RAW is WAR: 2/2/1998
RAW is WAR was live at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana. The RAW intro video played and the opening pyro had gone off to kick off the show.
"Hello again everybody and welcome to WWF RAW!" JR says to those watching at home. "We are live in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Market Square Arena which is sold out to the rafters. And what a night this is going to be!"
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf hits to a pop from the fans as the lights change to dark red and dark blue and the Bladewolf walks out, making his way towards the ring with a serious glare in those demonic eyes of his.
"And here he comes, the Demon Wolf, the Devil's Wolf, a demon in human skin." JR says. "The man who has been so dominant since arriving here in the WWF, with so few losses and more victories right now. This is the Bladewolf, the younger brother of Undertaker and Kane, the man who wants to be the next WWF Champion."
Bladewolf gets onto the ring apron and enters the ring over the top rope, fixing his coat when he did so. Bladewolf gets a microphone as his theme dies down but the lights stay the same.
"Since my arrival here in the World Wrestling Federation...I have been unstoppable." He begins. "I have proven I deserve a shot at the World Wrestling Federation Title. I want that shot on the grandest stage of them all...WrestleMania 14." he heard the crowd booing but it wasn't directed at him, so he looked up the ramp to see Vince McMahon coming down toward the ring.
Vince enters the ring with a microphone in his hand.
"Now Bladewolf, I admit you have been dominant and destructive since arriving here last September, you have won more than you have lost and that does deserve a Title shot but the last time you were offered one...you weren't able to win it due to Shawn Michaels disqualifying himself. Maybe you should wait until after WrestleMania and face whoever is Champion afterwards."
"Wait huh?" Bladewolf said slowly. "I have waited enough, I have beaten the best this business has to offer me, I eliminated eight men in my first Rumble match, was one of the final two men in it, and I defeated Triple H at Survivor Series last year. In my opinion...I deserve a shot at the title and I will get that title shot whether you like it or not. My time is now, and my era begins when I take that title. Consider this your first and only warning, you get in my way...you are going to wish you never parted your lips to me in this ring."
Vince nods slowly as an idea forms in his head. "Alright, Bladewolf, if you want a title shot then you must prove yourself one more time."
"In what?" Bladewolf growled out.
"Tonight you will be in a tag team match against Vader and Marc Mero. Your partner will be none other than your own brother, Kane!" The crowd pops at this news while Bladewolf shows no reaction.
"What? Bladewolf and Kane teaming up together?" Lawler says with shock.
"Kane and Bladewolf taking on Vader and Marc Mero tonight? What a main event that's going to be!"
Bladewolf walks forward then gets in Vince's face. "I do this, I get added to the WWF Title match at WrestleMania. You better keep your promise, McMahon, because if you don't...you will go through all kinds of hell in 1,000 different ways, And believe me, each one is worse than the last."
With that said, Bladewolf drops the microphone and leaves the ring as Vince looks scared, as if the Devil himself just appeared before him. Bladewolf's theme starts up as the Demon Wolf begins heading back up the ramp, trench coat swaying as he walked.
"Kane and the Bladewolf as a team? You think they can cooperate?" Jerry asks JR.
JR shrugs. "I do not know, King. Last week the two battled one another, this week they are partners against two men they've had issues with. Kane attacked Vader after his match last week, Bladewolf stole Sable from Marc Mero and has beaten him numerous times. But...Kane and the Bladewolf as a team, that is something that will put nightmares in children for weeks, those two destructive monsters as partners."
"Imagine if they remained a team and went for the Tag Team Titles." Jerry said. "Nobody would be able to stop them!"
Later
It was time for the Main Event.
Vader's theme plays as Tony Chimel begins introductions. "The following tag team match is scheduled for one-fall! Introducing first, from the Rocky Mountains, weighing 458 lbs, The Man they call...VADER!" The Mastodon steps into the ring as Marc Mero's theme hits and he comes out. "And his partner...Marvelous Marc Mero!"
"This sis something I never expected to see happen, JR."
JR nods. "I agree with you, King, we all saw what happened when we thought Kane had reunited with the Undertaker."
The lights go out and Kane's theme plays before the stage pyro goes off and out comes Kane with Paul Bearer. "And their opponents, first, accompanied to the ring by Paul Bearer, weighing in at 326 lbs...KANE!" Kane walks down the ramp with Paul and the Big Red Machine enters the ring, raising his arms before throwing them down to make the turnbuckles sprout up fire with an explosion.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf hits to a pop from the fans as the lights change to dark red and dark blue and the Bladewolf walks out, making his way towards the ring with a serious glare in those demonic eyes of his.
"And his partner, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs, he is the Wolf of Darkness and Destruction...THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced before leaving the ring as Bladewolf makes his way towards the ring. Kane was staring at his brother, not forgetting their match last week.
Bladewolf climbs onto the ring apron then climbs over the top rope, fixing his coat when it brushed against the ropes as he climbed over them. Bladewolf stares straight at Kane and walks towards him as the two go eye to eye before Bladewolf backs up a bit and takes off his coat, tossing it out of the ring then both Kane and Bladewolf turn to look at Vader and Mero before looking back at each other.
