"Wohoho!" Kuma goes off with excitement once he sees Marie. While he turns away blushing Francis makes a request kindly.
"Sorry, Kuma, but do you have spare glasses?"
"There you go." Kuma hands Francis a pair with red frames. "I made this one for Amagi-chan."
As Francis hands the glasses to Marie, Marie asks calmly. "Pervert, what's that?"
"Sensei's a pervert?! What a scandal, kuma!" Kuma says surprisingly.
"At least you are not angry now…" Francis replies weakly.
The group then takes out what they bought and enjoyed the meal.
Sitting next to Chie, Francis asks her with concern.
"You okay, Chie?"
"Yeah. Why?" Chie asks awkwardly.
'It's just, you are not eating as much." Francis says with worry.
"Uh…" Chie stammers. As she does, Francis sees her blushing.
"Afraid Francis will ditch ya?" Yosuke jests.
As Chie glares at him, Francis smiles kindly.
"I won't…"
Chie looks to Francis, blushing and smiling. Their eyes remain locked in place as they smile at one another, blushing as they do.
"He's just saying nice stuff now to get…"
"Uh, Marie, you said something about a hint?" Chie cuts Marie off hurriedly.
"I wasn't finished with my sentence…" Marie pouts. She stares at Chie angrily while blushing as she does.
"Sorry, that is an embarrassing topic for me…" Chie says bashfully, blushing and looking to the floor as she does.
"Looks like you won't be getting any anytime soon." Yosuke mocks Francis joyfully.
"It's fine. That's not why I am…"
"Marie, hint!" Chie shouts, cutting Francis off. As her tone conveys her panic, her cheeks are now filled with red. Francis blushes as well, looking away from Chie.
As Yosuke chuckles, Marie takes out a hair comb.
"This is the hint?" Francis asks calmly as he inspects it. "I can't tell anything from it."
The others inspect the hair comb too, but come up with nothing.
"It really doesn't matter." Marie says gloomily. As she does, she looks to the floor with a dreary look. "At the end of the day, I just can't figure out who I am or where I am from."
"I am sure we can figure something out." Francis says confidently.
As he does, Marie looks at him with surprise, red on her cheeks.
"Are you okay?" Francis asks with concern. " I don't think I've seen you make that face before."
"I don't think I…" Marie comes to a pause. She then looks away, blushing and smiling. "Youcanbeprettycoolyoudamnplayboy."
"Playboy?!" Kuma shouts with excitement. As he does, Yosuke chuckles while Francis sighs tiredly. At the side, Chie covers her face.
As the group settles down, Marie keeps going.
"I do know another thing."
Francis continues to question her. "What is it?"
Marie speaks warmly. "Somehow I feel familiar with this town, like I belong here."
Francis keeps asking. "You mean you lived here?"
"Maybe?"
Without anything useful, Marie rubs her temple while frowning.
Seeing this, Kuma speaks up kindly.
"Marie-chan, it's okay if you don't know who you are, kuma. Kuma also don't know who I am, kuma."
"Wait, really?" Francis asks with surprise.
'Yes. One day, Kuma just appeared in this world." Kuma's eyes shift to sadness.
"What happened then?" Francis asks curiously.
"Kuma have always been…" Kuma comes to a pause, sadness on his face as he does.
"Actually, Sensei, can Kuma ask a favor of you?" Kuma asks, his face still drenched in somberness.
"Go ahead, Kuma." Francis replies kindly while smiling.
"Can you catch the person that's been throwing people in here?" Kuma asks with a sternness Francis never seen in him before.
"Well, that Yosuke's and my plan." Francis says while looking to Yosuke.
"I want to avenge Saki anyway. It's two birds with one stone." Yosuke replies confidently.
"Count me in!" Chie says with enthusiasm.
"Chie," Francis speaks out with concern, drawing Chie's attention. "Are you sure?"
"Ya!" Chie replies with energy. "No way I can stand aside while somebody is hurting and killing people. Not when I can stop it!"
"Okay." Francis replies with melancholy.
