Chapter:27 True Intentions

Lionheart is sitting in his office with his head in his hands. Suddenly the door opened for a man to enter the room.

The man is a tall middle-aged man with a slim build and slightly tanned skin. He has short black and gray hair as well as a thick mustache and eyebrows, and green eyes. He wears a grey overcoat with yellow linings, a yellow dress shirt, and a black necktie. His pants are the same color as his overcoat. His yellow-buttoned undercoat and fingerless gloves match his cordovan shoes, under which he wears yellow socks.

"Are we ready?" The man asked as Lionheart lifts his head to look at the man as he closes the door behind him and steps into the room. A brief exchange of looks is made as Lionheart turns his head away from the man who smirks in response. The two soon enter a secret hallway adjacent to the office. At the end of the curved hallway is a circular room containing a jellyfish like Grimm known as a Seer.

"After you," The man said as he pushes Lionheart closer to the Seer.

"Your Grace, are... you there?" Lionheart called out to the Grimm as red smoke-like substance contained in the head of the Seer shifts to form an image of the pale woman and Cinder at their location in the Land of Darkness.

"Hello, Leonardo. Do you have something to report?" The woman asked as she and Cinder are also looking through a Seer Grimm to communicate with Lionheart and the man.

"Of course, ma'am. I would not waste your time, if not," Lionheart said in a cowardly manner.

"I'm still just so fascinated by this creature. Cinder dear, are we coming through?" The man said as he tap the Seer. "Can you see us clearly? Well, as clearly as you can."

"Shut up," Cinder said in annoyance because of the arrogant man with the cowardly Headmaster.

"Oh goody, you've recovered," The man sarcastically much to the False Maiden's annoyance.

"Your report. What is it?" The pale woman demanded.

"I've... I've found the Spring Maiden," Lionheart said in hesitation.

"Is that so? Well done. Arthur, had I known how useful you'd be in expediting this process, I would've sent you long, long ago," The woman praised.

"As much as I'd love to take credit, ma'am, I can't say that either of us are to thank for this development. I guess you could say, a little birdie told us," The now named Arthur said.

"Explain," The woman said as Lionheart decided to explain it.

"You see, ma'am, Qrow Branwen arrived at Haven Academy earlier today. He believes Spring has taken residence with his sister's tribe."

"Is...the girl... with him? Along with those Pokemons?" Cinder asked.

"Yes, Miss Rose was in attendance... Along with those creatures," Arthur said as he was still debating of their existence.

"And you know of the tribe's location?" The woman asked.

"Yes ma'am! But you have to hurry! Qrow is already at odds with my--" He was cut off when the woman makes a face of annoyed concentration and in response one of the Seer Grimm's tentacles shoots out to wrap around Lionheart's throat and choke him.

"Leonardo, do you remember the first time we met? I remember. I remember your fear. But, since that day, you've been extraordinarily brave. I won't forget all that you've done for me. Do not forget everything that I can do to you," The woman said as the Seer Grimm slowly brings the point of another tentacle close to the face of Lionheart before drawing it back. Within the orb of the Seer Grimm, Salem makes a gesture, and the tentacle simultaneously releases him from the chokehold. Lionheart coughs and gasps for breath. "Cinder, you and your team will meet with Doctor Watts, and together, convince Raven Branwen that the survival of her people depends on her cooperation. Once you have Spring under control, escort her to the Relic and contact Hazel. The White Fang was promised the destruction of Haven, and they'll have it once we have what we need."

"Understood," Arthur said.

"you, Arthur. Tyrian's in need of a new tail," The woman corrected.

"What happened to his old one?" The scientists asked.

"Guess," Cinder said.

"The silver-eyed girl?" Arthur said in wonder while Cinder looks stern and grunts as acknowledgement. "It will be done."

"Good," The woman said as they ended the connection.

"Seems Qrow was right, Lionheart. The students aren't pushovers," Arthur commented.

In the Land of Darkness, Cinder is clearly unhappy.

"You're free to speak your mind," The woman said.

