Chapter 29: Ceremonial Convergence

This story follows the events that happened after the following Steins;Gate titles. Steins;Gate, Steins;Gate OVA, and Steins;Gate 0. Also, there are situations from other Steins;Gate titles that inspired multiple events in this story.

So after a long while with work, I got some time to post this next chapter, but because of everything that has been occuring, I apologies for errors you find in this chapter and I will go back to correct them soon. I hope you enjoy in the end.

December 25th, 2021

After a couple days of planning, the day finally arrives. The day that the Future Gadget Laboratory has been waiting for quite some time; Christmas. However, that is not the only thing in mind for the Future Gadget Laboratory specifically. Today is also a birthday party for the founder of the lab, Rintaro Okabe. Although his birthday already passed with the incident with the American organization, it wasn't stopping his fellow lab members from throwing one for him. After all, every lab member is currently present for once since 5 years.

As it is morning, over at the Future Gadget Laboratory, the lab members that have been a part of decorations are all there, helping set a giant Christmas tree, and decorating it using a lot of items and ornaments. Since the tree is also very big, the lab members have to use ladders to help put on items high up on the tree.

"This tree is so large," says Luka.

Yuki smiles. "Indeed. But me and Faris thought for once with all the lab members here, we should go all out on everything we can do for this party."

"That right-nyan!" says Faris. "We must make this a party we will never forget-nyan!"

Then, Mayuri finishes placing a sign up over the lab room of the lab. "Mhm." She then turns to speak to someone else. "Thank you Nae-san and your Papa for finding this tree for us."

Who also joins the party for today, is Nae Tennouji and Yugo Tennouji. They acquired the tree for the lab members since they requested it for once. "Your welcome, Mayuri." says Nae as she holds little Suzuha.

Mr. Braun then comes from the main entrance of the lab doors with Leskinen. They are holding the cake together since it is heavy and the lab members wanted to bring it inside and put it in a giant refrigerator for now. "There. That should do it," says Mr. Braun.

"This box is large," says Leskinen. "What kind of cake did you guys make?!"

All the females in the lab smile and get back to work, while Maho decides to respond. "Lets just say it is a cake that represents the Future Gadget Laboratory."

Leskinen's eyes widen in curiosity. "Oh? I am now curious if this is also for Lintahlo's birthday."

"Mhm." responds Mayuri with happiness. "We want to make sure this is something Okarin will never forget. You will join the party too, right?"

Leskinen nods. "Of course. I need to see what Lintahlo and Kurisu give each other. This event will be history!"

Maho sighs. "You sure are determined to see that happened."

"Yes. As their former professor, I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Everyone then continues on to finish decorating the lab. Some of them also begin cooking food so it can all be ready by the time the party nearly starts. They set up tables, and unload presents from a van brought by Yuki and begin setting them all aside, as Christmas is still being set up.

However, as this occurs, Leskinen then gets a bit concerned for something after watching how much the lab members care for this party.

He then decides to walks up to Mr. Braun. "So, your Mr. Braun."

Mr. Braun sighs. "Seems Okabe told you a name that is not really me. However, yes that is me. But my name is Yugo Tennouji. And you must be Alexis Leskinen."

They both shake hands to greet each other properly. "Yes."

There is a pause. "I heard quite a lot about you. I am surprised you managed to deal with Okabe's delusional act while he was at your University."

"Well I get that quite a bit. However, as scientists, the only thing that really matters is what research we focus on and what is the goal. A person's personality doesn't really matter."

Mr. Braun chuckles a bit. "That is rather interesting. Since I'm not a scientist, I would never know that type of ambition."

"That may be true, but regardless of what we are, we always have some sort of ambition. Whether it is to protect or gain, we are always determined to make it happen."

"Well, that is true."

Leskinen faces then becomes serious. "Speaking of ambition and determination. I have someone I must do now, and it is important."

"Oh? And what would that be?" Mr. Braun wonders.

Leskinen hesitates a moment to respond, but he decides it is necessary to speak. "We need to talk privately. It is a warning after what you guys went through with my ex-assistant, Judy."

