ESKK: Well here we go a new chapter. Now let's begin folks.
(Start Barriss)
Barris opened her eyes and found herself in an unusual place which made her concerned. She seemed to be in a forest of sorts as she looked around trying to make sense of this. Just then she looked to a tree and from behind it she glared as she saw Amily walk out. "Ah Barriss-chan seems you've taken another step torts me." Amily said as she looked to Barriss.
"No I have not." Barriss defended glaring at the Horror woman. "If anything Jinga and I keep ourselves away from you and your ilk." Barriss said glaring at Amily taking a sort of vindictive pride in taking Jinga.
"No you are mistaken." Amily said as she smiled a bit in response. "Jedi don't have children or even families if memory served." Amily said as she appeared behind Barriss causing her to jump away a bit. "And that child you carry only tragedy awaits it." Amily said while circling Barriss a bit.
But instead Barriss in retaliation drew her Lightsaber and pointed it at Amily's neck. "Are you threatening our child?" Barriss hissed as Amily saw the Lightsaber at her neck.
"No... I will not touch that child." Amily said as she then walked passed the Saber and traced her hand on the blade which created a sizzling sound that Amily was unaffected by. "In fact I already know how this will end." Amily said making her way torts Barriss. "One way this shall end, you bring the child into the world and while Jinga handles raising it you are never far behind. That is until the Jedi or those you are sworn to protect take them away from you forever more." Amily said from experience alone while Barriss began to step back. "Or you both lose the child before its time and it drives you over the edge." Amily added as she then was in front of Barriss who was now backed up against the tree.
"In the end..." Amily said before she moved her head to Barriss ear. "Your child will suffer a similar fate to Yuuto." Amily said and thus Barris was confused to this.
"Yuuto?" Barriss asked only to see Amily was gone.
"Yes... my own child with Jinga back when we were human." Amily said making Barriss concerned to this. That was when she put the pieces together as she looked to her own child and to Amily. "Yuuto was your catalyst." Barriss gasped as she realized that something must have happened to this, Yuuto for Amily and Jinga to become Horrors.
"Yes truly no matter how you look at it any life form will always be selfish beings not worth the effort of protection." Amily said as she then looked to Barriss. "Allow me to illuminate the tale of our family." Amily said as soon the entire place was transformed to the tragic day of Yuuto's death.
Barriss in turn saw Jinga, Yuuto, and Amily walking down a forest path together as despite seeing it from third person Barriss saw the familiarity of it all. "We weren't assigned to a particular territory, so we traveled together to hunt Horrors, while training Yuuto." Barriss said as she saw the scene of the past Jinga training Yuuto. As Barriss saw this she saw Jinga was not only an excellent teacher helping his son fix his form but also a good father as well.
Barriss had to admit seeing Yuuto smiled pulled at old emotions she didn't realize were there. It felt as if Yuuto had been a part of her and thus instinctively her hand went to her stomach. If she and Amily truly were one in the same... was this child the same as Yuuto?
Just then the entire image began to change as Amily continued the tale. "One day, we arrived in a certain village." Amily said as she was then treated to the image of a village where a child was being forced upon a sacrificial alter of sorts. When Barriss saw it she saw a familiarity to it... and with it a deep foreboding as if she knew what this was. "There was a legend of a dreadful dark beast." Amily spoke and thus Barriss realized what this was.
"Stop this!" Jinga was heard as he charged in and forced the adult to let the child go.
"In order to quell the beast's rage, they would offer a sacrifice." Amily told as Barriss saw the man also explain it to Jinga and Amily.
"There's no need for a sacrifice." Jinga said to the village head. "We will slay this dark beast." Jinga vowed as he looked to the villagers and thus filled Barriss with hope. "Yuuto." Jinga began directing his attention to his son. "You wait here. If we don't make it back..." Jinga trailed off as Barriss realized this was a mistake.
"Right. I know." Yuuto responded as Barriss found herself trying to move in on this.
"No don't... Yuuto go with him." Barriss tried to convince not knowing why she said it. But it fell to deaf ears as her hand phased through Yuuto's shoulder when she tried to push him forth.
As Jinga smiled to Yuuto Amily's past-self lowered herself to speak to her son. "We will come back though, okay?" She said while smiling to her son.
"No please take him with you, he will be safer with you then away." Barriss tried to convince as she watched helplessly as Jinga and Amily went out to slay the Horror.
Soon the scene changed once more to nighttime as Amily was once more heard. "The villagers were right." Amily spoke as Barriss bore witness to the Horror roaring and snarling at them. "There was a Horror Dwelling near their village." Amily spoke as her past human self and Jinga got ready for battle.
The battle went on proving to be a difficult one for the couple. But Barriss knew how this would end even if she didn't know what the tragedy would befall them. In turn Barriss saw Jinga roar out as he charged in at the Horror after Amily had managed to knock it back. "We struggled, but ultimately brought the Horror down." Amily said as the scene once more changed with the couple walking back to the village. "However..." Amily said and thus Barriss was shown the image of the villagers who had gathered around the altar parting ways.
"No..." Barriss gasped as her lightsaber fell out of her hand deactivated while said hands moved to her mouth. There she saw the image of her... of Amily and Jinga's child tied to the Altar having already breathed his last.
"The villagers had no faith in us." Amily spoke as Barris saw what had happened to Yuuto.
In turn Jinga and Amily ran over to Yuuto as the Horror Amily then stepped aside as Barriss did the same. Barriss remembered this as the memoires of this event came back to her. "Yuuto?" Jinga gasped as he looked to his dead son.
"Yuuto…" Amily got out as her voice began to crack.
