?" Izuku thought, not understanding what's going on as All Might talked with his niece.
"By the way, where is Dave?" All Might asked, glancing around.
Melissa giggled. "He's in his lab. It seems he finished the first phase of an investigation that he's been working on for years, so I invited you to this island as a surprise to celebrate his success." Melissa explained winking at him while making a silent gesture.
"So that's what this was about?" All Might asked, understanding now. "By the way, what's Dave investigating this time?" He asked the girl.
"He said that it's something confidential that not even I could know." Melissa replied.
"Scientists have their secrets too, eh?" All Might replied. Izuku glanced between them, feeling left out. "Oh, Midoriya-shounen." The No.1 Hero then glanced back at his student, the girl did the same. "She's the daughter of my great friend." He explained to him.
"My name is Melissa Shield. Nice to meet you." Melissa introduced herself with a smile, she extended her right hand towards him.
"So that was it?" He muttered to himself in understanding.
"What?" Melissa asked him. All Might seemed confused as well.
"Oh, it's nothing!" Deku said, waving his hands in denial before removing his right glove and taking Melissa's hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Izuku Midoriya, from the first year of U.A's Hero course." He introduced himself with a smile.
"From U.A. High School? Then you're Uncle Might's…" Melissa replied with a smile.
"Yeah, I'm his student." Izuku nodded at her.
"He'll be a Hero in the future!" All Might said with pride.
"Amazing, I can't believe you're Uncle Might's student! You have a promising future, eh?" Melissa said with an excited smile as she leaned in closer to him
"No! I still have a long way, I mean, I'm…" The emerald teen took a few steps away from her with a wavering smile.
"What type of Quirk do you have?" Melissa asked him as she walked behind him.
"A-a power type of Quirk!" Deku got super nervous and flustered with the girl getting so close to him, which he never seems to get used to no matter how many times a girl got close to him before. (Good thing Ochako wasn't around… Yet)
"It's great, but… It has a very orthodox design… I don't see any support elements, either you…" Melissa muttered as she checked Deku's outfit.
"S-she's too close!" Poor Deku was totally red and his heart pounded hard. He stood as stiff as metal.
Melissa then saw the scar on Izuku's right hand. "Maybe you should refine your costume…" She muttered to him as she ran her fingers through the boy's scarred hand.
All Might then faked a cough. "Melissa, it's time." He said to her, seeing that his student was incredibly uncomfortable right now.
"Oh, sorry! I got a little carried away…" She apologized. "Wait…" She then noticed something. "Didn't Cloud come with you? I told him to come here." Now she noticed that a certain SOLDIER wasn't with her uncle.
"Oh, that's right, I almost forgot. Cloud-kun said he would come, I think he should be here at any moment now" All Might explained to her.
"Wait, you mean Strife-sensei is here?" Deku asked, his eyes widened in surprise.
"Yes. Melissa invited him to come as well. Cloud-kun is also great friends with that friend of mine and her." All Might explained. Melissa nodded in confirmation.
"Wait, that's right! Sora said Strife-sensei lived here for some time with…!" And then Deku piece together everything as he remembered what Sora said to him the other day.
Meanwhile. Cloud was walking through the park with Sora following him. The boy was in awe at the beauty of it.
"Liking what you see?" Cloud asked him.
"Yeah, it's really beautiful." Sora nodded with a smile. "Say, Cloud?" He then decided to ask him something.
"What?" The blond swordsman asked.
"You lived here for sometime, right?" Sora wanted to check on that and Cloud nodded in response. "So you know this island pretty well?"
"Yeah." He replied nodding again. "I've been in this park many times before. I like it here, it's peaceful" He added with a small smile.
"So, is it always like this around here?" Sora asked him again.
"Not always this festive, but it's pretty nice here." Cloud replied.
"Sounds like you missed this place." Sora said with a smile.
"Heh. A little." Cloud closed his eyes with a smile.
Sora chuckled before changing the topic. "I'm really excited about meeting this David Shield, I mean, it's not everyday that I get to meet one of All Might's old partners" Sora said with excitement in his eyes.
"Don't forget about his daughter, Melissa." Cloud reminded him.
"Right! I can't wait!" Sora nodded with a big smile.
"Just keep down the excitement a little, okay?" The SOLDIER Hero told him with a serene expression.
"Okay." Sora replied in understanding. "Hey, maybe we'll run into All Might-sensei and Deku if he comes to visit Dave and Melissa. Deku said he and Sensei were coming here" Sora said with a smile at the prospect.
"It's a given." Cloud nodded in confirmation. Sora's smile widened at this. "Heads up, Dave and Melissa know about you, I told them as soon as I knew you were in this world." He informed his student.
"Huh? For real?" Sora asked him. Blinking twice in surprise.
Cloud nodded. "They kept my secret, they'll keep yours, so don't worry." He assured him.
"If you trust them, I will too." Sora replied unconcerned. "Say, are they very close to All Might?" Sora asked, feeling curious about the Shields relationship with All Might.
"He's like family for them. Melissa even calls him 'Uncle'." Cloud replied with a noticeable smile.
"Wow, that's very nice." Sora smiled at this.
"Yeah, although you should know that none of them know about One for All, even less that he passed his Quirk to Deku." Cloud then told him with a more serious face.
"Huh? But you just said Sensei was like family for them." Sora seemed confused at this.
"Yeah, but I don't think I need to remind you why Toshinori has to keep his secret. I didn't even know the whole truth until recently when I came to U.A." Cloud explained to him.
"Hmmm. Yeah, you're right about that…'' Sora lowered his head as he understood this. "But it sounds a little unfair that we know such a personal and deep secret of All Might, but they don't, no?" He said with a conflicted face.
"It is." Cloud nodded in response. "But it's his affair, an affair of this world. It's not our place to meddle and you know it." He reminded him what they shouldn't do as outsiders of this world.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. That's up to him, not us." Sora replied in understanding. He then noticed something up ahead. "Hey, over there!" Sora pointed forward. Cloud glanced forward and saw Toshinori, Deku and Melissa a little away from where they were, they were talking, but they couldn't hear them. "There they are! Is that girl Melissa?" Sora asked him.
"Yep, that's her." Cloud nodded. "Let's say hi." And with that Cloud and Sora walked towards them. "Melissa." When they were close enough, Cloud called her.
She heard him, as well as All Might and Deku, the three of them turned to look at him. "Cloud!" The girl said with a bright smile before rushing to him. Cloud was met with a sudden embrace from her and he returned with a peaceful smile on his face. "I'm so happy you came!" She said happily.
"Hey, Melissa. Glad to be back too." He greeted her. They then let go of each other. "Sorry, got late. I bumped into someone on the way." He gestured to Sora.
"Hiya, Melissa Shield, right?" Sora happily greeted her. "Name's-" He was about to introduce himself, but the blonde girl interrupted.
"You're Sora Nomura, right?" Melissa guessed correctly, she wore a bright smile on her face.
"Huh? How'd-? Oh, right. You already knew." Sora smiled sheepishly. Melissa giggled a bit.
"Yup. It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person, it's not everyday you meet an actual otherworldly Hero." Melissa extended her hand to him.
Sora smiled at her and shook hands with her. "Nice to meet you too, Melissa. Cloud told me a lot about you and your dad. I owe you, if it weren't for you, I would have never met him again, so thanks for taking care of him." He said with heartfelt gratitude. Melissa smiled happily back at him as they let go of their hands.
Then they heard All Might's laughter, they turned to see him and Deku approaching him.
"Good thing you came in, Cloud-kun. We just were asking for you." All Might said to his younger friend merrifully.
"Hey, Toshi. Good to see you here, too." Cloud greeted him casually.
"Hey, Sora!" Deku approached his otherworldly best friend. "I'm glad you made it here."
"Hey, Deku!" Sora greeted back before they bumped their fists. "Me too."
"Deku?" Melissa tilted her head in confusion.
"Oh, uh, that's what some of my friends call me." Izuku replied to her.
"Yeah, we're close friends. And we're in the same class at U.A." Sora explained to her
"Oh, so you're classmates, huh? Then, does that mean…?" Melissa asked.
"Yes. We know that Sora-shounen here is from another world. All teachers in the staff at U.A. know it as well as Midoriya-shounen." All Might explained to her.
"That's right, as long it's just between us, you don't have to keep shush about it." Cloud confirmed.
"I see." Melissa said in understanding.
"Although, I'm the only one in my class that knows the truth." The emerald teen clarified.
"Yeah… This thing happened that made it inevitable to explain everything to him." Sora scratched the back of his head.
"Alright, I understand." Melissa replied in acknowledgement.
"Say Sora, where's Riku?" Deku asked him.
"Haven't found him yet. He should be somewhere around the island with Shouto." Sora replied.
"Oh, right. Todoroki-kun invited him." He was reminded that Riku came here with Todoroki.
"Riku?" Melissa tilted her head in confusion. "Oh, is that the other otherworldly person? Sorry, I don't know much of him because Cloud never met him." She asked.
"Yep. That's my best friend." Sora nodded in reply.
"Okay." Melissa replied in understanding. "You know, it's a little funny that despite all your accomplishments, you're actually a little shorter than I thought you'd be." She said to Sora with a smile.
"Huh? No way I'm short! You're just taller 'cause you're older! My height is decent for my age, right, Deku?" He flinched at the mention of his height, which sometimes upsets him, before turning to Deku.
"Um, yeah. We're both the same height." Deku nodded in agreement.
"You're both half-pints." Cloud said bluntly.
"Hey!" Both boys looked at him offended.
"Still with the brutal honesty, I see." The blonde girl sweatdropped. "But it wouldn't be you if you weren't." She smiled putting both hands on her hips. "I hope he hasn't caused any troubles at your school, he can be a handful sometimes." She glanced at her uncle.
"Not at all! He has been getting along with everyone at the staff, although of course he sometimes lets out one or two sassy comments here and there." All Might replied.
"Hmm, sounds like him alright." Melissa said not surprised.
Cloud shrugged. "I won't apologize."
"Of course you wouldn't." Sora replied to him with a knowing smirk.
"Honestly Cloud, it still baffles me that you are a teacher at U.A. Don't take me wrong, but you don't seem to be one to work with children at all." Melissa commented to him.
"You would say the same to all other pro Heroes that work at the staff with only one glance." Cloud replied to him crossing his arms. "Sometimes I believe that besides Shouta, I'm the most normal person there. And that's saying something." He added, spending time with his fellow teachers led him to think that more than once and he couldn't be blamed for it. "That includes you too, Toshi." He turned to look at the No.1 Hero, which made him flinch slightly. (At least he's not like Midnight. JK you know we love you girl even if you are kinda weird.)
"Yep, you haven't changed at all." Melissa giggled a bit. "Of course it's been over a week since I last saw you, so…" She added. "I hope he wasn't rough with you or your classmates." She turned to look at Sora and Deku.
"Uhh…" Both looked at each other. (Insert here montage of Cloud painfully wiping the floor with Sora and Riku).
"Nah, not at all." Sora lied as he put his hands behind his head with a convincing smile. Deku nodded in agreement. "I've been learning a lot from him. Sure, he's a jerk sometimes, but the nice type of jerk." Now he was being honest.
"Glad to know you respect your Sensei, kid." Cloud said to him flatly. Then everyone shared a laughter, even Cloud smiled. "Melissa. Dave's at his lab working as usual, I take it?" He glanced at her.
"Mm-hm." She nodded.
"Typical of him." The SOLDIER replied not surprised.
"I wanted to give him a surprise for finishing his newest project by bringing both of you." Melissa explained to him with a smile.