Mr. Braun's face turned serious, as this topic was very unexpected.

Over at the luxurious apartment, Kurisu currently takes a shower after working so hard on the gift she wants to give to Okabe. Then, she gets out of the bathroom and gets dressed up in her normal clothes. She puts all the tools she used aside and places them in her closet.

Over time, she does one final thing with the gift. She flips the switch and a noise occurs. This makes her happy, as whatever happened seems to work just right. She then puts the object in a box, and wraps it to hide the box. She places a note on the present and writes something on it. Lastly, she puts it in a bag and sighs.

She then speaks to herself. "Whew it is finally ready." There is a pause as she smiles for what is to come, but she also is a bit scared for the result. "I hope you will like this gift, Okabe. This will hopefully allow our bond to reach one step further together."

Suddenly, her phone begins to ring. Kurisu picks it up to see who it is, and it is technically no surprise, it is Mayuri. "Kuris-chan! Tuturu!"

"Hello, Mayuri."

"Hey Kurisu-chan, will you arrive at the party soon? Mayushii wants to show you everything we have done for the party."

Kurisu looks at the time, and realizes it is 2 pm. It is beginning to become a bit late. "Oh?! Thank you for reminding me, Mayuri. I was caught in my thoughts. I will arrive as soon as possible."

"Got it! Then I will see you soon. Bye bye."

"See you soon."

Kurisu and Mayuri hang up together. Kurisu then instantly gets ready and prepares to head out to the Future Gadget Laboratory.

As the sun descends from noon, Leskinen and Mr. Braun head to the top of the roof of the Future Gadget Laboratory. There, only they should be able to have privacy to talk about something important.

Mr. Braun thinks for a minute before beginning to wonder. "So, what is it that you want to say. You mentioned that incident which should be in the past, but you bring it up now, especially on Christmas Day."

"That is why I only wish to talk to you." says Leskinen. "Since you are part of Lintahlo's special army, I can assume you will take action to make sure his lab stays secure."

Mr. Braun gets a bit concerned. "The way you talk makes me wonder if everything is ok."

There is a long pause, as Leskinen gathers his thoughts. "Well, I am here to warn you about the organization that attacked Lintahlo's friends." There is another pause. "After Judy Reyes was arrested, Japan's authorities became upset and quickly found out who was behind the situation. The word quickly spread across the world, and now everyone became very wary of America."

"Well that is to be expected."

Leskinen sighs. "But, it is worse. America is now being shut out of world trades. Because of this, America is already at a crisis with just about every item that supplies the general population. So, the government has started turning to organizations that work for evil intentions."

"Well then what about that group that was a part of your organization?"

"Fortunately, most of them have been caught and sadly some have died while resisting. However….they are still not done."

Mr. Braun then realizes where this conversation is going. "Because you're telling me this, you are warning me about this same organization that they will make their appearance again, right?"

"Well that is the general idea of it. But, I have already gotten news from my side that some people who were left from that organization moved into different groups that I never heard of."

Leskinen then hands Mr. Braun a document of a sheet made by him and those who support him. Mr. Braun takes a look at the paper, and seems to be rather unusual in what he is looking at. However, as he reaches the bottom part of them page, a short list is shown that shocks him. He decides to read it as it is under the section of threats that is currently causing trouble. "So the current groups that we must be wary of are SERN being the more ideal culprit, but what is this system you put aside from them called ECHELON…...I never heard of this before.

Leskinen sighs. "I don't know that system yet myself. I only know it is a system that was once under US with the Five Eyes Alliance, but recently suspicious rumors were told that SERN has most control of that system and we don't know why."

Mr. Braun decides to then continue down the list. "Well then you have Stratfor which is not a surprise, but then you have Strategic Focus. What is this group?"

"Oh my bad, that is also part of Stratfor since that is what the organization for Stratfor is called."

"Well that is good to know." Mr. Braun then continues the list. "You then have DURPA. I however already know about them, but I'm not telling you why. Just good to know they may be involved now." There is a pause. "Lastly, you have three group I have never met other than NASA. NASA is however not surprising though since they are part of the American Government. But you have AH Toyko General Hospital, and Sumiei Academy." Mr. Braun's eyes widened. "These places are both in Japan."

