Chapter 29: Electric and Power
Boltera and Bolver are now at the Vermillion City, they are now at the gym where they are going to find Lt. Surge, who is the captain of the Electric Type. Once they enter the place, they see how the gym is surrounded by electricity, and Lt. Surge is standing in the middle of the battlefield as he is looking at them.
"If it isn't the Johto Elite 4 member, I remember your name is Boltera? What are you doing here?" Lt. Surge asks.
"It is good to see you again, Lieutenant." Boltera says, "I am the leader of the Team Volt, and I am here as a messenger from Ash Ketchum about the 25th-anniversary festival."
Lt. Surge is surprised, but then he gives out a laugh, "Well you are interesting. I never thought that a young girl like you would do something like hacking to make bad people suffer."
Bolver says, "You may think like it, but she is a good hacker. Not to mention, she is also the daughter of Diantha Carnet Ketchum."
"And who are you? Lad?" Lt. Surge asks the boy, and he says, "I am Bolver, I am the Vice Commander of the Team Volt."
"So both of you are representatives of Team Volt." Lt. Surge comments, "I would want to know your story. How did you become this Team Volt?"
Boltera says, "Let's start with my story: When I was a child, I was actually a famous child actress that even my mother is proud of, being a celebrity was a nightmare, as people are using online hacking skills and cheating to create my fake scandals and some people are treating me as a humiliation to be laughed off."
"You were a child actress? Let me guess, your former name is Elline, right?" Lt. Surge asks, and Boltera is surprised and she asks, "How did you know about my former name?"
Lt. Surge says, "I really liked the movies because they are related to Electric Type, which is also my specialty. Though I was a little sad that I would never see her on the television."
"I am glad to hear that." Boltera says, "I had nothing left because of this, though it is lucky that I have a nice mother who still loves me, she knows my situation and she changed my name into Boltera. I was offered to find something else to do in the Johto Region, and that's when I decided to try working in some companies for money...but all I found is how the companies are cheating with the customers, so I have been repeatedly changed my jobs..."
"But in the end, she didn't find any jobs because of how the companies don't like people like her ruining their chances of earning a lot of money. That's when Ash and Delia decide to offer her a place in the Team Volt so that Elline can use her powers of hacking to ruin those dishonest companies." Bolver says. "As for me, I was just a homeless boy who often got bullied by the streets, I needed to survive in the world, so I have resort to stealing and begging like I am some sort of beggar. Ash and Elline are the ones who find me when I was in a poor state, they offer me home in Team Volt."
"I see." Lt. Surge says, "Sounds like you two have hard lives in this world, you have earned my respect as I also had suffered a lot when I was still a soldier."
"Thank you." Elline says. "So I want to talk about the other leaders who specialize in Electric. Do you know some of them?"
Lt. Surge says, "I did know good old Wattson. That cheerfully electrifying man who has been changing Mauville City into a giant building, can't say I dislike his guts, but that is quite amazing."
"And there is Clemont and Sophocles, both of them like to invent and they are friends with Ash. Considering they travel together in Kalos and Sophocles. And finally, Bolt is the leader in the Generact City, a place in Galar. He is a mute, but he is a famous Guitar player as well."
"A mute in our team, now that is something else." Lt. Surge says, "So what are we going to do at this festival?"
Boltera says, "That will be easy, we are going to set up some stands that are related to broadcasts and movies, not to mention we are also going to make sure that the electric power won't run out in the festival."
"That's all?" Lt. Surge asks, and Bolver and Boltera decide to talk some more about the plan.
Ash, Lillie, and Alice are now on the plane to the Kalos Region, they hear a call from their mother and he is really furious. Alice asks, "Ash? Is there something wrong?"
"Did you remember how my mother told me that she saw how Misty and those other four are using bombs in the Cerulean City? The good news is that the Cerulean City is safe and the bombs are dismantled successfully."
"Then why are you angry about it?" Lillie asks, and Ash says, "But those five aren't just going to give up as they set up an illegal house close to ours with the woods that are protected, not only that, they also ruined the river nearby."
"But you could have Team Aqua and Team Wither to fix things up, right?" Alice asks, "I mean, they could have returned the stuff to normal."
"Yeah." Ash says, "And mother told me that she arrested them when they were trying to take over my mansion. Everything sounds fine up to now."
"Up to now? What do you mean by that?" Lillie asks in confusion.