"I see. Let me guess, it's something secret that not even you know?" Cloud guessed correctly. Melissa nodded.
All Might chuckled. "You sure know Dave well." He patted him on the back. "Well then, shall we go see him?" He glanced at the girl.
"Right! But before that, can I ask you a favor, Sora?" She turned to look at Sora.
"Hmm?" Sora tilted his head in confusion.
"Can you show me your weapon? You call it 'Keyblade' right? I just wanna have a look at it, please?" She asked him with a pleasing smile. Even joining her hands together.
"Sure, I don't see why not?" Sora shrugged with a smile. He extended his right hand forward and then manifested his Kingdom Key. "Ta-dah! This is my Keyblade, I call it the Kingdom Key. Pretty neat, right?" He showed her his weapon.
The girl's eyes gittler in awe. "Amazing… It really has the shape of a key. Hmm doesn't look to have any sort of edges anywhere, most be some sort of magical properties that make it sharp or something, like how it can be summoned at will. I wonder how one of these are made and what exactly they work…" She took closer looks to Sora's Keyblade, even touching it while Sora just stood there holding it and arching an eyebrow. Deku just wonders how Sora can always be calm when girls just get so close to him.
"Melissa." Cloud snapped her back to reality.
"Oh, sorry! Lost track again..." Melissa apologized, then she went to pick up her jump stick. "We must hurry and give dad his surprise." And with the press of a button it turned into a lace-like object before retracting itself like a measuring tape before she saved it on her pocket. The Keyblader was wowed at this. "Over here, Uncle Might, Cloud" And she started walking away. The pairs of teachers and students glanced at each other, smiling at each other before following her.
"She's the daughter of a scientist, it's in her veins to get like that when something picks up her curiosity." All Might explained to young ones with a smile.
"Yeah, I can see that." Sora smiled back at him.
"Now you both, try to not explode when you meet her dad." Cloud said bluntly at them.
"Okay, but I can't make any promises about Deku." Sora replied, putting his hands behind his head.
"Eh?" Deku glanced at his best friend.
"You know how you get when you're excited." Sora replied with a teasing smirk. The emerald teen groaned. Everyone followed Melissa towards her father's lab.
Outside of I-Island's airport stood a group of seven men. The one in front of them, seemingly the leader, was making a call on his cellphone. "We managed to enter the expo without problems. When will the merchandise arrive?" The leader of the group asked.
"Come look for it at 3 PM at gate 66." A modified voice replied from the other end.
"Understood." The man replied before ending the call.
At the central tower
David Shield was looking at a picture of his old friend, All Might, back in his hayday on his phone. He wore a nostalgic smile.
"Profesor. Profesor David." He glanced at his assistant, Sam, who walked into the room. "I finished cleaning up the place." The older man informed him.
"Really? Thank you, Sam." David thanked him. Both of them walked into the freshly cleaned room.
"Why don't you go to lunch with your daughter sometime?" Sam asked him.
"She went to the academy today." David replied.
"Didn't she have a break due to the expo?" Sam asked him again.
"She's making an independent investigation." David replied with a proud smile.
"I'm dad's daughter after all. It's obvious being like him." Then Melissa came through another door.
"Melissa." Her father was surprised to see her.
"Hello, miss." Sam greeted her with a smile.
"Hello, Sam-san." She greeted him back. "Thanks for taking care of my dad since he doesn't do more than research all the time." She added with a happy smile. Both men chuckled a bit.
"I can't argue with that." David replied, smiling. "More importantly, what are you doing here?" He asked his daughter.
"I'm here to celebrate that you finish the first phase of your research, and I invited two certain people." Melissa replied happily.
"Two certain people?" David looked confused.
"Two people that you love very much, dad." She replied as she gestured behind her. David's eyes widened in surprise.
"I am here… trembling with excitement from our grand reunion!" And All Might entered, as usual, making a pose.
"You can never make an entrance like a normal person, can you?" Cloud deadpanned at him. The boys stood behind their teachers at the doorstep.
"Toshi?! Cloud?!" David was rightfully shocked to see both of his friends right here in his lab.
"All Might?! I-it's really him?" Sam was also shocked to see the No.1 Hero.
Then All Might rushed to his old friend laughing happily. "I came from so far just to see you, Dave!" He lifted his friend up, twirling once before letting him down on the ground, but Dave fell on his rear, still taking in the surprise. Cloud sighed at this.
"Well? Aren't you surprised?" Melissa asked her father with a happy smile.
"Y-yes… Very surprised…" David replied with a smile. All Might helped his friend up.
"Hey Dave, good see you again." The SOLDIER approached him with a smile. He extended his right hand to him
"Cloud. I know it's over a week since you left, but I'm glad you came back. We missed you." David smiled at him, both shook hands.
"You have to thank Melissa for all of this!" All Might said to him.
"Yep. I was thinking of paying you a visit anyway." Cloud nodded in agreement.
"My, it's been almost a year since we last met, but it feels far longer!" All Might commented to his old friend.
"Sure was. But let's not start talking about age, none of us want to think about it, right.?" David replied with a smile.
"Heh. You're both old men already." Cloud said with a smirk.
All Might and David started laughing. "Indeed we are!" All Might commented. "I'm glad to see you again, Dave." He said to his old friend.
David's smile turned bigger. "I'm glad to see you too, All Might." He said to him and then they bump fists. "You too, Omnimerc." He then turned to Cloud, the SOLDIER smiled before he bumped fists with him.
"Shonens, let me introduce you to one of my best friends, David Shield" All Might said as everyone glanced at Sora and Deku. The latter was shaking as the former was wearing a big smile.
"I know who he is! It's the Professor David Shield!" Deku snapped out of his trembling and shouted with a really excited grin. "He's an outstanding scientist in research of Quirks and he also received a Nobel Prize! He was All Might's partner when he lived in the United States, and made the Hero Costumes for All Might… ''Young Age!'' ''Bronze Age!'' ''Silver Age!'' And… ''Golden Age''! He was the great inventor of all those outfits! I never thought that I would meet him in person! I-I'm so excited!" And Deku just rambled really fast due to his huge excitement. He even got closer to the scientist.
Melissa giggled at this. Sora just grinned with his arms behind his head.
"It seems I don't have to introduce myself anymore." David smiled at the boy.
The emerald flinched. "I'm sorry! It's just-" He nervously bowed down to apologize.
"No, it's alright." David waved it off with a smile. He then noticed Sora. "Cloud, is that…?" He turned to him.
"Yep. It's him." The blond swordsman nodded at him.
Sora then approached David. "Hiya, Mr. Dave. I'm Sora Nomura, although I think you already know that." The Keyblader introduced himself cheerfully.
"Heh. The Hero from another world… A very young one at that. I never thought I would see you in person. It's an honor, Sora." The scientist extended his hand to him.
"The honor is mine, Mr. Dave." Sora shook hands with him. "I'm a great fan of All Might and I'm really excited to meet you, although not even close as my friend over here." He gestured to Deku. "I'm thankful that you and Melissa took care of Cloud. That allowed me to see him." He let go of him, the boy was smiling.
"We just did what anyone would do." David waved it off smiling.
"Say, you were the one that made Cloud's Buster Sword, right?" Sora asked with a glint in his eyes.
"Hehe. Don't give me all the credit, I worked together with Cloud on several prototypes until we perfected it. We went through several of them until I was able to create a weapon made with an unique titanium alloy that could channel his magical powers." David explained.
"That's right." Cloud confirmed, he then pulled out his Buster Sword from his back. "And because it channels and it's imbued with my powers, this sword was rendered immune to negative effects. It won't rust nor break, it can't even be affected by things such as acid or magnetism. It never failed me, it's still as sharp as brand new." He explained as he looked at his weapon. "Not to inflate your ego, Dave. But this is up there with your finest work." He said to his friend as he pulled his weapon on his back once more.
David smiled. "It was an honor to craft such a weapon for someone like you, my friend." He said to him.
"You're amazing, Mr. Dave." Sora said amazed and Deku's glitter in excitement as well.
"He is. He's the best tech wiz I ever met." Cloud said with a smile.
"Heh. Cid will be mad if he hears that." Sora replied with a smirk.
"Better never tell him then." The SOLDIER replied, keeping his smile.
All Might then coughed softly. Both David and Cloud noticed. "It's been a long time since I saw All Might and that the three of us were together like this. Can you give us some time to talk in private?" David asked politely to the boys.
"Y-yes." Deku replied in understanding.
"Kay." Sora did the same.
"Melissa, show the two of them around I-EXPO." David said to his daughter.
"Alright, dad." Melissa replied in understanding.
"For real?" Deku asked her.
"I'm honored to be with a future Hero and an otherworldly one." She replied happily. "Over here." She pointed to the door.
The boys glanced at each other before looking back at her. "Yeah!" Both said in unison.
"I can't wait!" Sora said excitedly.
"Me neither!" Izuku did the same. Both of them followed the girl out of the room.
"Sam… You too, go take a break." David told his assistant.
Right now the duo were walking alongside Melissa though the hallways of the tower.
"How should I call you? Midoriya-kun and Nomura-kun? Izuku-kun and Sora-kun?" She asked the emerald child and spiky brunette.
"You can call me by my first name, Melissa." Sora replied with a smile.
"You can call me…" Izuku looked up as he thought briefly, he then nodded with a smile. "...Deku, please." He replied to her.
"Hmm. That's a bit of a strange nickname." The girl commented. "And didn't your friends call you that?" She asked.
"Well, we're friends now." Deku said to her, smiling. Sora nodded in agreement.
Melissa smiled at this. "You can call me Melissa." She said happily to the greenette.
"Say Melissa, how was living with Cloud?" Sora asked her. "Last time I saw him was back in my universe, he was all broody and inward, but now he seems more lively." He added, remembering the SOLDIER's previous attitude.
"Yes, he used to be that way at the start during his recovery process. He barely talked to me or my dad, most times he was quiet and stoic, but with time he opened up as he grew used to us and this world. He might look and act tough outside, but I know he can be quite the softie and dorky on the inside when you get through that." She described him with a smile.
"Heh. I can see that. I'm glad you had a positive effect on him, he's more happy now." Sora said to her with a warm smile.
"I'm glad about that too. But of course there are things about him that won't change." Melissa replied giggling.
"Yep, Cloud is Cloud." Sora grinned at her.
Back at Dave's lab.
"Excuse me." Sam had walked out of the door and closed the door to leave the professor with his two friends. Right in time as vapor started coming out of All Might's body and he started coughing and fell to his knees, Dave and Cloud looked at him with concern.
"Hey, are you alright, Toshi?" Dave asked as he kneeled as well. Cloud just stood there with a calm expression, but there was visible concern in his eyes.
The vapor faded as All Might returned to his small form. "Thank you very much…" Toshinori thanked him, his mouth was covered with his right hand. "The amount of time that I can maintain my muscle form has reduced even more…" He explained to his friend.
"You told me about your symptoms through email… but I didn't know you got so bad." David said with concern as he checked the state of his friend.
"Yeah… He got worse than before." Cloud confirmed with his arms crossed. All Might started coughing again.
Sora, Izuku and Melissa had returned to the expo and were now exploring.
"This is amazing… Looking at it like this, it's hard to believe that this is an artificial island made by humans." Deku said, amazed as he, Sora and Melissa walked around and watched the theme park-like expo.
"Yeah. It's already amazing that this is a man-made island, even crazy that it actually moves! I've never seen anything like that and it's amazing!" Sora said with eyes shining with wonder and amazement.