"I wish I could say it is a joke, but it is not." says Leskinen with a bit of sadness. "These groups were found out by a few students of mine who went to their locations originally to study, but then, just a couple months ago, they found out that these places have a sinister group behind them. They may even have been the reason why the Future Gadget Laboratory was put in danger. They do after all reside in Japan."

"This would mean these groups may be part of Stratfor. Or they are allied together. But, are you sure about this? These groups are also under protection by Japanese Authorities."

"That is only a rumor at this time. I don't know much about them at all except what my former students told me. That is also why I want you to investigate these groups after the holiday events settle down. You are the only one I can trust right now since your part of Lintahlo's lab."

"You are already asking for a lot." There is a pause. "Well, I can do so if this organization is part of who attacked Okabe and his friends. However, what I don't understand is why don't you tell him this all yourself?"

Leskinen takes a moment as he looks over the descending sun on the city of Akihabara. He then turns to Mr. Braun. "Because, Lintahlo will have a birthday party and a Christmas Party. And after it finishes, I will have to leave back to America. I do not want to ruin his mind with worry already. Besides, I do know about his PTSD he has. He has shown it quite a bit during his time at Viktor Chondria University."

Mr. Braun sighs. "I can understand that reason."

There is a pause. Leskinen then feels relieved to tell an ally of Okabe about the current situation. Especially to someone who works for him. "Thank you for understanding. I worry for Lintahlo's safety and I wish the best for his future and that is why I told you this."

"Well, thank you for sharing this information. After the new year starts. I will research about this immediately."

"Then I leave that to you. Let me know if you ever need my help." Leskinen decides to take his leave. However, as he leaves, he mentions one final thing to Mr. Braun. "Oh I should also say this. Even if he was not involved in any of this and lived on peacefully, the future that awaits for the world will fall if something is not done. Whoever this enemy is, they seem to want something that will cause world casualties."

Mr. Braun watches as Leskinen heads back. He takes a moment to understand everything told to him. "It is just more trouble that can come to Okabe, huh. Maybe I should raise his rent for this, but that breaks our deal we had years ago." There is a pause, as Mr. Braun begins to head back.

Ah the sun begins to set. Okabe just recently left the old lab, and begins heading out and walking to his next destination, the Future Gadget Laboratory. While walking, he looks at his phone and messages Mayuri that he is heading over after the unusual invitation. Mayuri then responds to him saying ok with a smile emoji.

Okabe then puts away his phone and thinks to himself. "That is strange that she wants me to head over to the lab. Not only that, but even Luka emailed me to not arrive at the lab during the day." He then speaks up with his persona. "Maybe they are planning to show me a future gadget of some sort that will benefit the legacy of Hououin Kyouma. Or could it be something much greater? The fact that they are at the lab means they are definitely creating something important. Then I must head there at once!"

There is a pause, as Okabe puts aside his persona. "Well, I hope I can give Kurisu the present I got her. I hope she will especially like it, and that is because I wanted to give her this for a long time now. However, nothing like also preparing…..for the opposite."

As Okabe continues walking, he passes by the Radio Building. There, Suzuha looks from the top of the roof. She watches Okabe walk away, and this makes her sigh in relief for something.

She then decides to head to the time machine, and calls for Kagari. "Kagari?"

She is a bit sad still, but she responds. "What….?"

Hearing her respond with her current tone makes Suzuha feel bad still for making her stay here. She knows how much she cares to be around Okabe, and especially since she has spent a considerable amount of time with him already. However, now that Christmas is here, the day has arrived. "Hey, will you come with Big Sis Suzuha this evening?"

Kagari is a bit confused. "W-Why….."

Suzuha then smiles. "I want you to see something. This will be the day you will never forget."

Just before the party is close to being ready, Kurisu arrives at the Future Gadget Laboratory. She becomes very shocked by all the decorations and all of the signs posted up. They are so well made and it looks like it took some very hard work to make.

"Kuris-chan! Tuturu!" says Mayuri.