"Yuuto!" Jinga cried out trying to wake his son up praying he was just out cold.
The parents tried saying his name as Jinga freed his son from the bonds. Barriss was unable to hold back the tears any longer as the emotions from this memory were too much even for her. Despite the number of times they called out his name as they laid him down it was clear Yuuto was gone from this world. Jinga in shock stepped back and from what Barriss could both see and sense was trying his damn hardest to hold back his emotions. As he walked through the guilty crowd it was clear his efforts was worthy of any Jedi today. But the effort was not good enough especially against a pain such as this.
As Jinga's face began to show the inevitable about to happen something inside the past Knight broke. Then from grief, sadness, and sorrow rage, vengeance, and fury came to fore. Then Jinga roared out in unbridled fury and drew his blade upon those whom he once swore to protect. Thus the massacre began as Jinga swung wildly killing as many of these villagers as he could get his hands on.
Barriss was shocked about this as she knew Yuuto would not have wanted to see them like this. Yet at the same time Barriss felt numb to it like it didn't bother her... as if the grieving pair were justified in their actions. It was then made worse for Barriss as a villager fell down before Amily and saw the mother still grieving for her child. The villager ran up to Amily as Barriss was appalled at what he said next. "Save us!" The man begged as Barriss was sickened by his request.
His people brought this upon themselves and Barriss had a feeling that Amily wasn't so forgiving about this. Barriss then saw how Amily soon followed suit with Jinga as the villager quickly realized he should have ran away. He then screamed out and ran only for Amily to fire a bolt of magic at him killing the man with it.
"The rage and sorrow overpowered us..." Amily spoke as Barriss saw the entire scene play out as she felt numb to it... no she didn't feel anything for this except vindictive. "We attacked the villagers and killed them, one after another." Amily recounted the tale as Barriss calmly walked around the corpses that were piling up.
Barriss didn't know what was going on with her she felt a sadistic sense of vindictiveness flowing through her. As far as she cared this villagers got what they deserved as she doubted the child before Yuuto was the first one to be sacrificed. As this went on Barriss knew as a Jedi she should be condemning this and if she was able try to stop it but she could not even if she wanted to. She was frightened of these emotions going through her as she saw the slaughter went on. "That was when he appeared..." Amily said as Barriss saw Jinga direct his attention to a pair of children after killing two more people. "A Makai Priest faced us, in our uncontrollable fury." Amily spoke as Barriss saw the priest stand between Jinga and the children.
Barriss saw him say a few words she could not hear to the children before pushing them away to run. "Deep down, we always knew... that killing this man, who had don't nothing, was wrong." Amily said as she spoke of this tale while they watched Jinga quickly overpower the Priest. Thus showing to Barriss an example of why the front lines were handled by the Makai Knights. "Deep inside, I guess we were just hoping for someone to put us out of our misery." Amily said as for a time that was her hope. Barriss then saw Jinga and herself... Jinga and Amily over power the Priest with ease before they got ready to finish him off.
"In order to protect the villagers, he used a self-destruct spell, giving his life." Amily spoke as Barriss saw the past pair get blindsided when the Priest in question used the spell the Horror Amily spoke of.
Soon Barriss saw the scene change again to, night and to her surprise she saw Jinga and Amily stumbling down the road there eyes dull and dead to everything. Nothing was in there the two were broken beyond any hope of repair at the loss of their son. "But the explosion didn't kill us." Amily spoke as she showed her past self with Jinga. "We weren't granted that mercy." Amily spoke as Barriss knew why it was a mercy for them... they had nothing left to live for so they wanted to die.
Eventually the pair arrived at a graveyard and thus Amily felt a cold run through her a very familiar cold. "Even if our child had been murdered, what we had done was unforgivable." Amily said as Barriss both saw and knew what came next. "And, naturally, we were punished in kind." Amily spoke showing the day two heroes died and in their place two monsters were born.
Despite this the two tried to fight off the possession but they no longer had the strength or will to do so. Thus as the black smoke faded Barriss saw Jinga with silver hair and Amily in the form she now stood when harassing Barriss. The tale ended when Jinga's sword changed form to a darker version of itself as Barriss realized what Amily showed her.
"Yuuto…" Barriss said as she found herself in the forest from before while her hand went to her stomach where she was sure Yuuto may very well be reborn.
"Now you see the fate that awaits you." Amily said as she looked away from Barriss.
"No... I won't let it happen." Barriss defended as she glared at Amily. "I won't walk you're path." Barriss said as Amily then began to chuckle to Barriss as if she was joking.
"My dear Barriss-chan." Amily began as she then turned to Barriss revealing the topaz color of the Sith Eyes. "You're already on it." Amily spoke just before she charged at Barriss head on. Barriss then saw Amily's form change all before it went black for Barriss.
(Waking World)
Barriss woke up with a shock as she shot up from her bed. She realized she was in a room the Rebels had given to her as it was early morning. As Barriss tried to make sense of this she rubbed the sleep from her eyes as she then felt something off. She looked and saw her hand shaking as she knew these visions of Amily were getting stronger by the day. She reached for her stomach wondering if she should take some sort of precaution for the future. She then looked to the window and realized this entire secret she was keeping was going to become a mess to keep.
Barriss then hugged her legs to her chest as she thought of her husband who was no doubt out hunting Horrors. "Jinga." Barriss said solemnly as she grew to fear what may await her and the unborn child who most likely carried Yuuto's soul.