"Really?" Melissa asked him. Sora nodded in response. "Speaking of which, how do you feel living in this world? I bet you saw countless amazing and fantastical worlds before back in your universe." She asked him with great curiosity.
"I feel pretty good. I do miss home, but I found a home here with the new friends I made. And so far, I'm loving being here." Sora replied. "This world just feels completely different from others that I've been too and I went to all sorts of amazing, magical and wacky places before. The closest thing to here is this world called San Fransokyo, which is San Francisco, but with super heavy Japanese influence. It's pretty high tech in there too, in fact, some friends of mine would lose it if there were here right now." He explained, remembering the adventure he had in San Fransokyo not that long ago with his friends, Big Hero 6.
"Wow. It's amazing that you had great and incredible adventures in the countless worlds of your universe." Melissa replied smiling. She was amazed with what she was hearing. "I'm also glad to know that you like being here." She added. "This island has all the facilities that a big city offers. More than anything, travel is what we can't do…" She explained to the boys.
"For real?!" Deku asked, surprised to hear this.
"That's because the scientists and their families have the duty of confidentiality to prevent leak of information." Melissa explained.
"But, Cloud said he and your dad traveled around the world." Sora was confused at this.
"Yes, they did. I just never went with them as it would be dangerous. It's a bit of a shame though, I would have liked to see Cloud in action against Villains." She clarified, she pouted a bit.
"Honestly, me too." Sora agreed, putting his hand behind his head.
Then Izuku looked forward in awe and amazement. "It's the Kaiju Hero: Godzilla!" He saw said pro Hero passing by along, other people were also in awe.
"Wow! He's sure big!" Sora said with a smile.
"It's the first time I've seen him in person!"
"His Quirk is amazing!" Some random people said among other things.
"He must have been invited by a sponsor to show their new articles, sign autographs and all that." Melissa commented. "It seems there's many different events." She added.
"I-EXPO is amazing!" Deku said with excitement.
"Yeah, there's so many cool pros in here on top of the other amazing stuff!" Sora did the same. "And you know what the other good thing about being here is, Deku?" He turned to look at his nerdy friend.
"Hm?" Izuku arched an eyebrow. Melissa did the same.
"Since we're not in Japan anymore, people don't know us here. It's good to hang out outside and for once not be recognized by people, not that I hate the attention and praises, but it can be annoying something." Sora said to Deku with a grin.
"Oh yeah, no arguing there." Deku agreed with a smile of his own.
"Are you guys famous back in Japan?" Melissa asked them.
"Well, sort of." Sora replied.
"You see, our class participated in the Sports Festival of our school, it's a big deal in Japan. The whole country saw us so we became sorta known." Izuku explained. "Sora and Riku became particularly recognized as prodigies for their performance, especially Sora. He won the tournament. and let me tell you, that was the best final match I've ever seen." He added with a bright smile.
Sora giggled as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Wow, that sounds amazing! I have to remember to check that out on the internet later." Melissa said with an impressed smile. "Oh, and also there will be a party for all the guests of the industry tonight." She told both of her new friends. "But you'll both be there, right? Since you came with Uncle Might and you were invited." She added glancing first at Deku, then Sora. The three of them started walking again.
"That sounds neat, but would that be like a formal event? Do I need a formal outfit? 'Cause I didn't bring one." Sora asked her. He didn't know about a formal event so he didn't bring formal clothes and he was mostly certain that neither Eijiro nor Kacchan did either.
"Don't worry, you can rent one before that." Melissa assured him.
"Cool." Sora smiled in reply.
"Is that why All Might told me to bring formal clothes?" Izuku did bring formal clothes as his mentor instructed him. Now he gets why.
"Oh, Deku-kun! Sora-kun! You should visit that pavilion!" Melissa said to them with a smile as she pointed to the pavilion in front of them.
A few moments later the three of them entered the pavilion.
"Wow! Look at all of this!" Sora said with his eyes glittering in wonder.
"So many Hero articles in a single place!" Deku did the same. This pavilion showed to the public the newest Hero articles and other sorts of tech.
"Guys, look at this! This multipurpose Beagle can fly, but it can also move under water." Melissa showed the advanced airship along with an hologram display that showed its functions.
"Amazing!" Deku said in amazement.
"That's so cool!" Sora did the same.
"You can use this diving suit until 7,000 meters under the depths of the sea." Melissa now showed them an advanced diving suit within a glassed tube filled with water.
"Very deep!" Deku said amazed while he and Sora were pressed on the glass.
"Yeah!" The Keyblader agreed.
"These goggles are equipped with 36 different sensors." Melissa then put a helmet on Deku's head and when she did, it activated, displaying many holographic screens showing several places of the expo and the island overall.
"I can see too much!" Izuku said startled. Even a huge screen showing his face appeared.
"I wanna try too!" Sora then went to pick up one of the several helmets on the table.
A bit later. The trio kept walking around the pavilion.
"Actually, almost everything in here was based on things patented by dad." Melissa explained with a big smile.
"Man… That's amazing!" Deku smiled in amazement.
"Yeah! All of this tech is so awesome, definitely my friends from San Fransokyo would lose it if they saw all of this!" Sora did the same. "Science is so amazing! Although I need some help to get it." He added.
"Each and every one the articles here, help the Heroes around the world in their job." Melissa said happily.
"You really admire your dad a lot, right?" Deku said to her with a smile.
Melissa flinched slightly before looking at him. "That's because it's my dream to become a scientist like him." She replied with a smile and a tiny blush.
"Oh, speaking of which, you go to the academy from here, right?" Deku asked her as the three of them stopped to look at a large machine.
"Yes, I'm in my third year." The blonde girl replied with a smile.
"I-Island's academy is a place where all those who want to become scientists come to, right?" Deku said excitedly.
"I still have a long way to go." Melissa shook her head in reply. "I need to study more and more to do that." She added with a smile.
"Well, I have faith that you'll become like your dad one day." Sora said to her with a smile.
"Me too, Melissa-san." Deku nodded in agreement. "And I also have to to work harder to be like All Might." The emerald teen then glanced at his right hand before closing into a fist with a bright.
"And I also have to work hard to become even stronger. I know people say I'm a Hero already and they might be right, but I wanna work as hard as I can to be the best possible Hero I can be, following All Might's example. I wanna become the Hero everybody thinks I am already, meet their expectations as best as I can and protect all who needs it. That's my dream, what I want to do with my life." Sora said to her with a heartfelt smile, putting a hand on his chest.
"I see. I know that you'll make it, Sora-kun." Melissa replied with a cheerful smile. The Keyblade Hero replied with a nod. "You both also admire Uncle Might a lot, especially you Deku-kun, right?" She said to both of them. "You were very surprised back there a moment ago." She added glancing at the greenette.
Deku flinched at this. "Oh, sorry, I really can't help it…" He bashfully apologized as he rubbed the back of his head.
"That right. You can't do anything 'bout it except like it." Sora said with a cheerful smile as he patted his friend in the back. He and Melissa started laughing.
"I see you're having fun, Deku-kun!" The three of them heard a voice right behind them and immediately turned. Deku as usual got startled.
"U-Uraraka-san?" It was their friend, Ochako, who stood there with an odd face, she was smiling, but something was off about it.
"Ochako-chan. What are you doing here?" Sora asked her, surprised to see her like Deku was.
"It seems you're having fun." Ochako repeated. It seems she wasn't even acknowledging Sora as she was just looking at Deku.
"You said it again?" Deku was confused at this. However an idea came to Sora as he briefly glanced at her, then Deku and then Melissa and the pieces were put together in his head.
"Huh. Looks like she's a bit jealous." Sora figured, knowing the obviousness of her feelings for Deku, it's obvious she would get like this if she saw him having a good time with another pretty girl. Of course he wouldn't say anything to Deku for obvious reasons.
Then the three of them heard a cough and glanced to the side.
A smile was drawn on Sora's face. "Momo-chan! And Kyouka-chan too!" He said happily as he and the others saw both girls. "What are you girls doing here?" He asked with a smile. Then he blinked when he noticed something. "Uh… Momo-chan? You okay? You look like something's bothering you." Sora noticed that while the raven-haired girl looked calm and composed, he knew something was bothering her. She even had her arms crossed, another sign something was bothering her.
"I'm fine, Sora-kun." She replied with a plain tone of voice. However, she lied, she was bothered by something.
"Um, okay then?" Sora arched an eyebrow. His gut feeling told him she was lying, but he decided to not press the matter if she wants to not talk about it.
"You and Midoriya-san seem to be having a good time. Are any of you on a date with this girl?" Although Momo asked both of them, her eyes remained glued to Sora's. That was bothering her, the thought of the spiky brunette with another girl. "Wait… Why does that bother me, that's not my business, and yet… I can't help but feel like this… Am I jealous?" She said to herself in her head. She was seriously starting to think she was indeed jealous, but she remained cool on the outside.
"Eh?!" Deku was really taken aback by this. Sora just glanced at her blankly with an arched eyebrow and blinking twice.
"I heard everything completely, you guys." Kyouka said to both of them. She looked cool and collected as she showed her earphone jacks.
"Those earphone jacks of Jirou-san are very scary!" Deku thought creeped out.
"First off, gossiping is mean, Kyouka-chan." Sora said to her with a small frown. "Second, none of us are, you got it wrong." He clarified what was a clear misunderstanding.
"Are they your friends?" Melissa asked the boys.
"Yep. They're also our classmates." Sora nodded in response.
"And it's clear there's some misunderstandings…" Deku said with a sheepish smile as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Melissa, these are our friends. Ochako Uraraka, Kyouka Jirou and Momo Yaoyorozu." Sora introduced her to his friends. "Girls, this is our new friend Melissa, she's just showing us around the expo." He explained to the girls with a smile.
"That's right! My dad and Uncle Might-" She tried to explain to the girls until Izuku interrupted her screeching loudly before pulling her down to crouch with him.
"Please, don't tell them that I came here with All Might…! And remember that they also don't know Sora's secret!" Izuku whispered to her with a sense of urgency and panic.
"I get the latter, but why not the former?" Melissa asked him.
"For many reasons…" Izuku replied, joining his hands in a begging gesture.
Meanwhile, the girls were glaring at the two of them, Sora was looking at them too slightly nervous.
"Ehh… Hehehe… Uh… They're just talking nerdy and sciency stuff, stuff I barely get. Yep they bonded quickly over that." Sora tried to cover up for Deku, sounding as natural as he could.
Momo and Kyouka glanced at him unconvinced and Sora just sweatdropped nervously as he giggled sheepishly. (They think they're sus…)
"I see." Ochako said to him, keeping that weird expression on her face.
"And… I just made it worse for Deku…. Dang it." And Sora realized he screwed up here. He mentally punched himself for that.
"Alright." Melissa obliged to Deku's request before she stood up again. "Would you like to go get some tea?" She suggested with a bright smile. Deku glanced at her with a very nervous expression, he was sweating bullets. Sora tried as best as he could to keep his head cool.
A bit later the group went to a restaurant nearby.
"Oh, all of you had experience working with pro Heroes." Melissa said to the girls. The four of them sat on a table and were now in an only-girls conversation while having drinks.
"It was just training and patrolling." Ochako said to her with a smile as she waved her hands in denial.
"I got stuck in an incident, but all I did was evacuate people." Kyouka told Melissa with a smile.
"That's still amazing." Melissa replied to her with a smile.
"For some reason, I ended up on a TV commercial…" Momo said, even now it still embarrases her a little about what happened.
"That's something that you don't do everyday. It's wonderful!" Melissa cheered her up. Momo smiled back at her.
