Chapter 28

"So, what's the plan?" Emily asked Beca who had just entered the kitchen.

"Taking her to the first place we went to when we first got here." Beca said.

"Knowing you there's a something extremely special about that place." Emily commented.

"There is." Beca smiled.

"So, a nice dinner and heart to heart?" Emily asked with a chuckle.

"Who knows." Beca said.

"Well, you look beautiful." Emily said.

"Thank you." Beca smiled.

Beca decided to wear a black one shoulder long sleeve crop top with black skinny jeans and a pair of black laced heels.

At that moment they heard the sound of footsteps approaching.

"Ready?" Stacie asked.

Beca took a moment to stare Stacie up and down.

The taller girl had on a red lace corset crop top with white skinny jeans and a pair of red laced heels.

"Wow." Beca said.

"Wow yourself Mitchell." Stacie winked.

Beca looked at Emily "If anything don't hesitate to call us alright?"

Emily nodded "I got it you guys." She said with a chuckle.

"Now go out and enjoy yourselves." She winked.

Beca nodded and made her way towards the garage.

"You're driving?" Stacie asked.

"Yeah, I figured we could give Roman the day off. Besides you know I love to drive." Beca said approaching her Lamborghini and opening the passenger door for Stacie.

"So, what's the plan?" Stacie asked once Beca took off her heels so she could drive better.

"You'll see." Beca winked.

"Oh my god." Stacie said with a chuckle when she saw where Beca was taking them.

Beca turned off the car and put her heels back on before getting out of the car and walking towards the passenger door opening it up for Stacie.

She held her hand out for Stacie.

"Right this way pretty lady." Beca said with a western accent.

Stacie couldn't help but laugh as she accepted Beca's hand "Thank you."

Beca lead the two towards the entrance holding the door for Stacie.

"Who knew you could be so chivalrous Mitchell." Stacie smirked.

"I'm full of surprises Conrad." Beca winked.

The two were led to their table and were given their time to decide.

"We haven't been here in forever Becs, I can't believe you remember this place." Stacie said.

"Of course I remembered this place." Beca said.

"But why here? Of all the places in LA you chose this one." Stacie asked.

"Remember when we first arrived here, we were both so excited to explore the city because we've never been?" She asked softly

Stacie just smiled and nodded

"We figured the quicker we get settled in the sooner we could explore so we stayed up all night unpacking and settling in. The Uber dropped us off at our place at like 11pm from the airport. We didn't go to sleep till 12pm the next day. When we woke up it was 9pm and everything closed early since it was Sunday." Beca said with a laugh at the memory.

"This was the first place you saw that was open, so we came here. This was the exact table you wanted since it had a view of city. This was the first place we came to on our first day here." Beca said now taking Stacie's hand as the taller girl intertwined their fingers.

"It was in this same spot that you looked me in the eyes and told me that everything was going to get better. You told me as long as we have each other that we were going to be alright. You promised me that no matter what happens we would have each other at the end of the day. It was you who left everything she knew and had behind to come with me on this crazy journey." Beca said.

"I'd do it again and again. There was no way I was leaving your side after what went down." Stacie said.

"And I can never thank you enough for all you've done for me. I always tried to somehow repay you in any way possible. You've always said that I deserve this, and I deserve that, but truth be told Stace, you're the one who deserves the world. I mean after all you've done for me since we met, after everything you've done since we got here and even after having Alanna you never stopped." Beca said.

"You've done so much Beca. All you've done for Alanna is more than enough in my eyes. You should know how it is by now B, we win together and lose together. We both deserve everything we've accomplished now and in the future. Like I've always said, as long as we have each other than nothing else matters." Stacie said.

"Ride or die right?" Beca asked with a smirk.

Stacie smirked back "For life baby."

The two girls enjoyed their meal and dessert.

"I hope you're not tired." Beca said as they got back in the car.

Stacie smiled "Not one bit."

Beca nodded before backing out and driving off.

Twenty minutes later they arrived at a beach.

"Did you really bring us to a beach when we're in heels?" Stacie asked with a raised eyebrow.

Beca rolled her eyes "You should know by now I'm always prepared."

Beca got out the car and lifted the hood of the car where the trunk is located and pulled out a bag. She approached Stacie's door.

"I brought sandals and spare clothes just in case." Beca smirked.

"Never doubted your planning skills." Stacie said taking off her heels and slipping on her sandals.

"Right." Beca said doing the same.

Once she placed the bag back in the trunk the two walked along the boardwalk.

"So, are we going to talk about earlier?" Beca asked.

Stacie knew she was talking about the kiss and knew they'd have to talk about it eventually.

"I suppose we should." Stacie said.

Beca stopped and leaned against the railing and faced Stacie. The taller girl did the same.

"I just want us on the same page here alright. I don't want any awkwardness or nothing like that." Beca said.

"Same." Stacie said.

"I mean it's something that was inevitable at this point, right?" Beca asked.

"With how we are, that's right." Stacie answered.

"You know I've been wanting to do that forever." Beca said softly.

Stacie smiled "Is that so?"

Beca rolled her eyes "I'm trying to be serious here dude."

Stacie chuckled "Sorry."

"Yeah, it's something I've been wanting to do for some time, but you know the situation." Beca said.

"I know how you feel." Stacie said.

Beca nodded and looked down.

Stacie reached out and held one of her hands.

"You know when we had dinner with my mom, she talked to me about us." Stacie said.

Beca looked up at her "She talked to me about us as well."

"Figures." Stacie said.

"What did she tell you?" Beca asked.

"Pretty much to go after what makes me happy and to not worry about Alanna or my career if I chase my happiness." Stacie said.

"And what's your happiness?" Beca asked as she traced Stacie's hand with her thumb.

"You." Stacie answered softly.

Hearing this brought a huge smile to Beca's face "You know, you just so happen to be my happiness as well."

"Well besides Alanna of course." Stacie said.

"Of course. Obviously." Beca said.

The two went silent for a few.

"So, what now?" Beca asked.

Stacie sighed "Look, we both know that the two of us love one another. We both know our feelings towards each other. I know we always thought about our careers and Alanna first but like my mom said, all Alanna has known is the three of us living together and being together. I don't think us actually being together would be a problem with her. And honestly, I don't care what the media or public have to say, our true fans and friends will still support and love us. So, with all that said, why not give this a shot?" Stacie asked.

"I'd love to Stace but please remember what happened the last time I was in a relationship. I know you're not her and would never do anything like that, but I just want you to know if I act weird at any time, I'm sorry." Beca said.

Stacie smiled softly "I understand Becs, you know I would I never in a million years break your heart. And please if you ever start to doubt anything just talk to me. I want this to work more than anything but most importantly I just want you to be happy." Stacie said.

"I'm happiest when I'm with you and the minion." Beca said softly.

Stacie smiled and gently pulled Beca towards her.

"So, you ready to finally give this a shot?" Stacie asked as she rested her forehead against Beca's.

"Most definitely." Beca whispered.

"Perfect." Stacie whispered back.

Beca closed her eyes and enjoyed the taller girl's presence and couldn't help being happy that this was finally happening after everything she went through with Chloe.

Stacie meanwhile couldn't wait any longer, so she brought her hands up and cupped Beca's cheeks softly kissing her.