"Hello everyone." There is a pause. "You guys made so many decorations….."

"Of course we did," says Maho. "Everyone wanted this party to be the best there ever was."

"Oh? And I'm surprised you actually helped a lot with this. You normally wouldn't do this stuff due to your struggle to socialize."

Maho gets a bit upset. "H-Hey! I can of course socialize! I just didn't before due to how much I would focus on research rather than focus on recreational activities!"

"Well….That is true." Kurisu then takes a moment to look at how much the lab members put their time into making the place a party unlike any other. "I like what you all did with the decorations, the food, and getting all the presents. I'm surprised you're here and helped out too, Professor."

Leskinen then steps forward. "Of course. This is a day for Lintahlo and his friends to enjoy. Although I am just because I was invited, I wanted to help make this party a success for the next Einstein. Besides, I have some things I wanted to see myself."

"Oh, like what?"

He puts on his teasing tone. "Well, I want to take pictures of you and Lintahlo giv-"

Suddenly, his words get cut off by Maho and Daru who restrain him from saying anything naughty. "D-Don't worry, Kurisu! He is already drunk and saying stuff that is not like him!"

Leskinen becomes sad as he wants to say what he wants to see.

Kurisu is confused by what they mean, but she will probably never find out in the end.

Then, the time reaches 6 pm. The clock rings to signal everyone it is about time for the party to start. Faris speaks up. "Ok everyone! It is time to hide and get ready for Kyouma! We must surprise him-nyan!"

Soon enough, Okabe finally arrives at the front doors of the future gadget laboratory. He is wondering why the lights are on when no one should be in here. He thought a party was going to be in the old lab which he wanted to be at, but he was told to arrive here.

Inside, Okabe follows signs that give him the direction he needs to go. Each time he passes one, things become suspicious for him. He then speaks to himself with his persona. "Things are very unusual. I feel like I am being led to a place that will cause trouble for Hououin Kyouma. If that is the case, then I will give them what they want. I have a surprise that this unknown enemy will never forget."

Eventually, he reaches the last sign. He takes a moment and takes a deep breath. He believes whatever is through the doors to the massive room in the lab, it will be trouble. After not backing down, Okabe walks in, and sees a dark room. He doesn't know who is here, so he shouts. "Who is here?! If your an enemy, Hououin Kyouma will destroy every last time about you until the last atom has ceased to-"

Suddenly, the lights turn on, and everyone and the lab member and guest pops out from the tables. They were hiding from Okabe to surprise him for this party. They all then say the same thing. "Merry Christmas, and Happy Late Birthday!"

Okabe freezes for a moment to figure out what just happened. However, he quickly realizes what this is all about. "Everyone…..what is all this?"

Faris speaks up. "Well, this is a party for Christmas Day-nyan. We want to be special since everyone who is part of this lab is here for once in a long time-nyan!"

"Also, we didn't have your birthday after what happened with those bad people," says Mayuri. "So, everyone decided why not celebrate it on Christmas Day! That way, we all can enjoy a huge party unlike any other."

Okabe stands in silence for a moment. He thought this would never happen this year, but they actually never forgot and instead decided to celebrate it on the day of Christmas as well. "Are you guys serious…?"

Everyone nods in agreement.

This then makes Okabe feel so happy and that everyone cares for him so much even after what happened.

It is revealed that Okabe did have a fear within him after the incident with the American Organization. Because of what he put all of the lab members through, he thought they would be scared to stay around him. Throughout the past couple of weeks almost, he wanted to stay away from everyone after they were close to being put in danger. What's more is he thought Kurisu wouldn't want to be around him and she was just trying to hide her real feelings. He thought they would all leave at some point. However, all along they all still care for him and they still are happy to throw parties like they always would. He was just overthinking is really it.

But, since this was a lot to take in and he didn't want to express all of his feelings, he puts on his persona and responds. "Fffffffwwwwhhhhaaahahahahaha! Of course! This is to be expected! This is the choice of Steins Gate! Hououin Kyouma will always be recognized one way or another!"

Kurisu sighs. "And there he goes with his act."

