Reincarnated as a Tooka

A Isekai Star Wars story

Part 5a – Odianark

"The weapon of a Jedi Knight, not as clumsy or uncivilised as a blaster, an elegant weapon for a more elegant civilised age."
- Obi-Wan 'Ben' Kenobi, Tatooine, 0BBY

Deep under Coronet Spaceport amid a stack of framed carbonite flashfrozen statues and pieces of 'art' from ancient days never thawed yet occasionally traded. A rather large framed carbonite frozen slab leaned against a wall.

Thanks to the holocron in the womans bag upon the bed, the massive slab of carbonite began to thaw. Within moments the face of the frozen prisoner was thawed, lips moved as they sucked in and breathed out fresh air. The hands were slowly thawed, moving and twitching as the massive mancat soon came free of the carbonite.

Collapsing onto the steel floor with melting carbonite sludge around him. The massive Cathar looked around, bleary eyed as if waking up from a long catnap. Where am I ? Odianark wondered.

This was not Zakuul. The last thing he remebmered was going in and getting into the carbonite, the last thing he remembered saying to his own cousin was to wake him when she needed him.

So where was he ? On his hands and knees while he regained his senses, Odianark looked around in the darkness. Taking in everything around him. Breathing softly he spotted a faint glow from a nearby bed. But he also spotted stacks up oin stacks of more carbonite frozen slabs of either people or items. Mostly items.

Where was he ?

As he knlet on the floor he focused as his eyesight became clearer. More solid full color shapes began to form. Looking around the large long room Odianark spotted a table, whoever lived among the carbonite slabs knew who to use them. More then likely the owner of the table, a nice thing so even if thawed could still be supported by the frame of the carbonite slabs easily.

Odi slowly got to his feet as he felt his strength return. This was going to be a long day, somehow he knew it. He could not smell his cousin, Snowbund anywhere. But somehow, feeeling in his heart through the force, he knew Bodgey was around, somewhere.

Did she wake him up ?

No, Odi recalled, He had told Snowbund, and Bodgey too, to wake him when either of him needed him, but he could not smell either of them around. But he did smell another person, a young woman by the look of her asleep on the bed. Dressed in a dirty white dress of some sort., a bit threadbare, yet designed he saw, for practical use.

His nose then picked up another scent, Selonians! He spotted the outline of a door and went to it in the darkness, with the human woman asleep, the sensors had shut off the lights to a low dimm, he tried the control. But it was locked tight. A light slowly brightened as Odi tried the locked panel again.

Why was he on Corellia ?

He went stiff however as rthe lights slowly brightened like a sunrise. The woman no the bed he could see a bit clearer however. Odi's eyes went wide at sight of the girl, no older then fifteen, yet cxlearly in the body of an adult woman. The woman grumbled and the lights began to dim once more. Odi didnt move, keeping quiet as a cat as best he was able. He could smell selonians, He was supposed to be in a vault on Zakuul.

How did he get to Corellia ?

In the darkness he could still see thanks to his Cathar eyes, darkvision worked wonders on many levels. He quietly looked around the room, finding the shelf filled with various weapons. He picked up a pair of lightsabers. Hilts he recognised from feel alone. A gentle smile graced the Cathar's lips.

"Now what woke me up ?" Odi thought softly aloud as he looked around further. He spotted the faint glow from the bed again. And gently went for it to see what it was. Moving the bag slightly to reveal a glowing, yet very dimly so, holocron with two of its eight corners opened.

Odianark stared at the device. His breath caught in his throat as he recognised the holocron. Impossible, Snowbunds holocron ? Where did this woman get it ? He had to wonder. He reached for the device, but stopped as the woman rolled over. Suddenly gripping it under an arm. As if possessive of the device.

Oh dear.

Odi's ear pricked slightly, he sensed someone nearby. But with the door locked. Without a sound he deftly went to the locked door and listed carefully for any sound. Not a whisper. And yet, who was breathing ?

Where was he ?
