Here we go. Next season is a go. This one is called Zoroark's Rage. As I said before, this is the season where the whole intense violence and sexual scenes come into play. I'll give a warning in the related chapters if you don't want to view it, but if you can't handle reading that sort of stuff, well you probably shouldn't have clicked on this story in the first place. Also I won't be doing every damn city. There's only so much filler I can put before I drive myself and you to boredom, and I don't have any plans to tell the story of Black and White the exact same way it was in the games. Anyways, without any further delays, here we go.
March 10th, 2019. 5:00 pm.
Logan finally woke up after having been completely dead to the world, again, since he passed out at the dojo. He still didn't look good, but he didn't look like he was about to die this time. "Oooooooooh my head. God I gotta piss." slight hangover had worn off, but Logan's... not so much. He got up and helped the groggy fox get up and gave him a shoulder Ben had been looking up certain strategies while Logan was zonked. Ben walked over to Logan and gave him a shoulder to lean on to the bathroom. He struggled with Logan's weight, but Logan wasn't horribly unstable though so it wasn't too difficult for him to do. Once he'd led Logan to the toilet, he let go and got ready to leave, when he saw the tall Zoroark still slightly swaying, and unsteady on his feet.
"Uh, maybe you should sit down this time." Ben lifted the lid up and helped the fox sit down, then he left. He waited just outside the door. While he was doing so he looked at the new accessory Lawrence had gifted them. He could swear he felt a small amount of energy coming from it. It was very strange, this was basically a special type of rock wasn't it? Well, then again, Mega Stones were a thing. Why did those make a Pokémon Mega Evolve with trust, a bracelet, and a stone? Who the hell knows. So he couldn't shake the feeling that this was important. Obviously it was important to Lawrence, he wouldn't have kept it for so long if it wasn't, but he felt that this was important in a grander sense. However, there really wasn't time to worry about that now. He had a very hungover fox to care for. He heard the toilet flush, and took that as the cue to walk back in. The fox was stumbling his way to the sink to clean his clawed hands off. Ben turned it on and handed him the soap. Logan quickly cleaned his hands off and then accepted Ben's help back to the room. His brain felt like it was trying to beat its way out of his skull with how much it seemed to be throbbing, but that was an improvement.
"Note to self, 15 shots is past what I can handle, at least for now." Ben really didn't like that sentence. It implied that Logan had plans to drink at least close to that heavily in the future.
"You should probably just not drink anymore." This earned a laugh from the fox despite how feeling like... well he would've said he felt like dog shit, but that would be an insult to dog shit.
"But that's not fun is it?"
Ben could only sigh at this. "I think you may have a drinking problem."
"It's only a problem when I run out." Another sigh. This fox was going to kill him. No doubt about it. That didn't really matter right now though. He had something to give to this irritating creature. Ben walked back to where the table he'd been sitting at during Logan's alcohol induced slumber. The bracelet with the second Fate Stone again felt grander than it seemed when he touched it. Where was this feeling coming from? Was it just a case of him placing great importance on something that didn't deserve it, or was it a premonition? Eh, questions for later. If they truly were what he felt, they'd surely find out. He presented the bracelet to Logan.
"Lawrence gave me these after you passed out and-"
Logan cut him off. "We went there today?"
"... Uh, yes, we did. Guess you forgot. Anyways. He said these are meant to bond a Pokémon and trainer at a deeper level. These belonged to him and his trainer, who has since passed away. He said that with his time starting to near its end, he didn't want these to go unused, so he gave them to us. Will you wear this?"
Logan stared at the shiny metal and stone. He seemed deep in thought, or it could be him getting ready to faint from alcohol poisoning... again. It was several tense moments before the vulpine spoke. "It's been, a good few months that we've known each other now... When we met, I was... mean, cruel..." He rubbed his arm nervously. He always got nervous when he opened up. Probably afraid of getting emotionally hurt. "I thin that with your kindness, I've started becoming better. I was so scared of opening up again, of screwing up again, that I made an attempt on my life... I'm alive because of you. I want to repay you, somehow, but I don't think I ever can. The very least I can do, is fight on your team, 'till they put one of us in the ground. Sound good?"
The otter smiled warmly. "Sounds perfect to me." He handed it to Logan. "Try it on." Logan pressed his clawed fingers together to narrow his hand, sliding the bracelet on. It fit fairly well. Logan took a slightly sputtering breath. "You ok?"
"It almost feels like... its giving me an energy boost. Very small, but its there." Ben nodded and responded that he had the same feeling. "Strange... I've never seen anything like it."
"Well we're still young adults. We haven't seen much of the world." Logan nodded and after having a bottle of water as well as a snack, said he was gonna get some more sleep.
May 5th, 2019. Noon.
Ben had managed to convince Lawrence to do some of his Super Training with the rest of his team. He had focused on making their strengths even stronger rather than trying to cover up their weaknesses. If you found yourself having to cover your weakness because its become a major issue, well you didn't plan your strategy very well then, or you're being outplayed. Either way, Ben preferred to maximize strengths over cover weaknesses.
Today was also Logan's final day of training under Lawrence. It would be a short day for Logan, because he'd done some warmups, various stretches and minor exercises, and then he was gonna spar with Lawrence one final time to see just how far he had come. Ben remembered just how easily Logan got shown up in their first battle. Logan's inexperience and youthful behavior had led to a quick defeat. He was still young and brash, but hopefully it had been tempered.
He had certainly improved a lot though, Ben had watched a couple sessions to see how things were going, and in the last one he saw a couple weeks ago, Logan's precision surprised him greatly. Logan had become determined to do well and it showed. Ben had watched in amazement as Logan spun, leapt, broke two boards with kicks midair, then landed near perfectly on one foot, in constant rotation all the while. He doubted the vulpine could be classified as a master, not even close, that required many years of training, but Logan was definitely impressive. If Logan's youthful energy could keep him in the fight long enough for the old Lucario to tire, he could actually win this.
It was time to find out. Logan and Lawrence took their spots on opposing sides, one last time. Few words were said. They didn't need to be said. Logan was out to prove that despite his still relative inexperience in comparison to the blue jackal, he was a serious threat. Lawrence was out to prove that Logan still had a lot to learn and improve on. Both of these statements were of course true, but they both held theirs as more true.
Logan kept his stance relatively narrow. He turned to the side a good bit. Holding both fists up to about chest level, leading with his right. He wanted to remain quick on his feet.
Lawrence on the other hand chose a wider, more solid stance, holding his fists close to head height. He was fairly slower than the Zoroark, his best bet was to try and trade damage with the more fragile fox, therefore he had to maximize the force of his hits.
The others who were there for the class watched on. They all wanted to see how this would play out. Some of them had put money on a winner, even whispering out bets now in the final seconds before it started. Ben stayed quiet. He wanted to cheer Logan on, yet he didn't want to distract him.
The silence between the canines was lengthy, before Logan finally sprang forwards.
