She cringed at the rawness of her throat.
"It is of no consequence."
She sat back, exhausted from the force her body had used to expel the waste now littering at her feet.
She gasped in surprise when she felt a hand grip her at the bend of her knees and at her side. Her hands scrambled to make purchase, and landed in the soft fur of the pelt that lined his shoulder.
"There is a river nearby where you can cleanse yourself before you return to your rest."
She nodded and allowed her head to lean against him, enjoying the gentle sway of his steps.
