Intro: Natsu and Lucy have their magic switched around due to a curse that was put on them. The curse only lasts for a day, but will these two survive with the unfamiliarity in their magic?

Lucy smirked beside Natsu as they stared down at the dark mage they had defeated. The wizard tried to do a spell, but nothing seemed to have happened, so while Natsu checked on Happy who had been flung, Loke finished off the wizard. Lucy looked down at all the mud on her and her clothes before looking back at Natsu. "Let's get back to the Inn so we can go home today." It's only about noon, so if they get all their things together and ready by 2 oclock, then everything should be fine and they should be able to head back home after 4 days. What a relief it would be. Natsu gave her a nod and they dropped the dark mage off with the council stationed in the area before heading back to the Inn. After about an hour and 20 minutes, they were both clean and packed, and ready to go.
They were walking towards the train station before Natsu put a hand in front of Lucy to stop her. Looking up at her partner, she gave a look as if to ask, "What now?" Natsu simply gave her a grin before exclaiming, "Let's get something to eat before we head to the station!" Lucy sighed but agreed, since she could also feel the hunger in her stomach. As long as they ate quickly they could arrive in time. "Alright, but we have to hurry! I want to get home tonight." Natsu nodded before running off. Lucy gave a soft smile before following him.
They arrived back at Fairy Tail at around 6:30, so they decided to drop off their things at their homes before heading over to Fairy Tail. They met up at Lucy's house, (or rather Natsu showed up after he put his things away at his home), and started their walk towards the guild. The entire time Natsu kept bugging her about how he would beat up Gray once they arrived. Lucy rolled her eyes but didn't bother interrupting him or even trying to postpone the fight that was inevitable. Once they got to the guild, Natsu kicked open the doors screaming, "We're back!" After many cheerful hellos, Lucy went to the bar and sat down to grab her a drink.
Natsu grinned mischievously as he spotted his target sitting at a table, unknowingly being stalked by a blue haired rain woman. He went up to Gray and punched him in the shoulder, causing the man to fall over. Gray looked shocked before putting on a glare and standing up. "You want to go yo pyro?" Natsu gave a smirk before getting in position. Gray started to form an ice attack in his hands. When Gray launched his attack at Natsu, Natsu let out a grin before setting his fist on fire. Except, he didn't. Getting the full force of Gray's attack, Natsu was pushed back a little before falling.
Gray's eyes widened before going back into a natural look while going over to Natsu. "Pretending to be hurt won't work this time, we're not little kids anymore Natsu." Natsu once when they were little had pretended to get hurt, and when Gray walked over, he punched Gray so hard it had broken his nose. Gray got to Natsu and gaped as he saw a few scratches on Natsu's arm from where he tried to block the attack, it wasn't much damage, but usually him and Natsu are fine after their fights. "You wished Gray." Natsu said before carefully getting up. Gray narrowed his eyes, looking for any sign that Natsu was fixing to attack him. However, all Natsu did was push him away some. "Let's try this again. I wasn't ready." Gray gave a simple nod before getting in position again. Once again, both tried their attacks, and again Natsu was sent backwards, with no fire coming from his hands.
By now everyone was watching confused. Natsu always fought Gray, no matter what, because he wanted to show that he was indeed stronger. So nobody could figure out why he wasn't even trying to fight back. Lucy finally snapped out of her daze and walked over to Natsu, "Need some help?" Natsu grumbled but nodded his head slightly. Lucy gave a smile before grabbing Virgo's key and holding it out in position, "Open, Gate of the Maiden, Virgo!" Lucy shouted. Nothing happened though. No light, no magic energy draining, and no spirit. Lucy looked confused before trying again and getting the same result. It was strange, her spirits always came, and she knew nothing could be wrong in the spirit world since she was just with them earlier during the mission. Suddenly she was brought back into the real world when she felt a sneeze coming. As she sneezed, fire came out and she stared oddly at it, along with everyone else. Shocked, frightened, and confused, Lucy let out a scream.
(A/N: Hello everyone! I'm making 2 parts for this story, mostly because I haven't updated in a while, because of school and bad storms. So in order for me to still stay somewhat in the community, I'll be splitting this story in 2 parts, also because it's sorta long. So expect the second part of this to be the next chapter! After that I'll be going onto a new request! Make sure to leave some requests in the reviews! Also leave critique. Thank you guys so much!)
