Chapter 29

Jason sat in a booth at a diner on the outskirts of town. "Hey." He stood and Robin embraced him.

"Thanks for meeting me."

The waitress laid some menus down. "Alright, just let me know when you're ready. I'm Allison," she said with a huge smile directed at Jason.

Robin grinned as she walks away. "You still have a way with the ladies."

Jason frowned. "What?"

"She is totally into you."

He shook his head. "What kind of person flirts when she doesn't even know if we're together?"

"Well, maybe she assumed we aren't."

He shrugged. "Tell me about Paris."

"I love my work. I'm very happy and I hear you are too."

He slightly smiled. "Yes, I am."

"I'm glad we could do this. I missed you."

"It has been a long time."

"Brenda said hello, by the way."

Jason groaned making her laugh. They figured out what they wanted and then Jason nodded at the waitress.

"What can I get you?"

He motioned for Robin to go first. She ordered a salad and Jason got a burger.

"Do you need anything else?" the young waitress asked as she ogled Jason.

"No thank you," Robin said.

Once she was out of earshot, Robin chuckled.

"Is she okay?"

"Yes. I mean, I don't think she's overwhelmingly happy, but she keeps busy."

"Good." If Brenda is good, then that means he doesn't have to worry about her getting into a lot of trouble.

Their food was brought, and they chatted here and there. The ease they used to have isn't the same, but Robin doesn't care. Hopefully, this will be a start to a friendship again.

Two busy weeks went by. Elizabeth can't believe she's two months into the semester already. Her classes will be finished by the middle of May. Unfortunately, she had to cancel the shooting range, but Georgie went and said she loved it. Mac had already taught her to handle a gun since there are weapons in the house.

"You look like who did it and ran," Tammy said.

Elizabeth sighed. "I was up late trying to finish a project and then class was at 8:00 am."

"Liz, you need to get some rest. You are dragging."

"I know. Between working here and art projects, it has been crazy, but it's almost over."

"You should take tomorrow off."

"No, I'm fine."

Tammy shook her head. "You have to take care of yourself."

Liz put on her apron. "I'll be okay. What time does Georgie start?"

"She'll be in at 11:00."

"Okay."

Lunch was very busy, so when it died down, Tammy grabbed Liz and led her to the office.

"My chair will lean back. Have at it. I think you can use a nap."

"I can't do that. I only have another two hours left."

"I'm not asking. I'm telling you."

Liz rolled her eyes. "Yes, mom."

"Girl, I am too young to be your mama." Tammy thought for a second. "Unless I was a complete ho."

Liz chuckled as Tammy turned off the light and shut the door.

Three hours later, Jason burst into the diner.

Tammy eyed him. "What's going on?"

"I can't find Elizabeth and she's not answering her phone. Enzo isn't either."

"He is checking out the perimeter. First, calm down. She's here. Second, follow me."

She led Jason to the office and his eyes filled with amusement at his girl who is curled up in a chair.

Tammy shut the door. "She is exhausted. I don't want her to come in tomorrow. I think she has a lab in the afternoon."

Jason nodded. "I'll duct tape her to the bed if I have to."

"Kinky…"

He shook his head before opening the door and then carefully, he picked her up.

"Take care of my girl," Tammy said as she held the door open.

"I will," Jason said as he made his way to the car.

The next morning, a confused Elizabeth shrieked when she saw the time. They had eaten dinner and then she remembered getting drowsy as they watched a documentary.

Jason was downstairs looking at invoices, so he ran to the room. "What's wrong?"

"Do you know what time it is?"

"Yes."

She is running around the room trying to find her sneakers.

"Elizabeth, Tammy said you are not allowed to come in today."

She blew her wild hair out of her face. "That's crazy."

"Stop." He held her still. "You need to sleep. You are running yourself ragged."

"Ugh, I know." She frowned. "Wait. What are you doing here?"

"I'm working from home so I can spoil you. Are you hungry?"

She smiled and then embraced him. "You are the best boyfriend ever."

"When I do something wrong, I expect you to remember that."

She eyed him mischievously. "I can't promise that."

He threw her on the bed and tickled her until she had to pee. Hearing her laughter is the best thing ever.

Georgie finished her shift and then went to meet Johnny at his place.

"Come in."

She gave him a quick kiss as she passed by. "What smells so good?"

"It's gravy—Sonny 101."

"Yum."

She put her books down. "I'll need you to quiz me after we eat."

"Sounds good. How are you holding up?"

"I'm tired, but it will be worth it in the end."

He fixed their plates and then sat across from her. Georgie took a bite and moaned.

"This is so good. You have to teach me."

