In this story, Rukia is our heroine, validated by strong men who acknowledge her worth and skills. If our men are losers, our society will collapse. As women, what we need is equal footing with men, without devaluing each other.

Byaruki thoughts: Side stories for Game of Life

A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.

Chapter 3: Life with you, but without you [part 8]

"Interesting" Gin commented after the two Kuchikis were far away from his squad's hall.

"What is?" the brown haired man questioned, amused.

"Byakuya and his sister" Gin replied as his smile grew wider.

"Sister?" the bespectacled man asked. "I didn't know he had a sister" he added after awhile, entertained.

Gin almost laugh at how perfectly dumb his superior sounded, when he knew almost everything. Almost.

"Nah. It's his late wife's sister" Gin answered playfully.

"Oh. I thought he had finally decided to free his bird out of the cage. And let his wife work as a shinigami" Aizen amusedly commented, as he readjusted his eyeglasses, which he really does not need.

At this, Gin could not help but smile wider in amusement.

And its seems like, he had found his own fun.

Byakuya and Rukia proceeded to enter the squad 13th barracks.

Then they stopped.

Rukia wondered why they suddenly stopped and look questioningly at the man walking a few feet ahead of her, curious.

But no explanation or comment came. Nothing.

Rukia kept waiting.

But silence only came.

"You can stay here" Byakuya started to say, as his back still turned, not wanting to face her, knowing that they were alone, and he could practically do anything without interruption: such as holding her perhaps or at least give a word of comfort.

But he must not.

It's enough that he made a mistake before, but planting another mistake even a little in her heart that already forgotten him, will cause nothing but trouble.

"Rukia" he uttered her name with so much hidden and suppressed emotion, that it came out almost strangled and forced.

"I will speak with your captain" he said as an excuse, to stop any further temptation to do something to her.

Something that is completely stupid.
