Welcome back ladies and gentlemen. Sorry for the wait, adopted a cat a few days ago and he demanded attention.

CandyLuv99; Well there's more additions to come. Can't wait to know what you think.

Without further ado, here's chapter thirty. Enjoy!

Life in the Pridelands were peaceful. The rule of King Mufasa was happy and plentiful. A lot of good changes and Sarafina were no exception.

Since her and Scar's daughter, Nala, which the prince didn't know about, was born. The pale cream lioness has been seeing Das and as Nala reached her third month, Sarafina fell pregnant.

Das wanted his cub to be born and looked to him as a proper role model. In order to right the wrongs he seeked out his cubhood enemy in hopes to make amends and asked for his blessing.

The yellow-peach lion sound found who was looking for and made way to him.

For Scar, he heard about Sarafina being pregnant. From his daughter, Zira and knew what his bully wanted. So he asked Das to join him for a walk.

Scar looked at the lion that stole so much. The little reddish mohawk he wore on the top of his head as a cub had grown into a handsome reddish mane. He gained a significant amount of muscle mass while helping the huntresses.

"It's real brave of you came to me to ask for my blessing to take my mate as yours. Who knows, maybe I ought to have made you a guardian after all?"

"Really?!" Das gasped in shock, immediately reflecting himself because of how silly and selfish his reaction was.

The black-maned lion grinned delicately. He then began to ascend a tall hill. Das hesitated, seeing how dark the sky had turned.

"Err, where… where exactly are we?" Das stammered. "Scar, I think we better head back. We've made it too far north. I think a storm is coming."

"Oh, don't you worry about those clouds!" the prince kept encouraging him to continue walking, himself disappearing over the top of a ridge. "You're not afraid, are you?"

Understanding what the former leader of the Lion Guard was referring to, Das hurried his steps… and when he did, he saw where exactly his friend had taken him.

"Scar…" the new father gasped, observing the prince standing in front of a huge skeleton. "We're in the Elephant Graveyard! We're outside of the borders of the Pridelands! We… we have to go back…"

"Do we?" Scar asked, laughing in a very strange way. Then he remembered one mission while he lead the guard where he took Amory here. "Do you know that when I first took Amory, Kings bless his soul, here, he didn't as much as bat an eyelash at the appearance of this place? Whereas your eyes are as wide as the sockets of that skull over there."

Das felt a prick of anger after such a remark.

"You're making fun of me…" Das glared.

This time, Scar's laughter was a much deeper one.

"You tell me, Das?"

All of a sudden, the echo of the prince's chuckle was joined and magnified by a whole choir of crazy laughs…

It was only then that he felt the scent that was on the air.

"Hyenas!" Das growled as a shiver ran down his spine. "We've got to get out of here!"

"But why?" asked the grinning Scar. "Can't you see that they're on my side?"

Indeed, from behind the prince's back, a trio of giggling creatures stumbled from inside of the dead elephant's skull.

Das bared his fangs, surprised that his friend did not do the same thing immediately… And then, to his great astonishment, he saw the hyenas halting right by the King's brother's side.

"Meet Shenzi, Banzai and Ed." Scar said to him. Next, he turned to the nasty-looking hyena female. "I expect you to honor our agreement."

"With pleasure!" answered Shenzi, making the others chuckle even more. And then she howled gruesomely.

Completely shocked, Das noticed a whole bunch of laughing hyenas appearing behind his back, walking toward him from over the hill they'd just crossed. Seeing their sharp teeth made his heart stop for a moment…

"Scar," he gasped, seriously terrified. "What are you trying to do?"

"Isn't it obvious?" the prince snarled matter-of-factly. "I remember you mocking me since we were both cubs. You've always been jealous of my position within the pride and the Lion Guard… But that I can understand. What I cannot even begin to fathom is how, after stealing Sarafina away from me, you came to me thinking everything is grand and asking for my blessing! And yet you dare say to me that you mean no disrespect?!"