Bladewolf nods at Kane and gets out onto the ring apron, letting Kane start the match off.
"Looks like Bladewolf wants Kane to start the match off." JR says as Mero gets out onto the ring apron, allowing Vader to start off with Kane. "And Vader will start off with Kane."
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Kane and Vader have a staredown before the Mastodon assaults Kane with a fury of lefts and rights that barely fazes Kane, who knocks Vader back with an uppercut. Vader recovers and rebounds off the ropes, and tries to knock down the Big Red Machine who does not go down. Vader goes to do it again but Kane gives the man a big boot to the face, then runs off the ropes and connects with an elbow drop on Vader's chest before getting him into a headlock.
Vader fights back to his feet then wraps his arms around Kane's waist before lifting him up and slams them both down onto their backs, the impact making Kane release Vader. Kane sits up quickly and grabs Vader, getting him into his corner where he unloads on Vader a few times then tags in Bladewolf who comes in while Kane gets out onto the ring apron.
"Kane, now tagging in his brother." JR stated.
"We got Vader vs Bladewolf now!" Jerry Lawler says with excitement.
Bladewolf attacks Vader with lighting quick lefts and rights before stomping away on Vader until the referee tires getting involved but a glare sends him backing off as Bladewolf grabs Vader and brings him to the centre of the ring where Bladewolf does a Russian Leg sweep then locks in a headlock on Vader tightly, trying to wear him out. Vader fights back up to his feet again but he moves backwards until he drives Bladewolf into the corner.
Vader gets out the hold, turns around and attacks Bladewolf with lefts and rights, then stomps away on Bladewolf who is barely faxed before Bladewolf suddenly grabs Vader by the throat, looking for the Chokeslam, but Vader punches him in the mask then tackles him into the corner, driving his shoulder repeatedly into Bladewolf's gut while Bladewolf delivers left and right forearms to the back of Vader before he elbows Vader in the back, forcing the big man to a knee, Bladewolf then knees Vader in the side of the head which makes him go down.
Bladewolf hits a leg drop across Vader's throat and hooks the leg for the pin but Vader kicks out at two. Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs Vader and Irish whips him off the ropes but Vader ducks the right hand and Bladewolf turns around into a leaping crossbody from the big man. Vader stomps away on Bladewolf before tagging in Marc Mero.
Mero comes in and furiously stomps away on his old rival who took Sable away from him. Mero drops a knee onto Bladewolf's chest then goes for the pin but Bladewolf kicks out at two with force, throwing Mero off him as he did and sits up.
Mero gets to his feet and rebounds off the ropes, going for a dropkick but Bladewolf had quickly gotten to his feet and takes Mero down with a hard clothesline. Mero rolls over and tags in Vader before scatting but Vader didn't care as he runs in and takes Bladewolf down witha clothesline but Bladewolf gets to his feet quickly only to be Irish whipped into the corner, then Vader runs for a turnbuckle clothesline but Bladewolf moves out the way, grabs Vader from behind and hits a German Suplex across the ring.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back before tagging in Kane and gets out onto the apron as Kane enters the fight Vader.
"Bladewolf and Kane are doing well, JR." Jerry commented.
"But for how long, King?" JR asks a very good question.
Kane grabs Vader, scoops him onto his shoulder then hits a powerslam. The Big Red Monster brings his gloved hand up then down to Vader's throat, pulling him to his feet, looking for the Chokeslam but Vader escapes before Kane could lift him up.
Vader boots Kane in the stomach then plants him with a DDT before tagging in Mero who comes in with a cocky smile that drops when Kane sits up and whips his head around to look at Mero with a glare. Mero goes to tag Vader back in but Kane grabs him and Irish whips him hard into his corner where Kane tags in Bladewolf, holds Mero up while Bladewolf goes to the top rope. Kane hits a knee to the back before Bladewolf jumps off and delivers an elbow drop to Mero's chest!
Kane gets onto the ring apron as Bladewolf gets to his feet and does a cutthroat taunt to a pop from the fans before raising his right hand as Mero stumbles to his feet, turns around and is grabbed by the throat! Bladewolf lifts him up...AND PLANTS MERO WITH A CHOKESLAM! Kane runs in and knocks Vader off the ring apron...AND BLADEWOLF HOOKS MERO'S LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! KANE AND BLADEWOLF WIN!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet. "Here are your winners...KANE AND THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced.
"They did it! Both Kane and Bladewolf cooperated well and beat their opponents tonight!" Jerry Lawler exclaims.
"And this victory gives Bladewolf what he wants. He gets his shot at the WWF Championship." JR reminds Jerry.
Bladewolf and Kane stare one another down before Bladewolf leaves the ring and heads up the ramp to the back while Kane raises his arms then throws them down to sprout flames from them as his theme replaces Bladewolf's and the red light descends on the arena.
Bladewolf gets his shot at the WWF Championship at WrestleMania. It is now Shawn Michaels vs Stone Cold Steve Austin vs the Bladewolf for the WWF Championship.
