It poured, the onslaught of the storm suddenly upon them, and Kagome shivered as twilight swept the skies. Who would have guessed a normal day would turn into a nightmare, sent back in time only to encounter an enraged Sesshomaru?
But he was different.
Younger and more talkative than she was used to and still intimidating as ever. Why did Inuyasha's name rouse his suspicion? He mentioned the Royal Family. His family? The Sesshomaru she recalled had sought world conquest and had even abandoned his mother. At least, that's what Jaken told her long ago during her journey two years prior.
Did that mean… this younger Sesshomaru still lived with his mother? But then, how did Inuyasha fit into all of this? Unless, of course… his father was alive. Not simply Sesshomaru's father but also Inuyasha's… Their father?!
No… that was impossible. From what she remembered, their father died long ago in battle shortly after Inuyasha was born. So that would just leave him, his mother and Inuyasha… Right?
The mere realization stunned the former priestess. Wait a minute… Did any of this make sense? Was she truly sent back further in time? If that was the case, then it made sense why Sesshomaru didn't recognize her! And if so, could he even help her at this point?
Just thinking about it made her head hurt. Even Inuyasha wouldn't recognize her, depending on how old he was in this era. What year was it? Was this fifty years before the start of her adventure, or more than that?
Kagome glanced at Sesshomaru once again. I'm going to bet it's been more than a hundred years… What era was this? Was it the Heian Era? The Nara Era? Was this even Feudal Japan? I'm… so confused…
