Matt (Guest): Who said that every universe had someone join? And who said that villains had to come from the new universes.

Gamelover41592: Honestly so am I

Omni Spectator (Guest): Personally, I think he didn't do it in game because he was too worried about looking cool and leaving before Pit could stop him. Also, Hades is a dick for the sake of being a dick.

Okay, so I know that I totally skipped a chapter (namely, the level where you go inside of Hades) but because it was easily my least favorite in the game (and FUCK that boss fight!) and easily recappable, I'm skipping over to an actually FUN chapter. Also, The Owl House is slowly moving up my list of favorite shows. Anyways, let's go!

"It's go time!" Zoey cheered as she jumped out the door, followed by her father. Yesterday, once everyone had fully recuperated, Pit had strapped on the Three Sacred Treasures and headed after Hades for what seemed like an epic final battle!

And then Hades destroyed the Three Sacred Treasures.

And then he ate Pit.

So now they were in need of a new weapon to kill him.

"Alright, so what's the plan here?" Mike asked as he flew over to them. Viridi had mentioned being busy prepping new troops, so she wasn't able to watch, but also told Mike she was sure he would crush anything that came his way.

"Viridi and I have decided to send you three to visit Dyntos," Palutena explained.

"Cool! I can't wait to meet the god of snacks!" Pit cheered.

"Actually, he's the god of the FORGE," Palutena corrected him. "He made the Three Sacred Treasures. He created Mike and Zoey's wings. He creates ALL weapons, even that sad little one you're using now,"

"Hey, they're not little!" Mike protested.

"Yeah, they're awesome!" Pit chimed in.

"Thanks to Hades, the Three Sacred Treasures are out of commission. But I'm hoping Dyntos will create a new weapon for you," Palutena explained.

"A godslaying one, right?" Zoey knew what the answer most likely was, but she just needed to make sure.

"Yes, but I should warn you—" Palutena began.

"Good thing he's on our side!" Pit cheerfully interrupted.

"Well...not yet," Palutena admitted.

"Hey, why are there so many different kinds of troops here?" Zoey asked. Underworld, Aurum, even the Forces of Nature. "Wait...the Chaos Kin isn't back, is it!?"

"Thankfully, no," Palutena quickly said. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"But then what…." Mike trailed off as he saw Dyntos's workshop come into view. It was huge!

"Wha ha ha ho ho!" A voice chuckled. It was Dyntos! "Why, hello there, Palutena. And hello to your little helper, your daughter and Viridi's son as well! Good to see those wings I made are still holding up."

"Hey Dyntos!" Pit greeted.

"That's Lord Dyntos to you, sonny!" Dyntos snapped, his voice still keeping it's playful tone.

"I apologize for his impertinence, sir. Ahem, so do you know why we're here?" Palutena quickly asked.

"Of course! You want to slay Hades to protect the celestial balance," Dyntos promptly replied. "It's that godslaying weapon you said you would want several chapters ago, right?"

"He is good," Zoey marveled. Mike just nodded, equally impressed.

"That's exactly right," Palutena replied.

"Oh, to be young, energetic...and have a head stuffed with wool! I jest, I jest. I like the cut of your jib! If you can make it all the way to me AND pass my three trials, I'll lend you a hand," Dyntos offered.

"I guess that's fair," Mike said. Nothing came free afterall.

"This place is fancy," Zoey gushed. Dyntos's workshop was orantly crafted, much like his other works.

"From the outside, you wouldn't think a hall this big could fit inside," Pit said once they flew inside.

"It IS a bit incongruous," Palutena admitted.

"How did these enemies get in here?" Zoey wondered aloud. If the Chaos Kin wasn't making them, who was?

"I made them," Dyntos admitted. "They might be forgeries, but they're superior to the originals. And they're just the tip of the iceberg! If you don't have the gumption to handle them, you've got no shot at Hades,"

"So if we clear your tests, you'll make us a new weapon?" Mike asked.

"Yessiree. That's a promise," Dyntos promised. "And I'll even make it so that you can all use it."

"Awesome!" Pit cheered, looking forward to taking down Hades with his daughter...and Mike. "You know, the Three Sacred Treasures weren't exactly durable. Can you please make sure that this new weapon won't just fall apart?"