"Tomorrow, we're planning on going to the pavilion where the academy's exhibition is." Kyouka explained to their new friend.
"It'll be really great!" Ochako said with excitement.
"Melissa-san, you also have something?" Momo asked her.
"Yes, of course." The blonde girl replied happily.
Meanwhile, Sora and Deku sat at a table near the girls. Both were relieved that things got resolved thanks to Melissa.
"That was close…" Deku said to his best friend. He was already mentally exhausted.
"Yeah… Too close." Sora replied, looking the same as Deku. "Good thing Melissa sorted everything out now. I guess girls can get along pretty quick, huh?" He added with a more upbeat tone. The greenette perked up and nodded at him smiling. "Although… It feels like we just got left out." Sora said as he and the emerald teen glanced at the girls talking happily to each other, making it seem like they totally forgot that the two of them were still there.
"At least Melissa-san made new friends." Izuku shrugged.
"Yeah, that's good at least." Sora smiled at him. "Say, since the girls seemed so entertained with each other at the moment, maybe we should tell them that we'll leave to look for Riku and then be back? For all we know they would just be talking for a while." He suggested that neither he nor Izuku would want to interrupt Melissa and the girls while they were having a good time with each other. Besides, Sora has still yet to actually start looking for Riku.
"Well…" Izuku looked upward as he thought about it.
"Eh!? YOU!?" Then both of them and even the girls heard a familiar voice screaming. When the teens glanced to look who shouted.
"Denki and Minoru?" Sora said surprised as the perverted duo stood there with looks of shock, both were wearing waiter outfits. Both carried a drink in their hands that was obvious to assume were meant for Sora and Izuku.
"What the heck are you-?!" The grape headed teen said pissed off before stopping himself "I-I mean, Sora! Good thing to see you here with Midoriya!" He said with a wavering smile.
"Y-yeah. Very very far away from home, who would have thought we would see you here from all places?" Denki said to him also with a wavering smile. It's obvious that neither of them expected Sora here at all…
"What are you two doing here?" Kyouka asked them with an annoyed tone.
"Huh? Oh. You see they needed halftime personnel for the exhibition and we applied. Right, buddy?" Denki replied, trying to remain as cool as possible.
"Uh-huh. We can take a break for a while, and earn extra money." Minoru continued playing it cool.
"That's cool, guys. It's nice to see you taking more responsibilities and earning more money, cause that's all you're here to do on top of checking out the expo during break, right?" Sora said to them, he looked as happy and cheerful as usual, but both perverts knew he was testing them and they DON'T want to answer wrong here.
Both nodded at him fervently.
"Oh, by the way, this is yours. Thanks for the wait!" Denki handed Sora and Midoriya their drinks with a sheepish grin.
"Can you give us a sec? It'll be just a moment." Minoru asked before he and his taller friend darted at a safe enough distance to talk privately. "Shiiiit! Goddamn it!" He cursed in a hushed tone "Damm! Why does this have to happen to us!? Why of all places, Sora had to be here!? We planned to come all the way out here just to get away from him and Riku!" He asked, enraged beyond belief. He couldn't just believe that a downpour just ruined his parade before it even started.
"Dunno man, but we can start forgetting about looking for hotties with him nearby." Denki told him nervously, both know what would happen if Sora caught them trying something funny with a random girl. "And dammit, cause the girls were with this hot blonde babe!" He bit his own thumb in frustration for the wasted chance.
"But hey! Sora's alone, maybe if one of us-" Mineta tried to suggest him, but Kaminari interrupted him,
"Nah, forget it, if Sora's around you can bet your headballs that Riku is somewhere nearby." The electric blond said to his midget friend with a dejected expression.
"Damn, it's true…" Minoru said with a deflated face, then both of them fell on their hands and knees as they started weeping comically for the ruined fun.
"WHY?!" Both of them thought at the same time as they could only ask why these things keep happening to them. (This never gets old XD)
Sora saw this and tried to suppress his chuckles, it would be mean to laugh at their misery, even if they earned it for being such assholes about the moves they tried to pull on girls. Izuku just sweatdropped at this.
As for the girls, Ochako and Momo's faces remained normal, while Kyouka wore a mocking smirk. She never gets tired of seeing those two idiots being put in their place. Melissa just blinked in utter confusion at what just happened.
"Do they go to the U.A. as well?" Melissa asked them, whispering.
"Yeah, they are two of our classmates." Ochako nodded.
"They are… Well, to put it plainly, perverts that often get in trouble." Momo added.
"That little nuince of Mineta more than anything, but don't worry, if Sora's around none of them will do anything less they want to be clobbered and every time he and Riku do is hilarious." Kyouka said with a smirk.
"Normally I wouldn't condone that, but given Kaminari-san and Mineta-san's track record… I really can't." Momo said to her. Ochako nodded in agreement.
"I… see." Melissa said awkwardly.
"Why are you stopping to talk?! If you want to earn money, then you have to work harder!" That was then that the speedster, Tenya, ran into the scene at full speeds. Kaminari and Mineta cried out in fear as the speedster dashed towards them, both of them tried in vain to get away from him.
"I-Iida-kun?" Deku asked, surprised as the robot-like guy rushed past the tables the group was in.
"You're here too?" Ochako asked, also surprised. When Tenya rushed past them, a rippling wind surged, nearly blowing off the drinks of some of the teens.
The engine teen had caught the two perverted waiters, both of them sat on the ground with scared faces as they looked up at the class rep looking down on them with his fists on his hips.
"'Sup, Tenya. What are you doing here?" Sora asked him with a casual smile.
"I came from a family of Heroes, so we received an invitation to the I-EXPO." Tenya began to explain as he turned around to look at his friend, flipping both of his arms up and down as usual of him. "But my family was busy, so I'm the only one that came." He concluded as he lowered his arms.
"You too, Iida-san?" Momo looked surprised to hear this. "I also received invitations because my father is a shareholder of the sponsors of the I-EXPO." She explained with a smile.
"And since Yaomomo had two extra invitations… After an impartial game, we were chosen to go with her." Kyouka explained with a happy smile as she leaned into Ochako.
Before coming here, the other girls played rock, paper and scissors to see who would go with Momo. Ochako and Kyouka pulled out rocks and the other three girls pulled out scissors, although for some reason Tooru used signs instead of simply putting on some gloves. Mina, Tsuyu and Tooru were really bummed about it, mostly the pink girl.
"Yep. The other girls also came to the island." Ochako explained after nodding.
"Really?" Izuku asked.
"That's very cool to hear." Sora smiled.
"Speaking of which…" Kyouka turned to look at Sora. "Since you're here, Sora, where's Riku? You guys are always around each other." She asked him, on one hand she felt spared of seeing Riku with a girl like Melissa, even if that misunderstanding was sorted out, but on the other hand she was really hoping he was here. She doesn't fully understand her feelings, or rather doesn't want to think about them, all she knew was that she wanted to see him, it's normal for a girl to want to see a friend that she admires deeply because he's the coolest ever… right? (Yep, Kyouka is still stubborn here.)
"I dunno. He's got to be somewhere in here with Shouto, though. I was actually thinking of looking for him with Deku." Sora replied.
"Of course he is…" Both Denki and Minoru thought with grim expressions. They just know that would be the case.
"Todoroki-kun is here too?" Ochako asked him.
Sora nodded. "He's the one that invited Riku here." He explained to his friends.
"I see. Good to know." Kyouka couldn't help but have a big smile on her face to know that Riku was in here somewhere. She knew it wouldn't be long before seeing him later.
At the same time in the city nearby, Mina, Tooru and Tsuyu were on their way to the hotel when the pink girl and the invisible felt a chill run down their spines, making them stop in their tracks.
"Mina-chan?" Tooru turned to look at her.
"Yeah, Tooru-chan?" Mina did the same.
"Dunno why, but I have the feeling that something cute just happened. You felt it too?" She asked her, having the gut feeling her friend did for whatever reason.
"Now that you mention it, yeah, I did." Mina nodded. "And for some reason I feel like the other girls are upset by something…" She added.
"Me too." Tooru nodded, although it was nearly impossible to tell.
"Wait…" Mina gave it some thought. "OMG! It's the ships! The guys must be here as well!" And after joining the dots in her head she figured that it was her tingling shipping sense that told her that.
"Aw man! And we're missing the cuteness!" Tooru said in dismay. Her shipping sense was also tingling.
"Dang it!" Mina said in frustration, first they couldn't go with Yaomomo to the expo and now they're missing that shipping goodness!
"Ribbit. You both need to stop shipping real people. It's weird.'' Tsuyu said to them with her usual blank face.
"You're no fun, Tsu-chan!" Mina pointed at her.
"Yeah, spoilsport!" Tooru did the same, although it couldn't really be told for obvious reasons.
Back with the others.
"We're planning to hang out together once the place becomes public tomorrow." Momo explained what she and the other girls plan to do tomorrow.
"You want me to show you everything?" Melissa suggested.
"Would you?!" Ochako asked back excitedly. Kyouka and Momo were also excited at the prospect.
"Sure." Melissa nodded with a smile.
"Hooray!" The other three girls cheered happily.
"T-take us with you too!" Then Denki and Minoru chirped in.
"O-of course just to take a look and not do anything weird!" Mineta then glanced at Sora with a nervous smile as he was sweating bullets.
"Yeah, what he said!" Denki did the same.
"Welp, that does sound like fun. You wouldn't mind if we tag along?" Sora asked Melissa with a smile.
"The more the merrier." The blonde girl replied happily.
"Nice!" Sora grinned. Deku also smiled. Then a loud boom was heard along with a brief shock in the area.
"W-what was that?" Deku asked as he and Sora glanced to the place where the explosion came from. A nearby area where a rock mount was.
Everyone went to the side, that was actually some sort of stadium of a game. Sora and Deku approached the railing as they saw smoke fading away.
"Complete time, 33 seconds! 8th place!" The referee of the game, Attack the Villains, announced as the holographic screens showed…
"Kirishima-kun!?" Deku was very surprised to see the hardening teen here.
"Eijiro!" Sora said with a grin.
"Guys, is he too…?" Melissa asked the two of them. The others were also surprised to see Eijiro here.
"Yep, he's another of our classmates." Sora replied to her with a smile.
"Now, the next challenger is…" The referee announced and everyone glanced down.
Deku flinched in shock when he saw… "Ka-Kacchan?!" It was his childhood friend who was walking to the stage of the game.
"Huh, so this is where they went." Sora commented not a single bit surprised to see the explosive teen unlike his classmates. He was wondering what he and Eijiro would be doing while he was off.
"Eh?" Deku glanced at him confused and so were his other friends.
"Now, Attack the Villains! Ready…? Go!" As soon as the game began, Kacchan shot himself forward with his explosions towards his target, which were robots scattered around the canyon. With a confident smirk he blew up one robot after the other in quick succession. "Die!" He shouted as he went for the last of them.
"Die?" Deku repeated in his mind as Sora just deadpanned.
Katsuki destroyed the last of the robots. "This is amazing! He did it in 15 seconds! He's in 1st place!" The referee announced in awe.
Katsuki landed back on the ground with a victorious smirk. He stood up and walked towards the exit as he scoffed at how easy the game was.
"Hey, bro! Sora's here and he brought Midoriya with him as well!" Eijiro said to him with a smile.
Bakugou glanced up and he saw that there was Sora now with that useless nerd in tow.
"Hey, you two. Looks like you're having fun." Sora said to him smiling as Deku beside him just chuckled sheepishly as he put his hand behind his head.
