Chapter 29.
(Harry POV)
When I woke up, I saw Martha still sleeping against me. I noticed Mel had went to, Must of when back to her spot. Martha is what just so cute laying against me. But I hate having to wake her up.
"Martha," I said. "Come on, Time we got up,"
"Okay, I'm up," Martha said.
"Come on, time we got up there, See where we are?" I said.
"Alright, So what am I going to wear," Martha said.
"Check the wardrobe, This old girl always seems to have something," I said. As I grabbed my clothes and went for a shower. Once I was showered, I changed into my clothes and then went back into the room, Martha some how had found the same outfit she had for ages. "Told you didn't I,"
"Yeah, you did, but I need some food," Martha said.
"Go get showered then we go to the kitchen," I said.
"This place has a kitchen too," Martha said.
"Yeah," I said.
Then Martha smiled at me, then grabbed her Clothes and walked passed but she stopped and kissed me before she went on into the Shower.
Then I went and got my Sonic and Phaser. After checking that the Phaser Cell and everything was working properly. Then Martha came out, Dressed.
"Ready," I said.
"Let's go," Martha said.
Then we headed out and headed towards the Kitchen not before passing the Pool.
"There's a swimming pool too," Martha said.
"Yeah," I said.
"How," Martha said. "Just how big is this place?"
"No idea, Don't really ask anyway," I said. As we reach the kitchen where we got something to eat. Then we headed up to the Control room where Dad was already there.
"Hey, Martha pass your phone," Dad said.
"Why?" Martha said.
"Just pass him it," I said.
"Okay," Martha said. Pulling out his phone. Then Passed it over to him. "What you doing?"
"You'll find out," I said.
"There we go, universal roaming," Dad said. "Never have to worry about signal again," As he passed it back to Martha.
"No way, it's too mad," Martha said.
"Seriously, you can anyone, Anywhere in space and time on your mobile," I said.
"Long as you know the area code, Frequent flyer's privilege," Dad said.
"Go on try it, call Leo," I said.
Then We started to shake. And a alarm going.
"What's that?" I said.
"Distress signal, locking on, might be a bit of," Dad said as we landed and I managed to catch Martha again. "turbulence, Sorry,"
"You okay?" I said.
"Fine," Martha said. "Thanks to you,"
"Come on, you 2, let's take a look," Dad said As we headed out. "Wow, That is hot,"
"It's like a sauna in here," Martha said.
"Venting system," Dad said as Martha took her coat off and I put it back into the Tardis, Then back out. "Working at full pelt, trying to cool down, wherever it is we are,"
"Well, if you can't stand the heat, Get out," I said as Dad opened the door.
"That's better," Dad said.
"Oi you 3," Someone said.
"Get out of there," She said.
"Seal that door, now," He said.
"Who are you? What're you doing on my ship," She said.
"Are you police?" He said.
"Why would we be police," Dad said.
"We got your distress signal, We came here as soon as we got it," I said.
"If this is a ship, why can't I hear any engines?" Dad said.
"It went dead 4 minutes ago," She said.
"So maybe we should stop chatting and get to Engineering Captain," He said.
"Secure Closure active," It's computer said.
"What," She said.
"This ships gone mad," He said.
"Who activated secure closure, I nearly got locked into Area 27," Another girls showed up said. "Who are you?"
"He's the Doctor, I'm Harry, This is Martha," I said.
"Hello," Martha said.
"Impact projection 42 minutes 27 seconds," Computer said.
"Harry," Martha said.
Then I went over and saw the Sun.
"Dad," I said.
"We'll get out of this, I promise," She said.
"42 Minutes until what?" Dad said.
"DAD! Look," I said.
"42 minutes until we crash into the sun," She said.
"How many crew members on board?" Dad said.
"7, Including us," She said.
"We transport cargo across the galaxy, Everything's automated," HE said.
"Call the other's I'll get you out," Dad said.
"What's he doing," He said as I saw the Temp of it.
"Dad, Don't," I said.
As He get threw back.
"My ship is in there," Dad said.
"In the Vent Chamber," He said.
"It's our lifeboat," I said.
"It's lava," He said.
"The Temperature's going mad in there, Up 3,000 degrees in 10 seconds and still rising," She said.
"The closer to sun the hotter going to get," I said.
"He's right," He said.
"We're stuck here," Martha said.
"So, We fix the engines, we steer the ship away from the sun, simple," Dad said.
"Where's Engineering," I said.
"Down here," She said.
"Impact 40. 26," Computer said.
"Blimey, Do you always leave things in such a mess," Dad said.
"oh my god, What happened?" He said.
