Kanto Part 29
When Ash and Alice arrive at the Rota Kingdom, they are surprised to see how the place looks medieval. Ash says, "I wonder why would my mom wants me to come here?"
"I am not sure about that as well." Alice says while looking around this whole place, "But she did tell us to go to the Cameran Palace, right?"
Ash nods as they finally reach the gate of the castle, one of the guards stops them and he says, "State your purpose for coming here."
Ash takes out the letter that Professor Oak gave him and the guard takes it. After reading, he turns around and says, "Let the prince enter."
This causes Ash and Alice to be surprised as they are calling Ash a prince all of a sudden, "Wait, me? A Prince?" Ash asks in surprise as he was taken inside the castle along with Alice and their Pokemon.
Once they finally reach the interior, they see the queen sitting on her throne, and Jenny, who is standing beside her. The queen is no other than Delia Ketchum, Ash's mother. "You have finally arrived, Ash." Delia says with a smile.
"Mom? What is the whole meaning of this? How come we become royalty all of a sudden?" Ash asks with a surprise.
Delia says, "We Ketchums have been royalties for centuries, but because being a royalty makes a lot of things complicated, which is why I usually stay at Pallet Town for us to have a normal life."
"Okay..." Ash says, and then Delia asks the servants to bring Ash and Alice to their changing rooms so that they can dress formally for the royal dinner.
After what seems to be a long hour, they are now sitting at the table as Ash is now wearing just like Sir Aaron in one of the portraits, and Alice is wearing a white dress and a small tiara.
Delia says, "Now if you are wondering how we have become royalty, let's say it is because of our ancestor, Sir Aaron."
"Sir Aaron..." Ash mutters, "So he is our ancestor?"
"Yes, he was a knight of Cameran Palace, and he is also an Aura Guardian, able to manipulate a type of energy known as Aura."
Alice asks, "Aura? What is that?"
"Aura is the essence of every living creature. Pokemon auras are different than humans, which is why Pokemon can use Pokemon Moves while we couldn't. But there is a type of people that are capable of using Pokemon Moves, that is the Aura Guardians."
"So our ancestor is an Aura Guardian, does that mean we are also Aura Guardians?" Ash asks in confusion, Delia smiles and says, "We are, in fact, there are only two kinds of family that are capable of using Aura. The first one is the Ketchum Family, and the second one is the Masho Family."
"Masho Family is my family...even I can use Aura as well?" Alice asks in surprise.
"Of course, but you two are inexperienced with Aura training, which is why you won't be able to do what Aura Guardians could do." Delia says. "And that is the reason why I call you two here in this Rota, so I can give you proper training."
Ash and Alice nod as Ash asks, "Can you tell us more about our ancestor?"
Delia nods and says, "As you can see, there is a war between the two families, Ketchum and Masho are enemies in the past. Cameron Palace is involved in their battles, so Sir Aaron tries to stop the war by sacrificing himself."
"Sacrificing himself?" Ash asks, "How did he do that?"
"By going to the Tree of Beginning and transfer all of his aura to Mew." Delia says with a sigh. "I wouldn't suggest you go to the Tree of Beginning, because Aura Guardian or not, they would activate a defense system and you would be killed there."
Ash and Alice can only nod as they hear the stories about their ancestors while having their dinner. After that day, Delia has called upon Mew to train the two of them with aura. Both of them are trying to manipulate the aura and eventually, they manage to form their auras into weapons, and they can learn what Pikachu and Eevee are talking about, and in the end, Mew decides to join Alice as she wants to give them another quest.
Kanto Dex Entry No.151 Mew: The New Species Pokemon: Psychic Type. So rare that it is still said to be a mirage by many experts. Only a few people have seen it worldwide.
Mew teleports them to Cerulean City, which is not far away from the Rota Kingdom. Ash asks, "Mew? Why are we here?"
Mew says, "My brother is waiting for you in the Cerulean Cave, I want you to help him."
"Help him?" Alice asks, "What do you mean by that?"
Mew says, "Let's say that Team Rocket has done something to him, making him vicious and powerful, they want him to become an ultimate weapon to conquer the world. You two are the ones that stop Giovanni, so I want you to try to calm my brother down and tell him that the world is not just what he sees."
"I see...so it is a lab experiment. I will try." Ash says as they go to the cavern, there, they go downwards until they reach a plateau where Mewtwo is. Upon noticing Ash and Alice, Mewtwo leaps forward and lets out a fierce roar, he says, "Humans, you have come here once more, I'll show you why you should be afraid of me."
Ash says, "You are not going to scare us! Gengar! I choose you!"
As the Pokemon appears, it tries to use Shadow Ball, but Mewtwo manages to dodge the attack and it uses Psychic, causing Gengar to be sent to the wall.
"He is so powerful." Alice says as Mew is also showing concern with Ash. Ash has Gengar uses Toxic, even though it manages to poison the Pokemon, it is still defeated by an Ice Beam.