Next thing that happened Katsuki jumped at him and clinged to the railing with an angry look on his face. This spooked Izuku, making him fall over his butt. "Why are you here?!" He shouted at him. And then he received a bonk in the head. "OW! THE FUCK SORA!" He shouted at him, as Sora punched him in the head.
"You knew he was here, Kacchan. I told you." Sora said to him with a small frown, unfazed with the shouts of his explosive friend. "Now stop shouting, you're making a scene." He told him. Deku meanwhile was taking a few steps back away from Kacchan.
"Who cares about that?!" Katsuki shouted at him, Deku behind Sora recoiled, and then received another bonk in the head. "Stop that, you fucker!" He was now getting furious.
"Only if you stop shouting, or do you want me to clobber you again? You know I will if you provoke me." Sora said with a serious expression.
"Stop it, you both!" Then Tenya dashed in and got in the middle of them to stop them from fighting.
"Why is that boy so angry?" Melissa asked as she, Ochako and Kyouka saw how Bakugou now angrily argued with Iida as Deku looked scared and Sora just glanced at the explosive teen unamused.
"He's always like this…" Kyouka said with a tired tone.
"It's a predestined battle between men!" Ochako said with a serious frown. "And believe it or not, Sora-kun and Bakugou-kun are actually friends, they just have a weird way of getting along with each other." She added, it was still off putting for her and the rest of the class that those two are friends, but of course Sora's is good at getting to people so it wasn't impossible.
"Kirishima-san, both of you received invitations to the expo too?" Momo asked the redhead teen after she approached the railing and looked down to where he was.
"Nope, Sora was the only one who was invited since he won U.A.'s Sports Festival. Bakugou and I are just accompanying him." Eijiro explained pointing at himself with his thumb as he smiled.
"EH?!" The rest of the classmates were jaw-dropped to hear this.
"I-it's that true Sora?!" Deku asked him with a shocked face and the others were also looking at him shocked.
"Ohh… Eh hehe… I guess I forgot to mention that Eijiro and Kacchan came along with me… Oops." Sora sweatdropped as he smiled sheepishly, he was rubbing the back of his head with his right hand. He can't blame the others for reacting like that as it was sure a surprise that he would bring Bakugou with him, bringing Kirishima was far more plausible for them.
"Oh, Sora-kun…" Momo said to him as she and the other classmates glanced at him as if he did something really stupid.
"What? Kacchan here isn't any sort of private property or causing big problems, I know he can be really destructive on top of hot headed, but he's not a vandal or anything like that." Sora defended the explosive teen, who was gritting his teeth knowing that the others didn't like Sora brought him, the Keyblade patted him on the shoulder. " Riku and Deku already had a way to come here. Besides he and Eijiro are also my friends and they asked me to come along, they really wanted to, I couldn't say no." He continued to explain.
The others glanced at him with widened eyes. "Bakugou asked you…?" Kyouka asked incredulously.
"I can believe that Kirishima-kun would ask you to come along, but Bakugou-kun…" Ochako said to him with an unsure face, in fact the other classmates looked like he didn't believe the Keyblader.
"Weeelll…" Sora began as he put his hands behind his head with a catgrinish grin. "I might have made Kacchan ask nicely for it, please included." He concluded in a mocking tone.
"Oh, that makes more sense." Deku replied, he and the others found that more believable.
"Fuck you, Sora!" Katsuki shouted at him, enraged that he told the others about that.
"You're welcome for bringing you here along with Eijiro." Sora smiled casually at him as he patted him on the back. Bakugou just growled at him. "Glad to see you and Eijiro are having fun, although you might want to play that game again, you look like you need to vent out a lot of stress." He added with a smirk, putting both fists on his hips.
"I'm not stressed, I'm perfectly calm and relaxed!" Kacchan shouted at him, proving the contrary.
"Uh-huh sure, tell that to your face." Sora kept mocking him.
"Hah?! Die!" Bakugou shouted at him in the face.
"You just proved my point." Sora was unfazed.
"Whoa, whoa, chill Bakubro! Sora's just goofing around!" Eijiro said to him from where he stood.
"Yeah, man. I'm just messing with you." Sora said to him cheerfully, putting his arms behind his head. "You seriously don't like jokes, huh?" He added. Kacchan just glared at him, pissed off.
"Well then, are you all going to try this now?" Eijiro asked his classmates, pointing backwards with his thumb towards the stage of the game.
"It'll be no use. Since I'm definitely better than you!" Katsuki said with a frown as he looked at that nerd of Deku.
"Yeah, you're right, yeah." Deku replied with a nervous smile.
"But you won't know until you try." Ochako said to him with a thoughtful expression.
"Yeah, you're right…" Deku repeated absentmindedly. "Wait…" And then he realized what he just said.
Kacchan then jumped over the railing. "Then, hurry up and go for your pathetic results, you damn nerd!" He shouted angrily as he pushed Glasses and Sora away and got too close to the nerd's face.
"H-hai!" Deku had no choice but to concede.
"And you, Sora!" Kacchan then turned around and pointed at the Keyblader. "Don't you dare do this stupid game! You won't be taking this away from me!" He said angrily at him. He knew that if the sly fox tries, he would totally decimate his results to oblivion.
"Okay okay, I get it. I won't spoil your fun." Sora replied unfazed.
A few moments later, Deku came up to the stage.
"Now, we have a challenger who comes for the thrill of the moment! What kind of result will he get?" The referee announced as Izuku got ready.
"Since I decided to do it…" Izuku activated his Quirk, crimson vein-like markings manifested around his body until his whole body glowed and emerald bolts of electricity manifested. "One for All! Full Cowling!" And the emerald teen entered into his Full Cowling state, a brief burst of wind blew when he did.
"Attack the Villains! Ready…? Go!" And the game started and Deku dashed at high speeds, darting from place to place towards his targets.
Melissa gasped in awe. Deku dived towards the first robot. "To not hurt my arm… I'll just use 5% of my power!" He then punched the robot, turning it into scrap immediately! Without breaking the pace he dashed towards the remaining robots at high speeds until he punched and destroyed the last one.
"He's also amazing! 16 seconds and he's in 2nd place!" The referee announced. The crowd were in awe.
"Way to go Deku!" Sora cheered. while most of them smiled. Bakugou was taken aback by the very close results.
"He has an amazing explosive power. And his destructive power… is like Uncle Might's…" Melissa thought in awe as she and the others glanced at Deku walking out of the stage, rubbing the back of his head at the round of applause. "But…"
A bit later, Deku returned to bleachers where his friends were. Ochako pouted. "So close!" She said with a smile.
"That was amazing, Midoriya-kun." Tenya praised him.
"Yeah, you were awesome!" Sora did the same.
"I didn't think I would be capable of getting so close to Kacchan's time-" Deku was surprised, but proud of himself. However his line was cut off by Kacchan.
"The hell are you talking about?! That's impossible! I'll go again and leave you in the dust!" Of course the explosive teen would be pissed off at how Deku got only two seconds off his time.
"Wow, butthurt alert." Sora said out loud bluntly.
"Die!" Kacchan shouted at him.
"Yep. Butthurt alert." Sora repeated having proved his point.
Then there was a tremble, making everyone glance back at the stage.
"Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!" The referee was losing her mind as Shouto was now on the stage, casting out massive amounts of ice, engulfing the whole canyon completely in mere seconds! "14 seconds! He ended among the best!" She announced as the icy hot teen stood up straight, breathing out cold vapor. The public was wowed by his performance.
"Todoroki-kun!" Deku was surprised to see him, granted he knew Shouto was on the island, but it was still a surprise to see him appear out of nowhere.
"Shouto!" Sora on the other hand was smiling, happy to see another one of his friends. "If Shouto's here, then Riku's gotta be in here!" Sora started to look around and see if he could spot his best friend.
"Is he in your class as well?" Melissa asked the group of students.
"Yes!" Momo replied.
"You're all amazing! Just as expected from future Heroes." Melissa said to her new friends with a smile.
The girls wore humble smiles. "Oh, you don't have to say that." Momo said to her with a bashful smile.
That was when Kacchan took to the sky using his explosion. "You halves asshole!" He was now really pissed off at Todoroki.
"Bakugou." Shouto wasn't fazed at all as Bakugou landed right in front of him, creeping out the referee.
"You suddenly came up, trying to make everyone think that you're the best, you bastard!" Katsuki scowled at the icy hot teen.
Shouto uncaringly ignored him and glanced at the bleachers and saw the others. "Sora and Midoriya are here. And the others came in too?" He said not only finding two of his closest friends, but some of the others of the class too. He expected to meet Sora and Midoriya, Riku told him they would be here and both of them hoped to bump into them when they arrived.
"Don't ignore me!" Katsuki shouted angrily at the fact that the bastard just ignored him like that. "What the hell are you doing here too?!" He asked him, enraged.
"I'm here in representation of my father. I didn't come alone though, I brought Riku with me." Shouto replied calmly.
Katsuki only looked more angry at the reminder that the shitty Edgy Emo was also here on the island.
"Um.. the next challenger…" The referee tried to say.
"Shut up! I'll be next!" But Bakugou shouted at her, scaring her a lot. That was when he received a hit on the back of his head. "OW!" He cried as he held the back of his head.
"You really can't spend even five minutes without shouting, can you, Kacchan?" The explosive teen turned with a furious frown as Riku now stood there, appearing seemingly out of nowhere.
"Riku!" Both Sora and Deku said at the same time with happy smiles. The Keyblade Hero then jumped towards the stage with Deku right behind him.
Riku heard them and turned to look at two of his best friends with a smile on his face as he saw them rushing towards him.
"Sora, Deku. There you guys were." He greeted them with a smile.
Sora chuckled as he and Riku bumped fists before Deku did the same with him.
"Hi Sora, Midoriya. Good to finally run into you here." Shouto greeted them with a smile as well.
"Sup, Shouto. Same here." Sora greeted him. While Deku waved his hand at him with a smile.
"Amazing. He came out of nowhere! Is that Sora-kun's best friend, Riku?" Melissa asked the girls. She was amazed that one second no else was down there and the next Riku just popped out of nowhere.
"Yep. That's him. He and Sora-kun are two of the very best of our class." Ochako replied with a smile.
"If you think that we are amazing, then you would be speechless by Sora-kun and Riku-kun's prowess, they far surpass any of us in our class." Momo explained to her. Kyouka had her eyes glued on Riku with a bright smile on her face, she was happy to see him in here.
Back with the boys.
"Hey! Don't ignore me you assholes!" Kacchan shouted at the other four guys, pissed that he was ignored again. "And you pair of Key-freaks, don't meddle in! This is between me, Icy Hot and shitty Deku!" He pointed angrily at them. Deku flinched while the other three remained unfazed.
"What are you even doing here?" Riku asked with a frown.
"Err… I was the one that brought him along with Eijiro." Sora said to him with a sheepish smile as he rubbed his cheek. Riku glanced at him with an annoyed frown as Shouto just glanced at him expressionless.
"Why?" Shouto asked him.
"They asked." Sora shrugged.
"By that you mean Eijiro asked you and then you forced Kacchan to ask nicely, please included. Am I right?" Riku guessed correctly.
"Yep." Sora smiled as he shrugged.
"That makes sense." Riku replied unsurprised that Sora would pull something like that.
"Go to hell, you fuckers!" Katsuki shouted pissed off at both of them.
"Everyone, stop! The embarrassing secrets from U.A. will be exposed to the world!" And then Tenya came dashing to the stage to try to stop Bakugou from making an even bigger embarrassment of himself and his classmates.
