Hello everybody, Zelda777 here with another chapter of the Eternal Love of Twilight. I hope all of you are enjoying the story so far. If you don't want to miss anything please follow if you haven't already. Also, please review and let me know what you think.
Link ran all the way to the Royal Quarters and found Minda asleep on the bed. He looked at her then went to Twila's room to check if she is alright. Once Link saw that she was okay too, he walked back to where he found Chief Vegt. Now chief Vegt was lying on the ground unfrozen as if nothing had happened to him. Link shook him to see if he would gain consciousness. Link succeeded.
"Vegt, what in the world happened to you?" Link asked.
"I don't know what you are talking about."
"You were frozen solid."
"If I didn't know you I'd say you were delusional."
"Something's definitely wrong." A voice said behind them. Link turned and before him stood the Golden Wolf.
"Kakau, what are you doing here." Link said.
"Something bad is happening in Hyrule which is causing strange things to happen here."
"Link who are you talking to," Vegt asked.
"Oh, he can't see me," Kakau said. "You'll have to explain it to him."
"I'm talking to Kakau." Link replied, "He is the golden wolf that appeared to me in the realm of light and he taught me some of the sword techniques that I tried to teach the Twilight Royal guard."
"Oh yeah, I remember you and Midna talking about him."
Link looked to Kakau. "What is it that you want me to do?"
"Well you have to protect this realm from the evil that is happening here," Kakau replied. "And the new hero in the Light realm will take care of the other half of the problem."
"So what you are saying is that there are two halves of the same person causing problems," Vegt asked.
"Yes exactly," Kakau said. "The other day Zelda found ashes in her daughter's crib and her daughter was nowhere to be found."
"So that means that the enemy is a Fire user."
"Yes."
"Well, I couldn't say the same with what I saw." Link said. "I saw you Vegt frozen solid in ice."
Vegt thought very hard trying to decipher what is happening.
"I think I see a pattern here."
Link and Kakau looked at him.
"What do you mean?" Link asked.
"Your Majesty, do you remember you telling me about the Curse of Demise." Vegt started, "And you told me that he cursed the bloodline of the goddess and the spirit of the hero."
Link nodded his head finally understanding where his train of thought was going. "So you are saying is that whoever is causing this has a grudge against the spirit of the hero and the bloodline of the goddess."
"That is exactly what I am trying to say."
"Well I wish I could help save both realms but I have this realm to take care of now."
Kakau looked at him. "I know you want to save both realms yourself but you are the King of this realm and it's your sworn duty to protect this land first."
Link nodded sadly. "Yeah, but maybe I..."
"No there is already someone else who took up the master sword just like you did."
Link looked at him. "Who?"
"You know him." Kakau replied, "Who looked up to you in Ordon Village."
Link thought about that for a minute. "Well all of the Ordon children looked up to me but the only one that I could think of is Colin."
"That is exactly who."
"Well, I know how much of a burden it is but there is nothing I can do." Link said, "Kakau can I ask you a favor?"
Kakau nodded. "Yes, you can."
"Could you train him the way of the sword, as you did with me?"
"Only if the Goddesses allow me to."
"Thank you." Link said. "Well, I need to figure out who is responsible for this here in the Twilight realm."
"Nothing really bad has happened yet here." Kakau said, "But I came just to warn you of what is to come of the Twilight Realm."
Link nodded as Kakau disappeared.
"Chief Vegt, there is something I'd like to discuss with you."
"What is it, your majesty?"
"Well, on my way to the Temple of Twilight before I left for the realm of light." Link said. "I ran into a people known to me as the Zora's."
"Sorry to interrupt your majesty but let me just guess that you want to sign an alliance with them."
Link nodded his head. "Yes, they are very skilled in both fishing, and also their architecture is truly magnificent."
"Do you know what their weaknesses are?" Vegt asked.
"They only have one weakness and that's electricity."
"Well, I'm totally alright with the alliance."
"I will make the announcement in an hour." Link replied, "Please assemble the people together."
Vegt bowed, "Of course your majesty right away."
Once Vegt left Link walked back to the royal chambers to get Midna and Twila so they could get ready for the announcement.
After Midna got Twila into her royal robes Twila ran to Link.
"Where are we going daddy." (Those of you who don't know Twila is 5 years old now.)
"I'm going to make the announcement of a new people that are now a part of our Kingdom."
"Who are they?" Twila asked.
"Do you remember the Zoras in Hyrule?"
Twila nodded her head.
"Well, the people are twilight versions of the Zoras."
"That should be fun."
Midna grabbed Twila's hand and walked her to the Royal Waiting area near the Outlook where Link will make the announcement.
Once Link felt like he was ready to make the announcement he walked up to the podium and everyone bowed.
"Hello everyone I have an announcement to make." Link started, "On my way to the temple of twilight I ran into a people who I think would make a great addition to our Kingdom."
The crowd murmured to themselves. Link held up his hand and the crowd was quiet again.
"These people are a hybrid fish race known in Hyrule as the Zora's. The Zora's are excellent fishers and their architecture is truly magnificent." Link continued. "I think they would make a great addition to the kingdom. But I would want to know what you think about this matter." Link stepped back and Cheif Elder Vegt stepped up.
"This is how this is going to work, each family will have a representative announce what your family thinks about this matter. Whenever the results come in his majesty King Link will announce the final results."
Link sat down with his wife and daughter awaiting the decision of the people.
"I hope that they agree with me about adding the Zoras to our Kingdom." Link said.
Midna looked at him. "Yeah, I think they would."
"You really think so."
Midna nodded her head. "Yes, they would."
"I sure hope so."
At that moment Chief Elder Vegt walked into the room.
"Your majesties, the people have made a decision."
"Well, let's go see what decision that they made." Link said as they followed Vegt back to the podium.
Once Link, Midna, and Twila sat on their thrones the families one by one began telling what they have decided.
When all was complete the majority of the people voted to allow the Zoras to be a part of the Kingdom of Twirule.
Link stepped up to the podium. "I'd like to thank all of you for your cooperation in this matter. I will let the King of the Zoras know that we accept their terms of the alliance."
Later that Night
Link put Twila to bed and walked back to his and Midna's room.
"Hey Love," Midna said. "I have some excellent news."
"What is it?" Link asked as he took off his royal robes and climbed in bed.
"Well you see I'm pregnant again," Midna replied.
Link looked at her shocked. "Really."
Midna nodded her head. "Yes, after the announcement of the addition of the Zoras I went to see Kerea because I wasn't feeling quite well."
"Did she tell you if it was a boy or a girl." Link asked hoping it was a boy.
"She told me it was too early to tell," Midna replied. "Why?"
"I'm hoping It's a boy so I could teach him the things that Rusl taught me."
"Well, don't plan on doing that because I was hoping our first child was a girl so I could teach her the things that my mother taught me but it seems that she is really more into you than she is with me."
"It's not my fault that she turned out like that," Link said.
"It has everything to do with you." Midna snapped, "You simply can't tell her no can you?"
"I can too." Link snapped back. "I thought you said the reason was that I look different than everyone else."
"It is," Midna said. "I was just messing with you."
"Well, let's get to sleep." Link said. "Tomorrow I have to write King Hiri about our decision."
Link and Midna were both exhausted that they both fell to sleep real quick.