"I don't understand. Working with bandits? Keeping Ruby alive? What's the point? We're strong enough to take what we want by force!" Cinder said in anger.

"Never underestimate the usefulness of others. Take Leonardo; he was one of Ozpin's most trusted, and yet now..." The woman then chuckles. "You will have the power I promised you, when the time is right. But remember that it comes with a cost. If Ruby Rose has learned to harness her gift, then you must take care to protect yours. There's only so much I can do to aid you."

Cinder bows to Salem and goes to exit the room till the woman called out to her.

"And Cinder, before you go, inform Tyrian..." The woman's smile turned to a frown. "that I wish to have a word with him."

Cinder smiles, nods in acknowledgement of Salem's order and turns, leaving the room.A few seconds after she disappears from view, the loud noise of the door immediately transitions to the next scene.

Back in Mantle, Vic and Pietro are working on the prototype machinery for the Pokeballs as there are a box of Pokeball shells are in a corner of the room.

"And this goes here," Vic said as he set the wiring for the Pokeball. Good thing he got some old spare Pokeballs that he didn't use for 4 years.

"This is truly fascinating, your world's technology is truly amazing, but it doesn't have any use in this generation," Pietro said as he helped along with the machine.

"We still need to keep this a secret, we need to not let anyone know how to make them, so they don't have any supplies of these if they ever see any Pokemon," Vic said as he was still wary of unknown enemy trying to steal from them.

"What if they ever know?" Pietro asked.

"Then we better prepare ownership for them," Vic said as they continued working in silence till Pietro decided to break it.

"You know, Penny is a strong girl right?" Pietro asked.

"Yeah... Yeah she is," Vic said as he he stop working on the wiring.

"So why do you like her?"

"Pardon?" Vic said as he look at Pietro suspiciously.

"I ask why you like my daughter? There are other girls out there that you can choose so why Penny?" Pietro said as Vic thought about the question.

"Maybe its because I see a part of myself in her, the hope for something amazing will happen and a bright future, I think I just miss that feeling after I came here in Remnant," Vic then rest his arm on the table. "When I was still a kid, I really expect a bright future, but that freaking curse just ruined my life. I became wary, depressed, and paranoid during my journey. When the curse finally lifted, I didn't feel the same anymore, I felt more mature since I was 12, and I felt lonely in those days, After my time here in Remnant and finally see my sister, I still feel broken till I met Penny."

Pietro listens to his story and was quite saddened for Vic's past life as he could never know the teen's pain.

"I began to feel my former self again when I was around her. I always feel relaxed, happy, and calm around my surroundings. I feel that she is my lifeline, a memory that I want to have back. Then we got together; not gonna lie, it was quite hectic after the Fall, but I won't leave her alone. She is my lover and my only one," Vic then finished his explanation as Pietro smiled to him.

"That's the correct answer my boy, so don't ever change," Pietro said as Vic smiled and nods. "Well we better continue our work."

"Yeah, let's do this," Vic said as they continued working on the prototype Pokeballs.

With Weiss, as the cargo ship flies over Lake Matsu, Weiss was still somber over being unable to help the Mistralian cargo pilots, suddenly notices to her right a series of landmasses floating in the bright blue, partly cloudy sky, with what appears to be black crystals jutting out from the bottom of the rock formations. Puzzled, she then decides to head into the pilot's cabin. The doors open.

"Where are we?" Weiss asked the pilot.

"Nowhere good. Passing by some of Lake Matsu's floating islands. The gravity Dust that forms in these things is giving us a little turbulence. Nothing I can't handle, but the islands sometimes hide some nasty Grimm," The pilot said as Weiss walks towards the pilot. "I'm just betting on our friends in distress keeping them preoccupied."

Weiss then noticed something from the right and saw multiple heavily damaged airships heading towards them.

"Look out!" Weiss called out in fear as the airship comes barreling from their right, narrowly hitting their cargo ship and forcing the pilot to pull upward to avoid it. The doomed craft, bearing a white symbol for Mistral on its sail, proceeds to collide into one of the floating islands.