"Maybe I should use a Legendary Pokemon, Zapdos! I choose you!" Ash yells as he sends out the Legendary Bird Pokemon, even though Zapdos manages to deal some damage with the Thunder Attack, Mewtwo just uses Recover and then uses Ice Beam on Zapdos.
"It can use Recover as well...how strong is this Pokemon?" Ash says as he thinks of the diary they have found in the Pokemon Mansion. "Mewtwo..."
"Mewtwo?" Alice is confused, and Ash says, "Remember the diary that we found in Pokemon Mansion, if he is capable of destroying everything, then we will need to think of a strategy."
"You're right, and we don't actually have Dark Type Pokemon with us...what are we going to do?" Alice asks with concern.
Ash has continued to lower its Health Points by using Butterfree's Bug Attacks, which are super effective, but Butterfree is knocked out by the Psychic Attack as well. Ash switches into Aerodactyl, trying to use Bite attacks on the Pokemon, and Ash is surprised to see it capable of using Aura Sphere, and it also knocks out Aerodactyl as well.
"Now I only have two Pokemon left..." Ash says as he asks Pikachu to help. Pikachu is now battling Mewtwo very hard, and with the Toxic continuing to do damage on Mewtwo, it manages to do some damage to Mewtwo. But Mewtwo with its repetitive Recover and Ice Beam causes Pikachu to eventually faint as well. Ash has only one Pokemon left and that is Charizard.
"Go, Charizard! You can do it!" Alice says as Eevee also cheers for them.
Mewtwo counters Charizard's Fire Blast with Barrier and Swift, downing the Flame Pokémon, but Charizard manages to recover from its fall, Charizard charges in with a Slash attack, but Mewtwo easily counters it, sending both Charizard and Ash flying off the isle and into the depths of the cave's waters.
"Ash!" Alice yells in horror as she rushes towards the waters to see if Ash is still there, while sinking, Ash is beginning to lose all hope, but when he sees Charizard's determined face, he regains his confidence and starts swimming towards Charizard.
After a while, Ash and Charizard jump out of the water, causing Mewtwo to be surprised, then Charizard uses Fire Blast, and it severely weakening Mewtwo. Ash takes out an Ultra Ball and says, "Now it's my chance!"
As Mewtwo goes into the ball, it shakes for a second until it bursts apart, showing that Mewtwo isn't ready to be caught yet. Mewtwo roars in a ferocious rage and fires a Swift attack straight at Charizard. Charizard easily endures the hit and retaliates with its own Swift attack, which Mewtwo finds impossible to dodge.
"Use Slash!" Ash yells, and the Flame Pokémon strikes Mewtwo repeatedly with its sharp claws. In the end, a Thunder Punch can send it flying straight into a nearby stalagmite, and Mewtwo is now barely even able to stand up.
"Let's do it again!" Ash throws another Ultra Ball, and this time Mewtwo is captured. Alice jumps in joy and hugs Ash, she says, "You did it, Ash!"
Kanto Dex Entry No.150 Mewtwo: The Genetic Pokemon: Psychic Type. It was created by a scientist after years of horrific gene splicing and DNA engineering experiments.
Pikachu and Eevee are also cheering for their trainer, as well as Charizard and Mew. Mew says, "You have done your mission, Ash. Now let's head back to the Rota Kingdom."
The two of them nod as they get back to the Rota, once they are at the battlefield, they send out Mewtwo, who is still angry at them. Ash walks forward and he uses his aura, he says, "I know you are in pain because of Team Rocket, but let me tell you, you are not an ultimate weapon. You are a Pokemon, a friend, and you don't need to suffer anymore since Team Rocket is now gone."
Mewtwo suddenly feels a calm feeling with the boy in front of him using Aura. Ash starts to feel his energy-draining as he eventually passed out.
"Ash!" Alice looks in horror as Ash is about to fall to the floor, but fortunately, Mewtwo manages to catch him and he gives Ash a nod, approving to be Ash's friend and Pokemon.
After several hours of resting, Ash is waking up from his unconsciousness and he notices Alice is sleeping beside him, waiting for him to wake up. Ash smiles and he feels lucky to have a girl like Alice deeply take good care of him, and then he touches her hair, causing her to yawn a little as she also wakes up.
"Ash...thank goodness you are awake." Alice mutters, and Ash says, "Yeah...how is Mewtwo?"
"Mewtwo is fine, he is getting along with our Pokemon, your use of Aura manages to open his sealed heart." Alice says with a smile.
"I am glad." Ash says, "So what are we going to do tomorrow?"
"Who knows, let's think of that tomorrow." Alice says with a chuckle as they continue to rest up.
Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, Ash and Alice finally have Mew and Mewtwo in the team, and the two of them are capable of manipulating Aura like in my other stories that I wrote. I hope you like this chapter, and the next chapter will be the changes from the first generation to the second generation, which means that Ash and Alice are about to start their journey in the Johto Region.