"Your right," says Daru.

Luka laughs a bit. "Well, this is expected of Kyouma-san."

Okabe then stops with his act and responds with honesty. "But, I thank you all for throwing this party. This was expected of my allies of the Future Gadget Laboratory. This will definitely be a day we will all and especially the insane mad scientist, Houou-!"

Everyone then suddenly says it together. "Hououin Kyouma."

This makes Okabe a bit upset. "Hey! How dare you all interrupt me!"

"Sorry," says Mayuri with a smile.

Okabe then clears his throat and continues. "Anyways, this will definitely be a day we will all and especially the insane mad scientist, Hououin Kyouma, never forget!" There is a pause. "Now, lets us enjoy this day!"

However, there is one thing they are missing. This makes Moeka speak up a bit. "But, what about Kagari?"

Okabe then realizes what else he wanted to say with Moeka's question. "Ah. Well Kagari will be joining us late today."

Everyone sighs in relief. "That's good. I was worried for her ever since a couple of days ago."

"Mhm." says Mayuri. "She just suddenly left for no reason."

Okabe is shocked as everyone that is part of the Future Gadget Laboratory cares and worries for Kagari already even after being gone so suddenly for a couple of days. However, he then smiles as this is no surprise for his friends to be like this. When they get to know someone very well, they are like family to them. "Don't worry, everyone. Kagari left suddenly to take care of a few things, but she will be back. So, I suggest we wait a bit longer so she can enjoy the party with us from the start."

After everyone looks at each other for a moment, they all agree and respond. "Ok!"

Around 15 minutes pass, and everyone sits around chatting inside the lab. They decide to help set up all of the presents around the huge Christmas tree they have, so it can look so cool and so they can all take pictures. As they do that, Maho notices Kurisu just as she leaves the lab, heads off to the front doors of the Future Gadget Laboratory.

Outside, it is snowing, but not windy. Okabe is outside, sitting on a bench that is used for when the bus arrives at the place. It is basically like a bus stop. He however has his eyes closed, and sits still to enjoy the snowing falling down. It is like a peaceful snowstorm that makes Okabe feel relieved to be alive in the true worldline. The past he experienced is an eternal haunting that tries to overwhelm his brain from PTSD, but he knows that cannot be allowed. He is after all, Hououin Kyouma.

Then, the doors to the lab open, and shoes step over the snow as they approach Okabe. Then, a voice speaks up to him. "What are you doing here, Okabe?"

Okabe opens his eyes to see who just spoke and it is Kurisu. "O-Oh, Kurisutina. I am just sitting here and waiting for Kagari to arrive. T-The future Suzuha they will be walking over here to drop her off."

"I see..."

There is a long pause. Kurisu and Okabe sit next to each other, look at the sky as snow falls to the ground. The long silence gets to them as they feel awkward being together, and alone. Another minute then passes, and the silence is just more awkward than ever. They are boyfriend and girlfriend, but yet this feeling still gets to them. They don't know what to do.

So, Kurisu decides to build up some courage to ask Okabe something. "H-Hey, Okabe. How do you feel about this party?"

Okabe thinks for a moment before responding with a slight smile. "This party is so like you guys. You always love to have parties whenever there is a special holiday."

"That's true."

"However, I did not expect to have a birthday party even after what happened with the enemy organization. That was something I could not even predict."

"Okabe….."

He then puts on his persona. "However! This must be the choice of Steins Gate! That choice influenced my allies of the Future Gadget Laboratory to throw down a party for the greatest mad scientist to ever exist and walk on this planet!"

Kurisu sighs. "And there you go hiding your feelings with that mad scientist act."

"I-It is not an act! It is true! You out of all people must understand that, Assistant."

"Well, after all these years we know each other, I understand what you mean. I just wonder why you couldn't just simply say what you mean. Well, not like it bothers me…"

Okabe is then suddenly caught off guard for a moment by what Kurisu just said. "H-Huh…..?"

Kurisu for a split moment wanted Okabe to ignore what she just said. However, because they are alone for once in a while, and she already had said something important accidentally, she gathers up the courage to say something she always wanted to tell him, especially at this time of year. "I-I…...miss you…"

Okabe is shocked. "W-What…...do you mean…..?"