"Palutena, you'd be wise to put a muzzle on your chicken," Dyntos said, no longer sounding amused.

"Dad!" Zoey snapped. "Don't ruin this for us!"

"I apologize for him. Again," Palutena chimed in quickly.

"I...I'm sorry too. I didn't mean to be rude," Pit apologized.

"That's all right," Dyntos assured him, before giving a hidden smirk. "Now I don't feel bad about what's gonna happen to you."

"Way to go, Pit!" Mike snapped as they reached the end of the hall. They were greeted by a beautiful, endless night sky...and giant living versions of their weapons. "Yeah, this is gonna suck."

"Watch out guys!" Palutena warned. Everyone quickly had to start dodging.

"Oh ho ho ho ho! Now THIS is a hootenanny!" Dyntos laughed as his creations attacked Pit, Zoey and Mike.

"Glad SOMEONE'S enjoying this!" Mike snapped. Once they managed to defeat them, they arrived at a large platform surrounded by large crystal-like pillars. Dyntos sat on a throne overlooking the platform.

"Welcome, whippersnappers! Come right this way," Dyntos greeted as his guests flew towards him.

"Lord Dyntos!" Pit called up to him on landing.

"If you want a new weapon, you must prove your mettle by passing three trials." Dyntos reminded them. "First things first. Go ahead and stand in the center of the room." Doing as they were told, the three heroes were lifted into another area by an elevator. There were several staircases.

"So now what?" Zoey asked.

"Head up those stairs. I'm sure Dyntos will explain your next step," Palutena said. Without any other options, they decided to go.

"Your first trial consists of three challenges. You must overcome all three," As if on cue, Dyntos began to explain things.

"You guys wanna split the stairs?" Zoey asked. "Each one of us takes on challenges?"

"Can we do that?" Pit wondered.

"Since I want to see how well you all fight together, as well as alone, I'll allow it," Dyntos chimed in. Zoey headed left, Mike went right, while Pit headed straight.

With Zoey

"This thing again?" Standing in front of her was the Phoenix. It quickly went on the attack, forcing Zoey to dodge.

"Heh heh heh heh heh!" Dyntos chuckled. "It was just tragic seeing the majestic immortal bird felled by such a little angel,"

"That 'majestic immortal bird' tried to roast me!" Zoey protested.

"If it makes you feel any better, this Phoenix is one of Lord Dyntos's creations," Palutena said.

"That was supposed to be a surprise, you big party pooper!" Dyntos whined. Zoey could picture him pouting and crossing his arms.

"You've done a lovely job with it, Lord Dyntos," Palutena complimented, sounding almost earnest.

"Well, thank you. I'm as puffed up as a pastry over the results. It may be my finest work yet!" Dyntos boasted.

"Yes, it's great," Zoey snarked as she dodged out of the way of an attack, blasting away at the Phoenix all the while.

"I'm choosing to hear only your words and not your tone, missy," Dyntos declared. Zoey just rolled her eyes and landed the final blow she needed to win the fight.

"Your bird is cooked!" She cried as the Phoenix fell yet again.

"Sorry you had to go through that a second time," Palutena apologized as Zoey was teleported away.

With Mike

"Looks like I'm not getting out of this one, am I?" Mike asked, even though he already knew the answer. In his arena, Cragalanche was waiting.

"I noticed that you never finished your little fight with him, so I thought it would be a fitting test," Dyntos explained.

"How hard can this be?" Mike wondered. He used to spar with Cragalanche and if Dyntos had kept it, he knew Cragalanche's weak spot.

"Built just like the original! Complete with busted keister," Dyntos announced, as if he knew exactly what Mike was thinking.

"Your work is highly impressive," Mike complimented before attacking. "I'm impressed!"

"If you wanted to, you could build the strongest army the world has ever seen!" Palutena realized. Mike held his breath as he waited for the answer.

"Not interested," Dyntos said bluntly, causing Mike to breathe a sigh of relief. "Though creating enemies is terribly fun. I use your experiences as the blueprints,"

"Just how powerful are you!?" Mike exclaimed.