"You've got to be kidding me!" The pilot shoueted in shock as he then decides to switch back to the radio, listening in for nearby transmissions.

"By the gods, we've lost Percy! Help!"

Another Mistralian airship, pursued by a swarm of wasp-like Grimm, is suddenly hooked from multiple directions by their extendable stingers, which leaves them trapped and unable to move.

"We're hooked! We're hooked!" The Mistraltan pilot frantically called as the wood on the ship's exterior begins to crack, as the insects grappling on the ship pull very tightly. "Everyone, abandon ship!"

Capitalizing on their fear, one of the Grimm somersaults into the air and dive-bombs into the top of the ship, as the pilot and everyone on board perishes in the ensuing explosion. The rest of the Grimm following this turn their attention to and pursue Weiss' airship.

"Lancers, freaking Lancers! Alright buckle up-- Huh?" The pilot turns to speak to Weiss, only to see her jump down a hatch into the cargo hold, as she is determined to stop the swarm. He then pressed then the button for the intercom. "What are you doing?"

"What we should've done in the first place! You're carrying Dust, right?" Weiss asked.

"Officially, no. Actually, yes," The pilot answered as Weiss opens a large container of vials of powdered Dust and loads her weapon Myrtenaster with six of them.

"Then when I tell you, open the rear door!" Weiss called out to him.

"Better make it quick!" The pilot shouted back as he makes multiple evasive maneuvers, but the Lancers gain on the ship and begin to shoot their stingers at it.

"Ready!" Weiss called out as the cargo doors open and the battle begins. Using glyphs and Dust, Weiss succeeds in eliminating one of the Grimm.

"Haha! Hold on!" The pilot called out as Weiss eliminates five more while the pilot continues to do evasive maneuvers. She gets knocked off balance when the cargo ship rocks.

"Ah! What was that?!" Weiss shouted as she tried to keep her footing.

"We're hooked!" Pilot called out as it showed that the upper level of the cargo ship has Lancer stingers sticking in through the ceiling.

The outside of the airship has two Lancers firmly planted on top of it before the rest of the swarm gains on the cargo ship once more, with some of the Grimm flying alongside it.

"I got an idea! Hold on! Literally!" The pilot called out as he accelerates the ship toward one of the floating islands, waiting until the last possible moment before suddenly diving and using the remaining forward momentum to throw the Lancers on the ship off into the side of the rock formation. "Ha ha!"

"Can you find a pair of islands we can fit between?" Weiss asked as the cargo ship is turned and travels toward a pair of closely adjacent, interconnected islands.

"Kid, you are reading my mind!" As the cargo ship narrowly avoids the close islands walls and the attacking Lancers, Weiss fires three fireballs from her glyphs to destroy an overhanging rock formation. The attack causes debris that kills the attacking Grimm. "Yeah! Great going, kid! We are in the clear!"

Immediately after Weiss exhales in relief, a Lancer significantly larger than the rest suddenly appears outside the cargo doors.

"It's a Queen Lancer!" Weiss shouted in shock.

"What?!" The pilot also shouted in shock as the Queen Lancer attacks and Weiss is unable to stop it.

"Do something!"

Weiss uses most of the Dust crates to explode against the creature, but it survives unscathed.

"I can see the shoreline! Gods, we're not gonna make it!"

Weiss recomposes herself till she heard a familiar cry.

"Swel!" Like the speed of a bullet, the Queen Lancer got hit from above by Temari the Swellow using Fly.

"Temari!" Weiss called out in joy as the pilot tried to stabilize the damaged airship.

Temari then use Wing Attack as she went straight for the large Lancer, the large wasp Grimm saw this and tried to evade her but Temari chased it through the floating islands.

The two creatures maneuver through the floating masses of land as Temari pick up some speed and rammed her right wing to the Queen's thorax. The Grimm cried out in pain which alerts the other Lancers to attack Temari, but the Swallow Pokemon used Double Team to confuse them and she continued chasing the Queen. As the large Grimm tried and tried to escape, Temari finally finished it off with a Wing Attack to its head.