"What I mean...is that they escaped from jail." Ash says in anger, causing the two of them to get surprised.
"How did they get out of the jail? I mean...I thought that the police is serious about them..." Alice gasps.
"Apparently, there are some haters of Team Rainbow Rocket who are allying, and they probably have bailed them out so that they can plot a revenge on me." Ash says. "They have been throwing mud at us, and no doubt that they are going to do it again to make people think that we are evil groups allying to ruin people on the world."
"That sounds really bad." Lillie says as she looks into the screen, and they see how some of the people are starting to give out fake articles about the Team Rainbow Rocket. She notices that some of the pictures are actually photomontage, and they can't believe how many comments and how many badmouthing are there.
"What is this outrageous stuff? I mean...what did they mean by Team Flare trying to bomb the Cerulean City, and there are even Glinda's words in it." Lillie says.
"That is a lie." Ash says, "My mother contacted Glinda and she told us that she never said those words."
Alice is looking at the news and she says, "There is another one, it says that how Team Rocket has forced Mr. Goodshow to retire and take over the PLA, and how we brainwashed the Gym Leaders to have them do our work...what is the meaning of this?"
Ash says, "Which company is the one that wrote all those fake reports?"
Lillie says, "It is the company known as Rotten News. What did we ever do to that company? I don't think we have done anything wrong to this company..."
Ash says, "I will need to have Mother to look about this. I just hope it won't affect us from going to find Aunt Diantha..."
In the Kanto Region, Delia, Serena and Dawn are looking at the news, and they can't believe how the company known as Rotten News is spreading lies about Team Rainbow Rocket. Serena says, "That company again..."
Delia asks, "Do you know about this news company?"
"I know, the owner of the company is a person named Calem Xavier, he had been trying to ask me out, but I refused, ever since I did that to Ash, I didn't want to have a relationship with anyone else...there is one time that he spread lies about how I was trying to kill him when he is sleeping and he also faked a mark on his cheeks, I remember it is thanks to Team Volt that they exposed the fake video and Calem was arrested."
"How were they still going on and didn't those people think that they were just spreading lies?" Dawn asks.
Delia says, "I assume that they might have escaped prison." Delia shows a piece of news about how a lot of criminals were escaped, including Brock, Misty, and the others. Chances are they want to do their revenge on Team Rainbow Rocket for how we ruined our lives and how we stopped them from getting what they wanted."
"We can't let them ruin Team Rainbow Rocket, or else the 25th Anniversary Festival is all for nothing..." Serena says, "But how are we going to stop them?"
Delia thinks for a while. She decides to look into the news, "People like to hear scandals and gossip about the famous people. They treat celebrities as entertainment, which is why the company can successfully change people's sides to their own. So what we must do, is that we need to stop this company as fast as possible."
"And how are we going to stop them?" Dawn asks.
Serena says, "Wait, Clemont and Sophocles are now on our side, right? What if we show the footage of the pictures and ask them to find the proves of being photomontage, that way we can have Team Volt expose them again, and this time the company will be gone for good."
"That is not a bad idea, but they won't be giving up from trying to declare a war on us again." Delia says, "What we need to know, is that how many people are inside that company and how are we going to deal with them."
"You're right about that. Knowing our enemy is the best way to combat them." Dawn says. Just then, they hear a door knock as Delia opens the door, only to find Boltera and Bolver standing there.
"Boltera, Bolver, it is good to see you. How are you?" Delia asks.
"We just finished with the meeting with Lt. Surge and then we heard about the news from the company Rotten News, I thought that we had got rid of them for good, how were they still back?"
"They have escaped prison, and without the evidence, there is no way the police will do anything to the company." Delia says, "Which is why we would need some help."
"So do you have any ideas?" Bolver asks.
"We will need help from your Electric Type Group and Team Volt." Serena says as she starts to tell them about the plan. After hearing the plan, Boltera asks, "Are you sure you want to do this? What are the odds that it will succeed?"
"If I learned from Ash about something, that is never given up until it is over." Serena says.
Boltera says, "You're right, we will show them how they were messed up with us about everything. They are not going to think they can escape twice."
Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, the traitors have escaped prison and some evil people also escape as well. They are now forming a company to try to ruin Ash and the Team Rainbow Rocket, who are actually the members of the company, and what bad blood did they have with Ash and the others?