"It's wrecked," He said.
"Pretty efficiently too, Someone know what they were doing," Dad said.
"Where's Korwin," She said. "Anyone heard from him or Ashton,"
"No," He said.
"Do you mean some one did this on purpose," I said.
"Korwin, Ashton where are you? Korwin Can you answer? Where is he he should up here," She said.
"Where are we?" I said.
"We're in the Torajii System, Lovely," Dad said. "We've a long way from Home, Half a Universe away,"
"Yeah, Feel it," Martha said.
"And you're still using energy scoops for fusion hasn't that been outlawed yet?" Dad said.
"We're due to upgrade next docking," She said. "Scannell, Engine report,"
"Nothing," Scannell said. "No response,"
"What?" She said.
"They're burnt out, The control are wrecked I can't get them back online," Scannell said.
"What about Auxiliary Engines," I said.
"The Auxiliary Engines are in the front of the ship," She said.
"With 29 Password sealed doors between us and them," Scannell said.
"Can't you override the doors?" I said.
"No, They're all deadlock sealed," Scannell said.
"Sonic won't do shit then," I said.
"Nothing's Any use, We've got no Engines, no time and No chance," Scannell said.
"Oh listen to you, Defeated before you even started where's your DunKirk Spirit?" Dad said.
"Who's got the door passwords?" I said.
"They're randomly generated, Reckon I'd know most of them, Sorry, Riley Vashtee," Riley said.
"What're you waiting for Riley Vashtee?" Dad said.
"It's a 2 person job, One to take this for the questions, The other to carry this, The Oldest and cheapest security system around," Riley said.
"Reliable and simple just like you Riley," She said.
"Try to be helpful, Get abuse, Nice," Riley said.
"I'll help you. Make myself useful," Martha said.
"I'll come with you," I said.
"It's remotely controlled by the computer panel. That's why it needs 2," Riley said.
"Oi, Be careful," Dad said.
"You too," Martha and I said.
Then We headed.
"Impact in 34.31," Computer said. "Heat Shield failing at 25% Impact in 32.50,"
"Hurry up will you?" Martha said.
"All right," Riley said. "Fix the clamp on,"
"What're you typing," I said.
"Each Doors code is the answer to a random question set by the crew," Riley said. "Nine tours back, We got drunk, thought them up, If we're hijacked, we're the only ones who know all the answers,"
"So you type in the right answer," Martha said.
"Then That sends an unlock pulse to the clamp," I said.
"Yeap, But we only get one chance per door," Riley said. "Get it wrong, the whole system freezes,"
"Better not get it wrong then?" Martha said.
"Ok, Date of SS Pentallian's First flight? That's all right, Go," Riley said.
"Yes," Martha said.
"28 More to go," I said.
Then We got to the next door.
"Martha, Harry, Riley, How you doing?" Dad said.
"Area 29, at the Door to 28," I said.
"Yeah, you've gotta move faster," Dad said.
"We're doing our best, Dad, We call you if we need help," I said.
"Find the next number in the sequence. 313, 331, 367," Riley said. "What,"
"379," I said. "Prime Numbers,"
"Are you sure? We only get one chance," Riley said.
"Yes," I said. "Type it in," Then It opened. "We're through to 28,"
"Keep moving, fast as you can, Harry, Martha, Be careful, there maybe something else on board the ship," Dad said.
"Any time you want to unnerve me, feel free," Martha said.
"Will do thanks," Dad said.
"Impact in 30.50," Computer said.
"Can't believe our lives depend on some stupid pub quiz is that the next one," Martha said.
"Ah, this is a night mare," Riley said. "Classical Music, Who had the most predownload #1. Elvis Presley or the Beatles,"
"Elvis," I said.
"How," Martha said.
"What. I had some time, between stops so," I said.
"We're in," Riley said.
"Let's go," I said.
Then We got into 27. At Door 26.
"What's this one?" I said.
Then There was a scream.
"What was that?" Martha said.
"That's sounded like Abi," Riley said.
"Who's that the ships Medic," I said.
"Impact in 27.06," Computer said.
"What how am I meant to know this. What game was only on Microsoft and Xbox, Not included Playstation consoles," Riley said.
"Halo," I said.
"What," Riley said.
"Halo, That was the only game I knew that wasn't on Playstation, I had both, I was trying to find Halo for Playstation, But on the internet at the time said that Microsoft wasn't making Halo or giving it to Sony Who was running the servers for Playstation," I said.
"Okay," Riley said. And the Door opened. "Nice,"
"Thanks," I said as we went for door 25.
"What the next one?" Martha said.
