CHAPTER 27 - The other parents.

BPOV

It was Thursday. I was much more at ease, and didn't exactly know what to do.

Angela was informed of my situation by Rose, and forced me to take the week off and not work... so I really didn't have any idea what to do.

My talk with Kate, put my worries to rest... for the time being...

I was also not allowed at the gym, which was ridiculous in my opinion but, I was banned - for a while... Em made a schedule for me to do... at home! Ughhhh.

The talk with my parents also went as well as I'd expected. My parents were ready to drive down once again, but I assured them that I could handle it... or rather begged them not to come.

I really could handle it... but everyone was hovering over me, like I was a child. I loved my friends and family to bits... but I was getting overwhelmed with all their hovering.

I decided that I needed time for myself. I literally had to check in if - I was going out, unable to answer my phone, or even planning to do something else...

This was just too much for me to handle. The fact that I constantly needed babysitting was getting old.

I needed groceries anyways... so a little grocery shopping wouldn't hurt anyone.

I knew I was making excuses and pacifying myself, but I cannot live like this especially after I made it abundantly clear that I am my own person and I am capable of doing anything.

But that isn't possible, because they are not letting me do anything!

So now I'm escaping this hostage like situation and doing what I want. I didn't even change I was way too deep into my plan that I didn't even bother changing out of my leggings and hoodie.

I went to the local store in my area. So far no calls from anyone... good. Today is a busy day for most of them.

I was shopping around, when someone accidentally bumped into me -

"I'm so sorry dear. I was distracted please forgive me."

"No worries. I'm pretty distracted myself..." As I said this, I was getting further lost in thought as there was some familiarity about this beautiful person. Her eyes and her almost caramel like hair... I couldn't quite place. She really was beautiful though... and sweet.

"Dear are you ok? You seem a little lost...forgive me for intruding... Carlisle... honey over here!" She waved, suddenly, noticing someone from behind me.

I turned to look at who she was calling and a saw a very handsome looking blond man, smile at this lady while approaching us.

"Yes love... I can't seem to see our son... he's disappeared... I'm sorry - hello." He turned toward me, realizing that I had been standing there. His voice was enchanting. He kinda reminded me of someone else, I've been constantly dreaming about...

However I had to say this, they're a striking couple. And they seemed nice...

"Hi. I'm sorry... I'll get out of your way" I probably looked like a creep staring and analyzing both of them, without saying anything.

"No, no... my name is Esme and this is my husband Carlisle. You are?"

Those names sounded familiar. Something was nagging at the back of my head.

"Umm... Bella..."

"I don't mean to sound intrusive or weird Bella... but you seem... distraught. And since I bumped to you anyways as a sorry - I would like to invite you to lunch."

"Oh no... I can't possibly impose and we don't exactly know each other -"

"I understand. However, there is a small café just across. I know we just met, but I have a very strong intuition about you... I understand if you're uncomfortable, so I won't force..." she trailed off.

They did seem like nice people... and to be honest I'd rather do anything than sit at home doing nothing.

"Ok Esme... you're pretty convincing..." I smiled. She really did have a soothing voice.

"Excellent darling. Now where is that boy Carlisle?! Just text him that we will be at the café and that we expect him to join. Also tell him we have company."

"Yes love." Carlisle answered.

"So I'm guessing... or rather I know your son will be joining us?"

"Yes. You are absolutely right. I hope you don't mind. He's friendly... but he's also a nuisance at times."

Oh no... they were bringing a child. Not that I didn't like kids... but today was the worst day to be next to a kid, whose own parents described as a "nuisance".

Goddammit.!!

I just smiled and followed Esme, since I finished most of my shopping.

Esme, Carlisle and I were seated at the café. We had made small talk for fifteen minutes. Esme loved to talk and Carlisle was a man of few words, and they were married.

They told me that they had three kids. That was a surprise to me. They look so young. But who knows they might've married when they were younger??!!

I couldn't quite place the feeling of familiarity as yet. I was losing my mind. On the other hand, it has already been twenty minutes now. I was a bit concerned so I asked -

"I'm sorry to intrude or sound mean... but aren't you concerned that your little kid is in the grocery store alone?" I tried to sound level toned.

They both looked at each other and started laughing. Am I going crazy... what the hell.

It's official - I decided to spend time with people who are mad...

Carlisle and Esme calmed down (to a certain extent), when Esme said -

"Bella honey ... I'm glad that you think we are young enough to have a young child.." she was holding back her laughter "but I never said that-"

"Mom, dad. Why did you-" the voice stopped...

I knew that voice. It all made sense. It all finally clicked into place. The hair, their eyes, the feelings of familiarity in Carlisle and Esme, their names...

shit!!

"Bella?! What the hell are you doing here!"

When I turned to look properly at their son's face... I knew I was fucked!