(Scene Break Later that Day Iziz)
Up in his castle the usurper King himself looked out over Iziz glaring at it knowing full well the Rebels were out there causing destruction to his rule. As he stood there his chief advisor came up behind him. "Dendup has been summoned and awaits your order, my lord." The Advisor said as he looked to the King.
"What about the Terrorists?" Rash asked as he looked to the sentient hoping something was done about them already.
"They've attacked a checkpoint near the canal and two droid patrols." The advisor said giving Rash an update on current affairs involving those he considered to be terrorists. "One in Malgan Market." He said to which Rash growled to this.
"If they think destroying a few droids is going to effect change, they've run a fool's errand." Rash said as he circled to his throne and took his rightful seat.
"One more thing, my lord." The advisor said as he looked to Rash with one important update. "The royal carriage was ambushed soon after it left the residence." He said causing Rash to look to the advisor when hearing this.
"Hmm, an attempt on my life." Rash said as it was a sound theory after all.
"It appears that way." The advisor said as he looked to Rash.
"Get my predecessor in here." Rash said as he knew exactly who was leading these terrorists. The advisor bowed and then proceeded to take his leave of the room. As he left the former King Dendup was being lead in by two Commando Droids who pointed their blasters at the frail old man. Once Dendup was before Rash the usurper King began to speak. "You surprise me." Rash began as he grabbed a fruit from the bowl next to him. "Engaging with extremists is beneath you." Rash accused as he glared at Dendup before continuing. "Do you really want your crown back that badly?" Rash asked with a mocking tone before taking a bite out of the fruit.
"I only want freedom for my people." Dendup said defending himself as he had nothing to do with these Rebels.
Rash scoffed to this while glaring down upon Dendup. "Your supporters are responsible for terrorist's acts against the kingdom and our allies." Rash said as he threw the fruit he ate into the fire next to him where it burned to ash.
"I didn't know that. You've made it quite impossible to stay informed of anything outside my prison chamber." Dendup said as he had no idea of these rebels' actions.
"Call off the attacks." Rash ordered as he knew Dendup was the one behind this.
"I cannot call off what I did not dictate." Dendup defended as he looked to Rash. "What you are up against is simply the will of the people." Dendup said as he looked to Rash and decided to offer a few words of wisdom to the usurper king. "It's up to the king to embrace, bend, or break it." Dendup said as he looked to Rash raising his voice a bit. "And I am no longer the king." Dendup said and thus Rash had enough of what he perceived to be lies.
"Stop the attacks, or you will atone with your life." Rash threatened as he glared at Dendup who refused to bend to his will.
"It is you that must end the attacks by ending the droid occupation." Dendup said as Rash was King now to the responsibility to end these attacks fell to him and him alone. And the only way to do so is to leave the Separatists and rejoin the Republic. It was clear that neither side was going to budge on this as both parties glared each other down intent to see who would back down first. But even if Dendup didn't start these attacks he fully supported these supposed rebels if their intent was for the people.
(Scene Break Rebels Iziz)
The Rebels arrived back at their base blending in with the populace as they were allowed entry by the other rebels who stood guard. As they entered their small meeting room inside the building the Makai Group took spots around the circle while three of the Jedi, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka sat across from Steela, Saw, and Lux with Shara and Barriss standing behind the Jedi.
Thus it was Anakin who opted to speak first. "You're success will not go unnoticed." Anakin announced causing the group to cheer in response. They had spent a good portion of the day hitting the Droids and vanishing afterwards.
"Pop the drinks!" Logos called out and thus was hit upside the head by Phonon.
"Wait until he's done before celebrating moron." Phonon said glaring at Logos.
"I agree, but we need to be mindful of public perception." Obi-Wan said as he knew this had to be acknowledged now rather than later. "What was your observation, Ahsoka?" Obi-Wan asked as he looked to Ahsoka.
"The People were fearful, Master Kenobi." Ahsoka said as she looked to the Jedi Master.
"I concur." Shara said as she looked to the group. "I could feel the fear around them their afraid of us." Shara said to which Obi-Wan nodded to both of them.
"Indeed." Obi-Wan agreed knowing full well they had to be careful of that. "Judging from the reactions I saw today, I'm afraid they will mistake your intentions." Obi-Wan said as he looked to the Rebels.
"We need to do more damage." Saw began punching his fist into his hand. "A few dozen broken-down droids will do little to free Onderon." Saw said but the Makai Group could tell Saw wasn't seeing the bigger picture.
"The people need to believe we can succeed." Steela began getting everyone's attention. "Without their support, our efforts are meaningless." Steela said to which Lux agreed on this.
"If they're afraid, they won't support us." Lux said as he looked agreeing with Steela. "We need to assure them of our intentions." Lux said to which Saw started to understand a bit.
"I don't understand. Why are they afraid?" Saw asked as he looked to the group.
"They're afraid we're not strong enough to win." Steela began as she looked to her brother. "We need to earn their trust." Steela said knowing that without the people's trust they were basically terrorists everyone feared.
You'll have plenty of time to earn their trust." Anakin began as he looked to the rebels. "All of you are going to be very busy." Anakin said before Rex spoke up.
"Today was only a taste. You'll get your chance." Rex said as he looked to the gathered Rebels.
In turn Obi-Wan spoke up with a few pearls of wisdom. "In the meantime, make the most of your victories. Welcome and learn from them." Obi-Wan said and thus Lux had an idea.
"Perhaps if we hit something big, gave a show of strength, they will overcome their fear and join us." Lux said as Andros was thinking along similar lines.
"From the sound of it seems our Senator has an idea." Andros said as Logos was ready to pop the drinks still.
"I know the perfect target." Lux said as he looked to the group.
