Sessions

Chapter 30th

"I don't understand what you're talking about Marcie?" Doc asks with the shake of her head.

"Can I explain to you tomorrow morning? I really need to talk with you about my issues?" Marcie explained wanting to have a session in the morning.

"Okay. What time and where would you like to talk Marcie?" she needed to keep this short right now with needing to get home and sleep after such a long day.

"How about eight o'clock in the morning at Gibbs house?" Marcie exclaimed with a yawn herself needing to unwind with laying down and with her back hurting slightly.

"I will be there Marcie. See you in the morning with bells on!" she joked even though she wasn't able to muster up a smile on her face.

They both walked inside the elevator to head downstairs to the lobby and the underground parking lot fo reach of their own vehicles.

Marcie needed to be careful when it came to her movements. Not knowing what to expect with anyone working for the local Cartel.

Heading out with taking the road down to the circle in order to take the highway back to Alexandria. Even though Doctor Confalone had gone the opposite way towards her own house while her husband was away in California for the conference for the Pentagon.

When Marcie had arrived back at the house. She needed to walk Lucy with the neighbor leaving after a good report. Lucy wasn't in the mood to stay out long with the cold. And for which Marcie didn't blame her feeling cold herself. Moving inside taking off her leash. Marcie left more of the water and her snacks before heading upstairs to change into her blue-flowered nightgown and robe before getting into bed.

She had left a small glass of water over by the nightstand just in case she needs it with a dry throat. She was able to fall asleep quickly by turning down the lights in the room. Even though Lucy was downstairs hopefully asleep herself.

The next morning having gotten up early to make breakfast. She did have enough coffee made for the session along with cupcakes that she had brought the day before.

Since it was chilly in the living room after walking Lucy. She needed to start up the fireplace to just get the chill out of the living room while she and Doctor Confalone are talking.

Looking at the time. She was able to hear a vehicle pull up to the curve in front of the house. Taking a peek out the window. She had noticed it was the doctor parking with grabbing some type of brown briefcase she was able to see.

She went to open the door with Lucy by her side barking slightly before smelling her and going back inside to lay down on her bed near the kitchen.

"How are you this morning Doc?" Marcie needed to say with walking back into the house feeling the warmth of the fireplace.

"I am okay in spite of the fact it was a short evening. I will wake up while having coffee." She was able to remove her black coat to have Marcie hanging it up.

Sat had brought up the chair to be sitting in front of Marcie on the couch with moving the coffee table to the side for now. She had pulled out her yellow pad and pen to begin making notes. "Where would you like to start Marcie?" she had to ask with the first question.

"About last night before getting into the elevator. I wanted to say that I love my husband a great deal. I just don't wish to disappoint him when it comes to me and my own needs. He needs not worry too much about me while he's in the hospital. He has too much to live for with myself and the unborn child?" she had to say with emotion spilling out.

"Don't you think he knows this Marcie for when it comes to his feelings for you? he's been unhappy for many years. And this past year and prior was horrible for all of us with the Pandemic, Gibbs shooting McGee, the deaths of Breena, Emily, and losing Sloane to overseas, and then add getting suspended by Vance and SECNAV?"

"Yeah, I know. When I had first met him at the diner. I had a feeling he was lost and didn't know which direction he was going with his feelings and grief. Even though everyone kept telling him he needed to take time off to grief like his friend Fornell." Marcie had to say on the subject.

"Have you heard from Tobias at all?" Doctor Grace exclaimed with the question.

"He's been working on the case that had put Jethro into the hospital in the first place. Even since he had gone back to the F.B.I., he feels whole again needing to do something instead of dwelling on Emily's overdose death." Marcie commented with shifting in her seat on the couch and Lucy wanting to join her as well.

"How's Lucy been adjusting to living here with Gibbs?"

"Every now or then she will have nightmares with having been shot and left to die. But thanks to my husband for rescuing her, she is adjusting better along with eating and sleeping as well." Marcie will say.

"Now tell me what is really on you're mind Marcie?" she had to say to her patient.

"Look I am just worried for myself at times even since I had investigated the story on Gibbs first wife Shannon and Kelly his daughter. I seem to be scared all of the time Doc and I know that Jethro knows this trying to calm me down at times."

"You need to stop this stressing out Marcie. It's not good for the unborn child?" she stressed.

"I know that I just can't help it, Doctor Confalone." Marcie cried out with sipping her lukewarm coffee as with the doctor doing the same with a large gulp.
