"You have to that. I'm going to be moody and get bigger as the months go by. I'm going to have two growing babies inside of changing me from the inside out. I'm nervous. How we're going to handle it all. The pregnancy. Angie. Our careers. It feels all consuming. What if it's too much.?" Brooke asked.
Lucas took ahold of her hand in his. "We've waited a long time for this life and family. We will manage everything. We're in this together. Every step of the way." He reassured her.
"Brooke can i have another waffle.?" Angie asked.
Brooke smiled up at the young girl. "Go right ahead. You don't need to ask. Have as much food and drink as you need. Lucas and I want you to feel safe and comfortable here because you are." She proclaimed.
Angie nodded her head in agreement and took two waffles off the plate. She poured syrup poured a handful of chocolate chips then started to eat.
"I'm heading straight towards the store. While you and Angie are going to the elementary school and then to the library for Children's story hour." Brooke said.
"I'm so excited for the story hour and meet other kids." Angie announced.
"You'll like school too. It's important you going and experiencing that." Lucas added in.

Sometime Later
Tree Hill Elementary School
"So you don't have access to any of Angela's school records.?" The principal asked.
"We weren't given access to them because they don't exist. She moved around alot in her life and from my understanding she didn't attend school." Lucas revealed.
"Alright then that means we'll have to test her and see what she knows and what she doesn't. Do we have permission to test for learning disabilities.?" The man asked.
"Of course. We want her to be able to learn and thrive to her full potencial." Lucas replied.

Angie clutched tightly to the book she had picked out at the bookstore with Lucas before coming to the school to register in classes.
She looked on both sides of the hallway. Before sitting back on the bench. She opened the book and started to read out loud.
"Where
The
Side
Walk
Ends." she uttered softly.
Running her hands over the black and white cover.
When Lucas re emerged from the principal's office he smiled up at Angie.
"You have a school schedule. A lock for you're locker and a bunch of school supplies we're going to get for you. But we have some time to do that. Ready for the Children's reading hour.?" Lucas questioned.
"Yep. Can i ask you a question.?" Angie asked.
"Anything. You can always talk to me or Brooke." Lucas replied.
A expression he couldn't place came across Angie's face. Her dark brown eyes locked on his.
"My momma and daddy aren't coming are they.? They don't love me anymore. That's why they left me with that social worker. The only reason i'm living with you and you're wife is out of pity or obligation. Neither of you really want me there."
"Especially since you're going to be having you're own babies."
"I'm an orphan. Just like Annie from the books." Angie proclaimed.
The expression on Lucas's face softened. "You're parents did what they thought would give you a good life. Brooke and I took custody of you because we have the room and love to give. I need you to hear me and try to understand that." Lucas replied.
"You're lying to me! My momma and daddy lied to me! If they loved me they wouldn't of left me alone. Watch you're going to send me away. Once those babies are born. That's the real family you and her wanted!" Angie yelled.
"That isn't true. We always loved you." Lucas said.