"Lord Dyntos is powerful beyond imagination, Mike," Palutena explained.

"Does that mean he's even more powerful than Hades?!" Mike asked as he landed another attack.

"..."

"I hear that, buddy," Mike said to the copy of his silent friend. "That's a scary thought." He then landed the final blow, causing the clone to explode. "Sorry buddy."

"Good work there, sonny," Dyntos commended.

With Pit

"The Kraken!" Palutena exclaimed, beating Pit to the punch.

"I'm back on the pirate ship?" Pit wondered.

"A pretty faithful reproduction, wouldn't you say?" Dyntos asked, clearly looking for a compliment.

"There's stuff here that I didn't notice before. This has to be another one of Lord Dyntos's creations, right?" Pit asked as he dodged out of a way of a laser blast.

"It doesn't matter if it is or isn't. That Kraken is real!" Palutena warned.

"Why don't you get a little closer to him and verify that hypothesis, sonny? I'm sure the Kraken would like nothing more than to turn you into chum salad," Dyntos taunted.

"That won't be happening. I beat a Kraken once, and I can do it again!" Pit declared. As if on cue, he landed the finishing blow. "That's right, you tentafool!"

"Tentafool?" Palutena questioned. "Uh, nice one, Pit."

"Never say that again, dad," Zoey snarked as she and Mike walked over.

"But that's all three bosses down!" Mike declared.

"Can we have our new weapon now?" Pit immediately asked.

"Not so fast. Do you remember the name of this chapter?" Dyntos asked.

"...So that's a no," Mike snarked.

"Uh... Wasn't it "The One Trial" or something?" Pit guessed. Zoey was seriously debating pointing out that they had done three tasks already.

"You're a couple trials short there, sonny!" Dyntos laughed as he teleported them into Dark Lord Gaol's castle. She was waiting for them with Magnus.

"Hey there," Magnus greeted before slinging his sword/club over his shoulder, getting ready for a fight.

"Magnus! And...Dark Lord Gaol?" Pit questioned.

"Wait, why are you both even here?" Zoey asked.

"What can I say? The old god asked me to fight you, so here I am," Magnus offhandedly said.

"Think you'll be able to take the both of us?" Gaol asked.

"We can try!" Pit declared. Mike just kept quiet. He didn't really know what the deal with Gaol was, so he didn't want to say anything that made him look stupid. Speaking of the fight, Gaol's faster long ranged spells meshed perfectly with Magnus's slow yet powerful attacks.

"Wait, so are you the real Mangus?" Zoey asked.

"The one and only," Magnus replied in a bored tone.

"I was sure you were another of Lord Dyntos's creations," Pit admitted, thankful for his daughter asking that question.

"That is the most likely explanation," Palutena chimed in.

"It's also the most incorrect," Dyntos chimed in. "I just invited these two here to help test you,"

"In that case, I have some questions for you, Magnus! Why were you so quick to join up with me when we first met? And how come you're stronger than any other human I've ever seen? AND—"

"What is this, twenty questions?" Magnus snarked.

"Maybe," Pit admitted.

"Well, I don't have any answers for you. I'm only here to TEST you," Magnus pointed out.

"Angel! It's the lord of the Underworld you oppose, yes?" Gaol asked before Pit could speak up again.

"Of course it is!" Pit declared.

"Then concentrate on proving yourself, not what we're saying. Hold your questions for after you save the world," Gaol told him.

"Dad, she's right," Zoey pointed out. "We need you at your A game!"

"Right!" Pit replied as he shook his head and returned to the fight. With his head now fully back in the game, they were able to defeat Gaol and Magnus.

"And that's that!" Mike declared.

"Not bad, angel face!" Magnus grunted as he and Gaol were teleported away. Palutena was suddenly warped in.

"Really?!" Mike exclaimed as he threw his hands up. "This is a low blow!"

"Hey, look at it this way! At least this one is a clone!" Zoey pointed out, desperately trying to keep from going into a panic attack.

"Zoey's right!" Pit declared. "Right, Lady Palutena? Uh... Lady Palutena?"

"Time to die, worms!" Palutena snapped.