"Y-yeah!" Then Eijiro jumped down onto the stage. What then took place was Tenya, Deku and Eijiro trying to calm down Katsuki and Sora, Riku and Shouto just stood there, though the Keybladers were smirking at the admittedly funny scene.
Melissa giggled at seeing this. The other three girls looked ashamed. The blonde girl noticed this. "Oh, sorry." Melissa apologized. "I was thinking that you guys have a lot of fun at U.A." She added as she glanced forward, the screens showed Katsuki being restrained by Eijiro as the former threatened that he would burn him.
"It's never boring, at least." Momo replied awkwardly.
"It's true…" Ochako and Kyouka said at the same time, they felt the same.
A bit later the boys came back to the bleachers. Kacchan saw with a bitter look on his face as the others approached the girls.
"Heh. Looks like we weren't the only ones who thought of this to start summer break, huh?" Riku commented to Sora with a smile.
"Nope, we weren't." Sora replied with a smile.
"Hey, Riku." The Silver Keyblade Master saw Kyouka approaching him with a smile. "Glad to see you here." She said to him.
"Same." Riku nodded at her with a smile. "It's nice to you guys here as well." He said to the rest of his friends.
"Excuse me." Then Melissa approached him. "You're Riku, right?" She asked him with a smile.
"Hm?" Riku arched an eyebrow in confusion.
"Oh right! Riku, this is our new friend Melissa, she lives here on the island." Sora introduced her to best friend.
"Melissa? As in David Shield's daughter?" Riku figured that was her and decided to play it along as he knew that he would be explained everything later by Sora and Deku if this is something All Might-related. "Nice to meet you, Melissa. I'm Riku Yasue." He introduced himself to her, extending his right hand at him.
"Nice to meet you too, Riku-kun." She shook hands with him with a smile.
"Say, are you enjoying I-Island so far?" Sora asked his best friend. "Deku and I've been having a blast in here." He added with a grin as he surrounded his nerdy friend with his right arm. Izuku nodded in agreement with a smile.
"Welp, it ain't like home, but so far it's been amazing, right, Shouto?" Riku replied before he glanced at his white-redheaded friend.
"Yeah." Shouto simply nodded.
Melissa giggled. "The world must feel small for you right now since you run into so many of your friends here." She commented with a smile.
Sora chuckled. "So true." He smiled.
"Yeah." Deku smiled.
Riku glanced at her with curiosity before he also chuckled at the joke. He could tell a double meaning there that went over the heads of the others. Of course if she knows the truth about Cloud, she would know his and Sora's.
"Hey bros, since you're both here now, how 'bout you try that game over there?" Eijiro suggested to Sora and Riku with a grin. "I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all wanna see you crushing it out there." He added. The others nodded in agreement, obviously looking forward to witnessing another feat from the 'Heroes of 1-A'.
"I would like to see your abilities too, please?" Melissa asked both of them with a cute smile.
"Well, if everyone wants that, I don't see why not." Sora replied smiling.
"And we can't really say no to a lady's request." Riku said in jest, smiling as he crossed his arms.
"Yep, gotta oblige." Sora played along. Melissa giggled.
"You go first, Sora." Riku said to him.
"Right on!" Sora replied with a determined smile before he jumped over the railing towards the stage.
Bakugou only growled with an enraged face. "Chill, man." Kirishima said to him.
Sora now stood on the stage of the game. "Alright! We have a new challenger ready to show his skills!" The referee announced.
"It's Melissa, right? Get ready to be hit in the face with some of the epic, raw, awesomeness you've ever seen!" Eijiro said to her with a hyped smirk as everyone watched as Sora stretch out briefly.
"Alrighty, gotta give it my all!" Sora then summoned his Keyblade and then he formchanged into Second Form as he got into a stance ready to begin the game.
"Attack the Villains! Ready…? Go!" The moment the game started, Sora vanished into thin air and then all of the robots were slashed in half before they exploded nearly at once! Sora then appeared back at the starting point as if he didn't leave at all, he just moved so fast he became invisible! "Unbelievable! He did it in just 7 seconds! He's unbelievable!" The referee and the crowd went crazy at this display of otherworldly power and speed.
Sora chuckled as he twirled his Keyblade in his hand before resting it on his shoulder. Most of his friends cheered in awe and excitement.
"Amazing! He moved so fast I didn't see him!" Melissa was rightly blown away, she knew otherworldly beings like Cloud were far superior in terms of skill and power than even seasoned Pro Heroes, but it was something else entirely to witness something like that.
"As expected from our champion!" Tenya cheered, smiling as he flipped his right arm.
"For a reason he's the best of our class." Momo smiled with a red blush on her face. Sora always looked cool when he demonstrated his amazing skills.
Kacchan just gripped tightly to the railing as he gritted his teeth. Smoke was coming out from his hands.
"Hey, you gotta admit that was cool, bro." Eijiro said to him.
Sora then jumped back to the bleachers to his friends as he returned to normal. "Try to beat that." After landing, he said to Riku with a confident smirk.
"Heh. Just watch, I'll remind you why you gotta stay on your toes, champ." Riku replied with a smirk of his own. He then jumped over the railing towards the stage.
"Deku-kun. You think that Riku-kun can match Sora-kun's time?" Melissa asked him with curiosity.
"Riku is basically Sora's equal, so he can. But even so, so far everytime they competed with each other, Sora always won, but by very little." Deku explained to her.
"You got a point, Midoriya. But Sora can't keep winning forever." Shouto said to him.
Bakugou then scoffed. "Sora always beats that Emo's ass." He said to Icy hot with a frown.
Riku stood on the center of the stage "And here we have yet another challenger! Will he be able to match the incredible time of the last one!?" The referee announced.
"You might want to stand behind me, I don't want you to get hurt." Riku warned her.
"Oh, er… Okay!" She took a few steps back behind Riku. The Keyblade Master then entered his Shadow Breaker mode. "Attack the Villain! Ready…? Go!" The second the game started, Riku casted light-infused ice from his left foot, engulfing the whole canyon almost instantly! "U-unreal! He just made the impossible time of 5 seconds! It almost happened instantly!" The referee and the crowd lost their minds at this insane display of overwhelming power from the Keyblade Master.
Riku stood there calmly and breathed out cold vapor like Shouto does as he returned to his base form.
The gang remained jaw dropped, granted they've seen Riku pull that sort of thing before, the surprising thing here was that Riku won this time around.
"Wow. That was just like Todoroki-kun, but faster and obviously more powerful." Melissa said in awe.
"I taught him that." Shouto said plainly.
"Bullshit! He just saw you do that and copied you!" Kacchan shouted at him.
"It still counts." Shouto replied calmly.
"No it doesn't!" Katsuki shouted at him again.
A moment later, Riku jumped back to the others. "How did you like that?" Riku smirked at his best friend. "Told ya, I would beat you." He added.
"That was cheating, man! You just pulled out a Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall!" Sora pointed at him upset.
"There weren't any rules about how to do it." Riku replied, still smirking. "So that puts the score 3-1 and soon it'll be 3-4." He added with confidence.
"Keep dreaming!" Sora replied with a competitive frown.
"Just like you'll keep dreaming about being taller than me?" Riku mocked him.
"You know I'll be one day!" Sora replied insulted.
"Uh-huh, keep telling yourself that." Riku smirked at him. Sora just glared at him with an upset frown.
"Hey, Riku." The silverette turned and saw Kyouka smiling at him. "Congrats for winning, about time. You were awesome." She praised him with a small pink blush on her cheeks.
"Thanks, Kyouka." Riku thanked her with a smile.
"Dude! You sure took Todoroki's thing and did it better!" Eijiro said, blown away.
"Heh. Yep, hope you're not offended, Shouto." Riku glanced at him.
"I'm not, the opposite actually." The half teen replied with a tiny smile.
"It's impressive that for once you defeated Sora in something not related to studies." Tenya praised him with a smile.
"Yeah, granted it was bound to happen someday, but it's still amazing." Deku said to him with a smile.
"Heh. Right." Riku smiled. "Just like old times when I was always better at stuff than you, eh Sora?" He said to his best friend with a gentle elbow.
"Yep." Sora nodded. "And like old times… I want a rematch now! And no overwhelming AoE's this time!" He demanded.
"Nope." Riku said with a smug smirk.
"Aw, c'mon!" Sora frowned upset.
"Nope." Riku repeated.
"C'mon, bro, don't be a dick." Eijiro said to him.
"If he doesn't want to, then leave him be." Shouto said calmly.
"Aww…" Sora groaned as his head dropped down.
"Don't feel bad, Sora-kun. You still have an advantage over him, you'll get him next time." Momo said to him with a reassuring smile as she patted him on the back.
Sora looked up to her. "Right!" He nodded with a determined smile.
"Sora-kun and Riku-kun are amazing, but are they always competitive towards each other?" Melissa asked Ochako.
"Oh yes, they are! They're constantly trying to one up each other." The round faced girl replied smiling. "It's a predestined battle between men." She said with a serious face.
"Well, boys will be boys, I guess." Melissa replied smiling.
Meanwhile, somewhere is at the expo at gate 66…
The group of men had successfully infiltrated the gate and tied up the guard as well as cover his head so he wouldn't see the assailants.
The leader made a call to his contractor. "I received the merchandise as planned." He informed his contact. "What? All Might? Do not worry. We'll take care of that." He said before he ended the call. "All Might is on this island…" He muttered to himself as he saw through the window as his men retrieve the merchandise from a container box.
At the central tower.
All Might was put on an advanced scanning pod as Dave ran a diagnosis of his condition. Cloud just leaned on the wall with his arms crossed as he waited for them to be finished. All Might was only wearing black shorts, his horrid wound on his torso was visible.
The results came in, which left David shocked. Cloud glanced at him silently as the pod opened up.
"What is going on, Toshi?" David asked his old friend distraught. All Might sat up in the opened pod. "Why did your Quirk's level decrease so dramatically?" The scientist showed a graph in the computer that showed the power level of All Might's Quirk, which peeked at its highest 6 years ago, from there it steadily decreased until it dropped down greatly, really close to the bottom. "Even after suffering severe injuries during your fight with All for One, obtaining these numbers so suddenly is too unusual. What the hell happened to your body?" David was rightfully distraught and shaken to know how much had deteriorated his dear friend so quickly.
Toshinori coughed slightly. "I've been a Hero for a long time, it's evident that my body couldn't hold out so long." He half lied. "I can't tell him the secret about One for All. If I tell him, Dave and Melissa too will be wrapped up in my fight against All for One…" He knew that his best friend was concerned and that he deserves full honesty, but he couldn't tell him as it would gravely endanger both him and his daughter.
Dave clenched his right fist. "At this rate, the Symbol of Peace will be only reason why Japan can maintain a criminality rate at 6% is because of you. Other countries have criminality rates over 20% on all scopes." The scientist said with sadness. "I longed so many times that you stayed in the United States…" He glanced at the ground.
Cloud, while feeling bad for his friend, remained silent as it wasn't his place to meddle.
All Might stood up from the pod. "There's no need to be so pessimistic." He said as he approached his friend. "There're many Pro Heroes with great capability, and there are many people that support the Heroes, like you." He continued as he put his right hand on Dave's shoulder. I can still be All Might a few hours a day-" He smiled as he pointed to himself with his thumb, but David interrupted him.
"But… It's possible that another Villain like All for One appears again somewhere and…" David said with a horrified expression.