As the deed was finally done, Temari flew back to the airship as Weiss gave her a thumbs, but something blew up from the airship as it slowly began to crash down.

"We're going to crash!" The pilot called out as Weiss look at Temari.

"Get him out of here! I'll be fine!" Weiss ordered as Temari nods and flew inside to grab the pilot and quickly get out. Weiss then tried to slow the ship down with her Semblance, but will not stop the crash.

Inside the White Fang headquarters, Adam kneels before a Tiger Faunus woman, who is sitting on a throne flanked by two guards on either side of her.

She has amber eyes, dark complexion and wild black, chin-length hair with an asymmetrical bob style. Her Faunus trait manifested as an extra pair of ears, and her body was adorned with numerous tattoos resembling tiger stripes. She wore four golden earrings on three of her ears, one each on her Human ears, and two on her left Faunus ear as well as a small jewel on her forehead.

She was seen wearing a form-fitting dark gray sleeveless top with white trim, the top has a large diamond cut out of the back exposing most of her back accompanied by a smaller diamond-shaped cutout just above her breasts. A long gray skirt with white accents that shaped inwards towards her calves allowing from them to be partially revealed them and her over the knee black stockings with golden trim alongside two long splits on the side which revealed a pair of black shorts. Over the dress, she wore a back-revealing long red cape that was clasped by golden accessories at the top of her small diamond cutout, as well as a gray waist cincher with red trim that had a black golden buckled belt over it, which fastened a gray pouch on her right hip. Aside from that, she wore a pair of light gray wedged sandals that had red laces which were tied to her calves, as well as a black elbow-length fingerless glove on her right hand. She also wore a red rope with a golden bell on her left side wrapped around her waist with a matching rope wrapped around her right wrist. On her left wrist, she has a small gray vambrace according to her concept art.

"Adam. I'm not going to repeat myself, so I want you to listen when I tell you that the White Fang will not attack Haven Academy," The woman said with finality.

"High Leader Khan, I am begging you," Adam pleaded.

"You should beg for forgiveness and nothing else! The assault you led onBeaconwas not the great victory you clearly think it was, and you should be more grateful your punishment was not more severe. You are a symbol for many in our organization, but that doesn't make you infallible," Miss Khan scolded the Bull Faunus.

"I was merely trying to follow your example, High Leader," Adam pointed out.

"And what example might that be?"

"Strength. Strength and unwavering conviction. The humans have seen that strength now."

"I was one of the first to suggest violence where violence was necessary. Peace bred complacency and acceptance of our place in the world. I will not allow humanity to push us down without pushing them back. But the destruction of the Huntsman Academies crosses a line! The loss of the CCT has brought global communication to a crawl! And the White Fang is more of a target now than ever before! You have justified humanity's campaign against us, and for what?! Empty promises from a group of humans? Humans we still know nothing about, and come and go as they please! These are not examples of strength, Adam. They are examples of your talents being diminished by shortsightedness!" She yelled at him in rage.

"If you want to know more about the humans, then why not talk to one of them yourself?" Adam said as he stood up and faced the door. "Hazel!"

Then a man opens the door to the large room.

He is a tall and muscular middle-aged man. He was also unusually large and broad, as he was shown to tower over Adam who stood 6'4". He had short brown hair, a beard and hazel eyes. His hairy arms had some large scars running up them, a result of using Dust infusions.

He wore wore a two-tone olive green coat over a black 3/4 sleeve shirt, and a large belt. His pants were black, with a pouch strapped to each pants leg, and his boots are brown with white fronts. Some of his scars near the edges of his sleeves are visible.

"Took you long enough," The man named Hazel said as he enters the room.

Miss Khan rises from her seat and her guards all point their spears toward Hazel.

"What is this?!" She shouted for answers.

"Apologies. I don't aim to cause any trouble," Hazel said.

"You've brought a human to this location?" She said to Adam.

"You should hear what he has to say," The Bull Faunus said.

"This is grounds for execution!"

"Ma'am, please. Nobody needs to die today," Hazel then kneeled in front of her. "I'm just asking for a moment of your time."