Kurisu's embarrassment grows, but she wants to say it regardless. "I miss you Okabe. I want to be with you more everyday since I moved to japan for good. I wanted to bond our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend, because no matter how you act or what you do, you are Rintaro Okabe. You are the man who I wanted to be by my side. However, my lack of confidence to tell you what I feel prevents us from moving forward…..."

"Kurisu…"

"You also began taking care of Kagari for a while and I understand after everything we know about her and her situation so far. However, I just wished there was room to have time with you, you and me alone." Kurisu then reaches the limit to say more. Her embarrassment is too high and she stops and looks down.

Okabe takes one good moment to gather every word Kurisu said to him. He never expected her to say that out of nowhere, and at this very moment. This makes his heart race as he just heard something Kurisu would never say to him generally. This means what she just said is the absolute truth and nothing less.

With that, he takes a deep breath, and gathers his courage to walk up to her, and hug her.

Kurisu gets caught off guard as she is shocked by his hug.

"I'm sorry Kurisu. I am also at fault. I also wanted to tell you everything and how I really feel about you, but my lack of confidence also gets in the way, so you can say we both are very similar. What you desire most right now is what I also wanted this whole time. Of course, Hououin Kyouma gets in the way and I have been taking care of Kagari ever since she arrived."

Kurisu hugs Okabe tightly as they both enjoy a moment together. They both smile as this might just have been the biggest peak they have ever reached for each other in a long time.

Then, Kurisu lets go and decides since they have reached this moment and that they are alone, it would be the perfect time to give him something while she is still feeling confident. "W-Well…..I want to give you something." She pulls out a small box from her coat she is wearing and hands it over to Okabe. "Here, this is my birthday and Christmas present to you."

Okabe becomes curious about the box. "What is it?"

"Open it to see."

He does just that. He gently wraps the present and opens it with care. What is revealed is to be something he would have never thought ever, especially from Kurisu. "K-Kurisu? This is…."

"This is Future Gadget Number 12: Darling You Idiot, Version 2. This gadget is still the same with more additions. It now has a heart monitor implemented to it so you can hear or see how your partner is doing with heart rates. It can also act like a phone to screen time the person also wearing the gadget, and the important feature of all. If your partner hasn't spent time with you and your emotions are detected by the gadget, the same shocking mechanics we know very well will make the gadget nearly impossible to take off. Though, the range before you get electrocuted has increased to 60 meters."

Okabe gets a bit unsettled by everything he just heard and puts on his persona. "So you were so love sick for me that you invented this gadget just so you can keep me much closer than ever?! This is madness!"

"Y-Your wrong! I just thought this would be a present so we can always be closer to each other…..than ever….."

"You even just said it yourself, Kuristina!" There is a pause, as Okabe thoughts reveal in the end, the consequences didn't matter, because it was a present from Kurisu. It is the same gadget that helped bring him and Kurisu together back in 2013. He believed this gadget was intended for couples only, and that if either partner became lonely, FG number 12 would help resolve it. He thinks this is what will help to some extent with his relation with her.

Okabe smiles, and responds. "Well, thank you for the gift Kurisu. This gadget is like a memory of the past that was meant to be. I will cherish this unlike any other."

Kurisu smiles, as she is glad it is a gift he is willing to take without worry. It is then revealed that her intent with the gadget was to be a memorial gift of what helped bring them together to reach the next phase of their relationship. However, there should of course be more to the gadget than just to be a reminder.

Okabe puts on the gadget and turns it on, as he questions one thing. "However, where is the other pair to this Kurisu?"

Kurisu becomes a bit embarrassed as he uncovers her left wrist. She reveals to be wearing the other pair already and it is already turned on.

Okabe becomes shocked. "Hey, don't tell you…"

"Yes…..I already have it on."

He then sighs. "You are reckless as ever, Assistant. You didn't even consider how I would feel about this first before putting it on." There is a pause. "Well it is ok. So far it seems the shocking mechanism hasn't activated yet so we are alright for now." There is a pause.