"Dave." Toshinori told him, making him look at him in the eye. "For the sake of when that happens… Neither I have the intention to stop being the Symbol of Peace." He said to him with a smile on his face, then his expression turned serious. "Besides, there's still hope… For the will of One for All and the Symbol of Peace… It'll always be connected to the next generation." Even if his time as a Hero comes to an end, he shall be succeeded by the next Symbol of Peace one day…
"He's right Dave. Toshi ain't washed up yet." Cloud then approached them with a calm and collected face. "Besides, you still have me, Sora and Riku in this world. And we have not only the intention of protecting its people from the outside darkness from our world, but also from the one that came from yours, that is what a Hero does." The SOLDIER then put his hand on Dave's shoulder with a reassuring look on his eyes.
"That's right, Dave. We can count on Cloud-kun and the Keyblade Wielders to help us protect this world." All Might agreed with the youngest of the men. "Even as my strength wanes down, Cloud-kun's increases by the day, he has already surpassed me and if I ever need it, I know he'll be there, just like the Sora-shounen and Riku-shounen will be there for their friends and all who needs them." The skeleton-like man said with a smile.
"Well, it's a fact that beings from the other world like Cloud have a vaster growth potential than any Hero of this world, they have their own rules that have nothing to do with ours. It's evident that Cloud would have already surpassed you in your current state and with his immense growth rate, perhaps even he would reach your level at your prime soon enough. It's a marvel beyond anything I could have imagined " David replied to his friend.
"It's not just me, Sora and Riku have an even greater potential than mine. It's only a matter of time before they surpass me, even Toshi at his peak. I can see it already, Keyblade Wielders like them become stronger their hearts gain more strength from the connections and bonds they create, that is how they are so strong right now, and how they'll become even stronger in the future, to surpass the Heroes before them. And isn't that what a teacher desires for the next generation? I'm a teacher now and that's what I want for both of them, Sora especially. And even if the time comes for Toshi to retire, many new Heroes that he inspired would still be there to carry on, Sora and Riku included, they would inspire others to follow their example, they already are even if it seems like it's unreasonable and impossible. I know that they won't just be two of the strongest Keyblade Wielders, but two of the greatest Heroes there ever were. I know it in my heart." Cloud spoke with heartfelt truth, having the belief that the younger Heroes, the Hero of Light most of all, will one day surpass him and all other great Heroes before them.
"Yes. You're right, Cloud." David said as he and Toshinori smiled at him. "I'm glad to see how far you've come as not just a Hero, but a man. You're now a kind and caring person, it's almost hard to believe you were cold and dark before." He said to the SOLDIER with a smile.
"I'm still me. It's just I'm not chasing the shadow anymore, I'm holding on to the light that you all gave me, the light you surrounded me with." Cloud wore a sincere smile on his face.
"I see." Dave smiled at him, but then it was erased from his face. "Although… Even if you're right, this world cannot rely on you to protect it, you don't belong to this world and therefore you are meant to return to your proper world…" He said in a more serious manner, even if the SOLDIER and the Heroes of the Keyblade become stronger than All Might, they don't belong to this world, they will return home someday…
"If so, then they'll make the most out of the time they have here." Toshinori said with a confident smile. "The otherworldly Heroes would help us, until the next generation is ready to take their place, stronger than the current one." He added.
"Yep." Cloud nodded in agreement. "Sora and Riku wouldn't want to leave this world and it's people on their own if they are in need, neither would I. I really like this world, I feel at home here and it would be wrong to just cut it off and all of you like that when you helped me when I needed it the most, I'll return in any way I can." He said with determination in his eyes.
David smiled. "Well that's a relief. Although I'm sorry that there isn't much progress in finding a way to see you three back to your world, so far we only have the proof of the existence of other universes, you, but tinkering with the fabric of time and space is a long process, a risky one at that." He informed him with a tinge of disappointment and regret.
"It's okay. We're not in a hurry." Cloud replied not a single bit upset. "Sora said his friends, the Guardians of Light, back home are carrying on and protecting the worlds from darkness and any evil while he and Riku are gone. They're also looking for a way to create a safe pathway for them to return, if I stick around long enough, then I would also be able to return along with them." He explained.
"And you think they can make it?" David asked him.
"Sora's confident in them, so I'll believe in them too." Cloud replied with a serene face.
"I see." The scientist replied in understanding. "And what about your search for your enemy, Sephiroth? We looked all over the planet and nothing, have you found something during your time in Japan?" David asked him.
"I…" Cloud briefly glanced down, a flashback of the black feather he encountered sometime ago flashed through his mind. "I'm still searching." He half lied. He wasn't ready to confess that he does know where Sephiroth is…
"*Sigh* I'm terrified at the thought of someone as dangerous as that man running loose in this world and not knowing what he wants." David glanced down with an uneasy face.
"Indeed." All Might agreed with him. "Are you sure you have no idea of what he might be after? You said he represents the darkness within you." He asked Cloud.
"He is, but at the same time he's more than just that. I have no way of knowing what he wants or why he didn't act. All I know is that he's hellbent of dragging me down to the darkness or kill me if he can't." Cloud explained. "But I won't let him turn me to the dark nor anyone else, I'm ending this along with him once and for all. This time, I have others with me whenever I need, I'll know you'll be there." He declared with determination.
"Of course, my friend." Toshinori smiled at him as he put a hand on his shoulder. "You're not alone in this, you never were." He added as David also nodded at him with a smile.
"I know, thanks, for everything." Cloud thanked both of his friends with a sincere smile.
"It'll be hard when the time comes for us to say goodbye, but it has to happen someday." David said to the SOLDIER.
"C'mon now, Dave. Just because I'm leaving someday, doesn't mean we won't see each other ever again. I promise to come by and visit every now and again, by then I know there'll be a way back and forth." Cloud reassured him.
"Then you better keep it, Cloud." David extended his fist to him with a smile.
"You know I will, Dave." Cloud replied as both bumped fists.
Meanwhile the group of teens, minus Bakugou and Kirishima continued to hang out for the rest of the day, at one point Ochako used her Zero Gravity on Melissa to make her float for a bit, which she greatly enjoyed.
The sun started to set.
"For today, we'll close at 6PM. Thank you for your visit" And so the I-EXPO was closed for today and people started to leave as the day came to a close.
At the restaurant, Denki and Minoru slumped against the closed door. The electric blond sighed in exhaustion, both of them looked tired.
"It was just the pre opening and we're already so tired… Can you imagine how we'll be tomorrow?" The midget asked Kaminari tiredly
"Stop, I don't wanna think about that!" Denki replied, holding his head in despair.
"Mineta-kun! Kaminari-kun!" Both heard and looked forward to seeing Midoriya, Iida, Uraraka, Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, Melissa, Sora and Riku walking towards them. "Good work for today!" Izuku praised them as he waved at them.
"You both worked very hard today, right?" Tenya said with a pleased smile before he handed both of them tickets.
"What's this?" Minoru asked as he and Denki grabbed them.
"Invitations for the reception party." Momo said to them with a smile.
"Party?" Mineta asked shakily.
"For us?" Denki was the same.
"Melissa-san saved them for you." Kyouka said to them with a smile.
"She thought you should have a bit of fun." Ochako chirped in with a smile.
"I had a few, so please, use them if you like." Melissa said with a humble smile.
"Kaminari…"
"Mineta…" Both of their eyes started to well up.
"Our hard work has been rewarded!" The two said at the same time as they hugged each other and started crying comically.
"You sure it was a good idea to bring these two with us to the party?" Riku turned to Sora with a deadpan expression.
"C'mon Riku, even they deserve a break from being called out all the time." Sora replied cheerfully as he put his hands behind his head. "Besides, like Ochako said, after they worked hard they deserve a bit of fun and they'll behave, right guys?" He turned to look at the two of them.
"Of course!" Denki said grinned.
"We'll be really good, no lewd shenanigans for tonight, honest!" Minoru said grinning as well.
"Okay then, I'll take your word for it." Riku smiled convinced. "But one slip…" He then slammed his fist to his open palm. "...Got it?" He had to make sure they don't do anything stupid to the girls after all.
"Crystal clear!" Both said at the same time with a face that screamed: Please don't punch us again!
"Good." Riku smiled again.
"I heard that there also will be many Pro Heroes at the party. In order to avoid embarrassing the name of the U.A. Let's dress up in formal clothing and we must assist at the party together!" Tenya declared in his usual serious manner. "We'll meet up at 6:30 PM at Lobby 7 of the central tower! Make sure to arrive on time! I'll also get in contact with Bakugou-kun and Kirishima-kun." He informed his friends and classmates. In the background Melissa checked her watch and glanced at Deku smiling for she had an idea in mind. "We'll see you over there." And with that the speedster took off at full.
"Iida-kun is always at a good level!" Deku said with a big smile as he gave his friend a thumbs-up.
"Heh. Classic Tenya." Riku said with a smile as he pocketed his hands.
"Yep." Sora nodded smiling, he had his hands behind his head.
Later, the others went to the hotel they stayed at. The Hero Trio were walking out from it to talk in private.
"See you guys later!" The boys heard Ochako say to them from her floor.
"Yeah!" Deku replied as the boys were walking away.
"So, you guys'll tell me what I missed?" Riku asked his two best friends.
"Yep." Sora nodded.
"Deku-kun." The three of them heard and turned to find Melissa. "Can you come with me to some place?" She asked the greenette. "I would like you both to come as well." She then glanced at Sora and Riku. "And Riku-kun, you might already know this, but I know your secret, so feel free to talk about it." She said to him with a smile.
"Heh. Figured you would, since you know that Cloud is from another world. Honestly I'm honored to be friends with the daughter of such a renowned scientist and friend of All Might's such as your father." Riku said to her with a smile.
"Well, I'm honored to meet another Keyblade Wielder, although I don't know much about it, sorry." Melissa smiled sheepishly at him.
"It's cool." Riku waved it off.
"So you guys wanna come?" She asked the trio again.
"Sure, Melissa-san." Deku smiled at her.
"Lead the way." Sora said to her smiling.
Meanwhile at Sora, Katsuki and Eijiro's hotel room.
"Why would I go to a party? I'm not gonna listen to some guys I don't know, and then listen to some dumb speechs and applause. That's for idiots." Katsuki said as he dropped on his bed. He wasn't interested in going to some boring formal event in the slightest.
"I heard that we can eat all the food we want! Besides, Sora's going too, it's only right we also go!" Eijiro said to him cheerfully.
"It's not like I brought formal clothes, anyway." Kacchan commented as Eijiro walked past his bed.
"I knew you'd do that!" The hardening teen said. Katsuki turned to glance at him. "So I brought some for ya!" He held in his hand two sets of formal suits. "I also brought some for Sora, just in case." He added.
"You're always ready for everything, you crazy bird!?" Kacchan shouted at him pissed off as he knew this would end with him being dragged to the party. Eijiro just grinned.
At David's lab.
All Might put up his costume, he and Cloud now stood at the door.
All Might coughed for a bit. "Dave, we'll see you later…" He then buffed up ."...at the big party!" He concluded cheerfully.
"Right." Dave waved at both of them. Both Pro Heroes then turned towards the door and All Might was about to open it. "Toshi!" Dave then called out to him.
Both him and Cloud turned to look at him. "What's wrong?" The No.1 Hero asked.
"No, it's nothing." He backtracked in what he wanted to tell him. Cloud noticed, but decided to not pay it mind. "I'll see you at the party." He said to both of his friends with a smile.
All Might chuckled as he and Cloud left the lab, leaving David alone. The scientist sat on his table and pulled out his phone to look at the photo of All Might in his prime. He remembered the time he met Toshi during his youth so many years ago back in the U.S.A. There was an accident during an experiment in the lab he worked on, causing a fire, leaving him and some others trapped.