(Later outside)
The Jedi left the building with their hoods on as Anakin smirked a bit. "I think they're ready to give the 501 some competition." Anakin said with a smirk on his face.
"Let's not get carried away, General, though these rebels have impressed me." Rex said to which Obi-Wan then spoke up.
"We will share the development with the Jedi Council." Obi-Wan said before looking to Ahsoka, Shara, and Barriss. "Ahsoka, Shara, and Barriss will remain here as advisors." Obi-Wan said to which Shara was wide eyed by this.
"Wait what?" Shara asked shocked to hear this. "Master Kenobi are you sure?" Shara asked showing she was nervous.
"Of course Anakin even agrees with me on this." Obi-Wan said as Anakin saw what Obi-Wan was doing.
"Plus it will be perfect practice for when Ahsoka and Barriss are ready for Padawan's of their own." Anakin said and thus the two Jedi Knights were surprised by this.
"All of you Monitor them and report back with their progress." Obi-Wan said before Ahsoka and Barriss could comment about possible future Padawans.
They give a bow with Anakin soon asked them while placing a hand on their shoulders, "Are you up for it, Barriss, Snips? OR would you like to return to Coruscant?"
"No, General. I want to stay," Ahsoka said with Barriss nodded as she said, "I will remain here as well and help out with anything I can with both the Makai and the rebels groups."
"How about you Shara, do you feel like this could be too much and return with us or stay here as well?" Obi-wan ask his padawan as Shara a bit against the idea… but hanging around the Makai group would most likely keep her safe if needed and she can talk with Andros, maybe get more training from him as she said, "I'll stay as well Master, I want to do what I can as well."
"Good. We should continue to provide supplies and credits, but the rebels must learn to operate on their own, as I had a talk with our specialist friends and ask them to not to interfere with them as much as they can," Obi-wan said as he happy the Makai group is helping anyway they can but he wish for these rebels to grow on their own as he went on saying before going off with Anakin, "The rebels survival depends on it."
"Yes General/master Kenobi," both Ahsoka, Barriss, and Shara said as he headed off with Anakin stay for a bit to tell them, "Remember your purpose, and no funny business with the specialist."
Barriss heart skip a bit for a bit as she thought Anakin might have found out about her and Jinga, but she keep her voice silent as she notice he was talking with Ahsoka, as she said to him, "Nothing will happen, we all will act professional while on this mission."
"Alright then, I'll keep in touch then," Anakin said as he didn't want Andros and Ahsoka to do anything while he is away, not knowing what has been going on between Her and Andros already with Barriss took a breath to calm herself and said, "Let head back and join with the others."
(A Power station)
Near the power plant as many people went on their business, above on the roof tops as Steela, saw and Lux were scoping out the area, with Ahsoka, Shara, and Andros that was observing the group as he is, seeing what they have plan with Steela scouting it out with her rifle scope.
She saw 6 super battle droids at the gate, with 6 more battle droids coming out from the plant itself which they seem more energized now as they headed out on their patrol.
"This power generator feeds substations across the city," Lux explain what their next target was as he pointed to the power plant as he point it out and said, "We hit that, the entire grid falls."
"How does that help us? Battle droids are no longer linked to central control. They operate individually," Steela said as Andros said to her, "Lux has the right idea here, as you are right the droids aren't connected to the main controls, but droids still runs on power."
"That right they still need to recharge. If we take out this facility it will knock out the power grid," Lux said as Shara finish as she realize what Lux is saying as she said, "And it would be a matter of time before all the droids shut down, bringing the droids force to a still."
"Correct," Lux said as Ahsoka look up at it as she said, "If you carry the plan out by nightfall, you'll maximize your strike capability."
"Okay so we just need to figure out how to destroy the power station," Steela said as she was right as they don't have enough info as Lux said, "We need to do more surveillance."
"Those droids should have all the Intel we need stored up in those tin cans of theirs, right?" Saw asked with Ahsoka reply to him saying, "They should."
Andros keep quite on this, as he knew Churi may have these plans already consider she taken a lot of droids after the battle at the rebel's old base, but he promise to let the rebels do things on their own as he knew what Saw is planning as he said, "Then I'll get us one."
"Stick to the shadows, and remember their joint are weak so ripping off its head should be easy enough," Andros said as saw nodded and soon slide down off the roof the group is on as the rest of the group keep observing the area, make sure to join in just in case as Saw came down to an alleyway, that was a narrow path but no one in site which was perfect as he went down the way until he came to the main street area.
3 battle droids were walking by as Saw took cover and waited for all the droids to walk by before sneaking up on the droid that walk behind the group as he tap its shoulder and said, "Hey clanker."
Before the droid knew it, its head was rip off its body with it in Saw's hands as he gotten out of site quickly before the other two realize what happen, as the droid in the middle turn back to the last droid and said, "Uh-oh." The headless droid dropped its gun as it held out its arm looking around for its missing head but wasn't gonna find it as it was already long gone.
(Back with the Group)
The group were gathered around a machine as Andros opened it up before Saw jacked the Droids head into it. Lux then activated it and from it they saw a holographic screen of the power stations. "Sentries at every access point inside and out." Saw said as they observed the map.
"We can't sustain combat against their numbers." Lux said as Andros already saw what they can do while Churi… well if she were here she'd have already found maybe 50 different ways to sneak in and sneak back out.
"But our size makes us perfect for mobility and surprise." Steela said as she looked to the scene before her. "We need something with heavy firepower if we are to blow up this facility." Steela said as Andros knew just the item to use.
"If we give them enough trouble, they'll call for reinforcements." Lux said and thus Steela could tell where Lux was going with this.
