Chapter 29: Final Sacrifice

Ash and Serena are now on the peak of the mountain, Saphira is crying in front of Ash and Serena, she asks, "Are you really going to do this? Papa? Mama? I don't want you to leave...I want to continue being with you..."

Ash frowns and gives Saphira a hug, "I know, Saphira. But this is your Papa and Mama's destiny, we don't want this as well, but we don't have a choice."

Serena says, "Saphira, can you promise us, after we are gone, your uncle Mark and aunt Lillie will take good care of you. Make sure you listen to them and don't cause them a lot of trouble..."

Saphira can only cry as they nod, the other five siblings and the members of Team Alpha are also frowning at the sight.

At the same time, Professor Cerise and Professor Kukui finished talking about their plan, and Sawyer says, "So let me get this straight, so Ash and Serena are going to kill themselves to change the world for the better?"

"That is right." Professor Cerise says with a frown. "The 18 Infinity Gem can fulfill wishes for those who gather them. They split six groups to find the gems, meaning that they can fulfill six wishes. There are more members of Team Alpha, but six is the maximum because their energy can be drained that much before death."

"Can you tell us what they have wished?" Trip asks.

Professor Kukui says, "Ash wishes to return all the destruction and the warzones back to normal, a world where Pokemon can roam freely in all 8 regions."

"Does that mean our homes will be back to normal, and we can live a normal life again?" Miette asks.

"That is what Ash told us." Professor Kukui says.

At the same time, Ash and Serena each hold nine jewels in their hands, and they feel that their energy is starting to drain. Ash closes his eyes and he silently thinks of his wish, and the gems start to glow white as they create a giant pulse, the forest where leaves are fallen and the branches are destroyed have got back to normal, rubbles and stones are returning to roads and houses. Polluted Water has become clean, and the dead bodies are now turned to ashes.

Ash and Serena are tired, but they are still able to stand, Serena says, "Now who is next?"

Mark steps forward as he decides to tell his wish. Professor Cerise explains to the others and says, "Mark's wish is to kill off evil people like those traitors, and those people who have dark intentions in their hearts. Due to our darkness is being cleaned off, so we are not in their category."

"So those evil people are going to be gone?" Morrison asks, "I don't know why, but I think they deserve it."

"They do deserve it." Paul says, "They killed a lot of people and they are the reason why Team Alpha was formed in the first place."

Back in the cage, the traitors are still trying to get out of the place, but suddenly, they feel pain and they notice their bodies are starting to disappear.

"No! What is going on here!" Dawn yells. "Why are we disappearing!"

"I don't know...don't tell me that we are going to die!" Misty yells as the traitors are screaming in fear. But no one is going to save them as their bodies are disappearing, and then their hair, their ears, their mouths, their noses, their eyes, until their screams are nowhere as they are finally gone off the face of the earth.

Minami and the other siblings are watching through the camera, they see how the traitors are disappearing and they smile, they finally get their revenge on their mother and there are no more people like them going to hurt them. Ash and Serena are now drained with more energy, and Serena says, "Ash...I am scared...I don't think I can do this..."

"Me too, but we can't give up until it is over. Everyone's lives are in our hands, we need to make sure that all the wishes are fulfilled." Ash says as Serena nods. Then Minami steps forward as she is going to do her third wish.

Professor Cerise says, "Minami's wish is simple. She just wants to create an island for the Ketchum Family and the Legendary Pokemon to live without anyone interfering in their lives. They saved the world and yet they destroyed the world, so they want to be alone as they don't want to do anything but living a peaceful life."

"That seems to be understandable." Trip says. "Now that we think of it, we really rely on Ash so much as well...I think they really want this to happen."

As Minami states her wish, in the ocean between Hoenn and Alola, a small island suddenly appears out of nowhere, it has all the terrains for the Pokemon to live on, but there is only a mansion and the property says that it belongs to the Ketchum Family. The other siblings are watching the island from the monitor and they are happy, they finally get to see the island that they have been desired.

"Are you sure we are going to do this? I mean...just look at Brother and Serena..." Golly mutters.

"Yeah...they seem like they have almost lost their spirits..." Alain adds.

"Don't you dare back away!" Ash yells at his siblings. "Just continue!"

Insey decides to do next as she starts to do her wish. And after she finishes it, the ones who are with Professor Kukui and the others are glowing. Miette asks, "What is happening to us?"

Shauna asks, "Yeah...what just happened?"

After the light dies down, Professor Cerise says, "Insey's wish is to have everyone gaining the ability to use Pokemon moves. The glow that we had earlier proves that we can all use Pokemon moves on our own."

"For real?" Tierno asks as he looks at his arm, it is glowing purple and it forms into a claw, and he says, "So this is how the Dragon Claw is used? That's so amazing."

"Gaining Pokemon moves for ourselves might not be as bad as we thought." Sawyer says, "That way we can train with our Pokemon with more efficiency and with more fun to have."

