Chapter 29
Ash, Alice, Elena, and Peonia are now inside another one of the Pokemon Dens, and they find that the type is Bug, Ash says, "I think I know what this is..."
"Really?" Alice asks as they enter the place, and they see a Pheromosa staring at them. Ash says, "Pheromosa, also known as Code: Beauty. It refuses to touch anything, perhaps because it senses some uncleanness in this world."
"Just where do you get the information from? I mean...those are some weird information." Peonia says.
"Well, I got it from Lillie, she gave me the information back then." Ash says. "But it is the same type as Buzzwole, so it shouldn't be a problem."
Then they send out their Charizard, Corviknight, Unfezant, and Braviary again. The four of them use their moves together, but Pheromosa uses Swift to deal a lot of damage, and it also uses Lunge to lower their attack stat. Elena says, "This Pokemon is so fast..."
"I know." Ash says, "But we are faster than it." Then the four Pokemon attacks once more, and Pheromosa finally is down and Ash captures it in a Beast Ball.
"About how I meet this Pokemon, let's say that when it comes to Alola, she is attacking us for the Z Crystals, since it is shiny and bright, and probably the cleanest things in the unclean world." Ash says.
"How did you manage to defeat that Pokemon?" Alice asks, "I mean...that speed is fast even though it is Dynamaxed, and what about the normal one? It should be faster, right?"
"Yeah...but surprisingly, a Bewear is capable of defeating it, which allows us to send the Pokemon back home." Ash says, and Peonia says, "A Bewear? That sounds really awkward to me."
"Yeah." Ash says with a sigh.
As the next one is the Grass Type, Ash knows that the Pokemon they are going to face is not an easy one. When they enter the place, they see a Pokemon that is the same height as them standing in front of them.
"Uh oh...Kartana..." Ash gulps, "Also known as Code Name: Blade. Its paper-like body can change into swords capable of cutting anything."
"Cutting anything? If we touch its body, we would have a bloody cut on us?" Alice asks.
"So it means that it is a Steel Type Pokemon!" Elena says, and Ash says, "Yeah. But it is also Grass Type, so Fire Type will be four times super effective against it."
They send out Charizard, Salazzle, Cinderace and Lucario to battle, and with the Air Cutter and Leaf Blade, the four Pokemon have scars on their bodies. Peonia says, "You are not kidding when you said that its body is sharp..."
"I know." Ash says. "But we need to defeat it to capture it."
After struggling, they finally get to capture the Pokemon. Ash says, "When Kartana arrives at Alola, it started slicing through various objects across Melemele Island, though it helps us destroy the meteor that was about to hit Alola, and he actually created the wormhole to go home himself."
"That is really weird." Alice comments, "But this is our seventh one, how many do we have left?"
"Two more. And I have a feeling what the other two are..." Ash says.
As they get to another place, they see that the type is Ghost. Elena says, "Ghost Type...somehow I find this very scary..."
"Don't worry...I met it once and besides his strange move, it is nothing scary." Ash says as they enter the place, the Pokemon who is waiting for them is Blacephalon.
"Blacephalon, also known as Code: Burst. Blacephalon surprises opponents by exploding its own head then absorb their energy."
"Absorb energy? So it is much like a Litwick?" Elena asks, and Ash says, "Well, they have the same typing, but the energy comes from the surprise. So it looks like a clown instead."
As they send out Steelix, Hippowdon, Krookodile, and Rhyperior to battle, the Pokemon has been using Zen Headbutt to make them flinch and also using Fire Blast to deal some damage. In the end, they are still capable of defeating the Pokemon and capturing it.
"That was strange, I haven't seen this Pokemon do that strange move." Ash says, and Alice asks, "What kind of strange move are you talking about?"
"The move is known as Mind Blown, he has his head explodes to deal Fire Type damage on the opponent." Ash says, and the three girls just look at him. "Explode his head and he is still alive? That is very strange indeed."
"I know." Ash says. "But we are going into the final one, and it is also a surprising one to you all."
As they get to the final place, the type is said Steel, and Elena says, "There is one more Steel Type Ultra Beast? That's cool."
"But this Steel Type is a creepy one as well." Ash says as they enter the place, and the Pokemon is no other than Stakataka.
"Stakataka, also known as Code: Assembly. Numerous lifeforms have apparently gathered to create a stone wall that remains motionless." Ash says, "Which means, each tile on its body is a lifeform, what makes this Pokemon scary is what you see in its body."
"What?" Peonia asks, and Ash says, "Numerous eyes staring at you."
This causes them to get scared, and they send out their previous Pokemon to battle the Stakataka, it is capable of using Rock Blast and Brutal Swing to give them a lot of damage, but in the end, they are still capable of defeating it.
"Stakataka was mistaken as a pedestal, and it went on a rampage until Pikachu and I calm the Pokemon down." Ash says. "And this is the last Ultra Beast that we need to find."