"Like a tank." Steela said as Shara paid close attention to them.
"Exactly." Lux said before he went on with the plan. "Then you can provide cover while we hijack it." Lux explained and in turn all pieces for the plans construction fell into place.
"And then we use their own weapon against them." Steela said and thus Saw unplugged the head.
"And we bring the droid army to its knees." Saw said showing he was all in for this plan.
"Then we better make sure we're loud enough to bring a tank in." Andros said as he looked to the group to which Shara nodded.
"I assume you have ideas on how to draw out a tank?" Shara asked as she looked to the group.
"We have a few." Saw said with a smirk on his face as Shara was ready to go for it.
(Later)
The Makai group had opted to take a high point while Shara, Barriss, and Ahsoka with the rebels took the low point on the ground. As they waited for the plan to play out Churi looked through her scope as did Phonon on his bow. "So... any plans to tell Shara or Corona who you are?" Logos asked to which Andros looked to him.
"Logos!" Andros called out but Phonon decided to step in while they wait.
"For once I'm actually with the idiot on this one." Phonon said as even Churi was surprised to hear this. "Yes I know timing is bad but if we continue to work with her and Obi-Wan she'll start to suspect something." Phonon said as Churi then added her two credits.
"You've already started teaching her your style's basics how long till she realizes that maybe just maybe it's not because she's gifted with it but its hereditary?" Churi asked knowing full well Shara will have to realize the truth at some point.
"Unless you don't plan to tell her." Jinga said as he looked to Andros who went silent for this one.
"Look I want to tell her but how do you walk up to a girl and tell her she's actually your long lost sister whom you weren't keeping an eye on when the Jedi came and took her." Andros said to which Logos smirked at the set up.
"Like this, hi Shara your actual name is Corona Ruststorm and I'm your elder brother. The Jedi took you because our dad died and I didn't follow his orders to keep an eye on you." Logos said as both Andros and Jinga glared at him for that.
"Um guys." Churi spoke as she saw the speeder come in down in the street where it came to a halt.
"Logos that is by far the dumbest thing you've suggested joking or otherwise." Andros said to which Jinga nodded to him.
"Looks like their starting." Phonon said as he knew they would have to step in soon.
"Come on guys it's not that bad." Logos said as unaware to him Andros and Jinga were actually aware of what's going on down in the street.
"Logos on scaling your jokes... this one was bad as well as a tad bit offensive." Jinga said as he looked to Logos.
"Hey if it was that bad then let me be thrown off this building right now." Logos said as in turn the group heard the speeder go off with the droid poppers inside it.
"He just had to say it." Churi said knowing what came next.
(Meanwhile down in the street)
The operation began as the Droids were marching torts the speeder that was in their path. As they marched they calmly pushed it out of the way and walked around it seeing no need to waste power on it. When a large enough number surrounded the speeder Saw from the alley gave the signal and thus the Rebels set off the explosive. But before they could move in Logos was heard screaming as he fell off the building via a Force Push from Andros and Jinga.
All eyes and optics looked to the odd sight and saw Logos land on the ground pretty hard. Everything was silent for a moment until Logos moaned and began to get up. "I'm ok." Logos said as he cracked his joints from the bruising the impact caused him. "Gonna feel that in the morning." Logos said and thus saw the Droids looking at him. "Uh... hi." Logos greeted and in turn the Rebels started their attack.
The Rebels came out of their hiding spot and began firing upon the Droids. The Droids returned fire as Logos quickly went to cover after being used as a distraction and possible cannon fodder.
"Alright everyone, let's go!" Andros said as he, Jinga, Phonon, and Churi drop down and help out the Rebels, with Ahsoka, Barriss, and Shara stay back and watch as how things play out.
AS the fighting went on, the droids were going down as they were being taken by some shock grenades before they were taken down by blaster, sword, or a bow and arrow until there was one left as it try to run for cover as it reports its current condition as it started to say, "Patrol 118 to central."
Steela quickly took aim for it as she waited for it to request reinforcement as the droid said, "We've been ambushed by terrorists and need reinforcements."
Soon enough Steela took the shot bringing down the droid before it could say anything else, with everything now calm again as Ahsoka, Barriss, and Shara came forth as thus Ahsoka said, "Let's hope they send a tank."
"It may be too early for that, as most likely they would send in the destroyers first," Andros said as battle droids were just the first part, with Logos came up to him and said, "Thank a lot jerk, now I'm gonna have a sore face for the next week!"
(The Palace)
With King Iziz in his throne room with few droids in there with him to overhear there was trouble again in the street and attacking one of his large patrol, which got him infuriated, he stood up and said, "Bring forth the gates!"
The droids nodded as they understood, as they left quickly, with Iziz went into his inner pocket and pull out a knife, and waiting for the droids to come forth as they brought a table with some strange items on it, as Iziz came over to it, raise the dagger to his hand to cut it, as black blood came forth, dripping on the dark object as King Iziz said, "Those rebels will pay, I will make sure they are destroy for good. No one gets in my way of ruling this world!"
Soon enough the items started to let out a dark smoke of sort before the entire table was cover in as before Iziz, as he smile with the sound of horror coming for from the smoke.
(Back at the streets)
Everyone waited for the reinforcement to come forth which was taking its sweet time for some reason, until suddenly a whirling metal sound coming up as Churi said, "I hear destroyers!"
"Everyone get to cover, Phonon you know what to do!" Andros said as Phonon nodded with everyone taken cover with the destroyer droids came up, fold out and activate their shields, firing upon the group, as the rebels return fire, as Ahsoka, Barriss, and Shara were deflecting the shots away as best they can while Phonon gotten to a roof top and pull out a few arrows, ready to shot through the destroyer droids shields.