"Oh what the hell, Science fiction. What Movie was the Enterprise D Destroyed in?" Riley said.
"No clue," Martha said.
"Generations," I said.
"What," Riley said.
"Enterprise D was Galaxy Class Starship. In Star Trek Generations was when it got destroyed after they were forced to crash land using the Saucer selection, Since the Drive Selection which held onto the Warp core, Which was Severely damaged after a battle with Klingon Bird of Prey," I said.
"That's enough for me," Riley said typing it in and the door opened. "How,"
"Star Trek is one of my Favourite Science fictions," I said. "As is Martha's. But she hasn't watched the Movies yet,"
Then We went to the Door 24.
"What is this one?" I said.
Everybody listen to me something has infected Korwin, We think. He killed Abi Lerner, None of you must go anywhere near him, is that clear," She said.
"The Captain really is scared," Riley said.
"What's her name," I said.
"Kath," Riley said.
We have been getting through to area 17, Going to door 16.
"Dad, we're through to area 17," I said.
"Keep going, You've got to get the Area one and reboot those engines," Dad said.
"Don't worry, That's what I plan on doing," I said.
As Martha connected up to the door.
"Heatshield falling at 20%," Computer said.
"Come on, Everything on this ship is so cheap," Riley said then there was a clang. "Who's there,"
The I pulled out the Phaser on Stun.
Ah Ashton what are you doing?" Riley said.
"Burn with me," Ashton said.
"Well, if you wanna help," Riley said.
"Burn with me, Burn with me," Ashton said.
"Move come on," Martha said opened a door.
Then I tried to shoot him. But he didn't go down. As We got into the area and the door closed.
"What was that?" Riley said.
"Phaser, It was on stun and it didn't put Ashton down. But I think that Ashton is gone," I said.
Then Riley opened the door and we got into it.
"What is happening on this ship," Riley said.
"Never mind that, Where are we?" Martha said.
"Airlock sealed, Jettison escape pod," Computer said.
"That doesn't mean us, Doctor," Martha said.
I got over the the panel.
"Dad, We're stuck in an escape pod off the Area 17 airlock, It's Ashton, Korwin must of get to him and infected with what ever this is, His trying to jettison us, We need help here," I said.
"Tell me you can stop it," Martha said.
"Riley," I said.
"Hold on, Got it," Riley said.
"Jettison held," Computer said.
"Thank you," Riley said.
Then.
"Jettison reactivated," Computer said.
"Come on," Riley said.
"Do you know any code sequence," I said.
"Sierpinski sequence, This'll get him," Riley said.
"Jettison Held," Computer said. "Escaped pod stabilised,"
"Nice," I said.
"Thanks," Riley said. "Oh no, He is trying to override it,"
"Can you keep on top of him," I said.
"Yes," Riley said. "What what he stop for,"
"Jettison reactivated," Computer said.
"He's crashed the circuit, I can't stop it, I can't stop it," Riley said.
"Airlock sealed," Computer said.
"Everything locked," Martha said.
"Is that deadlock sealed too," I said.
"Yes," Riley said.
"Airlock decompression completed," Computer said. "Jettisoning pod,"
"Can we use that com," I said.
"No, It disconnected the same time the pod is jettisoned," Riley said.
"Martha, there was something was I going to save till after this," I said.
"What," Martha said.
"I'm leaving," I said.
"What," Martha said.
"Back home," I said.
"What are you going to do," Martha said.
"There is an old friend of Dad's I've been meaning to see but, I always wanted to see more, But this, just it's not the same anymore," I said.
"Is it because of me," Martha said.
"No, It's not," I said. "To be honest you been here is what kept me here,"
"Then What?" Martha said.
"Back in New York, Hooverville, Dad just," I said. "Back with what happened with the Daleks,"
"What," Martha said. "He,"
"He meant it, Martha, When he did that, I could see it," I said.
"What about me?" Martha said.
"No, You stay if you really want to, But if want to know what I think," I said.
"Of course I do," Martha said.
"Then Stay and keep an eye on him for me," I said.
"I will," Martha said. "For you,"
Then I kissed her.
"The wonderful world of space travel, Prettier it looks, the more likely it is to kill you," Riley said.
"He'll come for us," I said.
"It's too late," Riley said. "Our heat shields'll pack in any minute, then we go into freefall, We'll fall into the sun way before he has a chance to do anything,"
"You don't know the Doctor," Martha said.
"Then you're lucky, I've never found anyone worth believing in," Riley said.
"Seriously," I said.
"No Girlfriend, Boyfriend," Martha said.
"The job doesn't lend itself to stable relationships," "Riley said.