Now that everything has settled down, Kurisu begins to get a bit cold after feeling hot from embarassment, so she wants to head inside. "W-Well Okabe, I will head back inside. Hopefully Kagari will be here soon. Don't stay out too long."

However, just as Kurisu turns away, Okabe grabs her by the arm. "W-Wait….." He says.

"W-What is it?"

Okabe hesitates for a moment to say what he wants to say. He knows what he will say will change everything. However, after what he and Kurisu talked about earlier, now will be and most likely be the only time to do so. This is his only chance, the choice of Steins Gate. "I-I want to give you something as well." He pulls out a small box from his lab coat and hands it to her.

Kurisu is shocked by how small the box is, yet it is a present for her. She wraps it gently and slowly opens the box. As she does, a light for a slight moment shines in her eyes as the brightness was very sudden from the reflecting light of the sun. Then, as she regains focus, the shining object, reveals another item unlike any other. "O-Okabe…"

"Yes, this is a ring, and a very expensive ring at that." There is a pause. "Kurisu, will you accept this ring, to become the future wife of Hououin Kyouma?"

Kurisu's eyes widened in shock. "O-Okabe…..are you…...really…."

He then gets a bit frustrated with him. "Well I don't know how this stuff works, so I thought this would be the best. I can't express how I feel and what I normally want. I just hope you can understand what I'm trying to say." There is a pause. "Kurisu, will you marry me?"

As the question echoes through the air, the gadget on Okabe and Kurisu begins beeping fast as that represents their heart rates. However, they ignore it, as words are more important than anything else.

At long last, the one question that Kurisu wanted to hear more than anything from Okabe came to light. She has always wanted to marry Okabe for so long and the same goes for him.

After a long moment, Kurisu tried to hold back some tears, but she couldn't. She was very happy to respond. "Yes. Yes, Okabe. I will marry you."

Okabe becomes overjoyed, as he decides right away to give a kiss on the lips to Kurisu. Kurisu closes her eyes as she enjoys everything going on.

Far in the distance, a surprise is revealed. The future Suzuha and Kagari have been watching this whole time with special glasses to zoom in. They were watching this whole time between Kurisu and Okabe.

Kagari then takes off her glasses and is in shock. "Papa….."

Suzuha then takes off her glasses and responds. "You see now, Kagari. That is why I wanted you to avoid interfering with Uncle Okarin for a few days."

"So then this is the day everything happened….."

"Yes. This is the day you always wanted to see for yourself. Now that you remember everything, I hope you understand everything about our mission."

Kagari is in shock. "Wow…" Then, she remembers everything about something. She remembers the person closest to her in the future telling her stories about the events that took hold to advance their relationship further and beyond. This includes the same gadgets that she saw on display and she was never allowed to touch. Then, at last it is also revealed, the female scientist, the one behind her interactions everyday, the one who always took care of her, is revealed to be Kurisu Makise, the one she remembers clearly as Mama. "So today is the day Papa asked Mama to marry her."

"Right. So, what will you do, Kagari? Will you help me on this mission with what we must do, or will you do something else."

Kagari takes a moment to think this through, before coming to an answer that makes her feel confident.

Over with Kurisu and Okabe, Okabe just finished putting on the engagement ring on Kurisu's ring finger. Kurisu smiles and cleans her tears. "There, that is what you do when the girl says yes to marry you. You must put the ring on for them."

"This is some unusual stuff for Hououin Kyouma," says Okabe. "I will keep note of this to advance my knowledge in human culture!"

"I'm sure you will."

Then, far out in the distance, Kagari shows up and calls for Okabe. "Papa!"

Okabe turns to see her. "K-Kagari? When did you get here?"

She then hugs him. "Just now! I missed you so much!"

He smiles. "I missed you too."

Kurisu smiles to see this moment of them together.

But then a new thing occurs. Kagari then looks at Kurisu and cries to her as well. "I missed you so much, Mama!"

The words of Mama resonate with Kurisu and Okabe, as this really becomes something they didn't expect. "Mama?!" They both say.