With Andros taken cover waiting for Phonon to take the shot… suddenly he felt a not a great feeling, and in great number with a suddenly chill came to him, and any other force users around, as for him it could be only one thing as he quickly open up Zaruba face plate and said, "Zaruba, please tell me what I'm feeling is not what I think what's coming."
"Sorry to say this, Andros but you got horrors coming your way," Zaruba confirm it as Andros came out of his spot and yell out, "Horrors are coming!"
"What?" Shara said in shocked as the Makai team is surprise, with the Jedi as well, and the rebel groups were confused on this as suddenly there was a screeching roar that was heard as they look at the up above many low level horrors were seen as they soon join with the destroyers and charge, with the rebels surprise to see such creatures all of the sudden.
Phonon saw them and quickly change target as he fire his first arrow at one and bring it down quickly.
Churi came forth with a madou blaster and fire at the horrors, taking a few down with ease, as Andros, and Jinga use the force to push them back as Andros said, "How are there so many of them?"
"Don't know, but if we don't care of them then the rebels will fall and this entire city may get over run," Jinga said as Andros didn't like where this could be going as he soon call out to Churi knowing she has something to help them as he call out, "Churi, Throw me a horror blood rag!"
"Right now?" Churi said as she fire a few more shots as Andros said to her, "Just do it!"
Churi took cover as she went into her robes, and pull out a small leather envelope, she sighed and turn to Andros as she said, "Catch!"
As she throw it, with destroyer droids still from down the streets, Andros rush out and grab it, as he quickly open it and pull back a cloth that was in it, as he saw black blood on the cloth, he knew he had to act fast as he call out to the horrors, "Hey over here you horrors, I got something tasty!"
The horrors stop in their tracks as they turn towards him and smell what he had, as they didn't know what it was, but what they did know is… they wants it as they soon came at him, with Andros began to run and said to the rebels, "You guys try to handle the rest yourself while we take care of these things. We'll be back!"
The Makai team quickly follow after him with the horrors following as well, leaving the rebels and the 3 Jedi to face the destroyers themselves.
The rebels and the Jedi held out but the destroyer droids came closer and at the rate they were going, they were about to get push back, as saw said, "We're not gonna last unless we take out those destroyers."
"We have to get behind them," Lux said as he knew that was the only way to do what they need to do as Saw understand as he said, "Let's go!"
The two then ran off to circle around the Destroyers and get to their blind side. Back over with Ahsoka and Steela the two were holding off the rollers as they tried to keep them at bay. Unaware to them they had help coming from around the block.
(With Lux and Saw)
The two jumped over a wall and made their way down the alley. As they ran they soon got to the end where they found the Destroyer Droids whom had yet to detect them. Saw acted fast and thus jumped out and had the Droid Popper roll where it then got through the Destroyers shields. Once it got through it went off and thus the Destroyer was down.
"Roll it slow so it gets through." Saw ordered as he looked over to Lux.
"I know that." Lux said showing he already knew what to do and how to do it.
Lux then rolled the popper through and in turn it went to the Barrier. But when the popper hit the shield the popper went to fast and thus it bounced off the barrier. "Nice job!" Saw scolded as he glared at Lux.
"You screwed me up!" Lux defended and thus the Roller detected them. Once the Droid turned it had them in its sights before it proceeded to open fire on them. Saw then pushed Lux out of the way and in turn ran over to the downed droid to use it as cover. Once Saw was there it was clear the two Rebels were pinned down by the Droid.
Steela saw this as did Shara and Barris to which Shara quickly acted. Shara wait!" Barriss called out but it was too late Shara was already moving. Steela was close on Shara's back and the two got their plan into action. Steela then jumped over to the side and Shara acted by running the same direction. Shara began deflecting the lasers shots in a way much like Andros would as she swung her lightsaber fast and even switched her grip while she spun it continuously. While Shara had the Droid's attention Steela had jumped down and pushed her hand through the barrier. Once she did so she dropped the Droid Popper where it then went off and deactivated the Destroyer Droid.
Once it was done Saw and Lux helped Steela back on her feet as Lux smiled to her. "Thanks." Lux said as Shara was shell shocked at what she did and how she did it. Meanwhile Barris, Ahsoka, and the unknown Rebel ran over to the group while Ahsoka held Steela's rifle. "I never seen a destroyer taken out that way before." Ahsoka said as she was honestly surprised to see that.
"We all have to adapt." Steela said happily taking her gun.
"Shara." Barris began as Shara straightened out and looked nervous. "That was reckless of you, but that was a most impressive use of Saber Work." Barriss said as she was honestly impressed by how Shara pulled that off.
Just then they all heard the sound of the Tank moving as the group got ready for a fight. "There's our tank." Saw said as they saw the Tank being accompanied by four BD-2's. The Tank then took aim before it proceeded to open fire upon them. "Split up!" Ahsoka called out and thus the group ran over to some cover. Shara hid with Steela and Ahsoka behind cover while Barriss was stuck with Lux and Saw behind cover.
Steela acted and fired off her gun at one of the droids taking it out easily. Once she did so one of the Droids allies fired off its left arm cannon and thus the group was forced to get back into cover. Nearby Lux and Saw were firing their weapons as they tried to get closer but their attack did nothing save for drawing attention and getting them back into cover. Next up Steela fired her gun again and hit the droid taking it down giving Lux and Saw room to move in.