"Is something wrong?" Chie asks with concern.
"Sorry. I am just worried, that's all." Francis replies while smiling weakly.
"About me?" Chie says with surprise, blushing as she does.
Francis takes a deep breath, closing his eyes and relaxing as he does.
"You know what, screw it." He says with energy in English. He then switches back. "I know how capable you are, Chie. Sorry for being such a worrywart."
"No…" Chie replies weakly in English, looking away while blushing and smiling as she does. She then switches back. "It's okay."
"You really ado-"
"Wait!" Chie cuts Marie off both verbally and by putting her hand to her mouth, blushing as she does. "Not in front of the boys…."
Yosuke chuckles.
"I think one more will really finish her off." He says with humor as Francis blushes.
After discussing their next move with Chie, the humans get ready to leave. Before they do, Kuma stops Francis.
"Sensei…" Kuma says weakly.
"What's up?" Francis replies kindly.
"Truth be told, Kuma has always been alone in here. Which is why I am grateful that you have always treated me kindly." Kuma says with sincere kindness.
"Truly, thank you, Sensei." Kuma smiles happily.
Francis reaches out his hand, shaking hands with Kuma before leaving.
Yosuke goes his way as they are outside. At an isolated space, Francis calls Margaret to come pick up Marie.
Before Margaret arrives, Marie asks Chie for some alone time with Francis.
"Don't worry. I will tell you if he does anything." Marie says in a deadpan tone and with a serious face.
Chie smiles awkwardly while walking to the side.
"Um… Tenk yu." Marie thanks Francis politely and bashfully, blushing and smiling as she does.
Francis smiles and speaks in Japanese. "You are welcome."
Seeing Marie return to the Velvet Room, Francis and Chie talk a walk around Samegawa Riverbank. They eventually sit down on a bench near the river.
While looking to the ground, Chie remarks warmly. "Today was fun."
"Ya. It feels good." Francis says warmly while looking away into the distance. He then looks to Chie.
"I…" Francis stammers before coming to a pause. As he does, Chie looks at him.
"Never mind. It's kinda scary to tell you." Francis says awkwardly.
"I understand. I am afraid of a lot of things too when you are involved." Chie says, matching Francis in embarrassment.
Francis looks away from Chie, burning up as he does. A silence hangs between them. Despite that, Francis feels a smile on his face.
Francis turns back to Chie and speaks with embarrassment. "Sorry. For some reason, I am a total mess when you are involved."
While still looking away, Chie replies weakly. "I am the same…"
"Hey, let's do something not involved with Personas tomorrow. It's a holiday tomorrow, after all." Francis says with as much confidence as he can muster. Despite that, his heart beats uncontrollably.
With her face still turned, Chie replies weakly. "I can show you around town. Not that there's much to see…"
Even from the side and under the dim lighting due to the setting sun, Francis can tell Chie is smiling and blushing.
"Anywhere…" Francis comes to a sudden pause before turning away. He takes a deep breath and keeps going. "Anywhere is fine as long as it's with you."
"Wato?" Chie asks as Francis realizes what he just did.
As he looks her way, he sees her face still turned. Front the side, Francis can tell Chie is smiling.
"Sorry. I go off in English when I get nervous." Francis apologizes.
Meanwhile, Chie is still looking away and staring into the distance. With her gaze still averted, she says kindly. "It's fine."
Chie then turns her eyes to face Francis, looking him straight in the eyes. As she does, Francis can see her smile happily and blushing.
"Just this is fine…" Chie says happily.
After spending a long time with her, Francis escorts Chie home.
At home, Francis looks through his phone.
"Are you looking for something, Francis-san?" Nanako asks curiously.
"Ya. Just thought I need to be better."
On his phone, he looks about stuff he can talk about with people.
Later that night, Francis continues to read about things on the phone.
Is now a good time?
The inner voice asks Francis in English, the majesty still ever present in its voice despite the awkwardness.
"Oh." Francis remarks with surprise. "Ya. It is." He puts his phone away.