"The longer you stay here, the less of a chance you have of leaving alive."

"I'll take those chances, if you don't mind."

Miss Khan then sits back down, her guards return to their neutral position and Hazel rises again before continuing to speak.

"You don't like me. You have no reason to like me. But you don't have to like me to get the results you want," Hazel said.

"I'm starting to doubt either of you fully comprehend what it is that I want. I want humanity to fear the Faunus, to know that we demand respect! I do not want to start a war with the humans that we cannot win!"

"That's where you're wrong," Adam said as Miss Khan and and Hazel focus on Adam who begins to advance toward his leader. "We can win a war against the humans. Not only because we have the support of Hazel's master, but because the Faunus are the dominant species of this planet. We're better than humans. We have everything humans have and more. Humans shouldn't just fear the Faunus, they should serve the Faunus."

"I've had enough of this conversation for tonight. Guards, take them away." She ordered but they stayed the guards stayed still. "I said, take them away!"

"I will admit, Sienna, you were right about my popularity. My followers in Vale already see me as the true High Leader. And many here in Mistral feel the same," Adam said as Hazel look at him questioningly.

Four armed White Fang soldiers enter through the main doors and stop, pointing their weapons into the room as Sienna rises to her feet.

"What are you doing?" Hazel questioned him.

"What's right for the Faunus. From this day forward, I will be the one to lead the White Fang," Adam said as four more soldiers reveal themselves with their weapons drawn, two on each side of the room, as Sienna's guards point their weapons at her. Sienna quickly judges the situation, though taken by surprise. Her eyes narrow darkly.

"If you think I'll just step aside and follow beneath you, you're wrong," Sienna said as she was about turn towards him till they heard a quick woosh.

"Agh!" Two of the guards shouted in pain as something hit them on the head till they saw that they were only hit by water

Everyone then became wary till two more guards were hit by the small pressurized water bullets.

Suddenly someone grab on to Sienna and quickly ran off.

"After them!" Adam ordered as the guards tried to catch up to them but they were already far away.

Far away from the crazed Faunus, Sienna look to her savior and saw that it was Yunero the Inteleon carrying her bridal style.

"Just right in time," Yunero said as he ran in mach speed

"Who are you supposed to be?" Sienna questioned the Pokemon turned Faunus.

"Just a guy who knew that this would happen, it is quite suspicious that the White Fang are spying on the Belladonnas," Yunero said as Sienna look in shock.

"They what?!" She shouted.

"A coup is upon us madam, that sociopath on your ranks are joining to a greater evil," Yunero explained. "Right now, we need to get you hidden before they could hunt you down."

"Where?" Sienna asked.

"To my leader of course, but you might not like him if you see him," Yunero said.

"Try me."

"You ask for it."

Needless to say, Randy's apartment was thrashed by the Tiger Faunus and had to sit on the floor till they got repairs.

With Weiss, the cargo ship has crashed in a forest. Weiss is lying injured on the ground with clothes dirtied as two bandits approach her.

"Help... please," Weiss pleaded weakly.

"What do you think?" The first bandit asked.

Suddenly Raven approaches the two as she take a position between the two bandits and directly above Weiss.

"I think... we just hit the jackpot," Raven said as Weiss' face turns to one of concern as she looks up at Raven, who stomps on her face, causing her to lose consciousness.

Unbeknownst to the four, a pair of blacks eyes saw this and growled.

And that is done for this chapter.

Since I pretty much reached this far, I think I have a lot of explaining to do about the story.

Basically the four trainers made a big butterfly effect, with Vic's intervention to Blake and Weiss' argument, Pyrrha surviving, and so much more.

Not everything will be the same if something is added in the story and wouldn't leave a big impact.

Some lives are eventually gonna survive but don't expect all of them. Like other stories, change is inevitable if the effect is really massive, but some will stay the same like the original.

With this big effect, future chapters will have some differences from the original within my story like every other stories that is made by other authors.

This might be not the answer that you are expecting, but you can think of it with your imagination just don't go too far.

For now, I thank you guys for reading this.

Vic out Peace.