"Family then," I said.
"My Dad's Dead, I haven't seen my Mum in 6 years," Riley said. "She didn't want me to sign up for cargo tours, Things were said and since then, all silent, She wanted to hold on to me, I know that, God, she's so stubborn,"
"Yeah well that's families," Martha said.
"What about you?" Riley said.
"Oh, the works, Mum, Dad, Dad's girlfriend, Brother, Sister, There's no silence there," Martha said. "So much noise, God, They'll never know,"
"We get back remember," I said.
"Call them," Riley said.
"Don't, Dad will get us out, You know that," I said. "Trust me,"
"Always," Martha said Snuggled into me then kissed her head.
Then There was a pull.
"What," I said.
"Escape pod, Remagnetising," Computer said.
"We're being pulled back," Riley said.
"Told you, Go on Dad," I said.
Then We got docked on and the Airlock repressurisation.
Then I got out.
"Dad," I said. "Dad what's wrong?"
"Harry, Back up here," Dad said.
"What's happened?" Kath said.
"It's your fault, Captain McDonnell," Dad said.
"Riley, get down to area 10 and help Scannell with the doors, Go," Kath said.
"Dad, what happened?" I said.
"You mined that sun, Scooped its surface for cheap fuel, You should've scanned for life," Dad said.
"I don't understand," Kath said.
"Dad what are you saying," I said.
"That sun is alive A living organism They scooped out it heart, used it for fuel and now it's screaming," Dad said.
"What do you mean? How can a sun be alive, Why's he saying that?" Kath said.
"Because it's living in me," Dad said.
"Oh my god," Kath said.
"Dad, how do we get this out of you," I said.
"Humans, You grab whatever's nearest and bleed it dry, You should have scanned," Dad said.
"It takes too long, We'd be caught, Fusion scoops are illegal," Kath said.
"Dad what do we do to get rid of this," I said.
"Get to the Bridge and dump the fuel, Sun particles in the fuel, Get rid of them," Dad said. "Martha, You've gotta freeze me, Quickly,"
"What," Martha said.
"What for?" I said.
"Stasis chamber, You've got to take me to below Minus 200 freeze it out of me," Dad said.
"It'll use me to kill you if you don't, Harry go," Dad said.
Then I ran for the bridge.
"Impact in 7.30," Computer said.
As I was running to the bridge.
By the time I catched up, They were one door from the Bridge.
"How's it going?" I said.
"Almost there," Riley said.
"Impact in 4.47," Computer said. "Impact in 4.08," Then They only got the question. "Impact in 3.43,"
"Got it," Riley said.
"Good, Vent engines and dump the fuel," I said.
"What," Scannell said.
"The Sun particles in the fuel, Do it now," I said.
"Riley, Scannell, I'm sorry," Kath said.
"McDonnell," Scannell said.
"Exterior airlock open," Computer said.
"Hurry dump and vent now," I said.
"Impact in 2.17," Computer said. "Primary Engines critical,"
Then there was a big jolt.
"Come on Dad hold on," I said.
"Fuel dump in progress, Fuel dump in progress," Computer said.
"It worked, The auxiliaries are firing," Scannell said.
"Impact averted, impact averted," Computer said.
"We're clear," Riley said. "We have just enough reserves,"
"Dad Martha," I said Running back where I found Martha on 27. "Martha, Come on,"
"I'm okay, We're alive," Martha said.
"Yes, It worked. Where's Dad," I said.
"Back there," Martha said.
Then I started running back towards him.
Where He was up and he was fine.
"Dad you alright," I said.
"Fine," Dad said.
Then We managed to get back to the Tardis.
"This is never your ship," Scannell said.
"Compact eh and another good word robust, barely a scorch mark on her," Dad said.
"We can't just leave you drifting with no fuel," Martha said.
"We've sent out an official Mayday, The authorities'll pick us up soon enough," Riley said.
"Though how we explain what happened?" Scannell said.
"Just tell them that sun needs care and protection just like any other living thing," Dad said.
Then We got in and took off But I changed to Coordinates for Next to my Tardis, Then we landed. After I told Dad what was happening.
"I can find you anywhere remember, My Tardis can track yours," I said.
"Just take care of yourself," Dad said.
"I will, Look after Martha," I said.
Then I moved over to Martha.
"See you around," I said.
"You better," Martha said. "I love you,"
"Love you too," I said kissing her. Then I left and Then moved over to watch Dad and Martha take off in his Tardis.
Then I got into mine, Then I started searching for Sarah Jane, Where I found her place in 13 Bannerman road.
Then I set the Coordinates and then head off.