Once the boys got to a new spot they fired at the Super Battle Droids at point blank range but again their rifles did nothing to it. In response Steela fired her rifle again and took out the battle droid clearing a path for the boys to get close. Seeing the tank was right on top of them Saw took out a Droid Popper from his person. "Let's move." Saw said and thus he went in with Lux, who had a popper of his own, right behind him.
Saw went for the driver port of the tank while Lux was going for the gunner position. Saw got his popper in and got moving, while Lux did the same. Once the two were off the Tank they had to duck and cover when another Battle Droid was firing at them. Lux ran to cover just after the poppers went off taking the tank down with it. Once this was done Steela took aim as Lux ran and once she got a clear shot she opened fire and took the Droid out. She then charged in and once she got close she took out the other droid ending the battle and claiming the tank as their prize.
"Good work." Saw said with a smirk on his face "Now, let's get this thing up and running again." Saw said showing he was ready to move out.
"Let's hope the others are doing as good as we are." Shara said as Barriss silently agreed with worry over Jinga while Ahsoka wasn't too worried about Andros.
(With the others)
Andros, Jinga, Churi, Logos, and Phonon all ran through the street or on the roof. Churi and Logos were on the street while the other three Makai Knights took to the rooves. As they ran the Horrors screeched and roared as they attacked them from different angles. The group were proving to be difficult for the Horrors to best but there was a great deal of them.
"Where did they all come from?!" Logos asked as he stabbed on in her neck and killed it via decapitation.
"Less talking more fighting!" Churi called out as she used her magic to take them down as best she could.
Churi then busted out her whip and began swinging it about hitting the Horrors as they came at them. It was clear whoever sent them wanted them or the Rebels or even both out of the picture. Andros jumped up and slashed down upon a Horror before Logos came in and stabbed on in the face with his weapon in Dagger form. Following it up was, Phonon, as he fired his arrows at multiple Horrors taking them out quickly.
"We need to make quick work of them!" Jinga called out knowing full well that they had to be brought down someway somehow.
"He's right if we don't catch up to aid the Rebels then we run the risk of seeing harm come to them." Zaruba added knowing if they didn't eliminate the Horrors fast then the Rebels would be in danger.
"I got an idea!" Andros called out and thus got ready to summon forth his armor. Then with a swing of his sword an energy circle was made and from it his armor came out transforming him into Garo once more. Garo snarled as he then grinded the Garoken through Zaruba's mouth creating sparks as he did so. Then with a powerful swipe the Garoken was lit aflame in an emerald fire.
Everyone seeing what he was about to do, quickly ran for cover. Thus Garo's whole body was soon lit in the same emerald fire. "He's gonna blow!" Logos called out as he hid with Churi. Just then with his sword held in both hands Garo proceeded to lift it up and when he did he roared out causing the fire he made to blast out eliminating all of the Horrors in one fell swoop. Once this was done Andros retracted his armor and began to catch his breath as his friends ran and left their cover.
"Nice work." Jinga said smirking at how Andros took the Horrors out in one move.
"Yeah though kind of showing off don't you think?" Logos said as he smirked at his friend.
"You're just jealous you can't do that." Churi taunted as this caused Logos to begin to deflate in response to Churi's taunt.
"Come on we need to go provide aid to the Rebels." Phonon said and thus the group were off to try helping the Rebels out at the Power Station.
"Right!" The group all agreed and thus headed out to go assist the Rebels in dealing a crippling blow to the Droid Army in the city.
(Later at the Power Station)
The Tank was seen as it arrived at the Power Station. On the tank itself Stella, Lux, Ahsoka, Barris, and Shara were on the sides. "I'll draw their fire. Good luck." Steela said as she headed off to help give her friends cover.
"I'll cover you." Ahsoka said as she got off and thus Shara got off.
"I'll go with you." Shara said leaving Barriss alone with Lux and Saw, who was in the tank.
The trio ran to the nearest form of over they could find making sure to avoid any Civilians getting out of the way. Once they got there Ahsoka boosted Steela up to the top and saw her take aim with her Rifle via the scope. As this happened she saw the front gate protected by Super battle Droids clearly they were unaware of a Tank coming their way.
(With Saw's group)
"We're almost in position. Ready when you are, Steela." Saw said into his communicator as he had saw the scene as well with his microbinocular. He then entered the Tank as Barriss was ready to provide whatever aid she can. She then felt to her stomach for a moment and steeled her nerve. After this chaos was done she would think up excuses to avoid being ejected from the Jedi and if not well at the very least... she can live with Jinga.
'Yuto huh?' Barriss wondered as she thought of that name not denying she was considering it for a boy's name. She then cleared her mind and focused on the battle at hand to face the Droids.
(Steela)
Once she was given the signal Steela opened fire and hit one of the Droids. They quickly took note of this and started to get into attack position. "A sniper get her!" A droid called out only for its friend to have its head hit by an arrow. The Droids looked and saw there were two snipers one nearby and one atop a building.
"Which one do we get?" One of the droids asked and thus the leader took command.
"Get them both!" He called out and thus they got to work.
(With Phonon)
Phonon was firing upon the Droids with his arrows. As he did this he heard movement and looked behind him and saw more Droids there. "Churi!" Phonon called out and thus an energy who shot out and got the Droids showing Churi had his back.
"Why do you guys always doubt me?" Churi teased with a smirk on her face. Phonon scoffed to this and got back to work.
(Over with Ahsoka, Shara, and Steela)
The trio kept their part of the plan going until Shara saw something as did Ahsoka. The two Jedi looked and saw Battle Droids coming their way to attack. The two ignited their Lightsabers and thus Shara began using Andros style as the lasers came at them. Shara began to block the shots as Ahsoka also did the same with her Lightsabers. Steela seeing this opened fire with her side arm trying to hit the Droids coming their way.
