Chapter 29
Leah came into the office a little after Spike did. She had some things to get done at the station. Spike met her at the door seeing her come in. He kissed her cheek briefly taking her hand smiling at her admiring the way she looked. "We got a bit of a problem." He looked at her.
"What problem?"
"Angel isn't here." She sighed at that going into his office checking to see if he had left any messages. Leah sat in his chair checking his E-mails. Harmony walked in seeing her sitting at his chair. "Does he have any appointments scheduled today?" Leah asked her.
"He's clear today," She answered him.
Wes came in his office seeing Leah in his chair. "Wes see Angel?" She asked him.
"Not today, I tried calling his cell no answer," he replied.
"I will take over til he shows up or if he does," Leah sighed.
Wes handed her a paper on some research he was doing with Angel. She read it over trying to understand it. "Is this to help keep his soul intact?" She asked him.
"Yes, we have been searching for quite some time." Wes left the room and Harmony handed her a cup of blood not thinking. Leah handed the cup to Spike knowing she didn't drink it. He took the cup drinking it sitting in front of her.
"So not cut out for this boss thing, they are expecting a handsome guy in a chair," Leah looked at him.
"Instead they got my beautiful wife that I'm completely crazy about" he kissed her hand.
"Always so charming," Leah smiled at him a little.
Angel eventually came in the door with Buffy following behind him. "Where the hell were you guys?" Leah asked them.
"I was with him last night," Buffy replied.
Angel leaned in kissing her a moment before breaking apart. Spike and Leah just watched them still a little confused. "I'm confused here," Leah said unsure.
"You mean you guys shagged and nothing happened?" Spike asked them.
"Yeah," Angel answered her.
"I guess you got your wish," Leah realized it finally worked. She got up from his chair standing next to Spike.
Derek came in with Riley seeing everyone standing there. Angel rolled his eyes knowing he couldn't do anything about it with Buffy there. "What's he doing here?" Angel questioned everyone.
"He broke into my apartment hiding out there. Most of the newly created vampires killed most of the guys on his team. He crashed there last night and will probably have to crash there again tonight," Leah explained.
"I say we hunt them," Spike spoke.
"At least get the number's down," Leah suggested.
"Detective, someone wants to see you," Leah looked back at everyone else leaving the room. She came back with a folder full of stuff she had to read through.
"More death's," she looked through the pictures.
"We wait til dark," Angel ordered.
"Alright whatever boss," Leah replied.
"Now everyone out,". Angel said kicking them out leaving Buffy in there. Spike took Leah's hand while Derek went to Andrew's office. Angel closed the doors locking them
"Any reason why he kicked us out?" Derek asked Spike.
"He's too busy getting laid asshole," Leah nudged him. Spike laughed at that hearing his wife. They talked a little longer before Leah decided to go in the basement enjoying the quietness. Something grabbed her from behind causing her to flip them off her.
"Just me love," Spike said getting up.
"Sorry," she helped him up.
"Nice to know you're alert," he leaned in kissing her lips.
Leah pulled back to look at him rubbing her hand along his face. "Still doesn't help that you're hot," she wrapped her arms around him.
"I'm all yours love," he held her.
Leah grabbed a broom detaching it using it as a bo staff. "Let's see how strong you are," she went to attack him.
Spike blocked her hit ducking down then fighting back. Leah noticed he was pretty strong keeping up with her making it more difficult to fight him. His face turned to full on vamp face making him much more stronger. He hit her accross the face pretty hard able to literally kill her if he wanted. She heard his growl as she continued fighting him seeing her hits weren't doing too much damage at all. It was like fighting Drake with the amount of strength he gained.
Spike was able to grab her arm putting it behind her holding on to her from behind looking at her in his vamp face. He held her still not allowing her to move. His face turned to normal looking at her. "You're a lot stronger than I thought." She looked at him.
He looked her over making sure he didn't hurt her. "As long as I didn't hurt you."
"You didn't besides I think it's kind of sexy that you're strong and you can protect me. Just shows the whole male dominate side of you." Spike smiled at that holding her.
"I think having a beautiful woman like you makes other's jealous. It makes me feel more lucky to have you. You're the only woman that has really taken time to know me and satisfies my needs emotionally and physically." He kissed on her a little.
"Your going to make me cry." She said pulling him in a hug. "I can't take it." Spike held her in his arms while she hugged him. The lights turned on causing them to look over. "Hey guys," Buffy came in with Angel behind her.
"Have fun you two?" Leah asked them. Buffy blushed a little and Angel shook his head at her.
"A little personal don't you think?" Angel asked Leah giving her trouble.
"I asked for fun not details boss," Leah rolled her eyes. Both guys snickered at that hearing her.
"Men," Buffy said playing with the broom.
Leah moved out of the way allowing Buffy to train with Angel a little. "Derek and Riley came in seeing Buffy practicing with Angel.
"Sis," Derek looked at her.
"Doofus." She replied back.
Derek playfully wrapped his arms around his sister in a choking position. Leah got out of his grasp shoving him a little. She then ran up behind him jumping on his back. Spike wasn't phased by this knowing it was her brother. They had a close relationship with one another, he was the only family she had left. He set her down after he held her a minute like a piggy back ride.
"You ok?" Leah asked Riley.
"Hanging in there," he answered her.
Leah talked to Riley a little bit catching up. Spike wasn't too keen about him being that close to her but didn't make a big deal seeing they were just talking. He knew that he had nothing to worry about.
"So I've been thinking that I may want to finally settle down," Derek came up to them.