"Nope! That is not the real one!" Zoey yelled out as she tried to convince herself that it wasn't.

"Do we really have to fight her?" Pit asked.

"It won't be a fight. It'll be a massacre!" Palutena declared, only to be hit by a charged shot from Mike, revealing her face to be purple and hideous.

"GAH!" Zoey exclaimed. While she was grateful that she wasn't fighting her mother, she was still caught off guard.

"You're finished!" She snapped at them.

"What what WHAT?! Well, I'm glad I decided to attack!" Pit said with a sigh of relief. Now guilt free, everyone was quick to wail away at the fake.

"You're finished faker!" Mike declared.

"At least I'm beautiful!" The fake Palutena snapped as she faded away.

Pit, Mike and Zoey found themselves back on the platform in front of Dyntos.

"Good job there, kiddos!" Dyntos commended.

"There's just one trial left!" Pit realized, causing Mike to breathe a sigh of relief.

"Yes, yes, I'm quite aware of that. Here it is. The Great Sacred Treasure," Dyntos said as he revealed their new weapon, a heavenly mech suit with three cockpits. Everyone was confused. Didn't they have one more trial left?

"You're just giving it to us? We don't have to do something horrible first?" Pit asked. Something was off.

"That depends on your definition of 'horrible.'" Dyntos said as he snapped his fingers. The Great Sacred Treasure got into a battle pose.

"So to earn this thing, we gotta fight it!" Mike realized as he went into a battle pose of his own.

"Dang! Now this is a trial!" Pit said, sounding impressed as he dodged out of the way. He did hope that the battle didn't show everything that his soon to be new toy could do. He wanted some surprises.

"Look alive out there, kids!" Dyntos called out. "This is a far cry from the Three Sacred Treasures of old, eh? This beauty is made of pure orichalcum!"

"Oh, wow! ...I don't know what that is," Pit admitted.

"We don't either, but let's just assume it's something really strong and powerful," Mike snarked.

"Ungh…"

"Mom!" Zoey cried. "What the heck happened to you?"

"I don't know what happened. I must have fallen asleep," Palutena admitted.

"What?! Since when do you nap on the job?" Pit exclaimed. If there was one thing Palutena always was, it was diligent.

"You can thank Lord Dyntos for that little trick," Palutena huffed.

"Why, you're very welcome, missy! You seem refreshed!" Dyntos said, deliberately choosing to ignore her tone.

"Just how powerful ARE you?!" Mike exclaimed.

"There's no way this is a fair fight!" Pit cried.

"Guys, we can do this!" Zoey snapped at them, reminding both boys that they had to stay upbeat about their one chance to defeat Hades. The Great Sacred Treasure moved to one side of the platform and began charging up what looked like would be a powerful blast.

"Watch out guys!" Palutena warned. Needless to say, the laser blast that ended up taking out half the platform was one attack that everyone was more then eager to dodge.

"That was too close!" Mike exclaimed.

"I told you this thing was powerful!" Dyntos said with a laugh.

"But, Lord Dyntos, aren't you worried about what might happen if this fell into the wrong hands?" Palutena asked.

"Of course I am!" Dyntos practically snapped. "That's why I'm testing these young warriors. I need to know if they have the skills and heart to operate the Great Sacred Treasure,"

"We won't let you down," Zoey proudly declared. As if on cue, they landed the final blow on the machine.

"YES!" They all cheered.

"And to the victors go the spoils!" Pit added in.

"Nicely done!" Dyntos commended. The three heroes wasted no time hopping right into the mech and zipping around.

"THIS IS AWESOME!" Mike cheered.

"Oh, Lord Dyntos?" Palutena began.

"Yep, that's my name," He replied.

"That was quite a few enemies for 'Three Trials,' wouldn't you agree?" She asked with a bit of a smug smile.

"I might have thrown in a few freebies," Dyntos admitted.

"DAD, WATCH OUT FOR THE-" The Great Sacred Treasure crashed into the platform. "...platform…"

"Oh, dear," Palutena and Dyntos said as the former whisked the Great Sacred Treasure, and it's three pilots, back to Skyworld.

Next time, this war comes to an end. See you then.
