Time to meet Eliza's dog~! His name, iirc, was actually suggested to me as a Z name by my Tumblr friend disneyfan50 a little while ago, I found a good use for it!

Eliza Gets A Dog – Part 2

"… Zero?"

"No."

"Fuzz?"

She sighed, "No, Bonzo."

"Zebedee."

"Is that even a name?"

Bonzo looked almost offended, "Za!"

"You know what?" Eliza straightened up and turned to face him, "You are not allowed to help name my dog anymore."

Bonzo scowled at her and gave an exaggerated huff of disappointment. Zed, standing beside him, just laughed.

"Anyway," Zed began as he gave Bonzo a firm pat on the shoulder, "When are you picking him up?"

"Right after school tomorrow."

"And we are obviously coming over."

"Obviously."

– BEYOND THE BARRIER –

The next day, the Scythes family brought home a young, cream-coloured English bulldog. He wasn't quite a puppy anymore – definitely older than Zoey's Puppy – which meant he hadn't been as likely to be adopted by humans, but here he was now in his new home. He'd spent much of the journey back to Zombie Town from the shelter asleep in Azalea's arms, but Eliza hadn't been able to resist petting him and even baby-talking to him sometimes. She couldn't help it, this was her dog.

Zed and Bonzo showed up around half an hour after they got home, and it didn't take long for Bonzo to get down on the floor to play with him. Zed, however, had more important things on his mind.

"So, what are you calling him?"

Eliza's gaze fell to the floor, "… G… zm…" she mumbled, partially from behind her hand. Zed and Bonzo shared a knowing smile.

"What was that?"

She rolled her eyes but they just kept on smiling. Mocking her. As usual.

"Oh my Z, why are you like this?" she groaned but when their expressions didn't change, and they only leaned in closer, she huffed and folded her arms, "… Gizmo."

Bonzo's whole face split into an excited grin and Zed burst out laughing. Gizmo barked at the sudden noise.

"Garzedd-zig!" I knew it!

"Look, I didn't choose it 'cause it's a Z name, it's just a cute name for a dog, and it's like, tech-y so it suits me, it just happens to have a Z in it, OK?" her defense came tumbling out of her mouth like a waterfall.

Zed, clearly not believing her for a second, shook his head. He was still smiling, "Sure," he glanced briefly at Bonzo, "So, what, now I'm the only one with a pet without a Z in their name? Eliza was supposed to be the odd one out here," he locked eyes with her again and pretended to be hurt, "You betrayed me."

Eliza broke and let out a short laugh, "Puppy isn't even your dog."

"So what your saying is you've actually betrayed me by getting a pet in the first place and leaving me to be the only one without a pet?"

Now, Eliza and Bonzo shared a cruel smile, and Eliza sat down beside him, prompting Gizmo to amble over and sniff at her hands, looking for some attention.

"Yes."

"Za."

Zed paused, chewing on the inside of his cheek. Then he smirked and quirked an eyebrow at Eliza, "You know, you could've just said that Lea named him."

Eliza's smile dropped when she realised he was right, "… Shut up."