That was when Toshinori broke through the walls and got all of them out. After the whole ordeal David thanked him and introduced himself, when noticing that his clothes were too damaged, he made Toshi an outfit made with the newest materials at the time and from then on they became partners.
Toshi resolved any trouble that he found, he saved everyone in danger and defeated any Villain with a smile on his face.
"The Symbol of Peace?" David asked him that back then.
"The only thing I seek is a world where everyone lives and smiles. I want to become the Symbol of Peace to illuminate this world." That was what Toshi always wanted and in the end he achieved that dream.
David's nostalgic smile at the memory faded as he focused on the current reality of his friend. He glanced back at the picture of what was once…
Meanwhile, Cloud and All Might were walking through the hallways of the tower.
Seeing that they were all alone now, the SOLDIER decided to bring up a heavy theme he was sure Toshi knew he thought of speaking with him when they were alone. "I'm no one to tell you what you should do, but as a friend, you should consider telling Dave the truth, Melissa doesn't need any of this." He told him with a calm and composed expression.
This line made All Might suddenly stop in his tracks along with Cloud. The Legendary Hero glanced down. "Cloud-kun, I-" He tried to explain to him, but his friend interrupted him.
"I understand why, Toshi. But I can't help but think that it's not fair for him after everything you've been through with him, I mean take me for example, we haven't known each other for that long and yet I know the full truth, Sora and Riku do as well. We're outsiders of this world, we have basically nothing to do with you and yet we know everything about you, One for All, but one of the closest people to you doesn't, how is that fair? But like I said, I understand that it's to protect him and Melissa and Sora, Riku and I will leave this world one day so it's somewhat inconsequential that we know all of it." Cloud said to him being genuine about his feelings about the whole situation between Toshinori and David.
"..." All Might only glanced at the ground.
"Dave is worried for you, he deserves to know… But that's just my opinion, I won't tell you what to do nor tell him anything, it's not up to me. That's only something you and you alone can decide. I'll understand what you want to do about it, but promise me you'll at least think, okay?" Cloud concluded. All Might could only nod silently at him.
Cloud had nothing else to say and just walked off, leaving All Might there all alone "Dave…" His mind was conflicted about what he should do…
At an unknown area of the island…
"We got them. There were five guards. Everything's going according to plan." A group of masked mercenaries have captured, tied up and gagged five security guards before looking them up in a storage room. One of the mercenaries was talking on the talking radio to his leader.
"The security system is still working. Have them abducted without killing them." The leader informed the mercenary on the other end.
"Yes, sir. We'll start right now." The mercenary replied as he sat in front of an advanced computer as he ended the call.
"Everything's going well." The leader of the mercenaries said with a devious smirk before he put on a metal mask. Metal doors started opening up. "We'll also move out." He said to his other 7 men with him.
However, none of the men saw a dark portal manifesting behind them…
"This is the campus of the academy where I go." Melissa brought the Hero Trio to the campus she studies at. On the way, Sora and Deku told Riku what happened before they ran into him. He and Sora admitted the small jealousy they felt that Melissa considers All Might as her uncle, Deku also had to concede in that, the girl only giggled in response. "And this is my experiment lab." Melissa guided them to the door where her lab was. The door opened up automatically. "Excuse the disorder." She apologized as the four of them walked in.
"Wow, it looks very professional." Deku commented as he and his otherworldly friend looked around Melissa's lab.
"Yeah, it looks like your sort of place." Sora commented with a smile.
"I can't believe that you research in a place like this…" Deku said smiling. He and the other two noticed her trophies above a bookshelf. "Melissa-san, you're really talented." The emerald teen said, impressed.
"Yeah, you must be pretty smart." Sora was also impressed.
"Actually, I haven't been getting good grades…" Melissa admitted.
"For real?" Sora blinked surprised.
"The standard here must be exceedingly high, this is where people became scientists after all." Riku commented.
"Yes." Melissa nodded before she opened the door to a small storage she got in her lab. "That's why I'm always studying hard." She continued as she entered the storage. "It's also because I wanted to become a Heroine before that." She said as she was looking around her boxes for something.
The trio of boys blinked in surprise. "A Heroine?" Deku asked her.
"Yep, and I left that dream in time. I don't have a Quirk, after all." She admits offhandedly.
Deku gasped in surprise, Sora and Riku also looked surprised, knowing now that Melissa is Quirkless. "You're Quirkless?" Deku asked her.
"I didn't have a Quirk even after turning five years old, so I was taken to a doctor… They told me that I was one of the people that would never obtain one." Melissa explained as she kept looking for whatever she was looking for.
"Just like me…" This was something that deeply resonated with Izuku, it was nearly exactly how things went for him when he was told he was Quirkless… "S-sorry, I was just like you…" He muttered without thinking. Sora and Riku glanced at him as they heard him.
"What's wrong?" But Melissa didn't notice as she came back out with a tiny box on her hands.
Deku briefly looked at her. "Nothing…" He looked down, he was lucky that she didn't catch on that slip. Sora and Riku couldn't hold it against him as they knew how deeply that would touch the emerald teen. "The simple fact that you're told that you don't have something that everyone around you naturally has…" Izuku said to her, understanding pretty well how that feels.
"Yeah, sorry to hear that Melissa." Riku said to her with sympathies.
Sora nodded in agreement. "We heard that it can be rough for Quirkless people like you." Sora said with the same look on his eyes as Riku.
Melissa just smiled at them. "Of course, it surprised me a bit. But I had an objective that was on my reach." She said to them.
"An objective?" Deku looked at her confused.
Melissa turned to the personal pictures she has on her bookshelf. Most of the pictures were of herself and her father at different points of her life. (Here comes a sad fact, two of the first pictures she has is of Dave getting married and then the day Melissa was born, but after that her mother is absent, the most likely explanation is that she died when Melissa was really young. It's pretty heartbreaking if you think about it, for Dave and Melissa.) "My father didn't have a Quirk that allowed him to be a Hero, but he supports Uncle Might and other Heroes with the power of science. Indirectly, but he's fighting for peace." She explained.
"Someone that helps the Heroes…" Deku understood what the girl was saying as he, Sora and Riku were looking at the pictures.
"That is how I hope to become a Heroine." Melissa said to the boys with a hopeful smile.
Sora smiled. "Being a Hero is more than having powers, being a Hero is about doing the right thing for other people and the strength of your heart. So regardless of powers or not, we all can be Heroes in our own right. So you're absolutely right with that mindset" Sora said with a heartfelt tone.
"He's right, it's admirable that you want to be like your father and help those that save other people. That's another great way to make a difference in the world." Riku smiled at her as well.
"Thanks, it means a lot coming from great Heroes like yourselves." Melissa said with a smile in gratitude. "I'm really happy and lucky that I met you both and Cloud. Imagine our surprise when we find out that not only Cloud was Quirkless like me and dad and yet he had superhuman and magical abilities, let alone that he came from another world where people can have magical powers, yours being some of the most powerful and rarest and yet you start off as normal people like me. It's still a little unreal to know there is a whole different universe out there and It still amazes me to know that people like you earned your powers and became great Heroes that saved countless worlds and people many times." She said to the Keyblade Wielders.
"Well, Sora here should have most of the credit, thanks to him the universe was saved three times in a row." Riku smiled as he patted the spiky brunette on the back.
"Heh. But it's not like I did all of it on my own, you and the others helped a lot." Sora smiled at his friend.
"Right, but without you we wouldn't have ever made it. So you were the key player, no pun intended." Riku replied.
Melissa giggled. "You know, now that I know there are other worlds out there, I hope that one day, when the path is open, that I would see what's out there. See the worlds you've seen, the whole universe you both came from." She said to them. "Heh. Sometimes I even have thoughts that since you both gained magical powers then maybe there is hope for me, silly thoughts, I know. I also know that you would say it's a bad idea, but it's nice to have them now that I know Quirkless people like me can become much more." She added happily.
"Heh. Right." Riku smiled back at her. "Also, I know how you feel. It's a great experience to go out and explore what's beyond your known world, just don't forget who you are and where you came from." He added.
"And if it's possible, we might be able to give you a whole tour around our home universe, see our own homeworld and meet our friends, I know they would love you." Sora said to her with an optimistic grin.
"And don't think we forgot about you, Deku. We promised you that you'll meet our friend, didn't we?" Riku said to him with a smile
Deku glanced at him before a bright smile was drawn on his face. "Right." He nodded happily.
Melissa giggled. "Then I'll take your word for it, guys." She smiled. "I hope I won't have to wait too long for that day." She added.
"Same. I know you'll like our island, it's nothing like this one, but it's a peaceful and beautiful place." Riku said to her with a smile.
"I have the feeling I will." Melissa replied happily. She then opened up the small box, within it was a red bracelet. "I made this support item before, thinking of Uncle Might." She explained.
"Thinking of All Might?" Deku asked. His right glove was off and his sleeve was rolled up.
Melissa grabbed his exposed hand and put the bracelet on his wrist. "Try pressing this button." She told him, pointing to the blue button on the bracelet.
Deku looked at the item with curiosity before pressing the button. When he did the bracelet extended over his arm, turning into a gauntlet. He and the Keybladers were in awe at it.
"Cool." Sora smiled wowed.
"This is…" Deku said as he looked at the gauntlet covering his arm.
"If I were to give it a name, I would call it 'Full Gauntlet,' I guess." Melissa said to Izuku. The greenette looked at her. She had a more serious face. "When I met you and saw the scars on your hand and I saw how it seemed like you were purposely limiting your Quirk at the attraction, I thought that… maybe your Quirk is too strong and this is why your body can't handle it." She explained to him
Izuku and the Keybladers looked surprised. "She found out…?" The boy thought, he and the others hope she actually didn't
Melissa then smiled at him. "This Full Gauntlet is strong enough to endure three punches from Uncle Might. If you use this, I believe you can use all of your power without issue." She said to him happily.
"My...power?" Deku uttered as he looked as he raised his right arm. So she actually didn't find out…
"Please, take it." Melissa told him.
"But, isn't it something important?" Izuku glanced at her surprised.
"That's why I want you to take it. Become a great Hero that saves people in trouble, alright?" Melissa said sweetly at him.
Deku felt moved by this and then he smiled at her. "Alright!" He nodded at her, accepting her gift.
Melissa was happy that he did. (Good thing Ochako wasn't around to see this moment happen.)
"Alright then! A new support item to help you with your power output! You gotta give it a test run!" Sora said with an excited grin. But when Izuku thought about that, his phone rang. He brought it out and picked up the call. "Hello?" He asked.
"What are you doing, Midoriya-kun?! It's past the time we agreed upon! Hurry up!" It was Tenya on the other end that reminded him that by now he and the others were to be at the central tower for the party.
Everyone in the room was dumbfounded. "Dang it, we forgot." Riku said plainly.
The sun was about to set on the horizon and atop of one of the skyscrapers stood a certain man in a black coat gazing at the central tower.
"I-Island… A true testament of wonders of technology and what humans from this side of reality can accomplish given enough time. This world never ceases to amaze me, shame there's no time for touring." Luxu stood there, his No Name drawn out, as he observed with his one good eye and the Gazing Eye on his Keyblade at the central tower. "Hopefully Handy kid and the others won't mind me being off for a day or so, but got work to do and events to watch play out. I'm sure the kids will have a blast at tonight's party, I'm certainly gonna enjoy watching it." His vigilance over the events of this world continued and as night time fell the party was about to begin and it was sure to be one to remember…