It didn't take long for the Battle Droids to be taken care off before the three returned to what they were doing. After all Droids weren't very smart unlike Clone Troopers.
(Battle)
With the tank came hovering up to the power plant, one droid pointed out, "Look. We have reinforcement."
Soon enough Saw pop up from the top with a smile with Lux and Barriss standing up as well as they keep on going with the droids standing in place as one said, "Hey, you're not a droid. Get down from there."
All the battle droids got hit and destroy by the tank as it ran them over, with only super battle droid remain, only for them to get hit by arrows and some blaster fire, courtesy of Photo and Churi.
Saw line up the cannon to the first door, soon fire and destroy it, with the 2nd door on place as saw took a moment to readjust and fire again, destroying the 2nd door, opening up to the power plant inside, then suddenly a squad of commando droid came rushing out and fire at everyone.
Andros knew it was their turn again as he give a whistle out to the team while he charge forward towards the commando droids, with Logos and Jinga following, as the rebel group supported them with Steela firing some cover fire and split the commando droids apart while taking out a few with the Makai team to come in close and finish the job.
Logos took out a droid as he duck under its strike and his weapon still in dagger form as he cut across tis, from tis arms, then a leg, before cutting off its head. Jinga fought against his commando droids as he try to shot at him, but he duck before draw his sword and cut the blaster in half before he brought his sword back down in a horizontal down slash cutting it in half, and with Andros fighting against two droids himself he hit their weapon away leaving them weaponless while they double team him, he just dodge their strike with ease and drew his sword quickly cutting off one of their heads before gripping Garoken with both hands and chopping the other in half as it split apart down the middle.
"You have a clear shot!" Steela yell out to her brother as he took aim and fire the shot into the power station, hitting a tower while it lease an electrical pulse with everyone taken cover from the explosion that follow after it as it release a 2nd pulse.
After that, the fire came forth and the smoke rises that could be seen through the city, as the Makai team disburse as Andros joined Ahsoka and Shara, as Ahsoka pulls out some night vision googles and see the rebels take off, with Barriss following after them, leaving the tank behind as Ahsoka said, "Looks like all that training is paying off."
"Sure has," Andros said as he, Ahsoka, and the rest of the team has help the rebels accomplish their first major mission, with Andros soon look to the fire and smoke before looking to the distant as he said, "But not doubt this will get the attention to whom has sent those horrors, they will not be happy about this."
"Well I'm sure it's nothing that you or the others can't take care of, right?" Shara asked with Andros said to her, "Only one way to find out. Let's get going as well."
"Right," Ahsoka said as she, Shara, and Andros take off as well, while at the castle the King Iziz and the servant beside him saw this, Iziz was angry as his eyes turn white while his servant said, "My lord, without power, the droids will be massacred."
"Yes... but maybe, this loss will work for us," King Rash said as it seem he has a plan before he put a hand on the servant and said, "But I will need something to settle my hunger."
"My lord?" the servant said before the king soon open his mouth very wide open as the servant eyes widen in fear before he scream out in terror!
The scene change to a distant from the castle before the screaming stop, with a loud nasty wet crunch it was heard, then silent came.
(Down at the streets)
A Patrol of battle droids were coming up unable to see around them, with Ahsoka, Shara, and Barriss were watching as a speeder came pulling up with the rebels with night vision googles as well, with the Makai team just watch the scene before them already have been adapted to see in the dark as they saw the Rebels come up to the droids as one droid said, "There's been a power outage."
"I've lost contact with command," another said with all the droids now stumbling around without any view or site as another one said, "Switch to infrared."
Soon enough that droid was taken out by a blast to tis head, follow by other shots from the rebels, taking down all the droids at once, with the people around seeing what is happening one man said in a happy tone, "It's the rebels!"
The people soon chanted out 'Freedom' 'Destroy the droids', and 'free Obderon' as the teams soon move out, to no doubt move onto their next targets of droids.
Feeling her worry Andros put a comforting hand on Ahsoka's shoulder. "It's ok Ahsoka let her be." Andros said as Ahsoka heard this. "Sometimes a bond between families is a sacred thing." Andros said showing he valued it but at least until Jinga spoke up.
"Not all the time." Jinga said with a solemn tone causing eyes to turn to him. Jinga was of course speaking of his own messed up family but even then when he realized he was heard cleared his throat a bit. "Sorry just... thinking out loud." Jinga confessed and in turn took his leave as Barriss knew what Jinga meant. After all no one could possibly understand what it must be like for Jinga to be half of a near extinct species that is despised by the Galaxy as a whole.
The pain and isolation would no doubt be maddening to any who saw it. Even more so with the Pureblood Sith's strong connection to the Dark Side. In turn she stood up and went after him silently knowing he needed her. All in all with this Rebellion hope would come to Onderon and possibly a light for future generations but that was only if they can defeat the darkness that would seek to end that hope. But with Garo on Onderon that Hope had a powerful light to aid it.
(With Jinga and Barriss)
In the room provided to the group Jinga saw alone and in turn the door soon opened getting Jinga's attention. Barriss walked in and joined Jinga sharing not a single word as they sat together. Jinga in turn proceeded to rest his head with Barriss and in turn his secret wife comforted Jinga warning off the darkness as best she could. Alas what neither of them knew was that those who bear the title of Roze are destined to court suffering for themselves and all those who associate themselves with the Knight and their hearts far too closely. It was a curse and for Jinga he was just the latest inheritor of that same curse.
