Pansy had to drag me out of our room the next morning, as soon as I entered the common room and I saw Draco, he took one look at me and left. I couldn't sleep the previous night, instead, I kept replaying what happened. It broke me to reject him but what could I do? I was a Death Eater and Draco didn't know.

Pansy was confused at Draco's actions but I merely shrugged when she asked me what it was about, I shared a look with Blaise and he smiled sadly at me. I walked with Blaise and Pansy to The Great Hall, Draco was sat on his own at the end of the table, his eyes on the table. It didn't look like he got much sleep either, it looked like he'd been crying though and my own eyes stung at the sight.

I dropped my bag as someone barged past my shoulder, "Warch it!" I hissed angrily and turned around quickly, "Potter" I added in a dry tone.

"Adria, where's your master?" Potter asked and my anger rose, Potter looked around and saw Draco at the table. Draco had looked up at some point and was no glaring at Potter.

"Watch your mouth, Potter" Blaise stepped in and Potter smiled before looking at me.

"Trouble in paradise?" He asked, raising his eyebrows and my fists clenched. "Can't say I'm too surprised"

"You know what" I sighed and picked my bag back up, "I don't even have the strength to stoop to your level, Potter, just leave me alone" I turned to leave the Great Hall but Potter grabbed my wrist quickly.

"I'm sorry, I'm just in a bad mood," Potter said and I looked at his hand around my wrist with a raised eyebrow.

"You're going to want to let go," I said in a low voice, I saw that Draco had stood up from his seat and was making his way over but Potter didn't let go.

"Look, Adria, I'm sorry," Potter said in a calmer tone, "Why don't you come to eat breakfast with us?"

"I'd rather gouge my eyes out" I spat, I tried to pull my wrist free but Potter was surprisingly strong for his size. A pale hand had closed around Potter's and pulled him off.

"If I see you touch her again and I swear I'll kill you" Draco spoke in a dangerously low tone, "Now fuck off!" Potter grumbled something under his breath and left. Draco turned to me and his eyes softened slightly, he scanned over my wrist before meeting my eyes, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Draco," I said softly and crossed my arms across my chest, "Excuse me" I pushed past Draco and rushed from the room.

I barely managed to concentrate in Potions, I messed up The Draught Of Peace and when Snape passed he dropped something into my cauldron and passed his wand over the top and a light silver vapour rose from my cauldron. I looked up at Snape and he nodded slightly at my arm. My heart sank, he knew. I looked over at Draco and I knew he saw what Snape did and he frowned slightly before turning back to his work.

I didn't even crack a smile in DADA when Potter got served detention because he was shouting his mouth off about Voldemort. I didn't laugh when Pansy cracked a joke about a Ravenclaw girls hairstyle. I didn't smile when Blaise tried to cheer me up.

It was during the evening feast when I had a horrible realization that made me drop my drink. I looked around and realised that Draco wasn't there. Draco made a choice for me in the summer and it almost ruined everything we had and now here I was doing the same thing. I was a hypocrite.

I walked into the common room at the end of the feast and my heart jumped when I saw Draco sitting on the sofa, "Draco?" I said softly, Draco turned his head towards me slightly before getting up and walking out of the room.

"Fuck this" I muttered before I followed him up the stairs, ignoring the looks of the boys as I walked down the hall, I didn't bother to knock and I pushed open the door. Draco was lying on his bed with a book in his hands, he did not indicate that he had heard me. I strode across the room and pulled the book from his hands and slammed it down on the bedside table. "You are not going to sulk like a child!"

"I'll do what I want, thank you very much!" Draco snapped at me as he sat up, I stepped back when he swung his legs over the edge of the bed, "What do you want?"

I opened my mouth suddenly regretting following him up, I don't know what I was planning when I followed him. I sighed and turned away from Draco and paced the room a few times, "I don't even know where to begin" I finally said and settled for looking out the window. "Wait, yeah, I do" I turned back to Draco but I didn't move.

"Adria, what the hell is going on with you?" Draco asked as he crossed the room towards me and my hands gripped onto a chair.

"I'm sorry about last night" I finally said, "But I couldn't tell you because I was worried about how you would take it, and I realised earlier that I'm doing the same thing you did to me in the summer"

"And what's that?"

"I took away your choice," I said quietly and Draco sighed, "And I'm sorry for that. But for you to have that choice, you need to know" I let go of the chair I was holding and turned away from him as I rolled my sleeve up my left arm. I took a breath as I turned back around with my left forearm showing.

Tears burned my eyes as Draco took a couple of steps back his eyes wide and locked onto The Dark Mark that covered my arm. I let my arm fall back to my side and I waited. I waited for him to say something, do something. Anything. The silence was killing me and my heart was racing. Draco came forward again, took my left in his and lifted my arm back up.

I held my breath as Draco ran his other hand over The Dark Mark and then he looked at me, "Why would you do that?" Draco asked me, his voice barely above a whisper.

"He was going to kill you if I didn't" I admitted and looked down, "I also did it so you wouldn't have to. It was my condition so to speak."

"You did this for me?" Draco asked, "Why?"

"I could live with you hating me for the rest of my life but I couldn't live with the fact that you would be dead," I said after a minute, "I love you, Draco, I couldn't let it happen"

"This is why you shot me down last night?" Draco asked and I nodded, "You stupid, stubborn woman" He added and pulled me into his arms, I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my head into his neck.

"I'm so sorry I didn't tell you last night," I said and lifted my head back up to look at him, "I was so worried about how you'd react and I was terrified that you'd turn and run"

"Dia, I made you a promise two years ago. I'm not going anywhere" Draco said quietly, he bought up a hand and rested it on my cheek, I leaned into his touch "And for Merlin's sake stop thinking I'm going abandon you because I'm not"

"Then you're just as stupid and stubborn as I am," I said and Draco rolled his eyes, I stepped back when I heard the door open and Blaise walked in.

Blaise's eyes fell on my exposed arm and I quickly rolled my sleeve back down, "Everything okay?" Blaise asked and Draco quickly turned to look at him.

"Yep!" Draco answered quickly and Blaise raised an eyebrow.

"I know, Draco" He deadpanned and Draco turned on me quickly.

Shit.

"He knew?" Draco asked me and I looked away as I saw the look of betrayal on his face. "He knew before I did?"

"He's my brother, Draco" I replied quietly. "I-"

"I figured it out after you stormed out of the common room last night" Blaise cut in quickly and I looked at him with wide eyes. "It wasn't that hard to put two and two together. She wouldn't have turned you down if it wasn't for a reason"

Draco sighed and ran a hand through his hair as his eyes scanned my face, I opened my mouth but then closed it again. What could I say? The situation was bad enough as it was, I couldn't make it any worse. I shook my head slightly, "I'll just go," I muttered and quickly left the room before any more questions were brought up.

Now it's up to Draco what he wants to do with it. It should have been his choice from the start.
