Chapter 29: The Fungus Aroma, Part 1

~MAY 12TH, 2022, 7:30AM~

Moe Chiba was walking towards a bus stop.

"Just in time!" She said as she then tripped and fell. "Ow!"

Moe then looks up to see another girl, which was Naomi Nomura.

"Uhh… Are you ok?" Naomi asked.

"I'm fine." Moe replied.

Naomi then got Moe back up.

"You're not gonna push me back down?" Moe asked as she laughed nervously.

"No? Why would I do that?" Naomi wonders. "Are you alright?"

Moe sighed in embarrassment.

"Urrrr! No! I can't!" Moe said as she took off her glasses and put them in her pocket and strain down her hair. She then sighed in relief. "Finally, I am out of my cocoon…"

Naomi was confused.

"Huh? What just happened?" Naomi said. "You took off your glasses and you let your hair flow down?"

"Sorry… I tried to act like an innocent girl just to get everyone my attention…" Moe said. "Not a lot of the boys in my Freshman year wanted to talk to me because I wasn't attracted… So I bought these eyeglasses and got into my shy girl persona just for that to do the trick."

"Oh… Wow… That's something… I kinda felt the same way."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Ever since I became a popular girl, I have to keep my reputation up by being nice to others! It kinda sucks, but I always wanted to pick on someone at the same level as me…"

"So… You're not gonna pick on the lower grades of the school?"

"Pfft! Nah! I always had moments ever since I became a Freshman here! I sometimes have the urge to pick on another student that's on the same level as me, male or female."

"I see… Well…"

"However, as long as they have lower or higher levels than me and I am somewhat friends with, I might turn the tides on that one…"

"Hey! I think I have an idea!"

"Really? What do you get… Your name?"

"Moe Chiba."

"Nice to meet you, Moe. I'm Naomi Nomura."

"Naomi… Got it. So, I have a plan, so listen up!"

"Tell me what to do."

~3PM~

The school day was over. Jordin, Daichi and Hatsuki were talking to each other.

"Where's Koi?" Daichi asked.

"He's staying after school with Yoshiro." Hatsuki replied.

"Man… Those two really do get along with one another…"

"You're not jealous, aren't you Daichi?"

"I'm not! I'm just saying!"

"Just leave them be." Jordin said. "Those two want to support one another for their futures."

Daichi sighed.

"Whatever, if you say so man…" Daichi said.

"Hey! Can we go to that small park that's near the school?" Hatsuki said. "I really want to see what's changing there!"

"Sure." Jordin said. "Take us to that park, Hatsuki."

When they went outside to see the park, they saw that the park was covered in trees.

"Wow! The park sure did change!" Hatsuki said. "Those trees really do grow fast!"

"It's only a myth." Daichi said. "But if it's true, then I'm surprised that these trees do that for the school."

"What does it look like on the inside?" Jordin wonders.

"I don't know! There's the entrance, so I can tell that there's gonna be an exit there!" Hatsuki said. "This almost feels like a camping experience! Or even hiking."

They then went inside the small forest.

"Let's check out the right side." Hatsuki said.

While they went to their right, Moe and Naomi entered the small forest.

"Ok, they're on their own on the right side." Naomi said. "Those 3 are Jordin, Daichi and Hatsuki… I see… Let's see… How are we gonna handle them out?"

"Oh trust me!" Moe said. "Those three are gonna be sick to their stomachs!"