"Okay." He's glad she likes it. In fact, he loves it when she lets him take care of her. While he likes her independence, sometimes he just wants to dote on her.

When they were finished, Georgie insisted on helping him in the kitchen, and after the last dish was put in the dishwasher, Johnny eyed her mischievously and then plopped some suds on her nose.

Georgie's eyes narrowed and then she smeared them over his face.

Johnny grabbed her as she laughed and then squirted her with the hose as she squealed. By the time they called a truce, they were both soaking wet. After noticing how hard her nipples are, he held her head and then sensually kissed her making her moan. Slipping under his shirt her hands drove him crazy as they brushed against his torso.

"Georgie…"

"Take me, Johnny."

He groaned and then sucked on her bottom lip as he lifted her and laid her on the table. Her pants and underwear were discarded, and then he pushed her shirt up so he can see her breasts.

"God, you're so beautiful."

Undoing his zipper, he shoved his pants down and then checked to make sure she is ready.

As his eyes narrowed, he sunk into her, making her cry out his name. His strokes were punishing as she begged him to fuck her harder. Georgie shuddered and then tensed, letting out a loud moan and a few minutes later, Johnny followed her over.

She laughed. "How am I supposed to eat at this table again?"

He chuckled. "I plan on taking you everywhere, so I hope you're good with that.

"I'm more than good with that."

"Shower?"

She grinned. "Hell yeah." It's time for round two.

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

Several hours later, Elizabeth sighed as she relaxed in the bath Jason had run. True to his word, he had doted on her after she got up from her nap and then went to her lab.

"You feeling better?"

She smiled without opening her eyes. "Yeah. Thank you." The nap had done the trick.

"Do you need anything?"

"Just you." Her eyes fluttered open and she watched him blink a few times.

"You have me."

"That's not what I meant."

His eyes darkened as she licked her lips. It's amazing how fast she can turn him on. Their gaze locked as he hopes she's implying what he thinks she is.

"Get in with me."

His brow raised.

"Are you allergic to bubbles?"

"Not literally…"

She laughed as she let out some water, giving him a partial view of her breasts.

"I promise I won't tell."

He pretended to think. "Well, for you, I will."

"You are too much." With hooded eyes, she watched him undress. She'll never get tired of leering at his body.

"Scoot up so I can get in the back of you."

She did, and soon she was leaning against him. "Perfect…"

"You just like using me for a pillow."

His hand inched up her body until he was playing with her breasts, squeezing them until he took it up a notch and pinch her nipples. Her moan vibrated to her chest and she could feel him harden against her back. Moving forward he nipped at her ear while his fingers reached her clit.

"Jason…"

He moaned as he stroked her and played with her nipple.

"I need you."

Usually, he'd torture her, but he needs her just as much. "Turn around and straddle me."

She slowly turned, and then sat on his lap and Jason sensuously kissed her as their tongues dueled. Her hips swirl, rubbing against his cock, so he grabbed her ass and her head lopped back.

"Now!"

He lifted her and she sank onto his hardness as they reeled from the sensation. After a minute of torrid kissing, she began to move, gliding him in and out as he pinched her nipples. Realizing that some water is splashing out, she slowed her pace and rolled her hips making him moan.

Their tongues danced together as their climax built. Unable to take the torture, Jason decided the water didn't matter and started to thrust rapidly as she hung on.

"Uh, Jason!" she cried as she shattered, taking him along with her.

Their bodies melted together.

"I love you," Jason said softly.

"I love you too."

IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

The next two weeks were quiet, but Jason got a tip and packed a bag.

"I'm going to miss you."

He stopped and leaned over to kiss her. "It shouldn't take me long."

"Who is going with you?"

"Cody… Micah and Enzo know to stick close. In fact, Enzo said he'd sleep on the couch if it makes you feel better."

"I think I would like that."

He kissed her again. "I'll call when I can."

She watched as he zipped his bag and then followed him downstairs.

"Johnny will check on you when he can, so be expecting it. If you want him and Georgie to join you for dinner, he said to tell Georgie and they'll make it happen."

She smiled as her arms slipped around him. "Be careful…"

He kissed the top of her head. "I will." He has too much riding on everything.

When the door shut, tears rolled down her cheeks as fear washed through her. While he is good at what he does, he has been hurt before and this time, she won't be there to help him.

There is a knock on the door. "Come in…"

Enzo stepped into the room. "You okay?"

She shook her head.

He moved toward her. "It will be okay."

They embraced and then she moved to the couch.

Taking a bag out of his pocket, he handed her a little wrapped package. "I thought you could use it."

