Episode 29: Have You Lost Your Egg?

"With Charmander now in Chase's team, he is building strength to achieve his goal. For now, his goal is to win his third badge in Vermilion City. But, a wonderful experience is on their way and guess what? It is approaching them."

The group stops as Pikachu and Eevee suddenly become restless. The group also feels the ground trembling, which Elaine thinks to be an earthquake. However, they are shocked as they see a whole forest moving towards them. The group is frightened by the sight and try to run out of the way, but Pikachu stumbles and falls down. Suddenly, a woman in a white coat and glasses appear out of nowhere and helps Pikachu get to safety with the rest of the group. As the forest moves past them, the group notices heads hanging from the trees.

Riley finally recognises it as an Exeggutor group. The young woman supports his opinion before Chase thanks him for saving Pikachu. She introduces herself as Dr. Ella, a Pokemon researcher who studies the migration habits of Pokemon. She tells the group that many Pokemon migrate with changing seasons to find a suitable place to live. Currently, the Exeggutor are undergoing mass migration from south to north. Chase scans his Pokedex for Exeggutor.

Pikachu senses something else and goes to find a living group of eggs. Ella tells them it to be an Exeggcute, the pre evolved form of Exeggutor. Chase scans his Pokedex for Exeggcute and notices that it has an egg missing from its body. Elaine asks it about the missing egg's whereabouts and finds that it is carrying a Leaf Stone. Ella explains that Exeggcute need a Leaf Stone to evolve into Exeggutor. Cahse questions that why it is not evolving. Ella concludes that it probably needs all of its eggs together to evolve. Pikachu and Eevee talk to the Exeggcute before Pikachu somehow explains Chase that Exeggcute's lost egg is trapped within the Exeggutor group.

Elsewhere, Team Rocket are asleep in a tent. Meowth senses some trembling and peeks out to check. He finds a forest approaching them. Scared, he wakes up James and Jessie to inform them about the moving forest. They ignore him, telling him that he has had a dream. As the trembling becomes more significant, they also peek out to see the forest. But, it's too late and they are crushed beneath the stampede. After the group passes, they find the lost egg of the Exeggcute. James realises that it was a moving group of Exeggutor. Meowth captures the egg in a glass case and comes up with a plan to catch all the Exeggutor.

Elsewhere, Ella leads the group to her caravan and reveals that she has been following the group since a week. She tells them that she has observed that the group travels only in daytime and stops by the evening to rest. She drives the group to the Exeggutor group and find that they have stopped as the sun is about to set. They wait till sunset so that all the Exeggutor fall asleep. The group calls out all of their Pokemon to help find the lost egg.

Everyone searches among the sleeping forest, but soon they return empty handed. The Exeggcute is disappointed, but, Butterfree arrives with an egg. Ella recognises it as an Pokemon Egg, hence it doesn't belong to Exeggcute. Chase shows sympathy with the Exeggcute and decides to search once more.

Just then, a huge ball comes rolling towards them. An antennae pops out of it and a voice commands Exeggutor to wake up. Chase recognises it as Team Rocket's Meowth's voice. As the Exeggutor wake up, a strange wave compels them to walk towards the ball. Pikachu and Eevee are also affected and start walking towards the ball. On Ella's advice, Elaine calls Eevee back to her Pokeball, but Chase clears that Pikachu dislikes being in a Pokeball. Hence, Chase follows Pikachu inside the ball. A large gate opens and all the Pokemon move into the ball. As all Pokemon get inside, Team Rocket come out of the ball and recite their motto. The group and Ella reveal themselves to confront them. Meowth introduces them to their new Giant Ball Mecha and tells them that it helped them amplify Exeggcute's lost egg's Confusion attack. Ella realises it as the cause for which Exeggcute wasn't affected.

Inside the mecha, Chase wakes up Pikachu and they together find a way to the Mecha's pilot chamber.

Outside, Jessie considers the egg to be a waste now and throws it. Ella catches it as the gate of the Mecha opens and all the Exeggutor walk out. Shocked, Team Rocket checks and finds Pikachu and Chase inside the pilot chamber. They trap, Team Rocket in the Mecha and themselves make it out. Ella reunites all of Exeggcute's eggs and it evolves into an Exeggutor. It uses Barrage on the Mecha along with the whole group of Exeggutor. Finally with the help of Pikachu's Thunderbolt, the Mecha explodes and Team Rocket blasts off. The Exeggutor promptly thanks the group and Ella for their help before joining the rest of the group.

The next day, Ella drives the group to the Vermilion City and also hands over Elaine the Egg found by Butterfree in an Egg case to keep. She asks her to take care of it before and after it hatches. The group then enters Vermilion City, while Ella leaves to follow the Exeggutor group.