Leah just bursted out laughing hearing that. "Right."
"I'm serious it isn't funny," Derek whined.
Leah fell to the ground still laughing at him. Spike looked in between the two a little confused. He helped Leah stand up holding her hand. "My brother wanting to settle down. I've heard this one before." Leah looked at Spike.
Angel and Buffy stopped walking over their direction. "So who's the lucky girl?" Riley asked him.
"Haven't found her yet," Derek answered him.
"Don't make me do what you did last time," Leah warned him.
"What did he make you do?" Angel asked her.
"He made me go sit a seat over once and gave me a sheet of paper that had rate my girlfriend when we were younger. It the most awkward moment of my life. You made me look like a stalker," Leah remembered.
"It worked didn't it?" Derek questioned her.
The guys couldn't help but laugh at that. Leah took a step towards Derek. "Just like you went and grabbed a pile of dog crap and set it on fire in front of one of the neighbor's houses."
"It was a prank." Derek reminded her.
Leah walked up to Buffy seeing her standing there. They started walking upstairs. And the guys followed as Angel turned the lights off. "So how are you and Angel holding up?" Leah asked her.
"I don't know, it brought back memories but there is not that whole loving connection like you and Spike have," Buffy answered her.
"Spike had time to get over you, Angel on the other hand wasn't making it easy for himself to get over you. Now that your here, it feels different to him. I hate to admit this but Angel is to attached to the past with how things were back then. Time can change things a lot. If he doesn't give himself that time he needs to figure things out, then he can't make you truly happy," Leah explained.
"She's right you know," Spike said hearing her.
"It seems like I messed every chance at love. I messed up with Spike now Angel," Buffy said aggravated.
"Maybe you just need to allow yourself to be happy. You're not so focused at being a slayer as much," Leah said guessing.
"Maybe." Buffy said agreeing with her.
Spike wrapped his arms around Leah while she was talking. Everyone else left them standing alone. She turned around looking into his eyes. His hand brushed along her face as he looked at her with nothing but love for her. "Buffy admits she should have been with you," Leah said bringing the subject up.
"She regrets it now, it's surprising it took her this long to realize it. Time does change things pet as it as it does for me. I had a feeling eventually she would regret things when it was too late. I've moved on to find my own happiness and she needs to do the same," he wrapped his arms around her.
"Spike if there is something you need to talk to her about." Leah said being understanding.
"There is nothing to discuss, I'm married now," he leaned in kissing her. This lasted a moment until he pulled back to look at her. "You're my only concern, I don't give a damn about anyone else."
"Spike," she looked into his eyes. He could easily read her without her speaking. They both went somewhere well hidden in the building locking themselves in a room. There was a large couch there that Spike lifted her up carrying her to. They stripped down to nothing making love enjoying nothing but each other. He thrusted deep in her hearing her moan in pleasure. Spike did things that made her beg for more knowing everything about her sexual needs. Both were so into each other ignoring everything around them. All that matter was their sexual needs. The things he was doing and by the way he touched her made want more of him. She felt an orgasm come on making her wet between them. He then followed after her collapsing on top of her.
They kissed a moment lying there. "I'll never get tired of this," she looked at him.
He smiled at that keeping his eyes on her. "So beautiful, I'll always want you. I never wanted anyone like I want you. You're the only woman I ever gave myself completely to."
"I'm always going to be yours," she kissed his cheek.
They got up getting dressed walking back to the main office of Wolfrum and Hart. Both of them heard Buffy and Angel arguing about their relationship with each other. "Wow first sex now arguing," Leah looked at Spike.
"Well love, sounds like a mess to me. Thankfully it ain't us," Spike held her hand.
"Don't give me a reason to be mad," Leah joked with him.
"Don't push it slayer." Leah shoved him a little while he took her hand in his kissing it.
Buffy left Angel's office angry leaving the building. Spike followed Leah in Angel's office. "What happened?" Leah asked him.
"We were talking about our relationship and she wanted to try to work things out. I told her I didn't want to talk about this right now. Then she started reminding me of things of the past. It turned into an argument," Angel explained.
Ok, then what it it that holding you back?" Leah asked him.
"I don't know how I feel anymore it's been so long," Angel said feeling guilty.
"If you don't love her stop wasting your time. I know what it's like when someone is messing with your emotions bouncing you back and forth," Spike said remembering.
"How do you feel so sure of yourself?" Angel asked him.
"I took time for myself to think about things. I didn't try to get involved with anyone for quite some time. I knew I was ready when I met her," Spike looked at Leah.
"Maybe you should do the same," Leah suggested.
"Maybe." Angel sighed.
"When you finally have enough time to get your head straight you can love that person with everything. You've been so focused on what it was like before. It's time to move on and worry about now. I've already taken a bullet and died for Spike already. Love is deeper, it's a feeling that you have for someone that's not easy to explain. When I look at him I feel it in my gut, my heart, my soul. I would do anything for him." Leah looked back at Spike meaning every word.
Her words seemed to hit Angel enough to make him start rethinking things. Spike's eyes started to tear a little as her words hit him as well. No words were spoken as Leah left Angel's office. Spike caught up to her grabbing her hand. "What do we do now?" Spike asked her.
"I'd say we focus on what we are suppose to do. We don't have time for this petty crap that has been going on between everyone." He kissed her hand pulling her close to him.
"I'll be right there with you," he leaned in kissing her cheek.
"I will too like I promised. There are more important things to worry about. I'm letting my emotions get in the way. I'm sorry," Angel came up to them apologizing.