Das could hardly believe what he was hearing.

"Scar! Taika! But I thought we were friends!"

"My name is not Taika!" Scar growled with venom. "And I've got this saying, one cannot be friends with someone who is dead!"

Then, right before giving the hyenas the order to attack, he looked straight into Das' desperate light brown eyes and hissed.

"Who's the weakest link now!"

The hungry beasts jumped at the lion from all around. He fought back at first… but being greatly outnumbered, and because of the excess of pain from his wounds, finally he began to give in.

"Scar, Sarafina…! My cub…!" Das continued to groan in agony as the hyenas chewed on his flesh.

Scar frowned with bitter disappointment.

"Cub-play." Scar sneered. "And you wanted me to name you bravest in the Pridelands?"

Thoroughly satisfied with the scene which was happening before his eyes, he turned away and left.

...

Getting rid of Das caused him a lot of pleasure- the true relief he needed after the tragic events that took place in his life. He was so happy that he spent the night in the Elephant Graveyard, and when morning came, he decided to personally thank his hyenas.

"Now we are even." Scar said to Shenzi. "Quid pro quo- I saved your friend, you removed a thorn in my side. Behold what mutual advantages lie in the cooperation of our two species."

"Pleasure's all ours, princey." the matriarch bared her teeth in a particularly malicious grin.

The handicapped Ed laughed in a truly sickening way. Banzai, who was relaxing on the ground, rubbed his bulging stomach.

"Yeah!" agreed the matriarch's brother. "Never thought I'd like a lion so much, heh-heh…"

Another screed of crazed chuckles reached Scar's ears.

"That's enough!" the reddish-brown lion growled viciously, instantly making his minions stiffen. "If you don't hold your rotten tongues, you'll dig a grave for yourselves with them, and for me as well! You will never mention what has happened here yesterday, to anyone! The first one who does that will die by my claws. Is this clear?!"

The sight of the lion's sharp fangs made Shenzi, Banzai and Ed shiver. They knew he was being serious.

"Hey, fine, fine thing boss!" assured the matriarch, smiling awkwardly. "Don't worry, we can keep a secret… No-one ain't gonna hear a thing, just like they ain't gonna find a single bone left of your former friend…"

That was more like what Scar wanted to hear.

"Good." Scar smiled. "Now make sure to lay low until I need your services again."

~PP~

A few months passed and the disappearance of Das hit everyone hard. Sarafina gave birth to a beautiful girl she named, Nyah.

But Sarafina wasn't the only the only one who gave birth again. Queen Sarabi gave birth to a female, Princess Starra.

A two month old creamy cub ran out of the cave with a giggle. As her older sister ran out behind her. It was Nyah's first time out and she couldn't wait.

"Now you can go the water hole and only that area. Do you understand?" said Sarafina walking out of the cave with Sarabi who was talking to her month old daughter.

The cubs nodded before climbing down the stone slope.

Sarafina smiled at a memory with a sad smile, "They remind me of Mufasa, Taika and us."

Sarabi frowned as her ears folded back as she thought back to her cubhood, "That they do before everything went to hell."

...

At the watering hole was Kesi and Samiha watching their cubs play with the other cubs of the pride.

Kesi and Samiha were of Uru and Nefertiti's generation but couldn't find a mate. Until a few months ago they mated with a couple of passing rogues.

It was their cubs' first time out.

Samiha had given birth to two cubs, a male and female. Desta and Kula. Desta the oldest was brownish and his mother's brown eyes. Kula the last born of Samiha and the rogue was light brown like her father with dark green eyes.

Kesi had given birth to a single cub a male. Chumvi. Chumvi was dull brown with the messy tuff on his head and his mother's black eyes.

Princess Starra, goldish with orange eyes like her mother and brother.

This was the pride's newest batch of cubs, the Pride Lands' future.
