Sonic found himself back in the Temple of Time. "I hope Sheik is okay," he said. He ran off, looking for Sheik but found a little robot with a crown instead. Epona was with him. "Oh, my," said the little robot when he saw him. "Hi. You must be Sonic. Zelda told me a lot about you. It's so nice to finally meet you."

"Are you WALL-E?" asked Sonic. "Yes, I am," replied WALL-E. "I'm the king of Hyrule. Zelda told me she had a dream about you. I didn't believe her when she said it was a prophecy. But now, I understand who you truly are. You have awakened as the Hero of Time, haven't you?"

"Yes, I did, WALL-E," said Sonic. "It's nice to meet you too."

"I heard a lot about your quest," said WALL-E. "You collected three spiritual stones and Zelda gave you the ocarina of time. Now I understand why she did. I hope you can keep it away from Ganondorf."

"I won't let Ganondorf hurt Zelda, your majesty. Don't worry," said Sonic. "I know you won't," said WALL-E. "By the way, I was watching Epona for you. She came to the castle and stayed with me for a while. You can take her with you now."

"Thanks, WALL-E," said Sonic. "You're welcome," said WALL-E. "If I'm not mistaken, you have five sages ready to fight Ganondorf with you. You have one more sage to find."

"Do you know where the sage is or who it is?" asked Sonic. "No, but I think Sheik will," said WALL-E. "But the last time I saw Sheik, she was attacked by a shadow and so was I. We both went to the hospital and I haven't seen her since," said Sonic. "Oh dear," said WALL-E. "I hope she's alright. She's the only one who can help you find Zelda." He thought for a minute. "Hmm. Sonic, where did you find the other five sages?"

"Well," said Sonic. "One was in a forest. One on a mountain. One in the water. One in a graveyard. But I don't know where else to look."

"Have you looked in the desert?" asked WALL-E. "The desert! Of course! Thanks, WALL-E," said Sonic as he mounted Epona. "I'll check the desert. Bye!"

"Goodbye," said WALL-E, waving to Sonic as he galloped away on Epona.

When Sonic reached the desert, he found a fortress guarded entirely by women. He gasped. "Stay down, Epona," he said and Epona tiptoed past the guards, but when they reached the gate, a guard stopped them. "Halt!" She shouted. "Hold it!" Cried Sonic, but the woman didn't listen. She grabbed Sonic and threw him in a jail cell. Luckily, his long shot helped to pull him up to the window and he could escape. He walked on top of the fortress where the guards wouldn't see him, then he saw the gate. "I'll never make that jump without Epona," he said. So he used his ocarina to play "Epona's Song" and she came running to him right away. After he mounted her, she backed up, then charged at the gap at full speed, then jumped. Sonic could see that she was not quite going to make the gate, so when she closed the gap, he stood up on her back and jumped over the gate. Once again, the woman guard caught Epona and took her away, so Sonic played "Epona's Song" to rescue her once more. Then, he mounted her and she took off.