She grinned when she spotted some decadent chocolate. "Thanks," she said before biting into it. "Wow, that's good."

He is glad he pleased her.

"How is your family?"

"They are great. Dad may be able to come home in a few weeks. He's frustrated because the progress is slow, but overall, the doctors are pleased."

"I'm so happy for you. Maybe sometime over the summer, Jason and I can visit."

He chuckled. "You just want to taste my mother's cooking again."

She grinned. "Maybe, but I'd like to get to know them better. You're going to be in my life, and I feel comfortable with you. Micah—I like him, but we haven't chatted much."

"Why don't you have him join you for dinner one night? He's cool."

"Alright…"

"We'll make arrangements to make sure the door is covered. Milo won't mind."

"He's nice too."

"Are there any guards that make you uncomfortable?"

She thought for a moment. "Not really…" She knows that they have a special relationship, and Johnny, Francis, and Jason do too. The vibe is different with them. Everyone is professional, but she just clicked more with the small group.

"Would you tell me if they did?"

"Yes."

"They won't get fired unless they do something inappropriate, but we can move people around."

"Duly noted…"

"Alright, you know where I am. Call me if you need me."

"I will."
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi

Johnny and Georgie entered the penthouse. "Hey!"

Liz grinned. "Hi." The women embraced.

Johnny hugged her and they got comfortable.

"What's for dinner?" he asked.

"I hope you don't mind, but Sonny checked on me and volunteered to cook."

"I don't know…" Georgie said with a grimace, making Liz's jaw drop. "Gotcha!"

Liz shook her head as Johnny chuckled.

They passed the time talking about classes and family.

"Robin is coming back. They need her at the hospital for six months for a research project."

"I'm sure your family will love that. Is she staying at Mac's?"

"Yes. If she's going to stay longer, she'll probably find her own place."

Liz nodded as the door flew open.

"Sonny's ready for you," Enzo said.

They jumped up and headed over.

Sonny grinned when he saw the ladies and hugged them. "Welcome back."

"Thanks for inviting us," Liz said.

"Jason is going to call you in about an hour, so let's get started."

She is beaming at the news.

They sat and Sonny brought out some linguini and clams.

"That smells so good," Georgie said.

"Thank you."

A salad was put on the table and then everyone dug in.

"So good," Liz said.

"Excellent," Johnny added.

"I'm glad you are enjoying it," Sonny said.

"I have a question for you," Liz said.

"What's up?"

"Well, I'm probably going to have a grand opening for my art center in July. Things are moving along quickly thanks to Lila."

"Of course, I'll come," Sonny said.

"Well, I was also wondering if you could provide several dishes. Cook from the Quartermaines is going to help with the desserts."

Sonny shrugged. "Will I cook there?"

"It would probably be easier if you don't mind. We'll have a very nice kitchen."

"What do you want me to cook?"

"Well, I have a couple of ideas. There will be a lot of kids and we were thinking of renting several pizza ovens. Have you cooked it before?"

"Yes. I could keep it pretty simple and it would probably be fine."

"Awesome! I thought maybe for the adults, we could make lasagna, with or without meat. Of course, we can have salad in case people don't want that. What do you think?"

"I could actually prepare that ahead of time."

"Georgie and I are willing to help. We can do an assembly line."

Sonny smiled. "I agree." He's happy to help. Getting kids off the street and doing something productive is always a good thing. If they could impress the parents, then more kids will be involved.

Liz clapped her hands together before taking another bite. A few minutes after they finished, her phone rang, and she went into the kitchen when she answered it.

"Hey," Jason said.

"Hi. How's it going?"

"It looks like it will pan out. We're just making some plans and watching their movements right now."

"Are you eating?"

"Cody made me eat a little while ago. It wasn't as good as Sonny's linguini though."

"Maybe you should ask for an advanced meal menu before going away again."

He smiled. "Yeah."

"Well, there are leftovers if you want me to have him freeze some."

"That might be good."

"He agreed to cook for my opening night."

Jason smiled. "He's trying."

"Are you okay with that?"

"Yes." He had thought a lot while they were driving. Sonny has been great, and he misses his friend. It's time to let it go so they can move forward.

Her eyes filled with amusement.

When she didn't answer back, he gets curious. "What?"

You just—you can say so much with one word. It's unique."

He smirked. "Are you making fun of me?"

"No."

He shook his head knowing that she had used one word on purpose.

"I try to pick up your cues and if you're not in the mood to talk, that's okay with me."

Sometimes, he still struggles with being more forthcoming. People assume that he's stupid, but he's not.

"I have to go."

"I love you."

He cherished her words for a long moment. "I love you too."