"But what about Golly and Trenor?" Trevor asks, "What are their wishes?"

Professor Kukui says, "Trenor's wish is to make sure that everyone has a good family. Considering that he was taken to an orphanage, he must have seen how orphans were treated and he wants them to have a mother and a father to take care of."

"But are you sure it is alright? I mean...what if they have a bad parent that will do domestic abuse?" Morrison asks, "What matters is if the person is happy in his own life."

"That might be right." Cerise says with a sigh.

And what they didn't know, is that Trenor's actual wish is to make sure that Ash and Serena have a second chance at life after using up their energy for the six wishes. The others know about it, only Ash and Serena don't, and they are now sitting on the ground as they start to feel the difficulty to breathe.

"Golly, the last one, quick!" Ash and Serena yell in unison, and Golly quickly rushes to do her final wish. Lillie turns around and says, "I can't watch anymore...it is so painful..."

"I know." Mark and Gladion hug her, and the others are doing the same thing, and Ash and Serena give out the final roar as they fulfill the last wish. Professor Kukui says, And the final wish for Golly, she wants to bring back their mother, who was killed in cold blood."

"Their mother...I guess it is fair since they never got to see her again after Professor Oak forced them to leave Pallet Town..." Professor Sycamore says.

After the glow is done, the other siblings notice a woman smiling in front of them, and it is no other than their mother, Delia Ketchum. She says, "Hello children."

Mark, Minami, Golly, Insey, and Trenor feel tears flowing from their eyes and they quickly rush and hug her. Mark says, "Mom...we missed you..."

"Yeah, we heard how you were dead...we..." Minami says.

Delia says, "I am sorry that you have to suffer because of me...but where is Ash?"

The others realize about Ash and Serena, as they turn around, seeing how the two of them are lying on the snowy ground, the cold has never bothered them and they are now breathing very heavily.

"Ash! Serena!" The others quickly rush to them, and Saphira is the most emotional and she yells, "Papa! Mama! Please wake up!" She tries to shake them, and Ash mutters, "I...am...glad...we...did...it..."

Serena says, "Yeah..."

Delia notices the Infinity Gems in their hands and she asks, "Did you have Ash and Serena use up all their energies for the wishes?"

The others are frowning and Golly says, "We are sorry, Mother...but they told us that they have to do it..."

Ash says, "Mom...please take good care of my siblings...and my daughter..."

"Ash, what are you talking about!" Delia asks, and Serena says, "We are sorry for everything..."

Ash and Serena then stop talking as their heartbeat finally stops, the others are now feeling sad for the two of them. But Trenor's wish is activated as the gems are glowing, and then the gems emit rainbow-colored lights that go into Ash and Serena's body, giving them energy and their heartbeats are back to normal.

Golly decides to check their heartbeats, and she smiles and says, "They are still alive, which means that Trenor's wish is also fulfilled!"

The others are cheering for them and Delia sighs in relief, now that all their wishes are fulfilled, it is time to put the hostages back to the normal world. Ash and Serena are still unconscious, as they were sent to their new house for rest and the other Legendary teleport Professor Cerise, Kukui, and the others as they are back to their own world. With Mewtwo's help, he rewrites their memories and people are thinking that the war in the past and the fact that they couldn't use Pokemon moves are just a nightmare and they use it as a warning for them.

Ash and Serena wake up after the sun ray is shining on them, which is something they haven't experienced since the destruction. Ash looks around and finds that he is in his own room with Serena beside him, he carefully wakes Serena up, and Serena asks, "Where are we...are we dead?"

"I don't know...but this place looks like my room..." Ash says.

"Papa and Mama are awake!" They hear a voice and they see Delia and Saphira at the doorway. "Saphira? Mom?" Ash is confused. "What - but..."

"Ash, Serena. You are not dead, in fact, both of you are still alive." Delia says with a smile. Serena asks, "But how? I thought we used up the energies for the Infinity Gems..."

Saphira says, "Uncle Trenor didn't do his original wish, he wishes that the two of you would have a second chance of life."

This causes them to be surprised, and Delia says, "Trenor thinks that even though some people don't have their practical family, they still have friends that can become a family."

"I see." Ash says, defeated at how their siblings don't want to give up the both of them. "So I guess all the wishes are fulfilled?" Ash asks.

The two of them nod, and Serena smiles at Ash, "That's great, right? You finally have the world that you wanted."

"I know, and I couldn't have done it without you as well." Ash says. Then the two of them share a kiss, both of them stay for a while and they say to each other. "I love you."

Delia and Saphira are happy at the moment, and she says, "Well, now that you are awake, I'll give you some time and please come downstairs soon."

The two of them nod as Delia and Saphira leave the room, giving the two of them some alone time.

And this is the final chapter of the story, the next chapter will be the epilogue. Ash and Serena finally do their wishes and they are still alive. I hope you like this chapter.