"That's great. Now we just need to send this to Queen Delia and Lillie." Alice says, but just before they are leaving the Max Lair, they see another room with the symbol Psychic on it.
"Is there a Psychic Type Ultra Beast?" Elena asks, and Ash says, "I don't remember..."
But as they enter, they see that the Pokemon is Necrozma, a Pokemon that Ash is not expecting to see. "Necrozma...also known as Code: Black..."
It then uses Power Gem on them, and they quickly dodge the attack. Ash says, "This Pokemon might be the mastermind of why the Ultra Beats are here in this world..."
"What are we going to do then?" Alice asks, and Ash says, "We need to try to capture them. But I don't think our Pokemon will work since it is considered a Legendary Pokemon rather than an Ultra Beast."
"Ash! Alice!" As they turn around, they see Lillie rushing towards them, Ash asks, "Lillie? What are you doing here?"
Lillie says, "I have come to help you guys, with the Ultra Beasts you sent us, we find out that Necrozma might be the one who sent the Ultra Beasts to the world."
"We just figured it out as well." Alice says. Lillie says, "I see, so I manage to bring those two with you."
Ash opens the two Pokeballs and much to his surprise, it is Sogaleo and Lunala. "Nebby and Fwoofy!" Ash is delighted that the two of them are here, and the two of them also hug him.
Lillie says, "Queen Delia asks them to assist you, so just use them to defeat Necrozma."
"Okay." Ash says as they turn to the Necrozma, who is charging up a Charge Beam to shoot at them, but Sogaleo uses Iron Defense to block it, then it goes for a Sunsteel Strike, dealing some damage at Necrozma, and Lunala does the Moongeist Beam, blasting Necrozma to a wall.
"Those two are powerful." Alice says in awe, but Ash says, "I am not too sure yet, since from what I know, Necrozma is like us Calyrex, we can fuse with Spectrier or Glastrier, and Necrozma can fuse with either Solgaleo or Lunala..."
"That sounds bad." Elena says, and much to their surprise, they manage to see how Necrozma possessed Nebby to attack Fwoofy, but Fwoofy uses Phantom Force to split them, and then it tries to possess Fwoofy, but Nebby uses Flash Cannon to also separate them. In the end, Necrozma is tired and it eventually falls to the ground, Ash uses the Pokeball to capture it.
"So what are we going to do with it?" Ash asks.
"We should ask Queen Delia, since she might know how to deal with this." Lillie says and Ash recalls Nebby and Fwoofy.
As they come out of the Max Lair, they get to see Peony and Elena gives him a report. "You actually caught a Pokémon by usin' that mysterious clue?! Let me have a look, would you? So this one's Necrozma, the Prism Pokémon? Looks pretty dark and...un-prism-y, eh? What?! Did it come from another world, lookin' for light? Sounds like you just need to get more time out in the sun, Necrozma, mate! Chin up-you'll be sparklin' with energy in no time! The picture of prismatic health! That's that, anyway... Chief, mind lettin' me see that Legendary Clue?"
The others are hearing how Peony talks and they are just shaking their heads with annoyance, and then Peony gives a checkmark on the Legendary Clue as the quest is finished.
"Where did you get that clue?" Lillie asks, "Did this man write this clue?"
"Gaaahahaha! I didn't write this clue...but let's not let that stop the fun!" Peony says.
"Em..excuse me! Where did you find that paper, exactly?!" Just then, the scientist who was taking care of the Max Lair walks towards them and asks.
"Well, it was at our base camp..." Ash says.
Lillie says, "Wait a second, I remember you, you worked with my parents in the Aether Foundation. Does that mean those notes are yours?"
The woman nods and says, "Ms. Lillie. It is nice to see you here as well. And that's actually from my notes. I wonder how this could have happened..."
"Gahahaaa! Haven't got a single shred of an idea!" Peony says.
"Indeed, I imagine that my father hasn't." Peonia sighs.
"Anyway, I'm quite relieved that you found that paper." The scientist says, "Not to mention that you've caught Necorzma - the one responsible for that Ultra Wormhole. Please accept these with my thanks as a reward for your cooperation in my research."
Then they give them some bottles and Ash asks, "What is this?"
"This is the Ability Patch: a patch that allows a Pokémon with a regular Ability to have a rare Ability." Peonia says, "Thank you so much for this."
"And no need to worry about returning the paper. I've got another copy." The scientist says as she leaves. Peony says, "I've got to hand it to you, Chief! Only you could track down and catch a thing like that with just a single photo to go on! Still, I've got to say... Feels like we've come to the end of a chapter or somethin', doesn't it? You look ready to keep on goin' for a while yet, though! Go on then, Chief! Can't wait to hear about all the exploits and adventures you get up to from here on out!"
"Does that mean you are going to come with us as the new gym leader of Bermingsteel?" Elena asks, and Peony just laughs, "I might as well."
The group is happy as they decide to head back to the main Galar Region to find Delia and the others.
